A New Life and a New Adventure

Seven years had passed since Gine and Goku arrived on Earth, and both Gine and Goku had perfectly adapted to the lifestyle of an average Earthling. Throughout those years, Goku and Gine had been living a happy family life alongside Gohan, and they had not encountered any problems, except for one occasion shortly after Goku and Gine arrived on Earth when Goku had a terrible accident. He fell into an abyss, and as a result, Goku suffered a severe blow to the head because he was a restless child.

Flashback

_"Will Gohan be okay?" Gine asked, feeling distressed and fearful of losing her son Goku, who was all she had left in life.

_"Don't worry, Gine," young Goku will survive, although he will need to rest for many days," Gohan said after bandaging Goku's head. "Although I must say, I'm surprised he's still alive after that tremendous fall he had, as a normal human would have easily died from it. Apparently, Goku's Saiyan blood makes him have a much stronger and more resistant body than that of an average human."

Days later, Goku woke up, just as Gohan had said, much to Gine's relief. But Gine was greatly surprised when she saw that Goku's behavior had changed. He went from being a restless and somewhat aggressive child to being a calm and kind-hearted child.

_"It seems that the blow Goku received took away his restless and aggressive attitude," Gohan said to Gine.

_"I think that Goku's restless and aggressive attitude was because he missed his father, and he wanted his father back. I believe that now Goku is calm because that blow to the head made him lose the few memories he had of his father," Gine said, somewhat thoughtfully.

_"Oh! I understand, that explains a lot," Gohan replied.

And since then, young Goku became a calm child and lived happily with his mother Gine and his grandfather Gohan on Mount Paozu.

End of Flashback

Gine had kept both her Saiyan armor and Goku's in a wardrobe she had in a room on the second floor that Gohan had built for both her and her son. Now, Gine wore an oriental dress in green with sleeves and a pink belt, along with green boots, while Goku wore a blue gi with a white belt and red wristbands. So far, Gine had not told Goku about their Saiyan origins and about his father Bardock, as she wanted to wait until Goku was older and a little more mature to tell him the truth. During all these years, Gine had been trained by Gohan in martial arts and learned to sense Ki. In turn, Gine told Gohan everything about the Saiyans and how they transformed into giant and ferocious apes known as Oozaru every time they saw the full moon. Therefore, both Gine and Gohan warned Goku never to look at the full moon, as Gine told her son that every full moon night, a ferocious monster capable of causing tremendous destruction emerged. One day, Gine was training wearing a blue gi like Goku's under Gohan's watchful supervision.

_"Gohan said to Gine, "Very well, Gine, now I want you to start running a hundred laps. Remember, you must not fly."

_"Alright, Papa Gohan," Gine replied with a smile.

Gine started running, but Gohan put his hand on his forehead, lamenting, and said, "This girl forgot to stretch again."

Just as Gine was running, Goku appeared running beside her, teasing his mom with a smirk, "Bet you can't catch me, Mom." Then Goku left his mom behind. Gine, with a challenging smile, said to her son, "Oh! Do you think so? Well, you'll see." Then Gine, who had a much better physical condition than her son, accelerated her speed and managed to catch Goku to tickle him.

_"Tickles," Gine said with a smile.

_"Enough, Mom! You win!" Goku said while laughing from his mom's tickles.

Then Gohan appeared with a smile, saying, "Haha, Goku! You still have a long way to go to surpass your mom's speed, and for that, you must train much more."

_"Yes, Grandpa, but one of these days, I'm sure I'll defeat my mom in a race. You'll see," young Goku said with a big smile!

_"I'm sure you will, my boy," Gohan said with a smile, and then Gohan said to the Saiyan mother, "Alright, Gine, let's continue with your training, and as for you, Goku, I want you to do a thousand push-ups if you want to improve your physical condition."

_"Yes, Papa Gohan," Gine said happily.

_"Right away, Grandpa," Goku said excitedly as he raised his fist in the air.

Those days when Goku and Gine lived with Gohan were happy, and it could be said that they lacked nothing since they were happy with what little they had, and what least was missing was the love and appreciation between the three. Although sometimes in the early hours of the morning, Gine used to dream of the happy days she lived with her late husband Bardock and also dreamed of her missing son Raditz, and then Gine would wake up silently crying. But it turned out that since Goku slept in the same room as her, on one occasion, he woke up and seeing his mom crying, he got up, and Goku, feeling sad for his mom, asked her, saying, "Mom, what's wrong? Why are you crying?"

_Gine, surprised to see that her son had woken up and caught her crying, dried her tears, and simply said with a smile, "It's nothing, son, go back to sleep."

