The Red Ribbon: Part 2
The Ribbon: Part 2
Gine wanted to rescue Goku at all costs, but due to the blizzard, she couldn't see where her son was. Suddenly, several dozen Red Ribbon jets appeared, attacking her, and she saw that one of the jets was piloted by Colonel Silver.
_ "Now you and your son will die, woman. Once I'm done with you and your son, I'll take the Dragon Ball and prove my worth to Commander Red," said Colonel Silver while firing at Gine.
The other Red Ribbon jets were aiming at Gine, but she easily repelled their shots until a missile hit her, causing Gine to fall from hundreds of meters high to the ground.
_"We hit her! Well done, men!" Colonel Silver shouted in delight.
But Gine flew back into the sky at full speed, utterly furious.
_ "What the hell! That woman is not human! She took a missile hit and looks unscathed," Colonel Silver shouted in fear.
_"Damn you! Now you've really made me angry!" Gine said, completely furious.
Gine then began launching a barrage of ki blasts at the Red Ribbon jets, easily destroying them. She also swiftly killed every Red Ribbon soldier who was shooting at her from the ground.
_"Colonel Silver, we need to retreat!" shouted a pilot.
_"We can't! If I return empty-handed again, Commander Red will kill me. We must eliminate Gine at all costs," Colonel Silver said.
_"But Colonel Silver, that woman is easily taking us all down. We can't face her! AAAAAHHHH!" screamed one of the pilots before the communication was lost.
_"Damn it! It seems this woman and her son aren't even human," said Colonel Silver. Gine then appeared flying next to Colonel Silver's jet. She got on top of the jet, punched through the cockpit canopy, and pulled Colonel Silver out. Gine floated in the air, hundreds of meters above the ground, holding Colonel Silver by the neck while his jet crashed into a mountain.
_Colonel Silver mocked, saying, "Do you think killing me will change anything? Go ahead! It won't matter. The Red Ribbon Army is full of surprises, and rest assured, the Red Ribbon will send everything they've got against you and your son. You don't know who you're dealing with. Although in your son's case, he's probably already frozen to death in this weather, hahaha."
_Gine, completely enraged, said, "I've heard enough! I won't listen to any more words from a vile scum like you."
Gine then threw Colonel Silver into the air and launched a ki blast at him, disintegrating him instantly.
Gine descended to the ground, utterly exhausted and shivering with cold, as she was only wearing the orange Turtle School gi given to her by Master Roshi. She felt somewhat guilty for having to kill Colonel Silver despite him being a vile villain because Gine had always had a noble and gentle spirit. That's why she had given up her position as a soldier in her late husband Bardock's squad in the past. But she had to do it because he had attacked her and, more importantly, endangered her son. Gine then flew up and began searching for her son, but she couldn't see anything due to the intense blizzard. She closed her eyes to try to sense her son's ki but couldn't feel it, and that's when Gine began to fear the worst.
_"Goku... No!" Gine said in anguish at the thought that her son might be dead. Suddenly, she looked up and saw something that caught her attention. She saw a huge mark in the snow from an impact and could smell her son's scent coming from that impact in the snow. Gine ran over to it and found only a blue wristband that belonged to her son. She then saw a huge trail in the snow and realized something: "It looks like someone dragged Goku in that direction. I have to follow that trail before it disappears." Gine began walking, following the trail, as she no longer had the strength to fly.
Meanwhile
Suno was dragging Goku's body through the snow towards her house in Jingle Village, and to her relief, the blizzard began to subside. She had heard the sounds of explosions in the distance from Gine's battle with the Red Ribbon jets.
_"Hang in there, Goku. You'll be safe soon," Suno said as she dragged her frozen friend's body.
Suno was looking around for any danger while dragging her friend's body. Despite being a child, Suno was armed with a hunting rifle on her back to defend both her life and her friend's from any danger. Fortunately for Suno, she managed to reach Jingle Village without any problems.
_ Suno arrived at her house, saying, "Mom, open the door quickly!"
Suno's mother, Sofia, went to the door and said, "Daughter! Where have you been? I was getting worried about you."
_"Mom, look who I found in the forest, freezing to death," Suno said, showing the frozen Goku.
_Sofia, completely worried about the Saiyan child, said to her daughter, "Oh my God! Is that your friend Goku? Quickly, bring him inside the house!"
Suno quickly entered the house, and Sofia carried Goku, placing him in a chair next to the fireplace, covering him with a blanket and checking his pulse to see if he was still alive.
_"Is he still alive, Mom?" Suno asked, worried.
_"Don't worry, daughter. He's still alive. He just needs to rest and warm up. But I don't understand, how did you find him? And where is his mother? She must be worried about her son," Sofia said.
_"I found him in a frozen wasteland not far from here, and I heard explosions and the sounds of jets in the sky, but I couldn't see anything because of the snowstorm except for some explosions in the sky. I assumed it was Goku's mom, but I decided to bring Goku here because if he stayed out there, he would have frozen to death," Suno said, worried.
_"Hmm, it seems they had an unfortunate encounter with the Red Ribbon Army," Sofia said, thoughtfully.
_"So now what? How will we find Goku's mom?" Suno asked, worried.
_"We'll figure that out later, daughter. For now, I'll make some hot chocolate for Goku," Sofia said.
_"And in the meantime, I'll take care of Goku and make sure he warms up," said little Suno.
Sofia went to the kitchen to make hot chocolate while Suno sat by the fireplace, watching over the still-unconscious Goku. Suno then began to pray for Goku.
_ Suno prayed, saying, "God, please, I ask that Goku recovers soon and that his mom is safe."
_ Soon after, Goku began to wake up, saying, "Huh? Where am I?"
_ Suno stood up and quickly approached the Saiyan child, giving him a big hug, saying, "Goku!"
_ Goku, astonished, said, "Huh? Suno?"
_ Suno let go of Goku, smiling with tears of happiness, and said, "I'm so glad you're okay."
_ Goku, still astonished and confused, said, "Suno... But where am I? How did I get here?"
_ Suno said to Goku, "I found you in a frozen wasteland not far from here and rescued you before you froze to death. I brought you here to my house. Your entire body was stiff and frozen, and when I brought you to my house, I was afraid you were already dead."
_ Sofia appeared, holding a tray with a cup of hot chocolate, saying, "That's right, Goku. My daughter was the one who saved you."
_ Goku, with a smile, said, "Hello, Mrs. Sofia."
_ Sofia, smiling, said, "Hello, Goku."
_ Goku, smiling, said to his friend: "Well, in that case, thank you very much, Suno. You saved my life." Then Goku remembered someone very important: "Wait a moment! Where's my mom?"
_ "Well... I don't know, but she can't be far from here," Suno said, a bit sad.
_ "I have to go find her," Goku said, worried.
_ "No, Goku, it's dangerous," Suno said, alarmed.
_ "That's right, you need to stay here until you warm up. You're still very cold," Sofia said.
_ Then someone began knocking on the door, and a familiar voice was heard, saying, "Please open up! I want to see my son! I know he's here!"
Gine wanted to rescue Goku at all costs, but due to the blizzard, she couldn't see where her son was. At that moment, several dozen Red Ribbon Army jets appeared and attacked her. She noticed that one of the jets was piloted by Colonel Silver.
_ "Now you and your son will die, woman. Once I'm done with you and your son, I'll take the Dragon Ball and prove my worth to Commander Red," said Colonel Silver as he fired at Gine.
The other Red Ribbon jets aimed at Gine, but she easily repelled their shots until a missile hit her, causing her to fall from hundreds of meters above the ground.
_ "We got her! Well done, men!" shouted Colonel Silver happily.
But Gine flew back into the sky at full speed, completely furious.
_ "What the hell! That woman isn't human! She took a missile hit and seems unharmed," shouted Colonel Silver, scared.
_ "Damn you! Now you've really made me angry!" said Gine, totally furious.
Gine then started launching a barrage of ki blasts at the Red Ribbon jets, destroying them easily. She also swiftly killed every single Red Ribbon soldier shooting at her from the ground.
_ "Colonel Silver, we need to retreat!" shouted a pilot.
_ "We can't! If I return empty-handed again, Commander Red will kill me. We have to finish Gine at all costs," said Colonel Silver.
_ "But Colonel Silver, that woman is easily taking us all down! We can't face her! AAAAAHHHH!" screamed one of the pilots before losing communication.
_ "Damn it! It seems this woman and her son aren't even human," said Colonel Silver. Then Gine appeared flying next to Colonel Silver's jet. She landed on top of the jet, punched through the cockpit canopy, and pulled Colonel Silver out. Gine floated in the air, holding Colonel Silver by the neck, while his jet crashed into a mountain.
_ Colonel Silver mocked, "Do you think you can finish me? Go ahead! It won't change anything. The Red Ribbon Army is full of surprises, and you can be sure they'll unleash their entire arsenal on you and your son since you don't know who you're dealing with. Although, in your son's case, he's probably already frozen to death in this weather, hahaha!"
_ Gine, totally furious, said, "I've heard enough! I won't listen to the words of vile scum like you anymore."
_ Gine then threw Colonel Silver into the air and blasted him with a ki attack, disintegrating him instantly.
_ Gine descended to the ground, completely exhausted and trembling with cold, as she was only dressed in the orange Turtle School gi given to her by Master Roshi. She felt somewhat bad about having to kill Colonel Silver despite him being a vile villain, as Gine had always had a noble and peaceful spirit. This was why she had resigned from her position as a soldier in her late husband Bardock's squad. However, she had to do it because they had attacked her and, above all, endangered her son. Gine then rose into the air and began searching for her son but couldn't see anything due to the intense blizzard. She closed her eyes to try to sense her son's ki but couldn't feel it, which made her fear the worst.
_ "Goku... No!" said Gine, anguished at the thought that her son might be dead. But suddenly, she noticed something. She saw a massive mark in the snow, the result of an impact, and smelled her son's scent coming from that impact site. Gine ran to the spot and found only a blue wristband belonging to her son. She saw a large trail in the snow and realized something: "It seems someone dragged Goku in that direction. I need to follow the trail before it disappears." Gine started walking, following the trail, as she no longer had the strength to fly.
Meanwhile
Suno was dragging Goku's body through the snow to her house in Jingle Village. To her relief, the blizzard began to subside, and she had heard the sounds of explosions from the distance, caused by Gine's battle against the Red Ribbon jets.
_ "Hang in there, Goku. You'll be safe soon," said Suno as she dragged her friend's frozen body.
Suno kept an eye out for any danger while dragging her friend's body. Despite being a child, Suno was armed with a hunting rifle strapped to her back to protect both herself and her friend from any threat. Fortunately, Suno made it to Jingle Village without any trouble.
