Twenty-First World Martial Arts Tournament

TWENTY-FIRST WORLD MARTIAL ARTS TOURNAMENT

The plane in which Goku, Gine, Krillin, and Master Roshi were flying over the city at night, and both Goku and Gine were fascinated to see the city lights at night. Goku was amazed that something as large as an airplane could fly.

_ "It's beautiful!" Gine said with a big smile. "Earth's civilization is indeed beautiful and fascinating," she thought to herself.

Then there was an incident where Master Roshi was being inappropriate with a flight attendant, and she ended up throwing a tray of drinks at the perverted Master Roshi.

_ Gine only looked disapprovingly at the perverted Master Roshi and said, "Master Roshi, it seems you are beyond redemption."

_ "That's true, and he won't learn from that hit either," Krillin said with a smile as he looked at his phone.

The plane landed, and Goku, Gine, Krillin, and Master Roshi disembarked, left the airport, and then took a taxi to the location where the World Martial Arts Tournament would take place.

While they were in the taxi, Goku and Gine were fascinated by the Papaya City lights at night.

_"Wow! So this is Papaya City," little Goku said, fascinated.

_ "Have you never been to a city in your life? Did you grow up in a cave or something?" Krillin asked with a furrowed brow.

_ "Goku spent most of his life on Mount Paoz and unfortunately never had the opportunity to experience civilization," Gine said with a smile.

_ "That explains a lot," Goku said.

_"Hmm! That explains a lot," Krillin said.

The taxi arrived at the World Martial Arts Tournament venue, and once they all got out, Goku, Gine, and Krillin were amazed by the palace-like setting. The main combat platform was larger than the others, surrounded by immense stands for the thousands of spectators who would watch the tournament matches. They were also astonished by the vast number of fighters and spectators gathered there.

_"A man with a megaphone was saying, 'All participants who want to register for the World Martial Arts Tournament, come over here, please,'" Gine translated.

_"Alright, Goku, Gine, and Krillin, come over here for registration," Master Roshi instructed.

The registration officer asked Master Roshi, "Are you participating?"

Master Roshi replied, "No, these 2 kids and this girl will be participating."

_"What? Sir, are you sure these 2 kids and this teenage girl will participate?" the registration officer asked, astonished.

_"Yes," Master Roshi confirmed.

Meanwhile, Goku, Gine, and Krillin were astounded as they gazed at the Martial Arts Palace.

_ Gine, feeling happy and excited, said, "I really like the architecture of this Palace."

_ Goku nodded, saying, "I feel the same way, Mom."

Suddenly, Goku and Gine heard a familiar voice.

_ "Hello, friends! How are you?" said a familiar voice.

_ "Huh? That voice is from..." Gine said, astonished.

_ "Goku, Gine, over here!" said the familiar voice.

Yamcha emerged from the crowd, wearing his green and orange gi.

_ "Yamcha?" exclaimed Gine, astonished.

_ "What? It's Yamcha, I didn't even realize," Goku said, surprised.

_ "Oh! That's because I cut my hair since Bulma told me long hair is no longer in fashion," Yamcha said with a smile, feeling embarrassed as he scratched the back of his head.

_ "Hello, Yamcha. How have you been, friend?" Goku said, happily.

_ "I've been good. And how about you?" Yamcha asked.

_ "I've been good. By the way, let me introduce you to Krillin, who trained with me and my mom for the past 8 months under Master Roshi," Goku said.

_ "Nice to meet you, Krillin. And how about you, Gine? How have you been?" Yamcha asked.

_ "Same here," Krillin said.

_ "I've been well. I must say, you look much nicer with short hair, Yamcha. I hope you're behaving now," Gine said with a smile.

_ "Well, thank you, Gine. And yes, I've left my bandit days behind," Yamcha said, happily and blushing.

Then Bulma, Oolong, and Puar appeared.

_ "Bulma!" Goku exclaimed, happy and excited.

_ "Bulma! So great to see you!" Gine said, equally happy and excited.

_ "Goku! Mom Gine! So happy to see you again," Bulma said, happily.

_ "Mom Gine?" Gine asked, confused.

_ "It's because you've always been like the mother of the group," Bulma said with a smile.

_ "Hehe, I understand," Gine said with a smile.

_ Later, Goku and Gine exchanged friendly and cheerful greetings with Oolong and Puar upon their reunion after a long time. Then Master Roshi appeared, saying, "Goku, Gine, Krillin, you are now registered for the Tournament." After that, Master Roshi noticed Bulma and tried to be inappropriate with her, but Bulma gave him a deserved punch.

_ "Old Roshi will never change," Oolong remarked.

_ "No kidding," Gine said.

_ Bulma asked Gine, "So, I assume you and Goku came to participate in the Martial Arts Tournament?"

_ Gine nodded, saying, "That's right. Goku and I have trained for several months."

_ "That's great. By the way, where have you been? I went to Master Roshi's Island to visit you and couldn't find you," Bulma replied.

_ "Master Roshi took us to another island along with his house to train us better," Gine said.

_ "I see," Bulma said.

_ "I'm glad to know that you and Goku have been training hard because starting tomorrow, we'll be rivals, and this time, Gine, you won't defeat me, as I've also trained a lot," Yamcha said.

_ "Tomorrow? So, does the Tournament not start today?" Goku asked, feeling a bit sad.

_ "No, dear, it will be tomorrow. It's too late to start the Tournament now, don't you think?" Gine said.

_ Goku, feeling sad, said, "Oh! I wanted the Martial Arts Tournament to start now."

_ "Patience, Goku. If we were able to patiently wait for this great moment for 8 months of hard training, it won't cost us much to wait one more night, don't you think?" Gine said.

_ "Your mother is right, Goku. Now, let's all go to the hotel to rest. I've already made the reservations," Master Roshi said.

Later, everyone went to the hotel to sleep. Master Roshi would share a room with Yamcha, Oolong, and Puar, while Goku would share a room with Krillin, and finally, Bulma and Gine would share a separate room as they were women. Master Roshi tried to sneak into the room where Bulma and Gine would sleep, but both girls gave him a deserved punch, shouting, "Old pervert!" and kicked him out of the room. The next morning, everyone woke up early, got ready quickly, and went to the venue where the World Martial Arts Tournament would take place.

_ Master Roshi said to his students, "Well, Goku, Gine, and Krillin, this is where I leave you."

_ "Are you leaving already?" Gine asked, confused.

_ "That's right. Oh, right! Before I forget," Master Roshi said as he opened a suitcase from which he took out 3 orange uniforms with a large symbol on the back that said "Turtle," and the same symbol was also on the left side of the front of the shirt of the uniform.

_ Master Roshi told his disciples, "These will be your uniforms. Put them on!"

Goku, Gine, and Krillin received their uniforms, went to the changing rooms, and put on their orange Turtle School uniforms, which also included a blue belt, a pair of blue wristbands, and a pair of lightweight boots.

_ "Wow! These uniforms are really cool," Goku said, happily and excitedly.

_ "Indeed, and they are comfortable too," Krillin said.

_ "I must say, I like this new uniform. Thank you very much, Master Roshi," Gine said with a smile, and both Goku and Krillin also thanked the old Turtle hermit.

_ "You're welcome. Now, I hope the three of you give your best in the tournament. Now, you have to go to the place where the preliminary draw will take place," Master Roshi said.

_ "We will, Master Roshi. Well, kids, let's go," Gine said with a smile full of excitement.

But then Goku heard the crying of a girl saying, "Please give me back my backpack," and the voices of some kids saying, "You want it? Then try to take it from us, silly."

_ "It seems someone is in trouble. I'll go see who it is," Goku said seriously before running to help the girl.

_ "Wait, Goku!" Gine said as she followed her son.

_ "Hurry up, or you'll miss the preliminary draw," Master Roshi said.

Goku followed the girl's cries and found a red-haired girl crying on the ground while three much larger bully boys, who even seemed like teenagers, were teasing her, holding a red backpack and saying, "What's wrong, silly girl? Don't you want your backpack back?" The red-haired girl, crying, said, "Why are you so mean? What have I done to you?"

_ "Hey, leave her alone and give her back her backpack!" Goku said, appearing before the girl and the bullying boys who were bothering her.

_ One of the bully boys mockingly said, "Hey girl, who's that boy? Is he your boyfriend?"

_ "I said give her back her backpack now!" Goku shouted, furious.

_ One of the boys said, "If you want it, you'll have to take it from me, but you'll have to go through my friends if you can, you silly boy. Alright, give that pathetic spiky-haired kid a good lesson so he knows who he's dealing with," the boy holding the girl's backpack said.

_ "Be careful, these kids are very mean and will hurt you!" the red-haired girl warned.

The two bigger boys than Goku, who were the accomplices of the boy holding the girl's backpack, were approaching with the intention of hitting Goku, but Goku ran at a speed that those boys couldn't see and in a jump, he took the backpack from the bully boy without him noticing in the blink of an eye.

_ "What? How did you do that?" one of the bully boys said, astonished.

_ Goku gave those bully boys a fierce look and said, "Go away and leave this girl alone if you know what's good for you!"

The three abusive kids got the message and ran away scared, while the red-haired girl, astonished and blushing, looked at Goku and felt a beautiful feeling growing inside her for the spiky-haired boy who had helped her.

_ Goku approached the girl, handed her back her backpack, and then helped her stand up, asking, "Are you okay?"