_ "Alright Mom, if you say so..." said Goku, feeling a bit sad.

Gine was aware that her son Goku was very innocent and somewhat naive, but he wasn't so naive that he didn't notice something was affecting her. However, Gine still didn't want to tell her son the truth behind her pain because she considered Goku still a child, too young to understand the sadness caused by Bardock's death and Raditz's disappearance.

The next morning, Gine told Gohan how sometimes she would dream of her late husband Bardock and her missing son Raditz in the early hours, and how after those dreams, she would wake up crying. She even mentioned that the previous night, her son Goku had caught her crying.

_ Feeling deeply sad for Gine, Gohan said, "Oh my dear, I know you still carry that pain in your heart after all these years because of the terrible losses you've suffered, but you have to remember that you are now living happy moments with Goku. Therefore, you must not let that sadness overshadow the happiness you have now."

At that moment, Goku appeared with a beautiful flower crown he had made and said to Gine, "Mom, I made this pretty flower crown for you so you won't be sad anymore."

Gine blushed, and with a smile, holding back her tears, she hugged her son and let him put the beautiful flower crown he had made on her.

_ "Do you see, Gine?" said Gohan with a big smile at Goku's sweet gesture towards Gine.

_ "Thank you so much, my sweet child. You are my greatest joy," said Gine, kissing her son on the cheek.

2 Years Later

Goku and Gine stood in front of a tomb, mourning a terrible loss.

_"Mom, what happened to Grandpa? Was it that monster?" Goku said, tears streaming down his face.

Gine was also crying due to the terrible loss of her adoptive father, as the night before, Goku had looked at the full moon and transformed into an Ōzaru, causing a great disaster. Gohan managed to save Gine's life, who was caught in Goku's hands, but he ended up being killed by his adoptive grandson. However, for obvious reasons, Gine was unable to tell her son the truth. Gine hadn't felt such great pain since she lost her husband Bardock and her eldest son Raditz, so she decided to console her son.

_"Goku, don't cry, we'll see him again someday. In the meantime, he'll always live here," Gine said with a smile, pointing to Goku's heart.

_"Sniff sniff sniff. I miss him so much," Goku said, tears rolling down his cheeks.

_"Me too, son. He was like a father to me. But don't be sad, as Grandpa Gohan wouldn't want to see you like this," Gine said, trying to comfort her son.

Then Gine took an orange sphere with 4 red stars out of her bag and gave it to Goku.

_"Here! It's Grandpa Gohan's sphere. Remember, he gave it to you so you could always remember him wherever you are," Gine said with a smile to her son.

_"I'll always treasure it," Goku said, embracing the sphere left by his grandfather.

_"Goku, you and I have to honor and follow the teachings that Grandpa Gohan left us and continue training to become stronger. Okay? So cheer up, because Grandpa Gohan always likes to see you smile," Gine said with a smile.

Goku smiled and replied, "Okay, Mom, I will."

From then on, Gine decided to name her son Son Goku in honor of Son Gohan, and Goku and Gine would be the heirs of Son Gohan because Son Gohan had adopted Gine as his daughter and Goku as his grandson.

2 months later

Goku and Gine got used to living without Grandpa Son Gohan, although the sadness of his departure and absence still lingered. However, they were aware that they had to be strong and move forward with their lives because that's what Grandpa Son Gohan would have wanted. One day, Goku left his house to catch a big fish in the lake with his mother. When they reached the lake, both Goku and Gine took off their clothes to dive in. Goku was naked, while Gine was in a swimsuit.

Gine lightly slapped herself in annoyance and told her son, "Goku, I told you to wear your swimsuit."

Goku laughed and said, "Mom, but it's better to dive in without any clothes so they don't get wet, don't you think?"

Gine lamented and shook her head slightly, saying, "Oh Goku, what am I going to do with you? Anyway, what does it matter? Let's go catch our lunch."

Then Goku and Gine dove into the lake and managed to catch a huge fish big enough to satisfy the appetite of both Saiyans. After that, Goku and Gine got out of the lake, got dressed, and headed back home.

Goku, while dragging the big fish he caught with his mom, said to Gine, "Wow, Mom, this is the biggest fish we've ever caught. I can't wait to get home so we can cook it."

Gine nodded with a smile and said, "That's right, son, me too. Now wait here while I look for some spices nearby to prepare our lunch."

"Okay, Mom," said Goku.

