Yamcha x Trans Male Reader

a/n- thegrievinghollow   I wasn't quite sure what to do for this one but I figured something out, but I hope you like it!

The sky was a perfect blue, a bright and warm day at the baseball stadium. The stands were filled with excited fans, all cheering for their favorite team. Among them was you, sitting in the front row, your heart pounding in anticipation. You weren't just any fan; you were there to support Yamcha, your boyfriend, who was one of the star players.

You had always admired Yamcha's confidence on the field. Even though life had thrown him a fair share of challenges, he always found a way to keep moving forward with that charming smile of his. You, on the other hand, had spent a long time trying to build up your own confidence, especially after transitioning. Yamcha had been a huge part of your journey, always supportive and encouraging, but there were still days when self-doubt crept in.

Today, however, was about him. You watched as he stepped up to the plate, his usual cocky grin plastered on his face. The crowd roared, and you couldn't help but smile, feeling proud of him. The pitcher wound up and sent a fastball hurtling toward Yamcha. He swung, and the crack of the bat meeting the ball echoed through the stadium. The ball sailed high into the sky, and the crowd held its breath.

It was a home run.

The stadium erupted in cheers as Yamcha rounded the bases, his smile brighter than ever. As he passed by your section, he caught your eye and winked, making your heart flutter. You waved back, feeling a mix of excitement and warmth in your chest.

After the game, Yamcha found you outside the stadium. He was still in his uniform, a bit sweaty, but glowing with pride from the win.

"Did you see that?" he asked, a playful smirk on his face.

"Of course I did," you replied, smiling up at him. "You were amazing out there."

"Thanks," he said, stepping closer to you. "But, honestly, I was just trying to impress someone."

You rolled your eyes playfully. "Oh yeah? And who might that be?"

He grinned, leaning in closer. "You, of course."

Your face heated up, and you laughed softly, pushing him away playfully. "You're such a dork."

He caught your hand, holding it gently. "Maybe, but I'm your dork."

You squeezed his hand, feeling a wave of affection for him. Yamcha had this way of making you feel like the most important person in the world, even on your worst days.

"Let's go grab something to eat," Yamcha suggested. "There's this great place nearby. I think you'll love it."

You agreed, and the two of you made your way to a small, cozy diner. The conversation flowed easily between you, as it always did. Yamcha had this knack for making you laugh, his lighthearted nature balancing out the more serious thoughts that often plagued your mind.

As you sat across from each other, enjoying your meal, Yamcha's expression suddenly became more serious. He reached across the table and took your hand, his thumb brushing over your knuckles.

"You know," he began, his voice soft, "I've been thinking... You've come a long way, and I'm really proud of you."

You looked down at your food, feeling a bit self-conscious. "I've had a lot of help," you murmured.

"And I'm happy I could be a part of that," he said, squeezing your hand gently. "But you've done most of the work yourself. You're strong, and you're amazing. Don't ever forget that."

His words warmed your heart, and you felt tears prick at the corners of your eyes. "Thanks, Yamcha," you said, your voice a little shaky. "That means a lot."

He smiled, that familiar, comforting smile that always made you feel safe. "Anytime. And if you ever need a reminder, I'll be here."

After dinner, Yamcha took you for a walk through the city. The streets were lit up with the glow of streetlights, and the sound of distant chatter and traffic filled the air. It was peaceful, in a way, and you found yourself relaxing as you walked hand in hand with him.

At one point, Yamcha stopped in front of a small park. "Wanna sit for a bit?" he asked.

You nodded, and the two of you made your way to a bench. The park was quiet, a stark contrast to the bustling city around it. You sat close to each other, the comfortable silence between you speaking volumes.

"Yamcha?" you said after a while.

"Yeah?" he replied, glancing at you.

"I just... I want you to know that you're really important to me," you said, your voice soft. "You've helped me in more ways than you know."

He smiled, leaning in to press a soft kiss to your temple. "I'm glad. You're important to me too, you know. More than anything."

You leaned into him, resting your head on his shoulder. The two of you sat like that for a while, content in each other's presence. In that moment, all your worries and doubts seemed to fade away, replaced by the warmth of his love and the comfort of knowing you weren't alone.

As the night grew darker, you eventually made your way back to your apartment. Yamcha insisted on walking you home, his protective nature shining through as always. When you reached your door, he turned to you, a soft smile on his face.

"I'll see you tomorrow?" he asked.

"Of course," you replied, smiling back.

He leaned in and kissed you softly, his lips lingering on yours for a moment longer than usual. When he pulled away, he rested his forehead against yours, his eyes closed.

"I love you," he whispered.

"I love you too," you replied, your heart swelling with emotion.

As Yamcha walked away, you couldn't help but feel grateful for him. He was more than just your boyfriend—he was your best friend, your confidant, and the person who made you feel like you could conquer anything.

And with him by your side, you knew you could face whatever challenges life threw your way.
