Goken is Exposed! The Tournament is Decided!

Raiyo laid on the arena floor in a bloodied heap. His muscles twitching slightly, just enough to show that he was still alive. The entirety of the coliseum went eerily quiet as they tried to comprehend what had just taken place, some even had their mouths agape in shock.

Seida's heart was racing with panic, while she was worried about Raiyo's safety her immediate thoughts were that he was now without his disguise. She instantly thought about running in and putting the disguise back on, claiming to be his manager or something. Then she remembered the rules of the tournament, if she interfered Raiyo would be disqualified and all of this would be for not. "It's alright, he still has his cover name and the orphanage has no television, only a radio. So as long as no one recognizes him he'll be alright." Seida mentally told herself in an attempt to make herself calm down.

She then looked back down at Xander, an enraged look on his face and a powerful aura being emitted from his body. Seida was angry at Xander but more so at herself, how could she be so stupid as to trust the twin of that cold-hearted bitch. But every time she looked over to those people sitting on the other side of the coliseum she doubted herself. They all kept fearful expressions on their faces, like they were looking into the eyes of a demon.

Pan wanted to rush down to the arena and try and calm down her son. It pained her knowing that, even while the bad times were behind them, Xander was still as violent and bloodthirsty as when it happened. She then felt a hand on her shoulder. Uub locked eyes with her and shook his head, "We can't, if we go down there he'll be disqualified. We just need to hold back for now and wait for this to settle itself." Uub tried to assure Pan. She looked at her husband, expecting him to be keeping his head, but he was sweating with fear. "If they don't...settle it I mean?" Pan asked, knowing exactly what could happen.

"If they don't then Xander will most likely kill Goken, and we don't have the dragon balls to help us out this time."

Raiyo felt his head throbbing, a feeling that only competed with the pain flaring in his limbs. It took even a great deal of strength to open his eyes, the first sight that greeted him was the white color of the arena tiles. He heard muddled sounds coming from every direction, almost like counting. Soon Raiyo realized what was going on, they were counting to his disqualification from the fight.

With several grunts of pain, Raiyo pushed his arms under himself and shakily got to his feet. Though he stumbled slightly, Raiyo managed to keep himself upright. Breathing heavily he focused his eyes on the figure of Xander, who's back was turned to him. Blood spilling down his face, Raiyo yelled at Xander. "Hey, bastard, I'm talking to you!"

"What is he doing, is he wanting to get himself killed?!?" Kira asked dumbfounded. "I don't know. It's almost as if..." Uub tried to answer but a notion stopped him. "Like he thinks he can still win." Uub said with a grim realization. "You're kidding, there's no way a human can be that stubborn!" Trunks argued with Uub.

Vegeta sat behind his son and Uub with his usual glare. His forehead was scrunched in concentration, "This boy shows more resilience than either one of my children. It just goes to show how weak the saiyan line has gotten."

"Yeah, I'm talking to you!" Raiyo continued yelling. "I hope you weren't think about declaring me beaten so quickly, this fight is just getting interesting!" Raiyo continued to amplify his bravado, a bit of his hair getting into his face. "Wait a minute, my hair is supposed to be inside the-" but as Raiyo reached up to feel the top of his head he noticed something missing, the hat. "Crap, where is it?!" Raiyo panicked. He then spotted the rainbow headpiece in Xander's right hand, who was currently glaring back at him. Raiyo then quickly switched to anger, both fists clenched at his sides. "Hey, give that back!" Raiyo yelled at Xander, semi sensing that his demand fell on deaf ears.

Xander didn't even consider the odd request to give the hat back. "You want it?" He asked and held the hat up, as I'd he was going to give it back. Xander saw Goken nod slowly, as if he didn't expect this to happen. Goken stalked forward to retrieve his hat, his brown eyes keeping a fixation on the rainbow headpiece. Suddenly, Xander's grip tightened and his eyes grew more malevolent. "THEN GO GET IT!" He yelled and tossed the hat behind him. The hat wouldn't have gone far if Xander hadn't also shot a ki blast at it, incinerating the colorful cloth. Xander felt pretty accomplished, his smirk slowly forming into a malicious grin, when he heard Goken's voice behind him, this time taking on a murderous tone. "That was your last mistake!"

Raiyo then rushed forward once more, his pain finally numbing down. Even in his bloodied state he was still fast enough that the normal eye had trouble tracking him. Raiyo closed the gap quickly, Xander was not fast enough to realize what had just happened. Xander turned his head only to get Raiyo's fist connecting squarely with his temple. Xander's brain went rattling when he was knocked to the ground, his rage momentarily being taken over by extreme pain.

"I don't believe it," Kira said, dumbfounded. "Did he really just land a good hit on Xander in his enraged state?!?" Not a single one of the Z-Fighters could believe what they had just witnessed; Xander, the stronger of the twins, was just put to the ground with a single punch! "Don't get too excited, he only managed to stun the boy." Vegeta stated, watching Xander already recovering himself.

"This...guy...just doesn't...stay down!" Raiyo was breathing heavily.