Then Gine flew off to the nearby forest to look for the spices they needed to cook the fish for their lunch, while Goku stayed waiting in the middle of the road while holding his fish. Goku only looked at Gine with pride and happiness, knowing that he had a strong mother, and what he wanted most was to be as strong as her and surpass her someday. After a few minutes, Goku heard a loud noise and saw something big and unknown to him coming on four wheels at full speed, with a feminine voice shouting, "WATCH OUT!" Then Goku, being scared, started running while dragging his fish, but the vehicle managed to reach Goku and hit him, causing him to crash into a tree. Then a young woman with blue hair and a pink dress that said "Bulma" stuck her head out of the car window.

_"I think I ran him over," said Bulma, looking worried.

_ Then Goku, annoyed, stood up and said, "Cheating monster, so you want to take my fish away from me, huh? Well, I won't allow it!" Goku said, lifting the car where Bulma was and then throwing the car on its side. Then Goku took out his Power Pole that his late grandfather Son Gohan had given him and said to the young woman, "Now, get ready to fight."

_ Then Bulma pulled out a gun and shot at Goku, saying, "Take this." The bullets hit Goku, but to Bulma's surprise, the Saiyan boy was unharmed, though with some minor bruises from the bullets.

_ "Owww! That hurt! But what kind of sorcery was that?" said Goku, wincing as he rubbed his head.

_ Bulma, totally frightened, said, "What? B... But... How is it possible that you didn't die?"

_ The Saiyan boy, completely annoyed, said to Bulma, "Did you really think you could kill me with that? My body is as hard as steel. Your end has come, monster!"

_ Then Bulma, frightened, dropped her gun and cried out in anguish, "No! Please wait!"

Then Gine quickly appeared, totally worried about all the noise she heard, thinking that something had happened to her son. Gine descended, shouting, "Goku!" Then Gine stood between her son and the young Bulma, causing Goku to stop his attack.

_"Goku... Son, what happened to you? Are you okay?" asked Gine, concerned. She began to examine Goku and saw that he only had a small bruise on his head from the bullets Bulma had shot, and Gine saw that it wasn't serious and would easily heal soon.

_ Bulma, frightened, wondered, "Who is this woman? And how can she fly?"

_ "Mom! This monster tried to steal our fish and tried to kill me using magic," said Goku, annoyed, pointing at the young blue-haired woman.

Then Gine fixed her gaze on the young blue-haired woman, who looked scared to see that the boy's mother had a tail just like her son's, and descended flying. Bulma was afraid of Gine's reaction when she found out that she had tried to kill her own son.

_"But dear, she's just a girl," said Gine.

_ "A girl?" asked Goku, confused and amazed.

_ "Of course, dummy, that's what I was trying to tell you," said Bulma, annoyed, as she got out of the car.

Then Goku approached the young woman and began to examine her closely, and then Goku used his Power Pole to lift her skirt slightly.

_ "Hey! What do you think you're doing, you cheeky brat?!" said Bulma, annoyed.

_ "Goku!" Gine said, annoyed, pulling her son's ear.

_ "Ouch, Mom, that hurts!" Goku said, wincing in pain.

_ Gine, arms crossed and annoyed, said to her son Goku, "It's not okay to lift a woman's skirt! Those are not the manners your grandfather Gohan and I taught you. Apologize to that young lady immediately."

_ "I just wanted to make sure she didn't have another weapon, but alright, I'll do it. Sorry!" said Goku, bowing to the young blue-haired woman.

_ "It's okay, don't worry. Actually, I want to apologize to you too for hitting you with my car and scaring you, I should have been more careful when driving," said Bulma with a smile.

_ "Car? So that monster is actually a car?" asked Goku, confused as he examined the vehicle.

_ "Of course, haven't you ever seen a car before?" said Bulma.

_ "Well, no, although my grandfather told me about them," said Goku as he continued examining the overturned vehicle.

_ Gine then asked the blue-haired girl, "So, are you from the city?"

_ Bulma nodded with a smile and said, "That's right, to be exact, I'm from West Capital."

_ Goku, getting out of the car, asked the blue-haired girl, "Would you like us to invite you for a meal?"

_ Bulma asked, "Wouldn't that be too much trouble?"

_ "Not at all," said Gine with a smile.

_ "Well... In that case, I accept your offer and thank you for your hospitality," said the blue-haired girl with a smile.

So Goku went home with Gine and the young blue-haired girl, dragging his fish along.

_ "By the way, my name is Son Goku," said Goku.

_ "And I'm Gine," said Gine.

_ "What's your name?" Goku asked the blue-haired girl.

_ "My name is Bulma," said Bulma.

_ "Nice to meet you, Bulma," said Gine with a smile.

_ "Likewise, Gine. By the way, Goku, you seem to be a boy with superhuman strength," said Bulma.