_ Suno arrived at her house and shouted, "Mom, open the door quickly!"
_ Sophia, Suno's mother, rushed to the door and said, "Suno! Where have you been? I was so worried about you."
_ "Mom, look who I found in the forest, freezing to death," said Suno, showing the frozen Goku.
_ Sophia, extremely worried about the young Saiyan, said to her daughter, "Oh my God! Is this your friend Goku? Quickly, bring him inside the house!"
Suno quickly entered the house, and Sophia carried Goku, placing him on a chair next to the fireplace. She covered him with a blanket and checked his pulse to see if he was still alive.
_ "Is he still alive, Mom?" asked Suno, worried.
_ "Don't worry, dear. He's alive. He just needs to rest and warm up. But I don't understand, how did you find him? And where is his mother? She must be worried about her son," said Sophia.
_ "I found him in a frozen wasteland not far from here. I heard explosions and the sound of jets coming from the sky, but I couldn't see anything because of the snowstorm, except for some explosions in the sky. I assumed it was Goku's mom, but I decided to bring Goku here since he would have frozen to death if he stayed there," said Suno, concerned.
_ "Hmm, it seems they had an unfortunate encounter with the Red Ribbon Army," said Sophia, thoughtfully.
_ "What now? How will we find Goku's mom?" asked Suno, worried.
_"We'll figure that out later, dear. Now I'll make some hot chocolate for Goku," said Sophia.
_ "Meanwhile, I'll take care of Goku and make sure he warms up," said little Suno.
Sophia went to the kitchen to prepare hot chocolate while Suno sat near the fireplace, watching over the unconscious Goku. She then started praying for Goku.
_ Suno prayed, "God, please help Goku recover quickly and keep his mom safe."
_ Shortly after, Goku started to wake up, saying, "Huh? Where am I?"
_ Suno stood up and quickly approached the young Saiyan, giving him a big hug, saying, "Goku!"
_ Goku, astonished, said, "Huh? Suno?"
_ Suno, with a smile and tears of joy, said, "I'm so glad you're okay."
_ Goku, still astonished and confused, said, "Suno... But where am I? How did I get here?"
_ Suno replied, "I found you in a frozen wasteland not far from here and rescued you before you froze to death. I brought you to my house. Your whole body was stiff and frozen, and when I brought you here, I was afraid you were already dead."
_ Sophia appeared holding a tray with a cup of hot chocolate, saying, "That's right, Goku. My daughter saved you."
_ Goku, smiling, said, "Hello, Mrs. Sophia."
_ Sophia, smiling, said, "Hello, Goku."
_ Goku, with a smile, said to his friend, "Well, then, thank you very much, Suno. You saved my life." Then Goku remembered someone very important: "Wait a moment! Where's my mom?"
_ "Well... I don't know, but she can't be far from here," said Suno, somewhat sad.
_ "I have to go find her," said Goku, worried.
_ "No, Goku. It's dangerous," said Suno, alarmed.
_ "That's right, you need to stay here until you warm up. You're still very cold," said Sophia.
_ Then someone started knocking on the door, and a familiar voice said, "Please open up! I want to see my son! I know he's here!"
_ "That voice... It's my mom!" said Goku, worried.
Sophia left the tray with the hot chocolate she had made for Goku on a table and ran to open the door. Indeed, it was Gine. Once Sophia opened the door, Gine collapsed into the house, utterly exhausted, covered in snow, and trembling with cold.
_ "Mom!" said Goku, running towards Gine, worried.
_ "Honey... I'm so glad you're okay," said Gine with a smile as she hugged her son.
Sophia helped the Saiyan mother sit on a couch near the fireplace, covered her with a blanket, and gave both Goku and Gine a cup of hot chocolate to warm up. Gine was somewhat surprised after reuniting with Suno and her mother.
_ Gine said to Suno and her mother, Sophia, "I'm so happy to see you again. Thank you for taking us in, my son and me."
_ Sophia replied, "It's nothing. It's a miracle that you and your son are alive after enduring this intense cold. You should thank Suno because if she hadn't found your son in the snow and brought him here, he would have surely frozen to death."
_ Gine set her cup of hot chocolate aside and went over to the little Suno to hug her. With a smile full of gratitude, she said, "Thank you so much, Suno. Really, thank you. You don't know how grateful I am to you for saving my son's life. You're truly a brave girl."
_ "Um... It was nothing, ma'am. Goku is special to me. Oh! Sorry, I mean, he's my friend, and I just did what any friend would do in my place," Suno said, a little embarrassed and blushing.
Gine and Sofia laughed while Goku just looked at Suno, somewhat confused.
_ "Well, being that way, you really are a great friend to my son," Gine said as she gently patted Suno's head, thinking to herself, "And I sincerely hope you can become more than just a friend to my son in the future."
Sofia, Suno's mother, smiled at the scene and also noticed the affection her daughter was showing for Goku. Goku and Gine went back to drinking their hot chocolate while Suno sat next to Goku, happily and blushingly watching him as she leaned on the edge of the chair where the young Saiyan was sitting. Goku ended up burning his tongue trying to drink his hot chocolate too quickly.
_ "Sweetie, be more careful, it's hot. You need to blow on it and drink it slowly," Gine said.
"One question: What happened to you? Why did your son end up unconscious in the snow? My daughter told me she heard the sounds of planes and saw explosions coming from the sky near where she found Goku frozen," Sofia asked, somewhat confused.
_ "Well, you see..." Gine began.
Gine started recounting all the troubles they had encountered with the Red Ribbon Army on their way, as the Red Ribbon Army was also searching for the Dragon Balls, just like her and her son.
_ "What? So, you and your son are also looking for the Dragon Balls?" Sofia asked, astonished.
_ "That's right," Gine said.
_ "So, you and Goku are fighting against the Red Ribbon Army?" Suno asked, astonished.
_ Gine nodded, saying, "That's right, Suno." Then Gine sighed, feeling a bit sad, and said, "Goku and I had problems along the way, and in our last encounter with the Red Ribbon Army, I had to kill a guy named Colonel Silver and all his men who were attacking me and my son. Honestly, I hate having to resort to violence, but those guys left me no choice."
_ "Don't blame yourself for that! They deserved it! And as a mother, you have the duty to protect your son at all costs. Those heartless people from the Red Ribbon Army are forcing all the men in the village, including my husband, to do forced labor," Sofia said.
_ Suno, feeling sad and trying to hold back her tears, said, "That's right, those monsters are forcing my dad and all the men in the village to work as slaves searching for that Dragon Ball. They even kidnapped our village's mayor and have him locked up in Muscle Tower. They threatened to kill the mayor and, if necessary, all the villagers if we don't do what they say."
_ "The wicked General White is forcing all the men in the village to do those terrible forced labor jobs, directing his soldiers from Muscle Tower. My poor husband comes home every night exhausted and with marks from the beatings the Red Ribbon soldiers give him. I don't understand what they want with those Dragon Balls," Sofia said.
_ "It turns out the Dragon Balls are seven, and when someone gathers all seven, a great dragon named Shen-Long appears and can grant any wish," Goku said.
_ "Is that true, Goku?" Suno asked, astonished.
_ "Yes, my mom and I saw it in person when we, along with our friends Bulma, Yamcha, Oolong, and Puar, had our first adventure searching for the Dragon Balls a year ago. Isn't that right, Mom?" Goku said.
_ "That's right, although at first, I had my doubts about Shen-Long until I saw him in person and realized it was no myth," Gine responded.
_ "Wow, amazing," Suno said.
_ "That explains why those from the Red Ribbon Army are so eager to find the Dragon Balls. They want them to dominate the world," Sofia said.
Then Gine remembered the words her adoptive father, Son Gohan, had told her several years ago.
_ "I am not one to judge your race because unfortunately, in this world, just as there are many good humans, there are also many evil humans who are no different from the most wicked Saiyans. Many of these evil humans can commit acts so wicked and atrocious that your mind couldn't even imagine. This is something that both you and your son will unfortunately see with your own eyes if you ever decide to explore and know this world."
_ Then Gine, feeling utterly furious and indignant, said to herself in her thoughts, "I will not allow these Red Ribbon bastards to get away with hurting more innocent people. It's time to repay Suno and her family for the kindness they showed me and my son." Then Gine, with determination, said, "We won't allow it."
_ "That's right," Goku said, angry.
_ Sofia said to Gine, "I don't recommend you and your son challenge the Red Ribbon Army. They are very dangerous people."
_ "Well, Goku and I are also very dangerous for those wicked individuals. Just tell us where this General White is, and rest assured that Goku and I will take care of them as needed," Gine replied.
Then, from outside, there was the sound of an immense military vehicle parking.
_ "Oh no, it's them!" Sofia said, anguished, while hugging her daughter.
_ "You and Suno hide. Goku and I can handle them," Gine said.
_ "Excuse me, Mom, but I need to go to the bathroom," Goku said as he ran to the bathroom.
_ Gine sighed and said, "Well... I suppose I can handle those soldiers on my own."
Then Suno and her mother hid in a room, and two soldiers opened the door of the house, pointing their weapons. When they saw Gine, the Red Ribbon soldiers started shooting, but Gine easily caught each and every bullet with her hand, causing the soldiers to panic. Then, with one hit, Gine sent the two soldiers flying out of the house, leaving Suno and Sofia, who had watched everything through a crack in the door, astonished.
_ "Did you see that, Mom? Mrs. Gine easily repelled those soldiers' bullets," Suno said, astonished.
_ "That's right," Sofia said, equally astonished.
_ Goku came out of the bathroom, a little annoyed, and said, "Mom, why didn't you leave any fun for me?"
_ Gine laughed and said, "Don't worry, sweetie. There will be plenty more Red Ribbon soldiers for you to face and fight."
Sofia and Suno came out of their hiding place, and Sofia told Gine where General White was, directing his soldiers from his base in Muscle Tower.
_ "Are you planning to go to Muscle Tower?" Sofia asked.
_ "That's right. Alright, Mom! Let's go!" Goku said determinedly.
_ Then Goku opened the door, but Gine said to her son, "No, Goku, wait!" But it was too late. Goku had already run out of the village towards Muscle Tower. Gine facepalmed in frustration and said, "This kid forgot it's freezing outside."
_ Then, less than a minute later, Goku returned, frozen and shivering, saying, "I'm cold, that's why I came back."
Gine, Suno, and Sofia all comically fell with their legs in the air.
_ Suno, completely furious, said to Goku, "How could you go outside without a coat after I saved you from freezing to death? Goku, you must listen to your mom before acting."
_ Goku, totally nervous, said to Suno, "Okay, Suno, it won't happen again."
