The day had finally come, the day of the World Martial Arts Tournament. The arena was absolutely buzzing with activity not only in the public plaza but the warriors' house where fighters from all over the earth had come together to potentially take home ultimate glory. In the west corner of the hall stood the Z-Fighters which includes: Pan, Uub, Xander, Kira, Gohan, Bulla, Trunks, and Goten. "I wish you both luck in the tournament, go out there and make these people know just how strong you both truly are!" Goten said excitedly. "I don't know how far we're going to get if we're facing you in the tournament." Xander said with doubt. He's trained with great uncle Goten before and, to be honest, he was a hardcase fighter that never knew when to give up. "Ah come on Xander, I'm basically an old man at this point. If anything I should be worrying about facing you early on in the tournament." He said with a goofy laugh and scratched the back of his head. Kira turned towards Trunks, "I'm surprised you're not entering Trunks, you're an amazing fighter that loves challenges!" Kira said, making Trunks laugh. "Of course I do Kira, but the people wouldn't be all that thrilled that the president of Capsule Corp. is trying to win his own money." Trunks said, making everyone laugh. "Yeah that makes sense." Kira said.

Raiyo was in the east corner of the house tapping his foot nervously, contemplating the idea of dropping out before the fighting began. "Please don't make me take my top off in public just to make you go through with this!" Seida said in a whisper so no one could hear her. "You're not the one who could be kicked from the orphanage if they're caught! The most trouble you could probably get in is that you went to the tournament and accepted the fight money as a gift from a total stranger, me, who won said tournament." Raiyo explained in a rushed voice. "Just calm down will ya? I know you better than anyone and I could barely recognize you with that disguise on." Seida said in an effort to reassure him. "I hope so, because if I am then this was a gigantic waste of time." Raiyo said and looked into one of the mirrors lining the wall. He was decked out in a bright white gi and red belt, a pair of red, flat footed fighting shoes, black wraparound sunglasses so they wouldn't come off, and a rainbow rasta hat to hide his ungodly amount of hair. "Don't be such a pessimist, let's just get some food before the names are drawn." Seida said and dragged Raiyo along to the buffet table in the middle of the hall.

*RRRRGH!!* came the audible rumbling from Kira's stomach. "If there's one thing you inherited from your saiyan bloodline is your appetite!" Goten said with a laugh. "I guess I am pretty hungry. I'm heading over to the buffet table, you coming Xander?" She asked her brother. "I've worked up an appetite, sure." He said nonchalantly and followed his sister. Once they got there they began filling their plates with a whole manner of meats, vegetables, and fruits to maintain their stamina.

The kitchen always had tons of food prepared for each tournament, so there was always a surplus. Even still, there was only one squid roll left. Two tongs suddenly met when both reach for the same sushi piece. The owners of the first set of tongs, Kira, looked up at who was denying her her squid roll. Raiyo then looked up from his tongs, his eyes still covered by his glasses. For a complete minute, neither warrior could think of of what to say to the other. Then, simultaneously, they asked, "Split it?" They both laughed at how ridiculous they sounded. "Sorry about that, here." Kira said and grabbed a knife. She cut the roll perfectly in half and handed one half over to Raiyo, who accepted gratefully. "Thanks, these things are my favorite!" Raiyo admitted with a chuckle. "No problem guy, everyone has to feel at their best when they enter the ring!" Kira said with a smile and began walking away. Raiyo smiled and was about to eat his half roll when he heard her call back, "Especially if they plan to go up against me." Kira said and disappeared back into the crowd.

At this Raiyo hesitated, "She sounded confident, a lot more confident than I feel. I'm going to have to be careful if I end up facing her." Raiyo was deep in thought when he heard a voice from behind him. "Who's your friend?" Came the question from out of nowhere. Raiyo jumped and turned around, Seida was standing there with her arms crossed. "Oh, her? We just both wanted the same squid roll so we split it." Raiyo said sheepishly. Seida shook her head, "I swear Rai-" but she stopped herself. "Goken, your nice guy attitude is going to get you killed one of these days." She said, trying to get used to using Raiyo's cover name. Raiyo smirked, "Leave it to Seida to bring the mood down."

"Anyway, it's time for the names to be drawn for the first matches!" Seida said excitedly and dragged Raiyo along, him desperately trying to hold on to his plate of food.

"Well, it looks like the names are being drawn," Goten said with a smile. "I hope I can at least get past the first round." He said and walked outside to where the placement roster for the fighters was. "I hope uncle Goten goes easy on Kira and Xander, they may be strong but he's got experience on his side." Pan said but felt her father's calloused hand on her shoulder. Even at sixty-two years of age, Gohan was still a tough fighter and still boasted tremendous power. "Don't worry Pan, those kids are excellent warriors. I'm certain that they'll go far in the tournament." He said with a smile, lines forming around his mouth from years of doing so. Pan looked up at her father, "How do you know?"