_ "Uh... Well... I... I think so," the little red-haired girl said, feeling somewhat embarrassed and blushing.

_ "Well, I must go now. Take care," Goku said.

_ "Hey, wait! You haven't told me your name," the little red-haired girl said.

_ "My name is Son Goku, but just call me Goku. And what's your name?" Goku said with a smile.

_ "My name is Suno. Thank you for helping me," the little Suno said, happy and somewhat blushing.

_ "Nice to meet you, Suno. Well, I have to go now," Goku said with a smile.

_ "Where are you going?" the little Suno asked.

_ "I'm going to participate in the Martial Arts Tournament," Goku said with a determined smile.

_ "What? You? But only big and strong guys will go to that tournament, and you're just a kid," Suno said, astonished.

_ "Well, I've trained for several months with my mom, and I'm sure I'll be able to participate," said Goku, feeling happy and confident.

_ "Oh! I see..." said Suno, astonished.

But then Suno's parents appeared, looking totally worried.

_ "Daughter, what happened? We heard that some kids were bothering you," said Suno's Father.

_ "Yes, but that boy named Son Goku saved me from those kids and made them run away," said Suno, happy as she pointed at Goku.

_ "Really? Wow! It seems you're a very brave and noble boy," said Suno's Mother as she caressed the head of the little Saiyan boy.

_ "It's not a big deal, I just did what anyone would have done in my place," said Goku with a smile, feeling somewhat embarrassed as he scratched the back of his head.

_ "Mom, Dad, can we keep him?" asked Suno, happy and somewhat blushing as she grabbed Goku's arm.

_ "Huh?" said Goku, confused.

_ Then Gine appeared with a nervous smile and said, "Excuse me." Then Gine said to her son, "Goku, we have to go to the Tournament."

_ "I'm sorry, daughter, but it seems the boy already has his mother," said Suno's Father with a nervous smile.

_ "Oh! Well, in that case, ma'am, would you allow us to keep your son? I promise we'll take good care of him," Suno asked with a big smile to the Saiyan mother.

_ "Daughter, please apologize," said Suno's Mother, feeling somewhat embarrassed.

_ Gine chuckled lightly at the girl's request and with a smile said to Suno's mother, "Don't worry, ma'am." Then Gine said to Suno while caressing her head, "You're a very nice girl, you remind me of myself when I was your age, but for now, my son and I have to go to the World Martial Arts Tournament, little one."

_ "Oh! I understand... In that case, Dad, Mom, can I go watch Goku fight?" asked Suno.

_ "Well... You can go as long as you're careful and don't get into trouble," said Suno's Father.

_ "By the way, is your son also going to participate in the World Martial Arts Tournament? Don't you think he's too young?" asked Suno's Mother.

_ "Both my son and I have trained for this Tournament, and although it may not seem like it, my son is much stronger than his small size suggests," said Gine with a smile.

_ "Oh, I see," said Suno's Mother, surprised.

_ "I can vouch for that, Mom. Goku faced three big bully boys alone who took my backpack, and without anyone seeing it, Goku took my backpack from one of those bullies and made them run away scared," said Suno, happy and excited.

_ "Really? Well, in that case, without a doubt, that boy will be able to participate in the Martial Arts Tournament," said Suno's Father.

_ "I know, I saw how my son helped your daughter. Well done, Goku!" said Gine with a smile as she caressed her son's head.

_ Then Suno's Father said, "Oh, by the way! We haven't introduced ourselves. My name is Alexander, and this is my wife, Sofia. We're from a small village called Jingle Village, which is far north from here, and as you may have noticed, we are Suno's parents, and we would like to thank your son for helping our daughter and congratulate her because it seems she's raising a kind-hearted boy."

_ "I'm Gine, and my son and I are from Mount Paoz. Believe me, I appreciate your words, and I congratulate you and your wife for the lovely and kind girl you are raising. She reminds me a lot of myself at her age. Now, if you'll excuse us, my son and I have to go to the Martial Arts Tournament," said Gine with a smile.

Suno's parents bid farewell to the Saiyan Mother and her son, but Suno received permission from her parents to watch the preliminaries of the Tournament as long as she didn't get into trouble. Goku, Gine, and Krillin entered the place where the preliminaries would take place, where unfortunately the audience would not be allowed to enter. Bulma argued with one of the event organizers to let her watch the preliminaries, but they didn't allow it.

_ "What? So I won't be able to see Goku?" Suno asked, feeling sad.

_ "Huh? Little girl, do you know Goku?" Bulma asked.

_ "Well, I met him recently, and I would like to see him," said Suno.

_ "Huh? How so?" Bulma asked the red-haired girl.

Then Suno told Bulma about the circumstances in which she met Goku earlier and how he saved her from some abusive kids.

_ Then Bulma said to the red-haired girl with a mischievous smile, "Oh! I see. So you're a Goku admirer, huh?"

_ "Huh? Well... I... I just want to see him fight," replied Suno, blushing.

_ "Don't worry, we'll figure out a way to watch the preliminaries so you can see Goku," Bulma said, winking at Suno.

Meanwhile, at the Preliminaries Venue

_ The presenter said to all the participants, "Good morning, everyone, at the Twenty-First World Martial Arts Tournament. We appreciate the presence of the 137 fighters from around the world who have come here to participate in the preliminaries. Only 8 of you will be able to participate in the Twenty-First World Martial Arts Tournament, and the champion will take home the prize of half a million Zeni."

_ "Incredible! There are 137 of us, and we'll have to be better than everyone else to be able to participate," said Krillin, feeling nervous.

_ "Don't worry, Krillin, just have faith in yourself and in the hard training you've done for these 8 months," said Gine with a smile.

Then they began the draws for the Tournament preliminaries. According to the rules of the World Martial Arts Tournament, the preliminaries would be divided into 8 blocks, and the winners of each block would be the ones to participate in the Tournament. A match would end when someone surrendered, lost consciousness, or fell off the combat platform, and the use of weapons or killing the opponent was prohibited. Then each participant would draw a number to see which block they would be in. Goku drew number 70, Krillin drew number 93, Yamcha drew number 35, and Gine drew number 12, and the 4 fighters would be in different blocks.

_ "It's great to know that we'll all be in different blocks, so I won't have to fight against Goku and Gine," said Yamcha.

_ "Why? Are you afraid of Goku and Gine?" Krillin said teasingly.

_ "No! It's just that I want to face them when the Tournament starts," replied Yamcha.

_ "Goku, Gine. Be careful not to get eliminated," said Yamcha with a smile.

_ "The same goes for you, Yamcha. It will be a pleasure to face each other in the Tournament," said Gine with a smile.

_ "I wish I had the same confidence you both have," said Krillin, feeling embarrassed.

_ "Just trust in the training you've done, Krillin," said Gine with a smile.

Then a tournament referee called Goku by his number and the participant number 69.

_ "Alright, it's my turn to fight," said Goku, feeling excited.

_ "Go for it, Goku," said Gine, encouraging her son.

_ "You can do it, Goku!" said Krillin.

_ "Oh! So Goku will be the first to fight, now let's see how much he learned from old Roshi," said Yamcha with a smile.

As Goku stepped onto the combat platform, the other participants mocked the little Saiyan boy and belittled him, considering him just a simple child. Meanwhile, Bulma, along with Suno, Oolong, and Puar, were spying on the preliminaries through a window.

_ "Oh my! Goku will be the first to fight," said Bulma.

_ "How exciting! Go, Goku! You can do it!" said little Suno, who was leaning on the edge of a window, standing on tiptoes trying to watch the match.

_ "Meanwhile, on the combat platform, fighter number 69, an immense muscular man with a big mustache who was over 2 meters tall and dressed in large tights, stepped up and then said, 'Who will be my opponent? Where is he? I can't see him.'"

_ "Here I am!" said little Goku.

_ "But you're just a kid! I'll feel good when I step on you like the little cockroach you are!" said fighter number 69.

_ Meanwhile, outside, little Suno watched horrified who would be Goku's opponent and said, "What? Goku is going to fight that giant guy? He'll crush him! I don't want to watch!"

_ "Don't worry, Suno. Don't underestimate Goku, I tell you from my own experience. I've seen him defeat guys bigger than that guy myself," said Bulma with a smile to the little girl.

_ "What? So I won't be able to see Goku?" Suno asked, feeling sad.

_ "Huh? Little girl, do you know Goku?" Bulma asked.

_ "Well, I met him recently, and I would like to see him," said Suno.

_ "What? Are you serious?" Suno asked, astonished.

_ "Just watch," said Bulma.

_ "The time will be just one minute. The first one to fall off the combat platform or become unconscious will lose the match, and in case of a tie, the winner will be decided by score. Now, begin!" said the referee.

In the match, Goku took his fighting stance, and fighter 69 lunged towards little Goku, but Goku dodged at great speed, causing fighter 69 to end up on the edge of the combat platform, almost falling off. With just one finger, Goku pushed him out of the platform, thus winning the match and leaving all the other participants amazed at Goku, except for Gine, who was happy for her son.

_ "Well done, Goku, that's the way! See, Suno? What did I tell you?" Bulma said with a smile to the little red-haired girl.

_ "Amazing! Goku is truly awesome! Go, Goku!" shouted little Suno, happy and blushing.

_ "Hey Suno, Oolong, Puar, how about we go for some ice cream? My treat," Bulma suggested, and everyone agreed.