_ Gine laughed and said, "Thanks for correcting my son for me, Suno."
_ Suno smiled and nodded, saying, "You're welcome, Mrs. Gine."
Then Suno gave Goku one of her coats, and Sofia gave Gine one of her coats, which fit perfectly. Goku and Gine thanked them for the coats.
_ "Alright, now let's save the mayor and free this village from that General White," Gine said with a smile.
_ Then Goku approached Suno and, looking her in the eyes, said, "Suno, I promise we will free your father and your entire village."
_ Suno smiled and said, "I know you will, Goku. I believe in you." Then Suno hugged Goku and said, "Promise me you'll be careful and come back safe and sound. I don't want anything bad to happen to you." Then Suno said to Gine, "Please be careful, Mrs. Gine, and take care of Goku."
_ Goku smiled and said, "Don't worry, Suno. My mom and I will be fine."
_ Gine, smiling, patted Suno's head and said, "Don't worry, Suno. Goku and I will return safe and sound with your father, and your entire village will be free from the evil hands of General White and the Red Ribbon Army." Then Gine said to Goku, "Are you ready, Goku?"
_ Goku, with a determined smile, nodded, saying, "Yes, Mom!"
Then Goku and Gine ran at full speed towards Muscle Tower while Sophia and Suno watched the two Saiyans quickly move away. Suno, with a hand on her chest, wished in her mind that Goku and Gine would succeed and return safely.
_ "Do you think they'll make it?" Sophia asked.
_ "I know they will. I've seen with my own eyes how strong Goku and Mrs. Gine are, and I know they will succeed," Suno said, and in her mind, she looked at the sky with a hand on her chest and visualized Goku, saying in her mind, "Goku, please be very careful."
Meanwhile, Goku and Gine were running towards Muscle Tower at great speed, encountering several Red Ribbon Army soldiers along the way, whom they defeated and destroyed their military vehicles with great ease. Gine scared off several Red Ribbon Army soldiers, who were terrified seeing how the Saiyan mother easily lifted a military tank and then threw it at them, while Goku effortlessly repelled the Red Ribbon Army soldiers' gunfire with his Power Pole until they finally reached Muscle Tower, an immense tower built with stone blocks. Then Goku and Gine entered Muscle Tower, and General White welcomed them.
_ "Welcome to Muscle Tower, hahaha," General White said over the communicator.
_ "Come out and face us, coward," Gine said furiously.
_ "If you're looking for the mayor, he's on the top floor. I know you're afraid to face me because a woman and a child can't be my rivals," General White said.
_ "Says the one who sends his men to fight while he stays safely in his base! Let's go, Mom!" Goku said.
_ Gine told her son, "Be very careful, Goku!"
_ Goku nodded, saying, "Yes, Mom!"
Then Goku and Gine opened the door and found themselves with a bunch of Red Ribbon Army soldiers and guards who mocked both Saiyans for "being just a kid and a woman." But Goku and Gine silenced their mockery by easily knocking out the guards and soldiers.
Meanwhile, General White was in the company of Sergeant Purple, a ninja dressed in purple and carrying a katana on his back.
_ "No doubt that kid and that woman are not normal," Sergeant Purple said.
_ "Do you think they can get here?" General White asked Sergeant Purple.
_ "I doubt it, as no one ever defeated Sergeant Metallic on the third level, and even if they did, they would have to fight me on the fourth level, and I am ranked higher than Sergeant Metallic," Sergeant Purple said with a sinister smile.
General White informed Sergeant Metallic of Goku and Gine's arrival, who were already on their way to the third floor. Sergeant Metallic was a humanoid robot over 3 meters tall with white skin, dressed in a vest, blue gloves, and sunglasses. When both Saiyans reached the third floor, they were somewhat amazed by Sergeant Metallic's size and build, but neither Goku nor Gine was intimidated.
_ "You must defeat me if you want to get to the top," Sergeant Metallic said in a challenging tone.
_ "Well, as you wish. Are you ready, Goku?" Gine said, getting into her battle stance.
_ "Yes, Mom," Goku said.
Then Sergeant Metallic threw a punch at both Saiyans, but Goku and Gine easily dodged it at a speed that made them invisible, and Sergeant Metallic looked around for both Saiyans.
_ "Here we are, you big bully!" Goku shouted.
Sergeant Metallic saw Goku and Gine standing on a ledge, and both Goku and Gine stuck their tongues out, mocking Sergeant Metallic.
_ "You may be big, but you're too slow for us," Gine said, mocking the humanoid robot.
Sergeant Metallic began analyzing Goku and Gine and concluded that both were aliens. Then Sergeant Metallic opened his mouth and launched a missile at both Saiyans, but Goku and Gine dodged the missile, which hit a wall, causing the cold and blizzard from outside to start entering the base. Meanwhile, General White and Sergeant Purple watched the great power of Sergeant Metallic on a screen. However, Goku and Gine were hiding behind a column and came out to mock Sergeant Metallic once more.
_ "Lero lero. You didn't scratch us," Goku said, sticking his tongue out at Sergeant Metallic.
_ "It's incredible; that kid and that woman are not normal. No wonder they were finalists in the last World Martial Arts Tournament," General White said.
Then Sergeant Metallic charged at Goku and Gine to attack them with his immense fists, but Goku and Gine easily dodged Sergeant Metallic's attack.
_ Gine was about to charge at Sergeant Metallic, but Goku told Gine, "Mom, let me take care of this guy."
_ Gine smiled and nodded, saying, "Okay, Goku, he's all yours."
Goku launched a powerful Kamehameha at Sergeant Metallic, which left him shattered and headless.
_ "Well done, Goku!" Gine said excitedly.
_ Then Goku said a prayer, "Please, God, have mercy on his soul."
But to Goku and Gine's surprise, Sergeant Metallic was still moving and tried to attack Goku. Sergeant Metallic launched his fists like missiles, which detached from his body, but Gine grabbed her son and dodged Sergeant Metallic's fists. Then Gine launched a powerful Kamehameha, disintegrating Sergeant Metallic.
_ "It can't be... That kid named Goku and that woman named Gine destroyed Sergeant Metallic," General White said, astonished. Then General White told Sergeant Purple, "You know what to do."
_ "Yes, sir," Sergeant Purple said.
Meanwhile, Goku and Gine were contemplating the remains of what was once Sergeant Metallic.
_ "Wow, that was close," Goku said.
_ "Goku, you must be careful and not let your guard down. That enemy was a robot, so it was expected that he could continue fighting without a head," Gine said.
_ "Yes, Mom," Goku said.
Then Goku and Gine ran to the fourth level, where Sergeant Purple would be waiting for them.
Meanwhile in Jingle Village
Suno, in her house in Jingle Village, was praying to God for Goku's protection and for his safe return when Alexander, completely exhausted, arrived home.
_ "Honey, you finally made it," Sophia said, welcoming her husband.
_ "Dad!" Suno said, happy and excited as she hugged her father.
_ Alexander sighed, exhausted, and said, "Hello, love. Hello, Suno. I'm glad to see you both."
_ "You came back early today," Sophia said.
_ "Yes. It turns out the Red Ribbon Army soldiers let us go early today because all the soldiers were called to Muscle Tower since apparently they were informed about a woman and a child attacking their facilities, and I think I know exactly who they are," Alexander said as he sat down in an armchair.
_ "That's right, Dad. It's Goku and Mrs. Gine. They were both here and promised to free our village from the Red Ribbon Army, and I know they will," Suno said excitedly.
_ "I hope they succeed because I heard there's a powerful monster in Muscle Tower, and I'm afraid that monster could easily defeat Goku and Gine," Alexander said in a discouraged tone.
_ "How horrible!" Sophia said, frightened.
_ "I've seen Goku fight, and I know what he's capable of. I know he and Mrs. Gine can defeat any enemy they face," Suno said with determination.
_ "I hope you're right, daughter," Alexander said in a discouraged tone.
_ Meanwhile, Suno looked out the window, hoping Goku would return soon, and in her mind, she said, "Goku, please be careful. Remember you promised me you would return safe and sound."
Meanwhile in Muscle Tower
Goku and Gine managed to reach the fourth floor and saw that everything was dark.
_ "How strange. It's all dark," Goku said.
_ "We better stay alert, Goku," Gine said.
At that moment, some shurikens were thrown at Goku and Gine, but they easily dodged them.
_ "Who are you? Come out of hiding and face us, coward," Gine said.
_ "I am known as the bringer of death, the Purple Ninja. I am Sergeant Purple," Sergeant Purple said from an unknown location.
Goku didn't know where his voice was coming from, but Gine did because she had her senses much more trained than her son's. Then the lights came on, and both Saiyans saw they were in the middle of a garden with several trees and a water fountain. Gine then blew a gust of air at one of the trees, and from the treetop, Sergeant Purple fell.
_ "What? How did you know where I was?" Sergeant Purple asked, astonished.
Gine analyzed Sergeant Purple closely and saw that he was the right opponent for Goku to face alone, so he could learn to fend for himself and fight his own battles.
_ Gine smiled and said to her son, "Goku, I'll leave him to you. I want to see what you're capable of on your own."
_ "Yes, Mom, as you say," Goku said.
Then Gine flew up and decided to watch from above as Goku faced Sergeant Purple. Gine saw that Sergeant Purple was practically playing hide and seek with Goku and found it amusing when Sergeant Purple hid in the fountain using a hollow bamboo to breathe through his mouth. Goku grabbed a kettle with boiling water and poured the boiling water through the hole in the hollow bamboo that Sergeant Purple was breathing through, burning Sergeant Purple's tongue. However, Gine was horrified when she saw that Goku had greatly overdone it by inserting his Power Pole into Sergeant Purple's backside, causing him to scream in pain while Goku found it funny. Then Sergeant Purple multiplied himself by five. Gine initially thought they were his clones, but it turned out they were actually his brothers. There were five identical Purple Ninja brothers, but Goku easily defeated Sergeant Purple's four brothers.
_ Gine intervened and said to Sergeant Purple, "You better surrender; it's clear you're no match for my son, let alone for me."
_ Sergeant Purple, completely furious, said, "I'm not defeated yet; I still have my secret weapon." Then Sergeant Purple ran up some stairs to an immense cage and said, "Prepare to meet your worst nightmare. Come out of your cage, Android Number 8!"
Then the cage opened, and an immense figure with a rectangular head and stitches on his forehead and left cheek, dressed in a blue suit, of thick build, and over three meters tall, emerged, chained. Goku and Gine got into their battle stance.
_ Android Number 8 asked, "Can I take off these chains?"
_ "Oh! Of course, let me find the key," Sergeant Purple said.
