Piccolo stood at the edge of Bulma's garden, a silent observer amidst the cheerful chaos of the party. Gohan had convinced him to come, promising it would be good for him to socialize more. But Piccolo wasn't one for large gatherings, preferring solitude and quiet contemplation.
As he scanned the crowd, his sharp senses picked up on a familiar energy, tinged with the unmistakable aura of a Saiyan. He noticed a woman with long, dark hair talking animatedly with Goku and Vegeta. She had an air of confidence and strength about her, and her laughter echoed across the garden.
Piccolo's brow furrowed. Who was she? He knew all the Z Fighters, and this woman clearly had a connection with Goku and the others. Yet, he couldn't recall ever meeting her before.
Curiosity getting the better of him, Piccolo approached Gohan, who was standing with Videl and Pan.
"Gohan," Piccolo began, his deep voice cutting through the chatter. "Who is that woman talking with Goku?"
Gohan glanced over at where Piccolo was looking and smiled knowingly. "Oh, that's my aunt Y/N. She's Dad's older sister."
Piccolo's eyes widened imperceptibly. Goku had a sister? He hadn't heard Goku mention her before. But then again, Goku wasn't exactly known for sharing family details.
"His sister?" Piccolo repeated, more to himself than to Gohan.
"Yeah," Gohan nodded. "She's been off training in the mountains for years. She rarely comes down from there. Usually it's like once a year for food and supplies but she disappears just as fast as she comes down. I'm kind of surprised to see her here'"
Piccolo's eyebrows raised in surprise. He had heard of Goku's family, but meeting one of them in person was unexpected. "I see," he murmured, nodding thoughtfully.
Before he could dwell on it further, Goku noticed Piccolo and made his way over, Aunt Y/N in tow. "Hey, Piccolo!" Goku greeted with a wide grin. "I see you decided to join us after all."
Piccolo nodded in acknowledgment. "Goku. And this must be Y/N," he added, turning his attention to the woman beside him.
Y/N smiled warmly, extending her hand. "Nice to meet you, Piccolo. Goku's told me a lot about you."
Piccolo accepted her handshake, noting the firm grip and the calloused hands that spoke of rigorous training.

Throughout the evening, Piccolo found himself drawn to Y/N's side, engaged in conversations that ranged from training techniques to philosophical discussions about strength and duty. She was easy to talk to, and he found himself opening up more than usual.
Y/N, too, seemed intrigued by Piccolo. She admired his dedication to training and his unwavering sense of honor. There was a quiet strength about him that resonated with her own values.
Goku excused himself to take care of something in the house. Piccolo and Y/N found themselves alone in a quiet corner of the garden.
"Thank you for coming tonight, Piccolo," Y/N said softly, her eyes reflecting the moonlight above. "I know these gatherings aren't really your thing."
Piccolo nodded, a rare smile tugging at his lips. "It was... pleasant. Your presence made it more bearable."
Y/N chuckled, a sound that warmed Piccolo's heart. "I'm glad to hear that," she replied, leaning against the garden wall. "Maybe you'll join them for more gatherings in the future?"
Piccolo considered her offer, surprised to find himself genuinely considering it. "Perhaps," he said finally. "If you're there."
Y/N grinned, her eyes sparkling with amusement. "Deal."
As the party wound down and guests started to leave, Piccolo found himself lingering near Y/N. She was helping clean up, her movements efficient and purposeful. He admired her strength and dedication, traits he respected deeply.
"You know," Y/N said suddenly, breaking the comfortable silence between them, "I've heard a lot about you too, Piccolo. Goku talks about you often."
Piccolo raised an eyebrow, mildly surprised. "Does he now?"
Y/N nodded, smiling. "Yeah. He says you're one of his closest friends, someone he can always rely on."
Piccolo was taken aback by Goku's words. He had never thought of himself in such terms, but hearing it from Y/N made him feel a strange warmth. "I... appreciate that," he admitted gruffly.
They continued to clean up in companionable silence, a mutual understanding growing between them. Piccolo realized that Y/N's presence was not just intriguing—it was comforting. They shared a connection through their shared bonds with Goku, and perhaps something more, something unspoken yet palpable.
Later that night, as Piccolo meditated under the stars, he found himself thinking about Y/N. She was unlike anyone he had ever met—fierce yet gentle, skilled yet humble. There was a depth to her that he wanted to explore further, a curiosity that gnawed at him.
The next day, Goku stopped by for their usual training session. Piccolo was deep in thought, and Goku couldn't help but notice. "Hey, Piccolo. Everything okay?"
Piccolo looked up, meeting Goku's gaze. "Yeah," he replied slowly. "I was just thinking about your sister, Y/N."
Goku grinned knowingly. "She's something, isn't she? Strongest woman I know."
Piccolo nodded in agreement. "Indeed. She... intrigues me."
Goku chuckled. "Well, if you're interested, why not spend more time with her? She told me she's planning to stick around for a while."
Piccolo considered Goku's words. Spending more time with Y/N didn't seem like a bad idea at all. In fact, he found himself looking forward to it
As days turned into week, Piccolo and Y/N found themselves drawn to each other more and more. They trained together, sparred occasionally, and shared quiet moments of reflection. Piccolo discovered layers to Y/N that fascinated him—her resilience, her kindness, and her unwavering dedication to those she cared about.
Later that month, Piccolo and Y/N met at an isolated training ground away from prying eyes. They faced each other, each assessing the other's stance and readiness. Y/N's aura was calm yet focused, a testament to her disciplined training.
They exchanged a few initial blows, each testing the other's defenses and strengths. Piccolo was impressed by Y/N's speed and agility, traits she undoubtedly shared with her brother Goku. Y/N, in turn, admired Piccolo's strategic approach and the power of his techniques.
As they sparred, a mutual respect grew between them. Piccolo found Y/N's fighting style refreshing and unpredictable, while Y/N admired Piccolo's ability to adapt and strategize on the fly. They pushed each other to their limits, each wanting to learn from the other.
Towards the end of their session, Piccolo launched a series of rapid attacks, aiming to test Y/N's reflexes. Y/N responded with a fierce combination of punches and kicks, her movements fluid and precise. They matched each other move for move, their energies blending in a dance of combat.
Eventually, they paused, breathing heavily but exhilarated. Piccolo nodded in approval. "You're quite skilled, Y/N. Goku wasn't exaggerating."
Y/N grinned, wiping sweat from her brow. "Likewise, Piccolo. You're not what I expected, but in a good way."
Piccolo's lips twitched upwards in a rare smile. "Maybe we have more in common than we thought."
They spent the rest of the afternoon discussing techniques, exchanging tips, and even sharing stories about Goku's antics growing up. By the time they parted ways, Piccolo found himself looking forward to their next spar.
One evening, as they sat together under the shade of a large tree, Piccolo turned to Y/N, his expression earnest. "Y/N, there's something about you that draws me in."
Y/N met his gaze, her eyes softening. "I feel it too, Piccolo."
They sat in silence for a moment, the weight of their unspoken feelings hanging between them. Finally, Piccolo reached out, gently taking Y/N's hand in his.
"I want to get to know you better," he admitted quietly.
Y/N smiled, squeezing his hand gently. "I'd like that too."
From that day on, Piccolo and Y/N's relationship grew more and more each day. They navigated the complexities of their lives—training, battles, and moments of peace—with a newfound sense of understanding and companionship. Together, they faced challenges head-on, supporting each other through thick and thin.
And as they sat together one evening, watching the sunset paint the sky in shades of pink and orange, Piccolo knew that he had found someone special in Y/N—someone he wanted to protect and cherish for the rest of his life.