Meanwhile, some of the competitors tried to downplay little Goku's victory by saying, "It was just luck," but Gine, Krillin, and Yamcha knew better.

_ "Well done, Goku!" Gine said, proud of her son.

Krillin and Yamcha also congratulated Goku, and then 2 monks approached Krillin.

_ "Well, well, if it isn't little Krillin," one of the monks said mockingly.

_ "Oh no! It's them," Krillin said, looking scared.

_ "Huh? Do you know them, Krillin?" Gine asked, confused.

_ "It's been a long time since you left Duolin Temple crying like the weak little kid you are. I can't understand how you had the courage to sign up for a Martial Arts Tournament as big as this one," one of the monks mocked little Krillin.

_ Gine, completely upset, stood between Krillin and those abusive monks, saying, "Leave Krillin alone, you bunch of bullies! Krillin is much stronger than you, and when you see him in action, you'll end up eating your words."

_ "That's right!" said Goku, looking annoyed.

_ "Hahaha, it seems little Krillin made some friends, and it looks like you're in block 3. Tell me, what number did you draw?" one of the monks asked.

_ "93," Krillin answered, feeling nervous.

_ "Hahaha, tough luck for you. Do you know why? Because you'll have to fight against me," the monk said mockingly, making Krillin scared.

_ "Well, Krillin will defeat you and make you eat your words," Gine said, upset, in defense of the little monk.

_ "Hahaha, sure, whatever. Let's go and not waste time with these losers," the monk said, mocking the 3 students of Turtle School.

_ "Those guys always bothered me and hit me at Duolin Temple. I don't stand a chance against them. I think I'm going to give up," Krillin said, feeling sad and embarrassed.

_ "Don't say that, Krillin, you're stronger than them!" Goku encouraged his friend.

_ "Don't even think about it, Krillin. Goku is right. Remember everything you've learned in the months we trained with Master Roshi, so you're going to fight, and you're going to beat that arrogant guy," Gine said firmly, encouraging the little monk.

Gine grew fond of Krillin and even came to consider him as another son during the months they trained together with her and her son Goku under Master Roshi's guidance. Krillin developed a deep appreciation and admiration for the Saiyan mother because she always gave him advice, looked after him during the training with Master Roshi, and it was thanks to Gine and Goku's constant encouragement that Krillin was able to continue with Master Roshi's tough training.

I apologize for the oversight. Here is the corrected translation with the Dragon Ball characters' names in English as appropriate:

_ "Do you really think I can beat him?" asked Krillin, feeling embarrassed, to which Goku and Gine nodded firmly.

_ "Alright! In that case, I'll do it," said Krillin with determination and feeling more confident.

_ Then the referee called Krillin and the Monk by their respective numbers.

_ "You've got this, Krillin!" said Gine with a smile.

_ "Come on, Krillin, defeat that arrogant guy!" said Goku with a smile.

Then Krillin and the monk who had been bothering him stepped onto the Combat Platform. The monk was confident that he could easily defeat Krillin, but he didn't anticipate that Krillin had greatly strengthened during the months he trained with Master Roshi. Krillin felt a bit nervous when facing the abusive monk but took a deep breath, recalling the words of encouragement from Goku and Gine, gaining confidence as he took his fighting stance. As soon as the referee gave the signal to start the match, the monk lunged at Krillin to punch him, but Krillin dodged with a great leap and then delivered a flying kick to the monk, sending him flying through the wall at high speed. Bulma, Suno, Oolong, and Puar were walking and eating their ice creams when the monk flew past them at high speed, causing their ice creams to fall to the ground and crash into a wall. Fortunately, the monk was still alive. Meanwhile, at the venue where the preliminaries were taking place, everyone was perplexed and horrified by how Krillin won his match, wondering how a kid could have such strength.

_ "Well done, Krillin, that's the way! See? What did I tell you?" said Gine, happy and excited about Krillin's victory, then she hugged Krillin, making the little monk blush and laugh, feeling somewhat embarrassed.

_ "Great job, Krillin! I knew you could do it," said Goku, happy for his friend.

_ "Goku, Gine, thank you very much. You were right when you said I could beat that bully. I don't know what I was thinking when I wanted to give up," Krillin said with a smile.

Meanwhile, Yamcha was winning all his fights, and Bulma was cheering him on enthusiastically. Little Suno did the same every time she watched Goku fight, while Gine easily defeated each opponent with a light hit on the neck, causing them to fall unconscious. Gine effortlessly won all her matches, to the amazement of all the other participants.

_ Gine sighed and thought to herself: "Hmm... None of these fighters are rivals, not even for Goku and Krillin, let alone for me."

_ "Wow, Gine is really impressive too," Oolong said.

_ "Incredible! Goku's mom is really strong," Suno said, amazed.

Meanwhile, Yamcha, seeing the constant victories of the 3 students of Master Roshi, said, "Wow, with Goku, Gine, and Krillin, this won't be easy."

In the end, Goku, Gine, Krillin, and Yamcha were among the final 8, and the 4 of them came out feeling happy for their great achievement, being greeted outside by Bulma, Suno, Oolong, and Puar.

_ "Well done, Goku! You're amazing!" said little Suno, feeling excited.

_ "Suno? What a joy to see you! But what are you doing here?" asked Goku, looking confused.

_ "I felt interested in watching your fights and managed to watch them with your friends to see if you were as strong as you claimed to be, and I realized it's true," said little Suno, feeling happy and a bit blush.

_ Then Bulma whispered to Goku with a mischievous smile, "Hey Goku, it seems you have a little admirer."

_ "What's an admirer?" asked Goku, looking confused.

_ "Well, let's just say I felt interested in watching Goku fight and see how strong he is, hehe," said Suno with a smile, feeling somewhat blush and scratching the back of her head.

_ "Goku, I heard that you saved this girl from some bullies. You truly are a gentleman," said Bulma with a mischievous smile.

_ "It seems little Goku is growing up, Gine," said Yamcha with a smile, while little Suno blushed at the comments from Goku's friends.

_ "Hey, what are you talking about?" asked Goku.

_ "Hey Goku, if you want, I can give you some good advice on how to impress women," said Oolong.

_ "Huh? Impress women? What do you mean, Oolong?" asked Goku, looking even more confused.

_ "Don't even dream about it! And stop with your comments that are making little Suno uncomfortable," said Gine, looking serious.

_ "Don't worry, ma'am... Well, I should go now as my parents must be worried," said Suno, feeling a bit embarrassed and blush.

_ "Go ahead. It was a pleasure to meet you, Suno," said Gine.

_ "See you later, Goku, see you tomorrow," said Suno, feeling happy before going to find her parents.

_ "Well, Goku, it seems you're starting to have luck with the girls," said Krillin with a mischievous smile, nudging Goku slightly, while Goku just looked at his friend, confused.

_ "Has anyone seen Master Roshi?" asked Bulma.

_ "Here I am!" said Master Roshi.

Everyone had asked Master Roshi where he was, and he mentioned being lost, but he knew that his 3 disciples had managed to win the preliminaries and made it among the final 8. Later, Master Roshi tried to make advances towards Bulma, giving her a t-shirt and a keychain in exchange, and as expected, Bulma gave him a good punch.

Meanwhile, Suno reunited with her parents.

_ "Dad, mom," said Suno, feeling happy.

_ "Hello, daughter. Did you enjoy watching your friend's fights?" asked Sophia.

_ "That's right. Goku is truly strong. He and his mother made it among the final 8 of the Tournament. You should have seen it; I saw Goku take down guys much bigger and seemingly stronger than him," said Suno, feeling happy and excited.

_ "Really? Wow, it wasn't a joke when his mother said that she and her son had been well trained," commented Alexander, looking amazed.

_ "Can I go to the tournament tomorrow to see Goku?" asked Suno.

_ "I don't see why not, but be very careful and don't get into trouble," replied Alexander.

_ "Daughter, I see that you have felt particularly drawn to that boy named Goku," said Sophia to her daughter with a smile.

_ "Well, let's say I was amazed by his strength, courage, and kind heart," said Suno, feeling somewhat blush.

_ "Yes, he seems to be a kind-hearted boy, although I sense he's not a normal boy," said Sophia.

_ "I think the same, but that doesn't change the fact that he's a good kid, and I liked him just by meeting him," said Alexander.

_ "For me, all that matters is that Goku is just a kind-hearted boy, and I don't know why, but I feel he has something special," said Suno, feeling happy and teary-eyed, to which her parents agreed with her.

The next day, Goku, Gine, Krillin, and Yamcha went to the World Martial Arts Tournament Palace to participate in the finals of the Twenty-First World Martial Arts Tournament. They joined the other 4 participants: Bacterian, an immense fighter with a terrible smell due to never having bathed, Nam, a man dressed in oriental attire with a turban on his head, Ranfan, a beautiful woman with purple hair, and a mysterious old man with gray hair and beard dressed in a combat oriental suit named Jackie Chun, who curiously resembled Master Roshi. In conclusion, the 8 finalists were: Goku, Gine, Krillin, Yamcha, Bacterian, Nam, Ranfan, and Jackie Chun, and the match draw was as follows:

_ Krillin vs Bacterian

_ Jackie Chun vs Yamcha

_ Gine vs Ranfan

_ Goku vs Nam

There were television cameras broadcasting the Martial Arts Tournament to TVs and the Internet worldwide, with a huge screen above the stands showing the fight broadcasts. All the finalist participants stepped onto the platform to introduce themselves to the audience.