_ But Android Number 8 said, "I don't need it."
Then Android Number 8 proceeded to break his chains easily.
_ "Hahaha, what do you think? Now Number 8 will crush you. Come on, Number 8, finish off that woman and her son," Sergeant Purple said with a sinister smile.
_ But Android Number 8 remained calm and said, "I won't do it. It's bad to kill, especially a mother and her child. I hate having to do bad things."
Goku and Gine were amazed by what the immense Android Number 8 said.
_ "But how dare you? You were created by the Red Ribbon Army to obey. You have a bomb inside you, and if you don't obey, I'll destroy you, blowing you to pieces. Is that clear?" the Purple Ninja retorted furiously.
_ "I know the evil things you've been doing, holding the village mayor prisoner and forcing the men of the village to work as slaves. I refuse to take part in these vile acts, even if you destroy me," Eighter replied.
_ "I've heard enough! Purple Ninja, you know what to do," General White said angrily.
_ "Yes, sir!" the Purple Ninja said, pulling out a remote control with a red button and saying to Eighter, "Since you refused to obey our orders, you'll be destroyed with this remote control."
_ Eighter closed his eyes, fearing the worst, but Goku used his Power Pole, shouting, "I won't allow it!" and struck the Purple Ninja's hand, sending the remote flying. Gine then fired a Ki blast, completely disintegrating the remote.
_ Gine kicked the Purple Ninja into the wall, knocking him unconscious.
_ "You deserved it," Gine said angrily.
_ Eighter said to Goku and Gine, "Thank you very much for helping me. I am very happy; you seem like good people."
_ Goku and Gine looked somewhat surprised at Eighter, and Gine, with a smile, said, "No problem, but why didn't you stop him yourself? You could have done it."
_ Eighter, in a calm voice, said, "Fighting is not good, and I don't like to hurt anyone."
Hearing Eighter, Gine couldn't help but feel sympathy for him, as she saw they had much in common. Eighter reminded Gine of the times she was discharged from her late husband Bardock's squad and Frieza's army for not being able to be as cruel as the other Saiyans and for not wanting to take innocent lives.
_ "Tell me, what are your names?" Eighter asked.
_ "My name is Goku, and she is my mom," Goku said with a smile.
_ "Nice to meet you, I'm Gine, and what's your name?" Gine asked with a smile.
_ "They named me Android Number 8" The Android said.
_ Goku, completely confused and thoughtful, said, "What a complicated name... Hmm..." Then Goku thought of a name for The Android Number 8 and smiled, saying, "I got it! How about we call you Eighter?"
_ "Eighter? Hmm, I like it," Eighter said with a smile.
_ "I like it too. You came up with a nice name, Goku," Gine said with a smile. Then, Gine, serious, said, "There will be time for bonding later. Goku, now we must quickly go to the top floor of the tower to defeat General White."
_ "I know where the top floor is, follow me," Eighter said.
Goku and Gine nodded and followed Eighter to the next floor, which was a maze. Meanwhile, General White began mobilizing several soldiers to stop Goku and Gine, but both Saiyans easily knocked out every Red Ribbon Army soldier they faced, although Eighter tried to stay out of the way as much as possible since he didn't want to hurt anyone. Goku and Gine followed Eighter to the end of the maze. General White tried to close the door to prevent Goku, Gine, and Eighter from exiting the maze, but Gine, with a strong punch, destroyed the gate, allowing them to pass easily. Eighter then guided Goku and Gine to the sixth floor until they finally reached where General White was.
_ "Finally, you're trapped, General White," Goku said furiously.
_ "I suggest you surrender peacefully. Don't make me end you like I did your comrade, Colonel Silver," Gine said angrily.
_ "General White, please surrender. Look, Goku and Gine are very strong, and you have no chance against them," Eighter said.
_ "Shut up, you treacherous scrap! Not only do you betray me after I brought you back to life as a robot, but you also have the nerve to tell me what to do? Well, I won't surrender," General White said furiously.
Then General White activated a trapdoor, sending Goku, Gine, and Eighter down a tunnel leading to a room. Gine landed on her feet and caught her son, then saw that Eighter was about to fall on her and her son, but Gine reacted in time and caught Eighter with one hand.
_ "Thank you very much, Mom," Goku said.
_ "You're welcome, dear," Gine said with a smile.
_ "Thank you very much, Ms. Gine. You are strong to be able to hold someone as big and heavy as me," Eighter said with a smile.
_ "You're welcome, Eighter, but you can just call me Gine," Gine said with a smile.
Gine then set her son and Eighter down, and they saw they were in some kind of dungeon.
General White spoke through a speaker, saying, "Give me the Dragon Ball and the Radar you have, and I will gladly spare your lives."
_ "Never," Goku replied furiously.
_ "As you wish," General White said with a wicked smile.
_ "Are you also looking for the Dragon Balls? Do you want to use them for something bad?" Eighter asked.
_ "Not at all. Personally, I want the Dragon Ball my late grandpa gave me, but my mom wants to gather them all to make a wish, which I don't know what it is," Goku said.
_ "Believe me, it's not a bad wish. It's something important that would make not only me but also my son happy," Gine said sadly, with a hand on her chest, remembering her late husband Bardock.
_ Eighter saw Gine's sad eyes and saw sincerity in her gaze. Eighter, with a smile, said, "I understand... I can see that both you and your son are good people."
_ "Thank you, Eighter. You are a good person too," Gine said with a smile.
Suddenly, a wall began to open, and out came a huge pink monster, five meters tall, very robust, with two antennas, an enormous green tongue, and very sharp teeth.
_"But what is that thing?" Gine asked, astonished.
_"Everyone, say hello to my secret weapon, Buyon. Now you're finished! You should have surrendered when you had the chance," said General White, laughing evilly.
_"Oh no, we're doomed," said Eighter, scared.
_Goku and Gine took their fighting stances, but Goku said to Gine, "Mom, let me face him myself. Remember, I have to learn to fend for myself and fight my own battles."
_Gine, smiling, said to her son, "Alright, honey, but remember, if things get tough, you can ask for my help if you want."
Then Goku began launching a barrage of punches against Buyon, but Goku's punches had no effect because Buyon's body was so soft that it easily absorbed the impact of Goku's blows. Goku then fired a Kamehameha, but it was useless, and Goku began to starve since he hadn't eaten anything all day.
Gine wanted to intervene but knew it was her son's battle, so he alone had to defeat Buyon to get to where General White was. Gine decided to give her son some help to defeat Buyon once and for all.
_Gine said to her son, "Goku, think. Your punches won't affect that monster Buyon as long as his body is soft. I think that should tell you something."
_Then Goku thought back to when Suno found him frozen and told him his body was hardened by the ice, and Goku had a great idea of how to defeat Buyon once and for all: "I got it, I know how to defeat Buyon! Thanks, Mom!" Goku said with a smile, and in his mind, he also smiled, "And thanks to you too, Suno."
Then Goku punched a wall of the dungeon that led to the outside of Muscle Tower, and once he did, the intense cold and blizzard from outside started to come in, causing Buyon to begin freezing. However, it also made Goku and Gine shiver from the cold as they had taken off their coats on the second level of Muscle Tower before facing Major Metallitron. Goku and Gine got into Eighter's coat to warm up, but Goku stepped out of Eighter's coat for a moment to deliver a powerful punch to the frozen Buyon. The punch caused Buyon to crack and shatter into pieces, instantly killing him.
_"Well done, Goku," Gine said with a smile.
_"Hehe, thanks a lot, Mom," Goku said with a smile.
Meanwhile, General White was horrified to see his best weapon defeated so easily by the Saiyan boy. Both Goku and Gine then launched a barrage of ki blasts at the ceiling, creating a hole in the control room where General White was. Goku then used his Power Pole to reach the control room, and Gine flew to the control room, carrying Eighter.
_Eighter, totally amazed, said, "This is incredible, Gine! You can fly! But how can you do it?"
_"Simply with training. Now let's defeat General White," Gine said.
When Goku, Gine, and Eighter reached the control room, General White pulled out a revolver and fired at Goku and Gine, but both Goku and Gine caught the bullets.
_"AAAAHHH! It can't be! You definitely aren't human!" General White said, alarmed.
_"You better surrender and release the village mayor if you know what's good for you," Gine said seriously.
_Then General White took off his green sweater and said, "Let's see if you're strong enough to face me."
_"Oh, please, it can't be. It seems these Red Ribbon individuals don't know when to give up," Gine said, facepalming and shaking her head.
_Then Eighter stepped between the Saiyans and General White and said, "Please, don't fight anymore. Make peace instead."
_"Shut up, you useless, traitorous scrap!" General White said furiously, throwing his green sweater at Eighter's face, causing the Android to stumble.
_Goku, concerned, asked, "Are you okay, Eighter?"
_"Goku, give that guy what he deserves and let's end this once and for all," Gine said.
_"As you say, Mom," Goku said seriously.
Then Goku delivered a couple of punches to General White, leaving him in pain.
_"I did it," Goku said, celebrating.
_At that moment, General White was about to grab Goku by the tail, but Gine intervened in time and said, "I don't think so. I suggest you surrender. Please don't make me have to kill you."
_"Please, General White, end this senseless violence," Eighter said, worried.
_"I suggest you listen to Eighter," Gine said seriously. Then General White saw a pistol on the ground he was about to grab, but Gine got to it first, easily crushing it with one hand in front of the astonished General White, saying, "I don't think so."
_General White, in a resigned tone, said, "Alright, I surrender. I'll release the mayor of Jingle Village."
General White then guided Goku, Gine, and Eighter to the cell where the mayor was and opened the cell. Goku, Gine, and Eighter saw that the mayor of Jingle Village was an elderly man, bald with hair on the sides of his head, and wore glasses.
_ "You may come out," General White said.
_ "What happened? I heard a boy and a girl came to rescue me," the mayor said, somewhat surprised.
_ "That's right," General White said, pointing at Goku and Gine.
_ "A pleasure to meet you, Mayor. My son and I are here to rescue you," Gine said with a smile.
_ "Oh, what a joy! You and your son look very brave, and from what I heard from the Red Ribbon soldiers, you are also very strong and powerful," the mayor said with a smile.
_ But then General White grabbed the mayor and pulled out a hidden gun, pointing it at the mayor's head, saying, "Stay back! If you take another step, I'll kill the mayor."
_ "But how...?" Gine said, astonished.
_ "Ha! Fool, did you really think I only had one gun?" General White said with a sinister smile.
_ Gine, now serious, said, "It's clear that you are not willing to surrender. I will be forced to kill you."