"You trained them, didn't you?"

Raiyo gulped nervously once he saw his competition. Sure, when all of them were in the fighter's house or when they were doing the strength tests they didn't look that threatening. But now, while they were in the arena and guaranteed to fight, all of them held murderous looks on their faces. Raiyo looked on at the crowd before noticing a person among them, the girl he split the squid roll with. Raiyo began walking over, "Hey, where are you going?!?" Seida asked. Raiyo didn't answer and kept walking, forcing Seida to follow.

Kira was having a tough time seeing the board from where they were at, an incredibly large sumo-like fighter blocking their view. "I could just pick him up and throw him aside." Kira muttered irritably. "Not only would you get disqualified but I don't think people would react kindly to our family anymore once they saw you attack a guy before the fighting begins." Xander pointed out as a matter of fact. "Well I'm just throwing out suggestions, don't see you being that helpful." Kira said and turned her head head to look at her brother. Not even a minute later she felt a tap on her shoulder. Kira turned around to find that guy she split the roll with, identified immediately from his rainbow rasta hat. "Sorry but I didn't catch your name, I usually like to thank kind people properly." Raiyo said with a smirk, causing Kira to look mildly confused at first. Soon enough she relaxed and extended her hand to Raiyo, "Fair enough, my name's Kira and this is my brother Xander." Kira said and gestured to Xander, who waved apprehensively.

Raiyo nodded at him, sensing Xander's discomfort. "Why the hell did you run off like that!?!" Came a loud voice from behind Raiyo but this time he expected it. He turned around to see his best friend angrily walking towards him, her face contorted in a look of anger. When she saw who Raiyo was with though the angry look was replaced by one of confusion. "Who are they?" Seida questioned, gesturing to the twins. "Oh yeah, Seida this is Kira and Xander. Kira and Xander this is my good friend Seida." Raiyo said and the three of them shook hands. Xander was having trouble focusing once he saw the small shirt that Seida was wearing, the fabric hugging her curves and exposing her cleavage to the point that it left little to the imagination. Kira saw Xander staring and punched his chest. "OW! What was that for?!?" Xander asked Kira. "Pervert," was all Kira said before turning back to Seida. "I'm sorry about that, hopefully my brother didn't embarrass you." Kira said apologetically. Seida scrunched her eyebrows in confusion before looking down and realizing what she was talking about. At this Seida chuckled, "Trust me he didn't. I've had large breasts since I was 12. I'm just glad he didn't try to grope me like most guys like to do." Seida said with a laugh but Kira just grew red with embarrassment. She had no idea that some girls actually had that problem and thought that it was just a problem for TV dramas.

"Well, I'm glad to hear that." Kira said in an effort to end the conversation. "It was nice talking to you Seida and..." But Kira didn't know the guy's name, he never gave it. "I'm sorry but I didn't catch your name." Kira said to Raiyo. "Oh yeah, well it's-" but Raiyo was cut off when he heard the tournament announcer's voice come booming over some loudspeakers.

"LADIES AND GENTLEMAN, I HOPE YOU'RE PREPARED FOR TODAY'S MATCHUPS BECAUSE I KNOW I CERTAINLY AM. THIS YEAR WE HAVE A SPECIAL TREAT FOR YOU, MEMBERS OF THE SON FAMILY COMPETING IN THE TOURNAMENT!" The announcer said in his amplified voice. Raiyo's eyes widened in shock as did Seida's, who would have guessed there was a legitimate family here with the same last name as Raiyo's cover name.

"THAT'S RIGHT FOLKS AFTER ALL THESE YEARS WE FINALLY GET TO SEE DESCENDANTS OF THE MIGHTY GOKU FIGHT IN THIS RING ONCE MORE! AND I'M TELLING YOU THIS THEY COULDN'T EVEN SETTLE FOR JUST ONE FIGHTER, NOT TWO, AND NOT EVEN THREE BUT FOUR OF THEM!" He announced excitedly. Kira raised her eyebrow in confusion, "What is he talking about, it should only be me, Xander, and uncle Goten competing in the tournament?" Kira voiced in her head when words failed her.

"What, how is that possible?!?" Uub said with a confused tone. "Dad, are you sure you didn't register?" Pan asked Gohan, trying to make a reasonable explanation out of all this. Gohan shook his head, "I would remember if I did, but I'm curious to see who this extra family member is." Gohan said as he watched the events unfold.