_ "It can't be! I got the stinky guy," lamented Krillin.

_ "Calm down, Krillin. You can beat him!" said Gine.

_ "That's right!" said Goku.

_ Suddenly, Goku heard a familiar voice shouting, "Hey, Goku!"

_ "Huh? Who's calling me?" asked Goku, looking confused. Then Goku looked into the crowd and saw his friend Suno, who was waving at him from the crowd along with Bulma, Oolong, and Puar, who were also greeting and cheering him on. "Hi Suno! Hi Bulma, Oolong, and Puar," shouted the little Saiyan.

_ "You can do it, Goku!" shouted little Suno, while the other friends of Goku returned the greeting and cheered him on.

Gine was happy to see her son having a friend cheering him on in the Tournament. Then the Martial Arts Announcer, a young man in formal attire with dark glasses, stepped onto the Combat Platform.

_ "The Announcer said, 'Attention! In one minute, the fight between the participants Krillin and Bacterian will begin, but first, we will have some important words from the director of this Tournament.'"

The Tournament Director was a humanoid blue dog who stepped onto the platform and, when he got the microphone, simply sneezed and then said that those were his words, causing all the spectators to comically fall with their legs up.

_ "Thank you for your words, Mr. Director. Now, our first fight will be between the participants Krillin versus Bacterian," said the Announcer.

_ "Let's go, Krillin, I know you can win," said Gine, encouraging the little monk.

_ "Come on, Krillin, you got this," said Goku, cheering on his friend.

Krillin nervously stepped onto the combat platform and found himself facing the smelly giant Bacterian, whose odor was so unpleasant that it made all the spectators cover their noses.

_ "Attention, the first fight will be between the participant Krillin and the 550-pound participant Bacterian, who has never bathed since birth," said the Announcer.

_ "Poor Krillin is going to suffocate with that horrible smell," commented Oolong from the spectator's stand.

_ "Yes, that guy really smells horrible," said Puar.

_ "Disgusting, poor kid. I don't understand how that mastodon can stand his own smell," commented Suno while covering her nose.

_ "The first of you to fall off the Combat Platform or become unconscious and not get up by the count of 10 or surrender will lose the fight," said the Announcer as Krillin and Bacterian assumed their fighting stances. Then, the Announcer told both participants, "Ready? Set? Let the fight begin!"

Then, the attendants rang the gong, signaling the start of the fight.

Krillin and Bacterian engaged in an intense battle where Bacterian used his foul breath and did other disgusting things that displeased the audience, causing Krillin some difficulties. However, Krillin delivered a flying kick to Bacterian, causing Bacterian to fall off the Combat Platform, thus qualifying for the semi-finals of the World Martial Arts Tournament. The audience applauded Krillin for his victory.

_ Bulma, with a smile, said, "It's great that Krillin managed to defeat that disgusting guy."

_ Goku congratulated his friend, saying, "I bet Master Roshi must be proud of you."

But then, both Goku, Gine, and Krillin looked around the crowd and noticed that Master Roshi was not present.

_ So, Goku approached Bulma, Oolong, and Puar and asked, "Hey, did any of you see Master Roshi?"

_ "Now that you mention it, we haven't seen him. He disappeared shortly before Krillin's fight began," said Bulma.

_ Goku went to where Gine was and said, "Mom, Bulma, and the others haven't seen Master Roshi either."

_ "Hmm, that's strange, and interestingly, that Jacki Chun guy looks a lot like Master Roshi," said Gine, in thought.

_ "It seems Master Roshi left," said Goku.

_ "He didn't even see me fight," said Krillin.

_ "But I caught a whiff of his scent," said Goku.

_ "Indeed, so did I," said Gine.

_ "When will we see Goku fight?" asked Suno.

_ "It will be in the last fight, Suno, so be patient," said Bulma with a smile to the red-haired girl.

_ "The next fight will be between the participants Yamcha and Jackie Chun," said the Announcer.

Then both Yamcha and Jackie Chun stepped onto the combat platform.

_ "I've never heard of this Jackie Chun. I wonder what mysteries he holds," thought Yamcha.

Yamcha took his fighting stance, but Jackie Chun remained calm, and as soon as the gong rang to start the fight, Yamcha began to attack Jackie Chun. To everyone's surprise, Jackie Chun easily dodged all his blows, astonishing not only Yamcha but all the spectators.

_ "You're strong, young man, but you won't be able to touch me," said Jackie Chun.

_ "Wow, that Jackie Chun is really fast," said Krillin, astonished.

_ "Indeed," said Goku, equally amazed.

As Gine observed Jackie Chun closely, she said to herself in her thoughts: "That voice and those physical traits... Hmmm, there's no doubt it's Master Roshi, but I wonder why he entered the Martial Arts Tournament using another identity. Well, I'll pretend I didn't notice anything, as this must be part of the training that Master Roshi wants to give the kids."

Then, Jackie Chun produced a burst of air with his hand, easily knocking Yamcha off the combat platform, granting Jackie Chun the victory. He would advance to the semifinals where he would face Krillin.

_ "It can't be! Yamcha lost!" said Bulma, lamenting.

_ "Oh no, Yamcha," said Puar, feeling sad.

_ "I can't believe it... I've lost," said Yamcha, astonished.

Jackie Chun approached Yamcha and said, "You fought well, young man. You have a lot of potential." Yamcha thanked the words of the old Jackie Chun, but he started to suspect that Jackie Chun was actually Master Roshi.

_ "The next fight will be between the participants Gine and Ranfan," said the Announcer.

_ Ranfan, feeling upset, said, "Darn it! Why do I have to face a female opponent? Well, I don't care if my rival is another woman; I will defeat her no matter what."

_ "Alright, it's my turn," said Gine, feeling excited.

_ "Show them what you're made of, mom," said Goku, excited.

_ "Let's go, Gine! You got this!" said Krillin.

Meanwhile, in the stands, Suno, Bulma, Oolong, and Puar were eager to watch Goku's mother fight. "Wow, Goku's mom is going to fight; this is going to be exciting," said Suno.

Both Gine and Ranfan stepped onto the combat platform, assumed their fighting stances, and as soon as the gong sounded, both women engaged in combat. Gine moved at such a speed that she couldn't be seen by anyone and knocked out Ranfan with a single blow, astonishing the spectators. The Announcer made sure that Gine hadn't killed Ranfan and counted to 10 for Ranfan to get up, but Ranfan didn't get up, and Gine won the fight, advancing to the semifinals where she would face the winner of the match between Goku and Nam.

_ "Amazing, Goku's mom won her fight in the blink of an eye," said Suno, astonished.

_ "Gine is truly amazing; I wouldn't be surprised if she wins the tournament," remarked Bulma.

_ "It seems so," said Oolong, amazed.

_ "The next and final match of the quarter-finals will be between the participants Goku and Nam!" announced the Announcer.

_ "Finally, we'll see Goku fight!" said Suno, excited.

_ "So excited to see Goku, huh?" said Bulma with a mischievous smile, making the little red-haired girl blush.

Meanwhile, Jackie Chun noticed that Nam was serious and thoughtful for his fight because Nam wanted to win the Tournament money to help his village suffering from a severe drought.

_ "Let's go, Goku! This is your moment," said Gine.

Krilin, Yamcha, Bulma, Suno, Oolong, and Puar were also cheering for Goku.

_ "Let's go, Goku!" shouted little Suno.

Then both Goku and Nam stepped onto the combat platform, assuming their battle poses, and as soon as the gong sounded, both Goku and Nam engaged in a fierce battle. Goku used an illusion technique to attack Nam, but it didn't work. Goku then started spinning rapidly to knock Nam off the platform, almost succeeding but ending up dizzy. Nam made a huge leap several meters into the air and launched himself at Goku to deliver his aerial blow.

_ "Watch out, Goku!" shouted Gine, worried about her son.

_ "Goku, react!" shouted Suno, but seeing her friend not reacting, the little red-haired girl covered her eyes so as not to see what was about to happen.

And Nam ended up delivering a strong blow to Goku's neck.

_ "I doubt he'll get back up after that blow," said Jackie Chun.

_ "Assassin! He killed him!" cried Suno, on the verge of tears.

_ "I only rendered him unconscious, and he'll be like that for 10 days. Start counting, referee," said Nam.

_ "It seems Goku lost..." said Krillin, feeling sad for his friend.

_ "I wouldn't be so sure about that, Krillin," said Gine.

_ The Announcer began counting to 10, and just as he reached the number 9, Goku woke up and reacted in time, astonishing everyone.

_ "Ouch, that hurts!" said Goku as he rubbed his neck.

_ "It can't be, he wasn't supposed to get up after that blow," said Nam, astonished.

_ Jackie Chun thought to himself, "I see that Goku has superhuman strength and endurance, and Gine must be even more powerful."

_ "This is amazing, ladies and gentlemen. Participant Goku stood up right at the final moment," said the Announcer.

_ "That's my son!" said Gine, proud of her son.

_ "Let's go, Goku, you can do it!" shouted Krillin.

_ "Well done, Goku, you're fascinating!" shouted Suno, excited, while Bulma, Oolong, Yamcha, and Puar were also excited, cheering on Goku.

_ "Don't think you'll defeat me; I'll attack you again with my blow," said Nam, furious.

But then something caught everyone's attention. Goku's tail grew back.

_ "Great! My tail grew back!" said Goku, feeling happy and excited.