Gine could easily disarm General White with her speed and strength, but with the gun so close to the mayor's head, she feared a wrong move could cause the trigger to be pulled, ending the mayor's life. Then, General White shot at Goku. Gine stepped in, blocking the bullet with her arm, causing pain to the Saiyan mother.
_ "Mom! Are you okay?!" Goku asked, worried.
_ Gine, groaning in pain, saw she only had a slight wound on her arm and said to Goku with a smile, "Don't worry, Goku. It's just a scratch."
_ Goku, completely furious, said to General White, "You bastard! How dare you hurt my mom?! I won't forgive you!"
_ But before Goku could act, Eighter became enraged to the astonishment of everyone present and said, "You are a very bad man. How dare you hurt little Goku's mom?"
_ General White released the mayor and pointed his gun at the android, saying, "Damn android! Have you forgotten you were created to serve me? I'll finish you off!"
Eighter charged at General White, who began shooting at the android, but his shots had no effect. Eighter delivered a tremendous punch to General White, sending him through the window and launching him dozens of meters away, causing his instant death. Goku and Gine were astonished by Eighter's strength, but then they began to shiver from the cold and huddled into Eighter's coat.
_ "We need to get out of here. Follow me, Mayor," Eighter said.
_ The mayor nodded, saying, "Alright."
_ "That was impressive, Eighter. I see you have incredible strength. It seems you become powerful when you get angry," Gine said with a smile.
_ "Thank you, but I don't like fighting," Eighter said with a smile.
_ "I understand, but you still did well to give that evil man what he deserved," Gine said with a smile.
_ "That's true," Goku said weakly.
_ "Goku, are you alright?" Eighter asked, concerned.
_ "I'm just hungry," Goku said.
_ "Don't worry, honey. We'll soon be back in the village where we can eat something," Gine said with a smile.
After Goku, Gine, Eighter, and the mayor of Jingle Village left Muscle Tower, Eighter knocked down Muscle Tower with his fists, completely demolishing it. By the time it was all over, the sun was already setting.
_ "Finally, this nightmare is over. I'm eager to return to the village and share the good news with everyone," the mayor said, happy and relieved.
Eighter began the journey back to Jingle Village, carrying Goku and Gine in his coat, while the mayor walked beside them.
Meanwhile, in Jingle Village, Suno was taking some bread out of the oven that she had prepared for Goku with her mom's help, hoping her friend would soon return safe and sound.
_ "Suno, do you really think Goku and Gine will come back?" Sophia asked her daughter.
_ Suno, with determination, said, "Of course I do, Mom."
_ Sophia sighed sadly and said, "I hope you're right, dear..."
_ Suno, determined, said, "I'm sure Goku and Mrs. Gine will defeat the Red Ribbon Army and return safe and sound with the mayor. You'll see." Then Suno saw something out the window that caught her attention and said excitedly, "Mom, Dad, come see this!"
Alexander and Sophia looked out the window at the two figures approaching. Suno and her parents went outside to see who was coming closer.
_ "That... That looks like the mayor," Alexander said, astonished.
_ "Yes, it's the mayor, and he's accompanied by a stranger," Sophia said.
Meanwhile, Goku and Gine were being carried by Eighter, who kept them warm inside his coat while the mayor walked beside them.
_ "I'm starving," Goku said.
_ "Be patient, honey," Gine said.
Then Goku, Gine, Eighter, and the mayor were greeted by Suno and her parents.
_ "Goku and Mrs. Gine saved our mayor!" Suno said excitedly.
_ "Look, they're my friends," the mayor said, happy and excited.
_ "Who's that person next to the mayor?" Alexander asked.
_ "I don't know," Sophia said.
_ Suno, worried, said, "Where's Goku? I don't see him or Mrs. Gine."
_ Then Gine saw Suno and her parents waiting outside their house and said to her son, "Look, Goku! It's Suno! She's waiting for you."
Goku looked up and saw little Suno waiting for him, holding the tray of bread she had just taken out of the oven.
_ Goku emerged from Eighter's coat and, with a smile, said to Suno, "Hi, Suno!"
Then Goku, happy, began running towards Suno with his arms outstretched.
_ Suno, happy and with tears in her eyes, said, "It's Goku! Goku returned safe and sound! What a relief!"
_ Then Gine emerged from Eighter's coat and saw her son happily running towards Suno and thought, "How sweet, my son is running happily to embrace his friend who cares so much about him. From here, I can see the joy and the tears of happiness on Suno's face at seeing my son safe and sound."
Goku was running towards Suno, but just as it seemed like he was going to hug her, Goku lunged at the tray of bread Suno was holding, leaving Suno and her parents astonished.
_ Gine, Eighter, and the mayor approached Goku. Gine, somewhat annoyed by her son's behavior, just lightly facepalmed and shook her head slightly, saying, "Oh, Goku, what am I going to do with you?"
Then Suno, Alexander, Sophia, Eighter, and the mayor just started laughing, while Gine smiled and began to laugh too.
_ "It's alright, Mrs. Gine. Don't worry, I made that bread for Goku anyway, as I imagined he would be hungry after all that fighting," Suno said with a smile.
_ "Your bread was delicious, Suno. Thank you very much," Goku said with a smile.
_ "You're welcome, Goku. I'm glad you returned safe and sound," Suno said, happy and blushing.
_ "Please, come in, we have plenty of food," Sophia said with a smile.
_ "Thank you very much for your hospitality," Gine said with a smile, bowing.
Then Suno's parents invited Goku, Gine, Eighter, and the mayor to eat. Both Goku and Gine ate large quantities of food, and Suno sat happily and blushing beside Goku, watching him eat.
_ "Wow, Goku is quite the glutton, but he looks so cute when he eats," Suno thought.
Meanwhile, Goku and Gine told everyone about everything they had to go through in Muscle Tower and the enemies they had to face.
_ "This is amazing. You are all heroes, so I would like all of you to stay and live here," the mayor said with a smile.
_ Then Suno took Goku's arm and, with a smile, said, "That's a wonderful idea, Mr. Mayor. Mom, Dad, can we stay with Goku?"
_ "Uh, dear, it seems like you're forgetting again that Goku already has his mother," Alexander said with a nervous smile.
_ "It doesn't matter, we can stay with Mrs. Gine too," Suno said with a smile.
_ Gine chuckled and said, "We appreciate your kind offer, but for now, my son and I have to go search for the Dragon Balls."
Suno became sad at Gine's words.
_ The mayor, with a smile, said to Goku and Gine, "In that case, how about you come live here after you finish searching for the Dragon Balls? We'd gladly provide you with a place to live." Then the mayor patted Goku on the head, saying, "And Goku would be more than welcome at our village school."
Gine began to seriously consider it, as she didn't like the idea of leaving the house she inherited from her adoptive father, Grandpa Gohan. But on the other hand, she saw that it would be good for her and Goku to live near people who love and appreciate them, so Goku could have friends his age and learn to socialize with other children, and so he could attend school and get an education.
_ "Cheer up, Mrs. Gine. It would be lovely to have Goku living with us! Oh, and you too, of course," Suno said with a smile.
_ "Well... Despite this cold weather, I must admit that the idea of living with such kind people as you sounds great, since Goku and I live alone without anyone's company in our house on Mount Paoz. I think it would be good for Goku to live close to other people, especially little Suno, who seems to care a lot about my son," Gine said with a smile while Suno blushed.
_ "Well, then it's decided," the mayor said with a smile.
_ "Great! Goku, you and I will live together! Isn't that exciting?" Suno said, happy and excited, while hugging the little Saiyan boy.
_ Goku, with a smile, said to his friend, "Well, I guess it will be fun for my mom and me to live with great friends like you and your parents."
_ "One question: Did you manage to find the famous Dragon Ball in the end?" Alexander asked.
_ "Well, actually no. My mom and I searched the entire tower and didn't find anything," Goku said.
_ Then Eighter said, "I have the Dragon Ball."
That statement from the android surprised everyone. Eighter then took out the Dragon Ball he had with him and placed it on the table. It was the Two-Star Dragon Ball.
_ "Incredible! It's the Two-Star Dragon Ball! So you had the Dragon Ball all this time?" Gine asked, astonished.
_ Eighter nodded and responded, "I found it and had to hide it because if General White found it, he would have ordered all his soldiers to kill everyone in the village."
That statement left everyone present stunned.
_ Goku, completely furious, said, "Those damn Red Ribbon Army bastards! They love killing innocent people to fulfill their evil plans. If my mom and I encounter them again, we'll finish them off no matter what, right, Mom?"
_ "That's right," Gine said, equally furious and indignant at the Red Ribbon Army.
_ The mayor said, "This is incredible, Eighter. Without a doubt, you are a hero! Please stay and live with me in my house."
_ "I'm sorry, but I can't stay," Eighter said with a sad tone.
_ "Why not, Eighter?" Gine asked, confused.
_ "I have a bomb installed inside my body, and if I stay here, I risk destroying the village," Eighter said sadly.
That revelation from Android 8 astonished everyone, but it reminded Goku and Gine of the words Ninja Murasaki said when he threatened to blow up Eighter. Everyone remained sad and thoughtful for a while until the mayor had an idea.
_ "I have it, I know someone who can help you, and it's Dr. Frappe," said the mayor.
_ "That's right, Dr. Frappe can help him," said Alexander.
_ "Who's Dr. Frappe?" asked Goku.
_ "He's the scientist of our village," replied the mayor.
_ "He doesn't like people; he lives alone in the mountains behind the village," said Sophia.
_ "The problem is that if Eighter goes, he won't be well received by Dr. Frappe," said Alexander.
_ "I can go with Eighter to Dr. Frappe's house. I know him, and he has always welcomed me into his home," said Suno.
_ "Dr. Frappe has always been kind to Suno, so there should be no problem for him to help Eighter if Suno goes with him," said Sophia.
_ "Well, in that case, I'll go with Suno and Eighter," said Goku.
_ "And I'll go with them too; you can never have too much adult protection," said Gine.
_ "Excellent, everything's arranged. Oh, by the way! Tomorrow night, I plan to organize a big party at my house in honor of the great heroes who saved our village, and I would like all of you to be there, especially Goku, Gine, and Eighter. There will be music for dancing and lots of food," said the mayor with a big smile.
_ "Wow, food? Can we go, Mom?" asked Goku, happy and excited.
_ "I don't see why not," said Gine with a smile.
_ "Perfect, then tomorrow morning we'll go to Dr. Frappe's," said Suno with a smile.
_ Sophia said to her daughter, "Suno, could you prepare some blankets for Goku, Gine, and Eighter?"
_ "Right away, Mom," said Suno, then she got up to fetch some blankets for Goku, Gine, and Eighter.
After dinner, Goku, Gine, and Eighter would sleep in Suno's room on some beds they placed on the floor.