"I NOW GIVE YOU THE CHILD OF GOKU, SON GOTEN!" the announcer pointed over to where Goten was standing, he waved like the born actor he was but looked slightly on edge. "NEXT ARE WHAT I CAN ONLY ASSUME ARE THE GREAT GRANDCHILDREN OF GOKU," everybody was on the edge of their seats.

"SON KIRA," Kira gave a small wave.

"SON XANDER," Xander raised his fist in the air but immediately retracted it in anticipation.

"AND FINALLY... SON GOKEN!" at this Raiyo wanted to get out of the arena as fast as possible. When he chose the cover name he didn't know there was a whole family of them. Plus, he didn't know that this Goku guy was that big of a deal in the marital arts tournament. Raiyo felt a hand on his shoulder and looked over to see Seida, who was holding her breath in anticipation.

After a minute or so of shocked silence, everyone in the stadium began murmuring. This mysterious fighter had yet to show himself. "MAY WE PLEASE HAVE SON GOKEN RAISE HIS HAND PLEASE?" the announcer kept booming. Raiyo's eye twitched erratically, not wanting to draw attention to himself. He looked over at the twins, the real people who could bare the name 'Son', and both had slightly irritated expressions on their faces. "The nerve of some people, stealing our family's name to enter into the tournament, shameful!" Kira fumed. Raiyo thought quickly, he knew he had to claim the name but didn't want to make that big of an enemy of either Kira or Xander.

Raiyo walked up to the announcer, "My name is Goken," he said to the announcer, who still had his mic on so everyone could hear. The people opened their eyes in surprise, not really expecting the figure that claimed the name. The Z-Fighters watched from their seats on the stands, "Do you remember him at any family reunions?" Uub asked with a raised eyebrow. "I think I would have remembered that hat of all things." Trunks said. Raiyo looked around at the stadium, everyone WAS getting the wrong idea about him and he needed to make it stop. "But I'm not related to the Son family here today, I'm just a fighter from West City who happened to have the same name." Raiyo added quickly, putting almost everyone, even the Z-Fighters, in silence.

"Well this was certainly unexpected," the announcer said. "I'M SORRY FOLKS BUT IT SEEMS THAT ONLY THREE MEMBERS OF THE SON FAMILY MADE IT TODAY TO FIGHT, I'M SORRY FOR THE CONFUSION." He said to the audience. Raiyo breathed a sigh of relief, but it was short lived. "Another person with coincidentally the same last name, yeah right." Came an angry sounding voice from behind Raiyo. "Crap." He thought and turned to meet the harsh glare of Kira. "Look Kira I swear-" but he was cut off. "I can't say I don't believe in coincidences, but this is a little much. No one just enters the same world martial arts tournament with the same name as it's greatest champion unless they were of the same family." Kira said angrily. "Hey bitch, is it that hard to comprehend the possibility that there are more people in this world with the same damn name?!?" Seida said as she got into Kira's face.

"Hmph," came the reply from the other girl as, quick as lightning, she pushed Seida away with enough force to make her go flying. She landed in a roll, a few scratches on her arms. "HEY!" Raiyo said and went over to where Seida landed. He kneeled down to his best friend, "You okay?" Raiyo asked lamely, knowing that she was definitely not okay. "Please tell me you got the name for that bitch!" Seida said through gritted teeth. She was about to get up when Raiyo held a hand on her, "Don't, I'll handle this." He said and lifted himself off of the ground. He turned to face Kira, "You want to know something, I was hoping that I wouldn't have to face you but now it's the only thing I do want." Raiyo clenched both of his fists. "I swear to you I'll make you pay!" Raiyo yelled at the girl.

"He steals our name and yet he gets angry at me?!?" Kira snarled, "I look forward to it imposter." Kira said. For the longest time they both just stared at each other, neither of them breaking eye contact. Xander looked on at the exchange dubiously, doubting this Goken person was really to blame. While the two warriors bickered back and forth already two thirds of the match-ups had been called.

"NEXT UP WE HAVE... SON XANDER VERSUS.... SON GOTEN!" the crowd went wild, finally they were calling the more exciting fights. "AND FINALLY... SON KIRA WILL GO HEAD TO HEAD WITH THEIR CLAIMED IMPOSTER...SON GOKEN!"

The crowd roared but all Raiyo could think about was the sinking feeling in his stomach. "Crap, why did I have to go up against her?!? If anything she'll want to kill me once we step into the ring!" Raiyo was too nervous to notice a voice behind him.

"I'll see you soon, Goken, and you better be ready to face me!" And with that Kira went off, off to prepare herself.