_ Gine was somewhat worried and in her mind, she said, "I don't know if this is good or bad. I hope my son doesn't cause trouble because of his tail."

_ "Why did Goku's tail grow back? And now that I notice it, his mother also has a tail. Hmm, could it be that Goku and his mom are not human?" wondered Suno, somewhat astonished.

_ "What? How is it possible that your tail grew back? No matter, now I'll defeat you," said Nam, annoyed and serious.

Then Nam made another immense leap through the clouds to launch his aerial attack again at Goku, but Goku also jumped up to Nam's height, astonishing the spectators. Goku and Nam began fighting in the air practically.

_ "Incredible! Goku is flying," said Suno, astonished.

Then, as Goku and Nam were close to reaching the ground, Goku kicked Nam, knocking him out of the combat platform.

_ "The winner of the match is Son Goku, who will advance to the semifinals! Therefore, the matchups for the semifinals are as follows:

_ Krilin versus Jackie Chun

_ Son Goku versus Son Gine

Only one of these participants will take the championship and the juicy prize of half a million Zeni."

_ "Well done, Goku!" said Gine as she hugged her son.

_ "That's the way, Goku!" said Krillin, feeling happy and excited.

_ Meanwhile, in the stands, Bulma said, "Goku is truly fantastic."

_ "It's clear that old Roshi trained him well," said Oolong.

_ "I'm sure Goku will win the championship," said Suno, feeling happy and blushing.

Meanwhile, outside the Tournament venue, Nam was leaving, feeling sad and devastated for feeling he had let his village down. Jackie Chun approached him and gave him a capsule with water for his village, instructing him to take the necessary water from the well, which made Nam feel grateful. However, in a revealing conversation between Nam and Jackie Chun, Jackie Chun revealed to Nam that he was, in fact, Master Roshi.

_ "I can't believe it, so you are the great Master Roshi," said Nam, astonished.

_ "Keep it quiet; I don't want anyone to know," said Jackie Chun.

_ "But I don't understand, why did you disguise yourself to participate in the Tournament?" asked Nam, amazed.

_ "Well, you see, three of my disciples are participating in this tournament, including two children who are immature and inexperienced. What I don't want is for them to win the tournament because if they do, those kids will become overconfident and think they have reached the peak, no longer needing to train to reach their full potential. I'm doing this mainly for Goku because even though Goku is just a kid, I can see that he has unimaginable potential, just like his mother, Gine. They are the most potential students I've ever seen, and what I want is for them to keep training so they can become great Martial Arts Masters," said Jackie Chun.

_ "I understand, and I think it's a good plan. Well, I have to go now, Master Roshi, and thank you very much for the water," said Nam.

And so, Master Roshi and Nam bid farewell.

_ Jackie Chun felt someone was spying on him and said, "I know you're there, Gine, you can come out now."

_ Gine jumped down from the roof of the World Martial Arts Tournament Palace and said to Jackie Chun, "I see you were able to sense my presence, Master Roshi."

_ Jackie Chun told the young Saiyan Mother, "You may be stronger than me, Gine, but when it comes to martial arts disciplines, I have much more experience than you. Gine, I need you to keep my identity a secret and not tell anyone. What I'm doing is for the well-being of Goku and Krillin."

_ Gine nodded with a smile and said, "Don't worry, Master Roshi, I promise to keep your secret safe."

Shortly after, it was lunchtime, and Suno witnessed Goku's and Gine's voracious appetites. While Suno thought Goku was a big eater, she also found his eating manner endearing. Later, Suno approached Goku.

_ "Hey, Goku, here, I made these cookies for you. It's a token of my gratitude for helping me against those bullies," said Suno, happy and blushing, as she gave Goku a small pink bag of chocolate chip cookies.

_ "For me? Wow, Suno! You didn't have to bother. Thank you so much! They're delicious. Do you mind if I share them with my mom?" said Goku with a smile.

_ "Not at all," said Suno, happy.

Then Goku shared the cookies Suno gave him with his mom, and Gine, being a lover of sweets, was happy to eat the cookies Suno made for her son.

_ "Thank you so much, Suno, for that kind gesture toward my son. You're truly a very kind and charming girl," said Gine with a smile.

_ "You're welcome, ma'am. It's the least I could do for Goku after he helped me against those abusive kids," said Suno, happy and blushing.

_ Gine, with a smile, said to Suno, "By the way, your cookies are really delicious. Thank you."

_ "You're welcome, Gine. Goku is a good kid and someone very special, and I made them with him in mind," said Suno, happy and blushing.

_ Gine asked, "Hey, Suno, one question, where are your parents?"

_ "My parents are working, selling sweets. My parents and I are from a village called Jingle Village, which is far north of here, and we've come here to Papaya Island for vacation and to sell a lot of sweets, taking advantage of the crowd coming to the Martial Arts Tournament," replied little Suno.

_ Gine, with a smile, said, "I'm glad to hear that, but do they know you're here?"

_ Suno nodded, saying, "Yes, Gine, don't worry."

Meanwhile, at a nearby table, Krillin, Bulma, Yamcha, Oolong, and Puar watched the heartwarming scene happily.

_ "Wow! Looks like Goku has found a cute admirer," said Bulma with a smile.

_ "Lucky guy, I wonder what that cute girl sees in Goku," said Krillin, frowning.

_ "Goku is just a kid and already attracting admirers. If he keeps this up, when he grows up, he'll surely have lots of girls running after him. Gine better watch out for her son," said Yamcha.

_ "I doubt it. With that hairstyle, I don't think he'll catch the attention of many girls," said Bulma.

_ "Careful, Bulma, you might end up eating your words in the future. Goku can easily change his appearance in a few years," Oolong replied.

_ "Do you think so? I doubt it," said Bulma as she sipped on a soda.

_ Gine noticed that little Suno seemed to have an interest beyond simple friendship in her son, but she chose not to say anything to avoid making the girl uncomfortable. However, in her mind, she began to think: "I don't know why, but I'm starting to think that maybe this girl and my son will be destined to be together in the future... Although I think it's too early to assume that since they are still children and have a long way to go, but I feel that this girl has something special and I believe she will be a great blessing for my son. Hopefully, she will only know the innocent and sweet side of my son, but unfortunately, she hasn't seen my son manifest his Saiyan nature when he looks at the full moon because it's easy to fall in love or be attracted to a person when you know their good side. But I wonder if this girl named Suno will still have the same concept she has now of my son if she ever sees him transform into an Oozaru. For her and my son's sake, I hope it doesn't happen."

_ "Huh? Gine, are you okay?" Suno asked, seeing Gine deep in thought.

_ "Mom, are you okay?" asked Goku, somewhat confused.

_ "Huh? Yes, I'm fine, sorry, I was thinking about something else," said Gine with a slightly nervous smile.

_ The Announcer said, "Attention, everyone! The match between Krillin and Jackie Chun is about to begin, but first, we want the participants Goku, Gine, Krillin, and Jackie Chun to step onto the combat platform."

_ "Well, Goku, better not get distracted. By the way, do you plan to fight against your own mom?" Suno asked, somewhat surprised that Goku had to fight Gine in the semifinals.

_ "My mom and I always train in martial arts," said Goku.

_ "Besides, this is a martial arts tournament, Suno, and Goku has the duty to be stronger than me. The moment Goku and I are on the Combat Platform, we won't be mother and son but two fighters, and that's something both Goku and I must be clear about," said Gine with a smile.

_ "I understand," said Suno.

_ "Well, Goku, we should go," said Gine.

_ "Yes, mom! See you, Suno!" said Goku.

_ "See you, Goku! Good luck in the tournament and give it your best!" said Suno with a smile and raising her fist.

_ "I will," said Goku, with a determined smile.

Afterwards, the Announcer had Goku, Gine, and Krillin step onto the combat platform for an interview.

_ "Before starting the next match, we want to interview our semifinalists, and I'd like to begin with the participants Goku and Krillin, who are the youngest participants in this Tournament. Let's see, kids, could you tell the audience your ages?" said the Announcer.

_ "I'm 13 years old," said Krillin.

_ Then, as Goku saw the Announcer approaching him with the microphone, Goku asked, "What's this? Is it a gift?"

_ "Don't be ridiculous, Goku," said Krillin, annoyed.

_ "No, sweetheart, it's a microphone, a device used to amplify the voice for the audience who isn't watching," Gine told her son as the audience chuckled.

_ "Wow, Goku is such a weird kid, although that doesn't take away from the fact that he's cute and sweet," commented Suno.

_ "I'm 12 years old," said Goku as he counted his fingers to calculate his age.

_ "Ah! So Goku is a year older than me," said Suno with a smile.

_ "He's only 12 years old, no wonder he's so small, not to mention Goku has horrible hair," said Bulma.

_ "Hey! Don't speak of Goku like that, Goku's hair is very nice," retorted Suno, upset, to which Bulma only responded with a nervous smile, seeing the red-haired girl upset.

_ "How can you be 12 years old if you're taller than me?" asked Krillin.

_ "Well, believe it or not, that's how it is, and not only am I taller, but I also have hair," said Goku as he patted Krillin's bald head.

_ "Hahaha, what charming kids. Now let's meet the participant Gine," said the Announcer.

_ Gine, somewhat nervous about speaking in public, said, "Um... Hello, my name is Son Gine, and I am Goku's mother."

_ "Amazing! You're Goku's participant, mother? But with how young you look, I would say you rather seem like Goku's older sister," said the Announcer, astonished.