_ Suno looked at the Dragon Balls Goku had with him and said, "Hey Goku, your Dragon Balls are really pretty."
_ "If it weren't for my mom wanting to gather all the Dragon Balls to make a wish, I would gladly give them to you," replied Goku.
_ "No, thanks, I don't want to keep them. My whole village would be in danger if I kept these Dragon Balls knowing the Red Ribbon Army is looking for them," said Suno.
_ "Oh, right," said Goku.
_ "By the way, Mrs. Gine, what is the wish you want to make?" asked Suno.
_ Gine, with a smile, a hand on her chest, and bright eyes, said, "Um... I can't say for now, but I'll just say it's a wish that's important to me."
_ Suno, with a smile, said, "I understand, and seeing your face and the way you say it, it looks like it must be a very beautiful and important wish for you."
_ "It is, Suno," said Gine with a smile. Then Gine asked Suno, "By the way, Suno, are you sure there won't be a problem with us sleeping in your room?"
_ "Don't worry, Mrs. Gine. Besides, it's a joy for me to share a roof with Goku," said Suno with a smile.
_ Eighter saw the Dragon Radar that Goku had with him and said, "Hey Goku, isn't that the Dragon Radar that General White wanted?"
_ "That's right," said Goku, taking the Dragon Radar. Goku tried to turn on the Dragon Radar, but he saw that something was wrong: "Huh? It can't be!"
_ "What's wrong, Goku?" asked Gine, somewhat alarmed.
_ "The Dragon Radar isn't working," said Goku, alarmed.
_ "What? It must have been damaged during the battles we had in Muscle Tower," said Gine.
Eighter offered to fix the Dragon Radar since he had knowledge of electronics, but unfortunately, its operation was too complex for him, and he couldn't repair it.
_ "Oh well, we'll have to take it to Bulma to get it fixed," said Goku.
_ "To Bulma? Oh, yes! She's that friend of yours I met at the World Martial Arts Tournament," said Suno.
_ "But I don't remember where she lives," said Goku.
_ "As far as I remember, she said she lived in West City," said Gine.
_ "Well, we'll have to go there the day after tomorrow after helping Eighter and after the party," said Goku.
_ Gine nodded, saying, "You're right, Goku."
Suno felt sad that Goku had to leave soon, but she understood that he had to do it.
_ Goku put away the Dragon Radar and the Two-Star Dragon Ball he had with him in his bag and started looking around Suno's room. He saw the number of toys around, especially a small collection of dolls Suno had, and Goku said, "Wow, Suno, you have some really nice toys."
_ "Thanks. Although I had a very nice doll that was destroyed when a Red Ribbon Army vehicle ran over it," said Suno, somewhat sad.
_ "I'm so sorry," said Goku, feeling sad for his friend.
_ "It's alright, it doesn't matter. The important thing is that at least this nightmare is over, and my whole village is safe thanks to you and your mom," said Suno with a smile.
_ Goku smiled back at Suno and saw that the ceiling of Suno's room had a replica of the Solar System, and the ceiling was painted black with stars drawn on it. Goku asked, "Do you like things related to outer space?"
_ "Yes, I really like everything related to outer space and looking at the stars and planets. Personally, I would like to travel to outer space someday," said Suno with a smile.
_ "Oh! That sounds fascinating," said Goku with a smile.
_ Gine smiled at the cute interaction between her son and Suno, then saw Eighter lying down on the bed they prepared for him. Eighter said happily, "Ah, what happiness, this is the first time I've slept in a bed."
_ "Aww, poor thing, you must have suffered a lot in that cage," said Gine, feeling sorry for Android 8.
_ "Well, yes, but now I'm happy with the new friends I've made," said Eighter with a smile.
Goku, Gine, and Suno smiled at Android 8's words.
_ Gine, with a smile, said to Goku and Suno, "Alright, kids, it's time to sleep, so I'm going to turn off the light."
_ Goku nodded, saying, "Yes, Mom." Then Goku said to his friend, "See you tomorrow, Suno."
_ Suno, with a smile, said, "See you tomorrow, Goku."
Gine turned off the light in Suno's room and helped Goku and Suno get into their respective beds. While Suno was asleep, she had a beautiful dream where she was flying in a spaceship with Goku. It was such a lovely dream for her that she didn't want to wake up. The next morning, Goku, Gine, Suno, and Eighter had breakfast, dressed warmly, and left Suno's house to go to Dr. Frappe's. As they left, they saw some villagers from Jingle Village who wanted to meet the heroes who had saved their village from the Red Ribbon Army. As soon as Goku, Gine, and Eighter stepped out of Suno's house, they were greeted and congratulated by the villagers. Goku and Gine felt a bit embarrassed by all the congratulations.
_ "If I had my Flying Nimbus, we would definitely get to Dr. Frappe's house quickly," said Goku, feeling a bit sad.
_ "Did you say Flying Nimbus? I've heard a legend about it; they say it can only be ridden by someone with a pure heart," said an elderly villager.
_ "That's true," said the mayor.
_ The villager then said to Goku, "Why don't you try calling it?"
_ "Alright, I'll try. Come out, Flying Nimbus!" said Goku.
To everyone's amazement, the Flying Nimbus appeared, and Goku, happy and excited, embraced the Flying Nimbus.
_ "Goku, what is that?" asked Suno, astonished.
_ "It's my Flying Nimbus, which I use as transportation," said Goku.
_ "You ride on that thing?" asked Suno, still amazed.
_ "The Flying Nimbus can only be ridden by people with a pure heart. If you like, you can ride my Flying Nimbus since you are a good person, Suno," said Goku with a smile.
_ Suno looked a bit hesitant at the Flying Nimbus, but she gained confidence and said, "Alright, I'll do it."
_ "Be careful, dear," said Sophia.
_ "Don't worry. Suno is a good girl, and I have no doubt she can ride the Flying Nimbus," said Gine with a smile.
_ "Relax, dear. Gine is right, as our daughter is a good and kind-hearted girl," said Alexander.
Suno got on the Flying Nimbus and, as expected, was able to stay on it just like Goku.
_ "See? What did I tell you?" said Goku with a smile.
_ "It's amazing, it's like I'm floating in the air," said Suno, happy and excited.
_ "That's my daughter," said Alexander, feeling happy and proud.
_ "That's clear proof that our daughter has a good heart," said Sophia, equally happy and proud.
_ "Great! Goku and Suno will go on the Flying Nimbus, and I'll take Eighter to Dr. Frappe's house," said Gine.
_ "What? You plan to take Eighter?" asked the mayor, astonished.
_ Then Goku said, "That's right. My mom is very strong and knows how to fly."
Everyone present was amazed to hear that Gine could fly.
_ "That's right, just watch. Ready, Eighter?" said Gine with a smile.
_ "Huh? Eeeh, yes," said Eighter, nervous.
Gine then began to float and started flying while carrying Eighter, to the amazement of the Jingle Village villagers, while poor Eighter covered his eyes, completely scared.
_ "Whatever you do, don't look down," said Gine with a smile.
_ "Alright! We'll be back later. Suno, hold on tight to me," said Goku with a smile.
_ "Huh? Yes," said Suno, somewhat nervous as she held onto the Saiyan boy's back.
_ "Be very careful, dear," said Sophia, somewhat worried.
_ "Don't worry, I'll take good care of Suno and make sure she's alright. Alright, let's go!" said Gine with a smile.
Then Goku and Suno took off on the Flying Nimbus towards Dr. Frappe's house, followed by Gine, who was flying while carrying Eighter. Suno initially felt a bit scared flying at such a height, but Goku reassured her, saying he wouldn't let anything bad happen. Suno then clung even more tightly to Goku's back.
_ Suno, feeling happy and slightly blushing, thought to herself, "How warm Goku's back feels." While Gine and Eighter watched happily at the beautiful scene, they only smiled at each other. Suno then turned her gaze to Gine and asked, "Excuse me, Mrs. Gine, how is it that you can fly?"
_ "It's simply through practice and training. Later on, Goku will also learn to fly once he becomes stronger," said Gine with a smile.
_ "Wow! Goku, will you really be able to fly too?" asked Suno, astonished.
_ "Yes," said Goku.
_ Suno, excited, said, "Goku, you really are full of surprises."
Goku, Suno, Gine, and Eighter arrived at Dr. Frappe's house and were surprised to find that Dr. Frappe had been kidnapped by the Purple Sergeant, who had survived the destruction of Muscle Tower and even attempted to kidnap Suno. But Goku and Gine intervened quickly. Goku saved Suno from the evil hands of the Purple Ninja, and then Gine dealt with him once and for all. Dr. Frappe removed the bomb from Eighter's body, and it was revealed that Dr. Frappe had helped create Eighter following the plans and instructions of a mysterious Red Ribbon scientist.
_ Gine, astonished, asked Dr. Frappe, "Let me get this straight. Are you saying that you helped a Red Ribbon scientist create Eighter?"
_ Dr. Frappe nodded, saying, "That's right."
_ Goku, feeling curious, asked, "And who was this scientist?"
_ Dr. Frappe responded, "It was Dr. Gero"
_ Gine, confused, asked, "Dr. Gero? Who is he?"
_ Dr. Frappe answered, "He is one of the smartest and most brilliant scientists in the world, but unfortunately, he is a wicked and twisted man who enjoys conducting horrible and disturbing experiments, even on humans, in order to create powerful weapons for the Red Ribbon Army. That's why I decided to stop working with him."
_ Suno, amazed, commented, "From the way you describe him, he sounds like a mad scientist straight out of a horror movie."
_ Gine responded, "And that's why he lives alone in these mountains, right?"
_ Dr. Frappe nodded, saying, "That's right. If the Red Ribbon Army sees me, they might kill me, which is why I stay away from the village. I don't want to put anyone in danger."
_ Gine, with a smile, said, "Don't worry. My son and I have already defeated Colonel Silver and General White, and once we destroy the Red Ribbon Army, you won't have to live alone in these mountains anymore."
_ Dr. Frappe, astonished, said, "You defeated Colonel Silver and General White? So the news I heard about you and your son is true. In that case, I have no doubt that you can defeat the Red Ribbon Army, but I warn you: When you face the Red Ribbon Army, be very careful with Dr. Gero, as he is not a man to be underestimated."
_ Gine, with a smile, said, "Don't worry. I will."
_ Goku took out the Dragon Radar and showed it, saying, "One question: Do you think you can repair this Dragon Radar?"
_ Dr. Frappe took the Dragon Radar and said, "Let me take a look." Dr. Frappe examined the device and returned it to Goku, saying, "Sorry, kid, but unfortunately, I don't understand how this device works."