_ "Thanks. Both my grandfather and my mom have been training me since I started walking," said Goku with a smile.

_ "Gine, I must say I find it incredible that you're Goku's mother," said Bulma.

_ "Huh? Why do you say that?" asked Gine, confused.

_ "It's just that you look very young to be Goku's mother. Just by looking at you, you must be at most 20 years old, while your son looks like a 7-year-old boy. Although it's clear you're related since you both have the same smile and blush. I would even dare to say you look more like Goku's older sister," said Bulma with a smile.

_ Gine, with a nervous smile and a bead of sweat on her forehead, said, "Uh... Well, let's just say I'm fortunate to look much younger than my actual age."

_ "Well, you're indeed lucky," said Bulma with a smile.

Then the three entered the house of the late Son Gohan, and as soon as they entered, Bulma saw the 4-star ball, and she jumped for joy and approached it, saying, "I finally found it!"

_ "Hey, don't touch Grandpa! It's the last memento my grandfather left me before he died," said Goku, furious, grabbing the 4-star ball.

_ "Well, I'll have to show you a little secret," said Bulma with a smile as she reached into a bag hanging from her belt and pulled out two orange balls with red stars, similar to Goku's, but one had 2 stars, and the other had 5 stars, which amazed Goku and Gine.

_ "Wow! Do you have two grandfathers?" asked Goku, astonished.

_ "No, silly. These are Dragon Balls," said Bulma.

_ "Dragon Balls?" asked Gine, confused.

Bulma explained, saying, "You see, I recently found the 2-star ball in the basement of my house, and while researching an old document, I discovered that the Dragon Balls are 7 and are scattered throughout the world. When someone manages to gather the 7 Dragon Balls, they must speak the magic words, 'Come forth, Shenron, and grant my wish,' and then the immense Dragon Shenron, the great dragon god, will appear, granting one wish. In my research, I found out how someone long ago managed to gather the 7 Dragon Balls and wished to be King, and Shenron granted his wish."

_ "Amazing!" said Goku.

_ But Gine, with a skeptical look on her face, thought to herself, "Well, that doesn't seem like a very believable story, but considering that my son and I are an alien race that transforms into giant apes when we see the full moon, I guess anything is possible."

But then Goku and Gine were amazed to see the 4-star ball glowing alongside the 2 balls that Bulma brought with her.

_ "Grandpa's Ball, and Bulma's Balls are glowing," said Goku, astonished.

_ "But... How is that possible?" asked Gine, amazed, and in her thoughts, Gine said, "It seems like what this girl says about the Dragon Balls is true."

_ "But what do you want to ask Shenron?" Gine asked.

_ Bulma blushed and with hearts in her eyes said, "What I want to ask for is a tall and handsome boyfriend," while Goku and Gine looked at her with a mixture of confusion and concern, then Bulma said, "Well, now that you know the truth about the Ball you have, could you give it to me, please?"

_ But Goku held onto his 4-star ball even tighter and pouted, saying, "No! This is the Ball my grandpa gave me before he died, and I'm not letting go of it for anything in the world."

_ "Oh, come on, Goku! Don't be like that! It's cute that you feel that way, but you don't need that Ball for anything," said Bulma, trying to convince the little Saiyan.

_ But Goku, still upset, pouted and said, "I don't want to!" and then stuck his tongue out at Bulma, making Gine chuckle lightly.

Then Bulma made a strange face at the little Saiyan, which Gine quickly noticed.

_ "I understand now, you're a very naughty boy and you want something in return," said Bulma with a seductive look. Then Bulma slightly lifted her skirt in front of Goku, showing him part of her panties, trying to seduce the little Saiyan by saying, "Come on! I know what you want! If you want, I can let you give me a quick touch."

Gine watched this embarrassing scene with her mouth open and eyes wide. Then, furious and indignant, the Saiyan mother shouted at Bulma, "Don't show my son those things!"

The shout from the furious and indignant Saiyan mother startled Bulma. She turned her head towards Goku's mother, who was trying to seduce her little son into touching her as if Goku were a vile pervert. Bulma became nervous and swallowed hard when she saw Gine glaring at her with fury, a vein bulging on her forehead from how upset she was that Bulma tried to seduce her little son.

_ Then, embarrassed, Bulma bowed her head before Gine, saying, "Please forgive me for my boldness, Mrs. Gine. It won't happen again."

_ Gine replied sternly, "All right, but you'd better not do it again."

_ "And why would I want to touch such a dirty thing?" Goku said, feeling a bit puzzled.