_ "Haha, let's say I'm older than my appearance suggests," said Gine, feeling a bit blush and embarrassed.

_ "I see, and by the way, could you tell us if both your and your son's tails are real?" asked the Announcer.

_ "Um... Yes, they are," said Gine while she and her son wagged their tails, leaving the spectators amazed.

_ "I understand, and tell me, why do you, your son, and participant Krillin wear the same uniform? Are you from a specific school?" asked the Announcer.

_ "We're not from a school; we're disciples of Master Roshi," said Gine.

_ "What?! The great Master Roshi? The Martial Arts grand champion?" asked the astonished Announcer, while the audience was equally amazed, and people whispered to each other, "No wonder they're so strong."

_ "This is incredible, ladies and gentlemen. Both participants Goku, Gine, and Krillin are disciples of the Great Master Roshi, and they have shown their great combat skills. They are truly a special case," said the Announcer.

_ "Wow, so Goku and his mom had a great master who trained them in Martial Arts. It's fascinating!" said Suno, astonished.

Meanwhile, Yamcha confronted Jackie Chun, accusing him of being Master Roshi in a wig, and attempted to remove it, but Jackie Chun easily dodged him.

_ The Announcer said, "Well, I think that would be all. Now let's start the first semifinal match."

_ Then Jackie Chun stepped onto the platform and said to the Announcer, "Wait a moment! Aren't you going to interview me?"

_ "Uh, well..." said the Announcer.

_ "Let me!" exclaimed Jackie Chun as he took the microphone and then with a big smile shouted, "Hello! I am Jackie Chun!" causing the Announcer to comically fall to the ground with his legs up. Then Jackie Chun began to sing and dance comically to the astonishment of the spectators, and Goku and Gine joined Jackie Chun. The Saiyan mother and her son danced and sang comically, being joyful with Jackie Chun. In the end, all the spectators watched in awe, except for Suno, who commented, saying, "Wow, Goku and his mom are so funny and charming."

_ "Let the match between Krillin and Jackie Chun begin!" said the Announcer, followed by the gong.

Both Krillin and Jackie Chun engaged in a fierce battle with swift movements. Krillin knew that Jackie Chun had a weakness for women after seeing how he blushed for Lan-Fan, so Krillin pulled out some panties he kept in his shirt and threw them at Jackie Chun's face, making him blush. Jackie Chun then got distracted holding the panties Krillin threw at him, which Krillin took advantage of to deliver a flying kick that sent Jackie Chun flying several meters off the combat platform.

_ Gine, with wide eyes, saw those panties that Jackie Chun held in his hands, shocked and perplexed, she said, "Those... Those... Are those... mine?" Indeed, Gine recognized that the panties Krillin threw at Jackie Chun were hers.

But to Krillin's surprise and everyone in general, Jackie Chun unleashed a powerful Kamehameha, which allowed him to return to the Combat Platform.

_ "What? It's not possible!" said Krillin, scared.

Meanwhile, Gine, furious, shouted at Goku, "Did you give Krillin my panties?!"

_ "No! Of course not, Mom. Krillin grabbed them from your bag even though I told him not to. I swear!" said Goku, nervously. Gine then shot a fierce look at the little monk, and Goku, scared, said to his friend, "Hey, Krillin! I think you're in trouble!"

Krillin trembled in fear seeing the furious Saiyan mother glaring at him, veins bulging in her face due to the anger from his daring act. Now Krillin didn't know what was worse: losing the match or facing the worst scolding of his life. Krillin decided to continue the fight and deal with the consequences later. He attacked Jackie Chun, who dodged at a speed no one could see, then Jackie Chun landed a blow to Krillin's neck, knocking him out, causing both Goku and Gine to worry about Krillin. The Announcer counted to 10, but Krillin didn't respond and ended up losing the match, allowing Jackie Chun to advance to the final. Krillin was carried off the platform by paramedics and taken to the infirmary. Gine's concern for Krillin was so great that she forgot her anger.

_ Shortly after, Gine saw Jackie Chun happily holding her panties with a perverted look on his face. Furious and blushing, Gine grabbed a chair to hit Jackie Chun, leaving him unconscious with a big bruise on his head. Then Gine took back her panties, saying, "Old pervert!"

The Announcer announced a half-hour break before the start of the next match. After the fight, Yamcha once again accused Jackie Chun of being Master Roshi and then tried to pull Jackie Chun's hair, believing it was a wig, but he couldn't remove it. Jackie Chun insisted on telling Yamcha that he was not Master Roshi. After the break, the Announcer called Goku and Gine for their match. Gine stepped onto the combat platform, ready to start the fight against her son, but she noticed her son was nowhere to be found.

_ "Huh? Where could Goku be?" wondered Gine.

_ "What's going on? Why isn't Goku showing up?" asked Suno.

_ "I don't know," said Bulma.

_ "Gine, you stay here, and we'll look for Goku," said Yamcha.

Then Bulma, Yamcha, Suno, Oolong, and Puar started searching everywhere for Goku, and Suno found him sleeping under a tree.

_ "I found Goku!" shouted Suno. She then tried to wake up Goku, saying, "Wake up, Goku! You have to go to your match." The rest of Goku's friends arrived and comically fell over seeing him asleep.

_ "Mom, give me 5 more minutes, then I'll wake up," said Goku while still sleeping.

_ Suno got annoyed and yelled in Goku's ear, "Wake up!"

_ Startled by Suno's scream, Goku woke up and asked, "Hey Suno, why are you shouting like that?"

_ "I did it to wake you up and go to your match; your mom is waiting for you!" scolded Suno to the little Saiyan boy.

_ "Oh right, my match! Thanks for letting me know, Suno," said Goku, alarmed.

_ "You're welcome, now go," said Suno.

Then the Announcer came running, grabbed Goku's hand, and quickly led him to the Combat Platform where Gine was waiting for him.

_ "Goodness! I'm glad I woke up in time to see Goku and Gine's fight," said Krillin, running to watch the battle between the two Saiyans.

_ "Goku, where were you? I was afraid they would disqualify you," said Gine, somewhat annoyed.

_ "Sorry, Mom, I got sleepy and dozed off hehe," said Goku, causing Gine to comically fall with her legs up.

_ "Oh, Goku. Well, the important thing is that you're here now. Are you ready, Goku?" said Gine, getting into her fighting stance.

_ "I am," said Goku, also getting into his fighting stance.

_ "I can't believe Goku has to face his mom," said Bulma, astonished.

_ "I just hope Goku and his mom don't get hurt in this fight," said Suno, worried.

_ "Alright, are you ready?! Let the match begin!" said the Announcer, and then the gong sounded.

Goku then lunged at Gine with a burst of punches, which were easily dodged by Gine. Gine grabbed Goku, holding one of his fists.

_ "Goku, your movements are good but predictable, you'll need to do better if you want to beat me," said Gine before kicking Goku, but Goku reacted and landed on his hands at the edge of the combat platform.

_ "Goodness! There's no doubt Gine is going to fight seriously," said Oolong, astonished.

_ "Goku seems to have a tough challenge ahead," said Puar.

Then Goku started running quickly around the combat platform at a speed practically no one could see.

_ "Goku sure runs really fast," said Suno, amazed.

Gine looked around, alert for any attack from her son. Goku quickly managed to knock Gine down with a kick to her feet from behind. Just when Goku thought he could land a decisive blow on Gine that would send her off the platform, Gine reacted in time and hit Goku, sending him to the edge of the platform. However, Goku reacted in time and then jumped, rising several meters up as he did in his fight against Nam. Gine also made a big leap, and both Saiyans engaged in a fierce exchange of blows at a speed the human eye couldn't follow, several meters above the ground.

_ "This is amazing, ladies and gentlemen. Participant Goku and participant Gine are practically fighting in the air; it's as if they're flying. What's more astonishing is that so far, no one can see them," said the Announcer.

_ "It's incredible! I can only hear the sounds of blows, but I can't see anything," said Bulma.

_ "This is astonishing," said Suno.

Then Goku and Gine landed on the combat platform, and the impact of their blows was heard by all the Martial Arts Tournament spectators, but no one could see Goku and Gine's movements. Although at times Goku and Gine became visible during their exchange of blows. The impact of their blows was so strong that it generated powerful bursts of air, making the spectators' hats fly off. Goku and Gine separated, each ending up at opposite ends of the combat platform.

_ "Tired, Goku?" said Gine with a smile.

_ "Not at all, Mom," replied Goku.

Then Goku and Gine exchanged serious looks and each began to clasp their hands together, starting to say, "Kame... hame... ha!" Huge energy blasts emanated from Goku and Gine's hands, colliding with each other, creating an immense light that reflected before the astonished spectators.

_ "This is incredible, both Goku and Gine are using the Kamehameha technique used by the great Master Roshi," said the Announcer, excited.

_ "Amazing... Goku and his mom are truly powerful," said Suno, astonished yet thrilled.

_ "Goku and Gine have amazing powers," said Bulma, amazed.

_ "At this rate, it's hard to imagine who will be the winner," said Oolong.

Meanwhile, Jackie Chun, who was actually Master Roshi, watched with pride and astonishment at how powerful his disciples Goku and Gine had become. The Kamehamehas from Goku and Gine were intensifying to the point where a massive explosion occurred on the combat platform, engulfing the area in smoke. Gine covered her eyes from the explosion and let her guard down for a moment, which Goku took advantage of to speed towards Gine. He generated a strong gust of air that sent Gine off the combat platform. As the smoke cleared, everyone could see that Gine had fallen off the platform, while Goku stood at the edge, looking at Gine, happy to have defeated her.