_ Goku, feeling sad, said, "Oh, I see... Well, thanks anyway."
Afterward, Goku, Gine, Suno, and Eighter thanked Dr. Frappe for his help and set off on their way back to Jingle Village.
_ While Goku and Suno were flying on the Flying Nimbus, Suno said to Goku, "Goku, thank you for saving me from that evil villain. You're my hero." Suno then gave Goku a kiss on the cheek as a thank you.
_ "You're welcome, Suno, but I'm not a hero. I just did what any friend would do," said Goku with a smile.
_ Suno let out a light laugh and said, "Oh, Goku! I like your humility."
_ Gine and Eighter watched the scene happily, and Eighter said, "It seems like something more than friendship is developing between Suno and your son."
_ Gine, with a smile, nodded and said, "It's clear that Suno has a romantic interest in my son, but my son is still too innocent and distracted to understand these things. However, I hope that in the future, Goku will reciprocate Suno's feelings properly, as from what I see in Suno, she would be the ideal girl to be my son's future wife. But I am aware that they are still children, and therefore these things need to take their proper time."
_ Eighter, with a smile, said, "I couldn't agree with you more, Gine."
_ Then Suno, with a smile and slightly blushing, said to Goku, "Hey, Goku, I want to tell you about a dream I had last night. It was one where I dreamed about you."
_ "Huh? What do you mean you dreamed about me?" asked Goku, slightly confused.
_ Suno, happy and slightly blushing, said to Goku, "Well, last night, I dreamed that you and I were traveling together in a spaceship on an exciting adventure through outer space. Can you imagine if you and I traveled together to space in the future on an exciting adventure?"
_ "Well, it sounds fun," said Goku with a smile.
Gine heard the conversation between Goku and Suno and wondered if it would be possible for her son and Suno to travel together to outer space in the future. Gine acknowledged that such a possibility didn't sound too far-fetched, considering that she and her son came from another planet and now Goku and Suno were flying on a Flying Nimbus.
_ Suno saw a frozen lake and said, "Hey, Goku, how about we stop here for a while?"
_ Goku, confused, asked, "Huh? Why?"
_ "Look, this frozen lake is a great place for ice skating. Would you like me to teach you how to ice skate?" asked Suno.
_ "Let's go! It will be fun," said Suno.
_ Gine, listening to them, said, "That sounds fine, but only for a little while since we need to get back to your house quickly, and I don't want your parents to worry."
_ Suno nodded, saying, "Okay."
Then Goku, Suno, Gine, and Eighter descended onto the frozen lake, and Suno took out 2 pairs of snow skates and lent one pair to Goku to use.
_ "What strange footwear," said Goku, puzzled.
_ "They are for ice skating. I'll show you," said Suno.
Suno then put on the skates and performed some pirouettes on the ice, which amazed Goku, Gine, and Eighter.
_ "Wow! That looks fun, I want to try it too," said Goku, excited.
_ "Be careful, dear. Suno was able to do it because she has experience, but you're a beginner," said Gine, somewhat concerned.
_ Goku, with a smile, said, "Don't worry, Mom. I know I can do it."
But as soon as Goku stood on the ice, he ended up slipping and falling easily.
_ Suno, feeling a bit worried, went to her friend and asked, "Goku, are you okay? Let me help you."
Suno helped her friend to his feet.
_ "This ice is really slippery and cold," said Goku.
_ Suno, with a smile, took Goku's hand and said, "Let me teach you how to skate."
_ Goku nodded, saying, "Okay."
Then, little by little, Goku began to skate on the ice with Suno's help. Suno patiently taught her Saiyan friend how to ice skate, while Gine and Eighter happily watched as Goku and Suno skated hand in hand, like a couple. Thanks to Suno's assistance, Goku quickly learned how to ice skate.
_ "Wow, Suno, this is so much fun! Thank you for teaching me how to skate!" said Goku, happy and excited.
_ Suno, with a smile, said to Goku, "You're welcome, Goku. I knew you'd like it."
After a while, as much as Gine enjoyed seeing her son and Suno having fun on the ice, she told them it was time to head back. Goku returned the skates that Suno had lent him, and they all went back to Jingle Village, where Suno's parents and the mayor greeted them with great joy and rejoiced to learn that Eighter was finally free of the bomb.
_ Soon after, Gine went outside to get some fresh air and relax. She saw Suno making a snowman with a head shaped like Goku's hair, and Suno had tied a stick to the snowman's back, clearly mimicking the Power Pole that Goku always carried. Gine quickly realized that Suno was making a snowman resembling her son and approached Suno, saying with a playful smile, "That snowman you're making is very nice, though... I don't know why, but it seems strangely familiar."
_ Suno quickly realized that Gine had noticed her feelings for her son, and feeling somewhat embarrassed, Suno said to Gine, "Please, Mrs. Gine, don't tell Goku."
_ Gine, with a smile and a wink, said to Suno, "Don't worry, your secret is safe with me. And do you want me to tell you something else? I think it would be nice if you and Goku ended up together in the future."
_ Suno blushed at the Saiyan mother's words and, with a smile, said to Gine, "Th-thank you very much, Mrs. Gine."
Gine simply smiled and left Suno alone to continue making her Goku-shaped snowman, while Suno felt happy inside knowing that the mother of the boy she liked supported her wish for them to be together in the future. Later that night, everyone gathered at the mayor's house for the party that the mayor had organized. The first thing Goku did when he arrived at the party was to start devouring the food the mayor had provided for the guests. But there was no problem, as the mayor knew about Goku's and Gine's hearty appetites and had prepared plenty of food for them and the other guests. The party also had music, and the villagers were having fun dancing. Suno saw Goku eating and approached him.
_ Suno, with a smile, said to Goku, "Goku, parties are not just for eating; they're also for dancing."
_ Goku, somewhat confused, said, "Dancing? What is dancing? Is it some kind of food?"
_ "You don't know what dancing is?" asked Suno, astonished.
Suno patiently explained to Goku that dancing involves moving the body to the rhythm and beat of music, and it typically involves a man and a woman doing it together.
_ "Ah! So that's dancing. It sounds fun," said Goku with a smile.
_ Suno, with a smile, said to Goku, "And it really is. How about coming to dance with me?"
_ "But I don't know how to dance. What if I do it wrong?" said Goku, feeling a bit nervous.
_ Suno, with a smile and a wink, said to Goku, "Nonsense! Come on! I'm sure you'll like it."
Then Suno took Goku by the hand and led him to where the other guests were dancing.
Goku and Suno started dancing to the typical music of the village. Goku and Suno enjoyed dancing with the other villagers while Gine, Suno's parents, and Eighter watched them happily from a corner of the party.
_ Sofia, with a smile, said to Gine, "It seems that our daughter really likes your son."
_ "That's right," said Gine with a smile.
_ "I must say, our daughter looks very happy whenever she is with Goku," said Alexander, feeling happy.
_ Sofia, with a smile, said, "Maybe this might sound imprudent, but I think it would be lovely if your son and our daughter fell in love and got married in the future."
_ Alexander said, "I think the same. Goku is a good-hearted boy, and I believe he would make a great husband for our daughter in the future. Since she looks happy with him, as her father, her happiness is always the most important thing to me."
_ Gine smiled and said, "Honestly, I agree with both of you. I've always wanted Goku to have a wife who understands him deeply and loves and accepts him as he is, and it seems Suno is the ideal girl for my son."
_ Sofia asked Gine, "But do you think your son feels the same way about our daughter?"
_ "Goku is very innocent and doesn't quite understand romance and being in love yet, but my motherly intuition tells me that in the future, Goku will reciprocate Suno's feelings properly," said Gine.
_ "I would like Goku and Suno to end up together. I enjoy seeing them together. Gine, I hope you and Goku will soon decide to come live here in the village, and that Goku and Suno will get married in the future," said Eighter with a smile.
_ "I feel the same way, Eighter," said Gine with a smile at the Android Number 8.
_ "By the way, can I ask you a question?" asked Alexander.
_ "Go ahead," said Gine.
_ "Could you tell us about Goku's father?" asked Alexander.
Gine became somewhat sad at this question, as it always pained her to talk about her late husband Bardock. Alexander, Sofia, and Eighter immediately noticed the Saiyan mother's sadness.
_ Alexander, feeling somewhat sad, said, "Oh! I'm sorry. I didn't mean to make you sad with my question."
_ Gine, with a sad smile, said, "It's okay. Well, Goku's father died many years ago when Goku was only 3 years old. His name was Bardock, and he was a great and powerful warrior, but he died fighting a powerful enemy."
_ "Oh! I'm so sorry," said Sofia, feeling sad, as she placed a hand on the Saiyan mother's shoulder.
_ Gine said, "Thank you." She looked up at Goku, who was having fun dancing with Suno, and said, "Goku physically resembles his father a lot; I would even dare to say he looks just like him. But unlike Goku, my late husband was a cold, serious, and proud man. However, he always cared about my well-being and that of our son."
Gine didn't want to tell Suno's parents about her Saiyan origins and the fact that they were aliens from an extinct warrior race whose planet was destroyed by an intergalactic tyrant, as she feared it might cause them to reject and abhor her and her son. But what Gine didn't realize was that Suno's parents already had their suspicions that she and Goku were not human, but they didn't pay much attention to it since what mattered most to them was that they were good people and the heroes who had saved their village from the Red Ribbon Army.
_ "Oh, so Goku's father was a powerful warrior. Incredible!" said Alexander, somewhat astonished.
_ "Yes, indeed. Both Goku and his father come from a great lineage of powerful warriors that Goku must continue," said Gine with a smile.
_ "That sounds good to me," said Alexander.
_ "If Goku marries Suno, I would be very happy to have grandchildren as strong and powerful as you and your son. After all we've suffered with the Red Ribbon Army, what our village and the world need most are strong and powerful warriors to defend us from evil people like the Red Ribbon Army," said Sofia with a smile.
_ Gine smiled and said, "I'm glad you think that way. I think the same."
_ Sofia asked Gine, "Tell me, why are you searching for the Dragon Balls?"
_ Gine sighed and said, "Because, as I've heard, Shenron can revive the dead, and I'm gathering the Dragon Balls in the hope of bringing back my late husband Bardock, since Goku deserves to have his father by his side."
That declaration from Gine surprised Suno's parents and Eighter.
_ "So, this Shenron from the Dragon Balls can revive the dead? Fascinating!" said Alexander, astonished.
_ "Yes, but please, don't tell my son. I want it to be a surprise for him," said Gine.
Suno's parents and Eighter nodded and promised not to tell Goku anything.