_ Bulma, now annoyed, retorted, "My butt isn't dirty, you little brat!"

Gine's annoyance disappeared, and she couldn't help but chuckle lightly at her son's comment and the blue-haired girl's reaction. Gine felt happy that her son Goku, despite being a 12-year-old, still retained the innocence of a newborn baby.

_ Then, Bulma came up with something that would forever change the lives of both Goku and Gine. Bulma said to the young Saiyan mother and her son, "Well, let's do this: How about you two accompany me to search for the rest of the Dragon Balls? Just think about it, Gine! Both you and your son can go out and see the world. You can polish your martial arts techniques and skills, and I think traveling would be better for you than staying forever in this lonely mountain, don't you think?" Although in her mind, Bulma knew she was only inviting Gine and Goku to be her bodyguards in case of any danger due to how strong they were.

_ "Wow! Are you serious? Mom, can we please go? Come on, please say yes, please?" Goku asked excitedly, pulling on Gine's clothes.

_ Gine thought carefully about Bulma's proposal and remembered what Gojan told her 9 years ago when she and her son arrived on Earth, about how in the world, she would encounter not only good people but also people so wicked capable of committing atrocious acts that her mind could never conceive or imagine. But she also knew that Gojan never objected to the idea of her and Goku one day exploring the world. Furthermore, she saw it as a good opportunity for her son to mature and grow as a person. And in the face of any threat that might arise, Gine had confidence that both she and her son together could fight off any such threat.

_ "All right, we'll go," Gine said with a smile.

_ "Yay! That's great!" Goku cheered with total happiness.

_ "Perfect! I'm sure we'll have a great adventure together!" Bulma said with a big smile.

_ "But I'll be keeping my grandfather's Ball," Goku said, holding onto the 4-star Ball even tighter.

_ "That's fine, but when we gather all 7 Balls, I'll need you to give it to me to summon Shenron," Bulma replied.

Then Goku and Gine cooked the fish they prepared and invited Bulma to lunch. Bulma enjoyed the delicious flavor cooked by Gine.

_ After eating, Bulma said, "Goku, Gine, thank you for the meal, it was delicious. Gine, you really know how to cook."

_ Gine replied with a smile, "You're welcome, Bulma. Well, now I need you and my son to wait outside while I prepare what we need for the journey."

Then Goku and Bulma went outside the house while Gine stayed inside to wash the dishes. She then took out two travel bags. In her son's bag, she put changes of clean clothes, clean underwear, and another pair of extra slippers, which were a gift from the late Grandpa Gojan. Then Gine put changes of clean clothes, her underwear, and an extra pair of slippers in her own travel bag. After that, Gine put on her blue gi with red wristbands and a white belt like her son's and then went out of the house and closed the door. She saw her son Goku laughing at Bulma.

_ "Bulma hahaha What a funny name," Goku said as he laughed.

_ "Oh, shut up, Goku!" Bulma retorted, annoyed and pouting.

Gine just chuckled lightly and said, "We're ready to go! Goku, here's your bag with everything you need for the trip."

_ Goku received his travel bag with a smile, saying, "Thanks, Mom."

_ Then Goku asked Bulma, "By the way, don't you have a tail? My mom and I have tails, but it turns out my grandpa didn't have one."

_ "Uh... Well, I don't have a tail," Bulma replied, and in her thoughts, Bulma said, "What a strange kid."

_ Goku asked, "Are we going to walk?"

_ Bulma replied, "Well, since you wrecked my car, I guess we'll have to go by motorcycle."

_ "Motorcycle?" Gine asked, confused.

_ Then Bulma took out a pocket case labeled "Capsules" and pulled out a small device. She pressed a button and then threw the device, saying, "Get back!"

And to the amazement of Goku and Gine, an explosion occurred. When the smoke cleared, a motorcycle with a sidecar appeared.

_ Gine, completely amazed, thought to herself, "It seems that Earthling technology isn't as outdated as Bardock told me it would be. There's no doubt that Earthlings are full of surprises."

_ Goku, feeling scared, said, "I knew it! You're a witch!"

_ Then Bulma said, "This isn't magic, you silly kid. These are Hoi-Poi Capsules, which are the latest in technology and are widely used in the city. Now, get in the sidecar seat, both of you."

Then Gine sat in the sidecar seat, and Goku sat in her lap. Bulma then accelerated the motorcycle at full speed, making Goku and Gine scream from the speed they were going and the dangerous acrobatics Bulma was performing while driving. And thus began Goku and Gine's great adventure in search of the Dragon Balls in the company of Bulma, which would change the lives of Goku and Gine forever.