_ "The winner is participant Son Goku, and he will face Jacki Chun in the Grand Final of the 21st World Martial Arts Tournament," said the Announcer.

_ Gine was amazed watching her son after realizing she had been thrown off the platform due to her carelessness. In her thoughts, Gine said to herself, "Incredible... I lost to Goku due to my carelessness. If I hadn't been so careless, I could have easily defeated Goku. It's good that Bardock wasn't here to see this, but I won't make excuses. As a mother, I have to set a good example for Goku by acknowledging my defeat and congratulating him on his victory." Then Gine smiled, stood up, and went to the combat platform to hug her son, saying, "Well done, Goku, congratulations on your victory. I'm proud of you; you've become very strong."

_ "Incredible! Goku won!" said Bulma, astonished.

_ "It was an incredible and out-of-this-world fight," said Oolong.

_ "Well done, Goku! You did it!" shouted Suno, happy and excited to see Goku win.

_ "That's the way, Goku!" said Yamcha.

Then Goku and Gine descended from the combat platform to take a short break before the final began, and their friends went to congratulate them for the intense fight they had.

_ "Congratulations, Goku and Gine. Your fight was extraordinary and is trending worldwide on social media for the powers you displayed," said Bulma, showing her smartphone.

Meanwhile, the massive screen above the stands was showing replays of the fight between Goku and Gine.

_ "You were great, Goku," said Yamcha.

_ "Goku, you're amazing and impressive!" said Suno, excited.

_ "Well done, Goku!" said Krillin.

_ "Hehe, thank you, although I still have a long way to go to reach my mom's level since I simply won due to her carelessness, which I took advantage of to throw her off the platform," said Goku with a nervous smile, scratching the back of his head.

_ "That's true, son, but I must say you've improved a lot, and you've become very strong. If you keep up with your training and give your best, there's no doubt you'll become stronger and more powerful than me," encouraged Gine her son.

_ Then Jacki Chun approached and said, "Well done, Goku, I must say your fight really impressed me, and the same must be said of you, young Gine."

_ "Thank you very much, Jacki Chun," said Gine.

_ "Hehe, thanks, now it's my turn to fight against you," said Goku.

_ "That's right, may the best one win," said Jacki Chun before leaving.

_ "Goku, now we're all going to cheer you on, give your best and win the tournament," said Yamcha.

_ "Let's go, Goku! You can do it!" said Gine.

_ "Come on, Goku! I know you can win," said Suno.

_ "Friends..." said Goku as he looked happily at his mother, Suno, Bulma, Yamcha, Krillin, Oolong, and Puar, all cheering him on. Then Goku said with a big smile to his friends, "I'll give my best in the tournament."

Afterwards, Goku and Jackie Chun stepped onto the combat platform, which was slightly damaged after the intense fight between Goku and Gine.

_ Then the Announcer said, "Alright, are you ready? Let the match begin!" followed by the sound of the gong.

Goku and Jackie Chun engaged in an intense battle that lasted for hours until sunset.

_ "Go, Goku! You can do it!" shouted Suno.

_ "Come on, Goku!" said Bulma.

_ "Let's go, dear! Give it your all like you did in our fight," said Gine.

_ "It seems I'll have to resort to the same technique I used years ago to defeat Son Gohan," said Jackie Chun.

Then Jackie Chun unleashed an energy beam against Goku, paralyzing him.

_ "Give up, Goku," said Jackie Chun.

_ "I don't want to!" said the young Goku, paralyzed with pain from Jackie Chun's technique.

_ "Oh no! Goku!" exclaimed Bulma.

_ "Goku, surrender, you won't be able to withstand that technique," shouted Yamcha.

_ "Goku, don't continue, you don't have the strength and power yet to face a technique like that," shouted Gine, worried about her son.

_ "I won't! I will never give up!" yelled Goku.

_ Worried, Suno shouted to Goku, "Goku, please stop, your life is worth more than this tournament!"

_ "Surrender, Goku!" shouted Yamcha.

Both Oolong and Puar also urged Goku to surrender.

_ "Listen to your friends, boy, not even Son Gohan could withstand this powerful technique," said Jackie Chun.

Gine was about to intervene to prevent Jackie Chun from killing her son when something unexpected happened. The full Moon appeared in the sky, and as expected, to the astonishment of the spectators, Goku began to transform into an Oozaru to break free from Jackie Chun's technique. He then started destroying the World Martial Arts Tournament Palace.

_ "AAAAAHHHH! It can't be, my special technique," said Jackie Chun, frightened.

_ "This is incredible, ladies and gentlemen. Participant Goku has transformed into a fearsome beast. What kind of technique is he using?" said the Announcer.

_ "That's not a technique," said Oolong, scared.

_ "This is the worst thing that could have happened," said Bulma, scared.

_ "Oh, how scary! I better leave," said Puar.

_ "What happened to Goku? Why did he transform into that terrifying gigantic beast?" asked Suno, perplexed and scared.

_ "Goku always transforms into that gigantic beast whenever he sees the full moon," said Yamcha.

_ "Hey, Goku, stop! Your technique is scaring everyone!" said Krillin.

_ "You all run away! I'll stop my son," said Gine.

_ "No, Gine, it's already bad enough having a giant ape; things will get worse if you also end up transforming like last time," said Bulma.

Then, upon hearing from Yamcha that Goku transformed into that beast because of the full moon, Jackie Chun took off his shirt, increased his muscles, and began preparing a powerful Kamehameha.

_ "Oh no! Jackie Chun seems to be attacking Goku," said Yamcha.

_ "What?" said Gine.

_ "Yes, that Kamehameha Jackie Chun is preparing, if it hits Goku, it will kill him," said Yamcha, alarmed.

_ "Oh no, Goku!" said Suno, worried.

_ "I won't allow it!" said Gine, about to stop Jackie Chun.

But before Gine could do anything, Jackie Chun managed to unleash his powerful Kamehameha, which destroyed the Moon, causing a bright flash of light that made everyone shield their eyes. When they all opened their eyes, they saw that Goku was no longer there.

_ "Goku... No..." said Bulma.

_ "Where is Goku?" asked Suno, worried.

_ "He... is..." said Bulma, crying.

_ "No... Please... Tell me it's not true... Goku can't be dead!" said Suno, crying.

_ "You monster, you had no reason to kill Goku!" cried Krillin.

_ "The champion is Jackie Chun!" said the Announcer.

_ "He's not a champion! He's a cold-blooded killer!" shouted Suno with anger and tears in her eyes.

Oolong and Puar also began to cry. Bulma started crying on Yamcha's shoulder, while Suno began crying, hugging Gine's legs. Gine was in shock and felt like the world was crashing down on her, believing she had lost her only remaining son. First, she lost her husband Bardock, then she lost her son Raditz. And now, had she also lost Goku? Suno, Bulma, Krillin, Yamcha, Oolong, and Puar started shouting all kinds of insults at Jackie Chun with anger and tears in their eyes for the apparent death of their friend. Suddenly, a great rage began to consume Gine, and she went towards where Jackie Chun was, with a desire for revenge for what he did to Goku.

_ But before Gine could do anything, Jackie Chun said to Gine, "Before you do something rash, I suggest you look over there," said Jackie Chun in a serious and calm tone, pointing towards some debris.

_ Gine looked towards the debris and saw a tail sticking out from those ruins. The debris suddenly moved, revealing Goku lying unconscious and naked on the combat platform.

_ "Goku is alive!" shouted Suno, happy with tears that were now of joy. But upon seeing Goku naked, she blushed and covered her face.

Bulma, Krillin, Yamcha, Oolong, and Puar shouted with joy when they saw that Goku was alive. Gine ran to her son, feeling great relief to see him breathing, and she carried him away.

_ "I don't understand. If Jackie Chun's Kamehameha wasn't for Goku, then what was it for?" asked Yamcha.

_ "It's simple, without the Moon, Goku will never be able to transform again," said Jackie Chun, pointing towards the sky. To everyone's surprise, they saw that the Moon was no longer there. Jackie Chun had used his Kamehameha to destroy the Moon.

_ "It can't be! He destroyed the Moon! Now there won't be dinners and dances under the Full Moon," said the Announcer, annoyed.

_ "Shut up! And start counting to 10," replied Jackie Chun, looking serious.

The Announcer counted to 10, and Goku officially lost the final, with Jackie Chun declared the winner of the 21st World Martial Arts Tournament. Shortly after, Goku woke up in Gine's arms.

_ "Huh? Mom? What happened? Did the fight end?" asked Goku, confused.

_ Gine looked sadly at her son and said, "Unfortunately, yes..."

_ "What? Did I lose?" asked Goku, astonished, to which Gine nodded sadly.

Then some enraged and prejudiced people in the crowd started throwing objects at Goku and Gine, saying, "Get away, monster! Look at the destruction you caused! You almost killed us all!"

_ "Please, stop! My son is not to blame! The fault is mine!" said Gine, protecting her son from the objects thrown by those people in the crowd.