Goku and Suno had fun dancing for most of the party. Goku enjoyed dancing with Suno so much that he forgot about the food for a while, although Goku and Suno took breaks to eat now and then.
_ Suno saw through the window that the night sky was filled with stars and got an idea: "Hey, Goku, how about we go for a ride on a moose?"
_ "A ride on a moose?" asked Goku, somewhat confused.
_ "It'll be fun," said Suno with a smile, winking at Goku. Then Suno ran to her parents and asked, "Dad, Mom, can I take Goku for a ride on a moose?"
_ "Sure, dear, but don't go too far. Remember, we'll need to head back home soon," said Alexander.
_ "You don't mind, do you, Mrs. Gine?" asked Suno.
_ "Of course not, Suno. Have fun with my son," said Gine with a smile.
_ Suno took Goku by the hand and led him outside to a stable filled with moose, which the villagers of Jingle Village used to pull sleds through the snow.
_ "Wow, is this a moose?" asked Goku, amazed by the huge animal with two large antlers.
_ "Yes, it is," said Suno with a smile.
Suno borrowed a moose, and both Goku and Suno mounted it and started taking a ride around Jingle Village.
_ "Hey Suno, what's the purpose of this ride?" Goku asked, somewhat confused.
_ Suno pointed to the sky and said to Goku, "Look!"
_ Goku looked up at the sky and was amazed to see that the star-filled night sky began to display various colored lights. He was fascinated by the spectacle and said, "Wow! What are those lights in the sky?"
_ "They are the Northern Lights, better known as the Aurora Borealis," said Suno with a smile.
_ "I've seen the starry sky many times on Mount Paoz and in the places I've traveled, but I've never seen anything like this before," said Goku, happy and fascinated.
_ "The Aurora Borealis can only be seen in the polar regions of the world," said Suno with a smile.
_ "It's really fascinating. Thank you for showing me this, Suno," said Goku with a smile.
_ "I knew you'd like it," said Suno, feeling happy and blushing. Then the little red-haired girl leaned closer to Goku, rested her head on the Saiyan boy's shoulder.
_ Goku, somewhat confused by Suno's action, asked, "Hey Suno, are you cold? Why are you so close to me?"
_ "Goku... Just enjoy the moment," said Suno with a smile.
_ Goku nodded with a smile and said, "Alright."
As the moose they were riding walked around Jingle Village, Goku and Suno, with Suno cuddled up against his shoulder, enjoyed the ride, taking in the Aurora Borealis. Meanwhile, at the mayor's house, Gine also went outside to enjoy the Aurora Borealis with Eighter and Suno's parents, who were also admiring the Northern Lights.
_ Gine thought to herself with a sad smile, "Earth is truly a beautiful and wondrous planet. I wish Bardock and Raditz were here with me to enjoy this beautiful moment. I wish Bardock were here to see our son Goku grow up. Bardock... how I miss you."
Soon after, the party at the mayor's house lasted until after midnight, and then everyone went back to their respective homes. Goku and Gine would stay one more night at Suno and her parents' house before setting off for West City the next morning to find Bulma to repair the Dragon Radar. The joy Suno felt after having fun dancing with Goku at the party and seeing the Aurora Borealis with him faded when she realized her beloved friend would soon have to say goodbye. Goku, Gine, and Eighter slept on the floor of Suno's room while Suno, feeling utterly sad, lay in bed watching Goku sleep, knowing that soon he would have to leave. But she was aware that he had an important mission to fulfill, which was to find the Dragon Balls and stop the Red Ribbon Army with Gine. For now, Suno could only hold on to the hope of seeing her beloved friend again soon.
The next morning
Suno woke up early and helped her mother prepare breakfast and a big snack for both Goku and Gine, while the Saiyans bathed and prepared for the long journey to West City. Then Goku and Gine sat at the table with Suno, her parents, and Eighter.
_ Goku was looking at Suno, who was also having breakfast, and was thinking about the pleasant moments he had spent with Suno the previous night. In his mind, he thought, "Suno is so kind to me. It's clear she's a great friend who cares about me. I'd like to repay her, even with a small gesture, for all the kindness and affection she has shown me, but I don't know how." Then Goku began to think carefully about something Suno would like and that he could give her as a token of gratitude for all the good times they had together, both the bad times after the 21st World Martial Arts Tournament and the wonderful moments they shared the day before. Goku remembered when Suno told him how a Red Ribbon Army military vehicle had destroyed her favorite doll, and that's when Goku knew what he had to do.
_ Gine noticed that Goku was very thoughtful during breakfast, which seemed unusual since Goku normally forgets everything else when he eats and only focuses on his food. So Gine asked her son, "Goku, is something wrong?"
_ "Huh? No, Mom, I was just thinking," said Goku with a smile before finishing his breakfast.
_ Gine asked her son, "Goku, have you packed your things? We need to leave soon."
_ "Yes, Mom, but there's one last thing I want to do before we go. Wait for me, I'll be right back," said Goku, running outside at full speed.
_ "Wait, Goku! Where are you going?" asked Gine, somewhat confused.
_ "Where could Goku be going?" asked Suno, puzzled.
Eighter and Suno's parents were also intrigued by Goku's sudden behavior. After about 10 minutes, Gine was waiting outside Suno's house with Suno, Alexander, Sofia, Eighter, the Mayor, and several village residents who had gathered to bid farewell to their heroes. Goku returned quickly, holding a gift he had made for Suno.
_ "Goku, where did you go?" asked Gine.
_ Goku, with a smile, said, "Sorry, Mom, but I had to run to find a good piece of wood to make this."
Then Goku showed a wooden doll he had quickly carved with his own hands using his martial arts techniques.
_ Suno, amazed and happy, said, "Did you make that beautiful wooden doll in such a short time?"
_ Goku, smiling, replied, "Hehe, do you like it? I made it for you, Suno."
_ Suno, surprised, replied, "Eh? For me?"
_ Goku nodded with a smile, saying, "Yes, that's right. Do you like it? You told me that a Red Ribbon Army vehicle destroyed your favorite doll, so I thought I'd make you another doll as a token of my gratitude for how kind you are to me. It might not be as lovely as the doll you lost, but I hope you like it anyway."
_ Suno stared at Goku with teary eyes for a while, while also admiring the wooden doll he had made for her. The doll Goku made was pretty, but not as much as the one she lost, but it didn't matter because it was made by the boy she liked and was given to her as a gift. To Suno, that doll was the most beautiful of all. Suno, with a smile, received the wooden doll from Goku's hands and hugged it, then gave Goku a big hug, saying, "Thank you so much, Goku. Now the doll you gave me will be my new favorite doll."
_ Goku, smiling and rubbing the back of his head, said, "Hehe, I'm glad you like it."
Gine, Suno's parents, Eighter, the Mayor, and everyone else present watched happily at the beautiful and tender scene between Goku and Suno.
_ Gine with a smile said to her son, "What you did was really nice and sweet, Goku. I'm proud of you," while Goku rubbed his nose with a finger and laughed, feeling a bit embarrassed.
_ Suno hugged Goku and gave him a kiss on the cheek, saying to Goku, "From now on, I will always cherish this doll with me."
Suno smiled, happy and blushing, while hugging the doll made by her beloved friend.
_ Goku, with a smile, said to Suno, "Thank you very much, Suno. I'm really glad you liked it."
_ Gine, Suno's parents, and Eighter simply smiled at the tender scene, and Gine said to Suno's parents, "Well, it's time to say goodbye. Thank you very much for your kind hospitality."
_ Sofia, with a smile, said, "No, thank you and your son for freeing our village from the Red Ribbon Army. It's the least we could do for you. The doors of our home will always be open to you."
_ "That's right," said Alexander with a smile.
_ The Mayor said to Gine, "As Mayor, from now on, due to your heroic deeds, you, your son Goku, and Eighter will be declared residents of our village, and both you and Goku will always have a place among us. We hope you return soon."
_ Gine, with a smile, said, "Thank you, Mr. Mayor. We will."
_ Suno started to sob and approached Goku to give him a tight hug, saying, "Goku, promise me you'll always be careful and that you'll come back soon, safe and sound."
_ Goku returned the hug to Suno and said, "Don't worry, I will."
_ Suno, serious, separated from Goku and said, "And you better always listen to your mom and not do anything reckless."
_ Goku swallowed nervously at Suno's seriousness and said, "Don't worry, Suno, I will."
At that moment, Goku realized that despite how kind and sweet Suno was, she also had a strong character and it was wise never to make her angry. Meanwhile, Gine, Suno's parents, Eighter, and everyone else shared a light laugh.
_ Gine, with a smile, said to the red-haired girl, "Suno, thank you for helping me correct Goku, and don't worry. I'll take very good care of Goku, and you take care of yourself too."
_ Suno nodded with a smile, saying, "Yes, Mrs. Gine, I will, and please take good care of Goku."
_ Gine, smiling, patted Suno on the head, saying, "Don't worry, Suno, I will."
Then Goku and Gine said goodbye to Suno's parents, who thanked Goku for the lovely gesture towards their daughter. Gine and Suno's parents exchanged phone numbers to keep in touch and so that Goku and Suno could stay connected. Gine was fortunate that Bulma had given her a cellphone during the Martial Arts Tournament so they could always stay in contact. Then Goku and Gine boarded the Flying Nimbus to head to West City. As the Flying Nimbus ascended, Goku and Gine waved goodbye to all the residents of Jingle Village.
_ "Goodbye, everyone," said Goku.
_ "Goodbye, Goku! Please take care!" shouted Suno with tears in her eyes.
_ "Goodbye, Suno. Don't worry, we'll see each other again," shouted Goku, waving to his friend.
_ "Goodbye, Goku! Goodbye, Gine! Please take care and come back soon," shouted Eighter with tears in his eyes.
_ "Goodbye, Eighter!" shouted Goku and Gine.
_ Goku and Gine said goodbye to all the villagers of Jingle Village, and then Goku said, "Alright, Flying Nimbus, take us to West City."
Then the Flying Nimbus flew towards West City while Suno, with one hand on her chest and the other hugging the wooden doll Goku had given her, looked up at the sky, feeling very sad as she saw Goku and Gine quickly disappear from view.
_ Sofia approached her daughter and said, "Don't be sad, dear. Rest assured, you'll see Goku again."
_ Alexander said, "Your mother is right, Suno."
Suno smiled and nodded at her parents' words.
_ Goku said to Gine, "You know, Mom? I really enjoyed spending time with Suno. I hope we get to see her again soon."
_ Gine, with a smile, patted her son's head, saying, "Don't worry, dear. I'm sure we will."
That night in Jingle Village, Suno would sleep happily hugging the wooden doll Goku had given her, with the hope of seeing him again soon.
To be continued...