_ "Mom, what's wrong with these people? Why are they saying those things to me?" asked Goku, nervous. Then Goku saw on the giant screen above the tournament stands something that shook him. He saw the moment he transformed into an Oozaru and lost control, destroying the World Martial Arts Tournament Palace. Goku, scared and shaken by what he was seeing on the giant screen, said with tears in his eyes, "Mom... That monster... Is it me? Did I do this? I mean, am I that monster?"

_ Seeing that her son saw the images being shown on those screens, which were being broadcasted on TVs worldwide and the Internet, Gine shuddered and told her son, "Goku, I just want you to know that none of this was your fault."

_ "So, the monster that mortally wounded my grandfather was... me?" said Goku, scared and with tears in his eyes.

_ "Goku, it wasn't your fault," said Gine.

Suno was sad and hurt to see Goku like that and being treated that way by the people in the crowd. So, Suno, Bulma, Yamcha, Krillin, Oolong, and Puar stepped onto the combat platform and formed a circle around Goku and Gine to protect them from the attacks of the hostile and prejudiced people in the crowd. There were divided opinions among the crowd regarding Goku, as many also rejected the aggression towards him because they were aware that he was not at fault for transforming into that beast. The Announcer spoke in defense of Goku and asked the people in the crowd who were harassing Goku and Gine to calm down.

Then, Jackie Chun took the microphone and, completely furious and indignant, said to those angry and prejudiced people, "Stop! All of you should be ashamed for attacking and harassing this poor boy and his mother. What happened wasn't his fault. I know both Goku and his mother, and I can attest that Goku is a good kid with a good heart. If you truly knew him, you wouldn't behave so despicably towards him."

The crowd members who rejected the aggression against Goku applauded Jackie Chun's words and began to cheer for Goku for the good performance he showed in the tournament.

_ The Announcer said, "I couldn't agree more with you, Jackie Chun."

Those who had attacked Goku and his mother hung their heads in shame and left.

With tears in her eyes, Gine thanked all her friends who protected her and her son and approached Jackie Chun to thank him for his words, while Goku felt sad and depressed by everything revealed. The 21st World Martial Arts Tournament had come to an end.

_ "Mrs. Gine, here, use this to cover Goku," said Suno, handing her a blanket from her backpack.

_ "Suno..." said Gine, moved by Suno's continued care and concern for her son, despite having seen him in his wild Saiyan state. Gine, with tears in her eyes, said to Suno, "You have no idea how grateful I am to you and for the kindness you are showing to my son."

_ "You're welcome, Mrs. Gine. Goku is a wonderful and kind-hearted boy, and I'm sure he's not to blame for transforming into that beast," said Suno with a smile.

After a few hours, everyone was in the hotel where they were staying. Goku was alone with Gine in a room. Gine was trying to console and cheer up her son, who was sad and depressed by everything that had happened, especially by discovering the bitter truth that he was the monster who fatally wounded his grandfather. Suddenly, someone knocked on the door, and Gine went to see who it was. To her surprise, it was Suno, who had come accompanied by her parents Alexander and Sofia to see how Goku was.

_ "Hello, Mrs. Gine, we came to see how Goku is," said Suno.

_ "We heard what happened at the Tournament, and believe me, we're sorry, and we're aware that your son wasn't to blame for what happened," said Alexander, Suno's father.

_ "We know Goku is a good kid from the way he helped our daughter, and we know he wouldn't be capable of hurting anyone," said Sofia, Suno's mother.

_ Gine smiled and said, "Thank you for coming, please come in."

Then, Suno, accompanied by her parents and Gine, entered the room and saw Goku, looking sad and lying on his back.

_ "Goku, someone special came to see you," Gine told her son.

_ Goku got up and saw Suno looking at him with a smile, along with her parents. "Suno? What are you doing here?" asked Goku, somewhat astonished.

_ "I came to see how you were," said Suno.

_ "I'm surprised that you and your parents are here since I thought you wouldn't want to see me again, considering the fact of me being a monster," said Goku, feeling sad.

_ "Nonsense! I don't think you're a monster, I know it from how you helped me against those abusive kids and the honorable way I saw you fight in the Tournament. Besides, Bulma told me that it wasn't the first time you transformed, but still, she and your other friends love and value you a lot because you're a good person who always helps others, and that says a lot about you," encouraged Suno.

_ "Exactly! We also don't think you're a monster," said Bulma as she entered the room with Krillin, Yamcha, Master Roshi, Oolong, and Puar.

_ "You're not a monster! You're a great guy and a noble warrior! Never forget that!" said Yamcha.

_ "That's right! Well said, Yamcha!" added Puar.

_ "You're our friend, Goku, and we all care about you!" said Oolong.

_ "You may be a bit silly and sometimes annoying, but you're not a monster, and I'm happy to be friends with you. It's been a joy to train with you and your mom for the last 8 months under Master Roshi's guidance," Krillin told his friend.

_ "Friends... But it turns out that my grandfather died because of me," said Goku as he began to cry.

_ Master Roshi put a hand on his disciple's shoulder and said, "Goku, believe me, if your grandfather Gohan had seen you fight in the Tournament as I did, he would undoubtedly be proud to have a young warrior like you, honorable and kind-hearted, as his grandson and to see how much you have progressed. I know because he was my best disciple so far, and the fact that you can ride the Flying Nimbus is another clear proof that you're a good person, not a monster."

_ "Did you see me fight, Master? But I never saw you at any moment," said Goku, confused.

_ "Of course, I saw your fight, and I was closer to you than you imagine," said Master Roshi with a smile towards his disciple.

_ "Master Roshi is right, dear. Your grandfather Gohan loved you and always knew you were a good-hearted kid. He saw something special in you and had the certainty and the feeling that you would achieve great things in the future," said Gine with a smile as she caressed her son's head.

_ Goku looked around and saw his mother and all his friends looking at him with warm smiles. With tears in his eyes, Goku said, "Mom... friends... Thank you so much; sincerely, you are a great blessing in my life."

_ "Goku, there's one thing I'd like to ask you," said Suno with a warm smile.

_ "And what is that?" asked Goku, somewhat confused.

_ "To try to smile. I don't know if anyone has told you before, but you have a lovely smile, and don't let anyone ever dim that beautiful smile of yours," encouraged Suno to her friend.

_ "Suno... Alright, I'll do it," said Goku, starting to smile, making Suno see him happy and blushing.

_ "By the way, I have something for you," said Suno, handing Goku another bag of chocolate chip cookies.

_ "Wow, more cookies? Thank you so much, Suno," said Goku, happy and excited.

_ "I'm glad you like them," said Suno, happy and blushing.

_ In her thoughts, Gine said, "Suno is undoubtedly special as she made my son regain the smile he always has. There's no doubt she loves and accepts my son just as he is."

While Suno's parents watched happily and joyfully at the scene between Goku and Suno.

_ Then Suno hugged Goku, saying, "Goku... Never change, okay?"

_ "I won't," said Goku with a smile and a slight blush on his face.

Later, Gine also hugged her son, while everyone else watched happily at the scene, and Goku felt happy and fortunate to have a mother and friends who love and appreciate him just as he is.

The next day

Suno and her parents had to return to Jingle Village, while Goku, Gine, and their friends were going separate ways. Goku and Gine were outside the hotel talking with Suno and her parents, who were waiting for a taxi to take them to the airport to return home.

_ "Goku, will you promise to visit me in Jingle Village?" asked Suno.

_ "Of course," said Goku.

_ "Great, but make sure to bundle up because it's very cold in Jingle Village," said Suno.

_ "Goku, Gine, the doors of our house will always be open to you if you ever decide to visit us in Jingle Village," said Alexander, as Sofia nodded with a smile.

_ "Thank you very much for your kind offer," said Gine with a smile.

Then the taxi arrived to take Suno and her parents to the airport.

_ "Suno's parents got into the taxi, and Sofia said to her daughter, 'Come on, sweetie, say goodbye quickly to Goku, we have to go.'"

_ "I'm coming, Mom. Goku, take care, see you," said Suno.

_ "I will, you take care too, Suno, see you," said Goku with a smile.

Then Suno kissed Goku on the cheek.

_ "Huh? What was that for?" asked Goku, confused. Suno responded with a smile, and Gine watched with joy at the tender scene, while Goku's other friends looked on with mischievous grins, except for Krillin, who felt a bit envious of his friend.

_ "Take good care, Mrs. Gine, and take good care of Goku," said Suno as she bowed before the Saiyan mother.

_ "I will, Suno, and you take care too," said Gine with a smile.

Then Suno got into the taxi with her parents, and both Suno and her parents bid farewell to Goku and Gine. Then came the moment for Goku and Gine to say goodbye to all their friends.

_ "What are you going to do now?" asked Bulma.

_ "We plan to search for my grandfather's Dragon Ball," said Goku.

_ "Oh! Are you planning to search for the Dragon Balls?" asked Yamcha.

_ "That's right," said Gine, who, in fact, wanted to search for all the Dragon Balls to try to revive her late husband, Bardock.

_ "Well, I've taught you all that I could have taught you. Now the rest is up to you," said Master Roshi to his students.

Although Krillin insisted on wanting to live with Master Roshi to continue training, and Master Roshi accepted Krillin to live with him.

_ "Do you know how to use the Dragon Radar?" asked Bulma.

_ "Of course, my mom and I know how to use it," said Goku.

Later, Goku called his Flying Nimbus, and then Goku and Gine bid farewell to Bulma, Krillin, Yamcha, Master Roshi, Oolong, and Puar. The two Saiyans got on the Flying Nimbus and headed towards their next adventure.