Xander got to his feet, the blow to his head already numbing to a dull pain. Xander snarled at Goken, who only glared menacingly back. They rushed at each other to exchange another volley of rapid paced kicks and punches. Neither fighter was trying to dodge all the attacks, rather they just kept up their angry barrage.

Raiyo got impatient and decided to pull something risky. He broke away from Xander and managed to gain some distance, turning back only ten feet away. "Alright then, make sure to keep your eye on this one!" He yelled and charged back at Xander, who sneered and ran towards Raiyo.

Five feet from each other, Raiyo enacted his plan. He dropped himself to the ground and slid himself beneath Xander, who was already moving too fast to react quick enough. Raiyo placed himself behind Xander, using his feet to stop himself from sliding even farther, he jumped into the air with his feet together just as Xander turned back around, only to get hard kicked by Raiyo.

"He's...actually doing it," Seida whispered to herself in surprise, then in excitement. "He's actually going to win, I guess he didn't need my help after all to win this!" She said a little too loudly. She shrunk down in her seat, looking around to see if anyone had heard her. Fortunately, no one was looking at her, and the cheering was still loud enough that she figured she was safe. Seida breathed a sigh of relief and turned her attention back to the fight...

Never taking notice of the guy right behind her getting up from his seat, and edging his way out of the stands.

Raiyo was exhausted, and every move he made only emphasized that. He kneeled in an attempt to catch his breath, blood was dripping from his mouth. Raiyo looked up to see Xander struggling to get to his feet, he seemed disoriented, "I can't keep this up, that last move was already taking my body beyond its limits and it still doesn't seem to have done more than piss him off!" Raiyo was out of options, he had used every trick he thought would work on Xander, which they did but he was obviously too strong to be affected by them.

Goken then did something strange, be began laughing, which confused all the people watching. "What is he doing?" Uub questioned as he watched the spiky haired boy seemed to be having a laughing fit. "I don't know," Trunks commented. "Imbeciles," came the gruff voice of Vegeta from behind the two, startling his purple haired son. "I would've thought the both of you would have been more experienced than to ask a question like that!" Vegeta yelled at them, mostly Trunks. "Alright then father, what're we missing here?" Trunks challenged Vegeta, trying to give the same steely glare as his father was. Vegeta looked at his son, "Hmph, you're as dense as your mother. If you haven't noticed he's accepted defeat," Vegeta said, making Trunks widen his eyes in shock.

Pan heard the exchange, a sudden question bubbling in her head. "Then why is he still standing?" Pan asked aloud, mostly directed at Vegeta. "Why doesn't he just stop the fight and just walking away while he's ahead?!" She asked, her temper slowly rising. While she may have noticed it, all the Z-Fighters, including Kira, could hear something in Pan's voice, almost like concern. Vegeta considered Pan's question coldly, only one answer came to mind. "Humans are still a mystery to me, even after all these years, they'll display random acts of cowardliness and then jump to sudden bravery like it was as simple as flipping a switch. But to be honest with you, Pan, his tenacity burns as hot as a saiyan's, as if a wild oozaru is trying to bust it's way out of that boy's skin." Vegeta admitted. Pan's eyes widened, never in her life had she heard Vegeta, former prince of all saiyans, give a compliment to a human, even one so peculiar.

Pan turned back to the arena; Goken stood, bloodied and near broken, laughing like he had been told he had won rather than lost. "He's a lot like grandpa when I knew him, whenever he got beat up he always pushed through the pain and found some way to win. No matter if it was Baby, Super 17, or any of the Shadow Dragons, he always found a way to win! But...this guy isn't grandpa, he's just a normal human, so why and how is he putting himself through all this?" Pan wondered to herself, her full attention now on Goken.

Raiyo was just about ready to drop and not move for another year he was so tired. Xander was now back on his feet, his head had finally quit ringing. Raiyo could've kept on attacking while Xander was down but two things had stopped him; one, he doubted he had enough energy left in him to stand up; second, it was below him to attack those who couldn't defend themselves, something he learned from Father Huel.

The two warriors faced each other once again, both on the opposite ends of the spectrum in terms of spirit. Xander stood with his entire body tensed and streaming with power, the irises of his eyes appeared a blood red color out of intense anger, and his long, spiky black hair was flailing over his brown skin. Raiyo, on the other hand, struggled to even keep his head up to look at Xander. His white gi now hung from his body in torn scraps, revealing his pink and bloodied skin. Raiyo blinked a couple of times to readjust the contacts in his eyes, "Funny, here I am getting beaten senseless by some superhuman and I'm worrying about a minor discomfort in my eyes."

Neither fighter moved or said a word, sizing up the other to see what their next move would be. Finally, Raiyo broke the tension, "I bet you're feeling pretty good about yourself, standing there all high and mighty while I'm still teetering on death!" Raiyo yelled at Xander, who yet showed no emotion. "But I want to get one thing straight, there is nothing you can do to me that would hurt worse than knowing that I hadn't come into this ring to truly test my limits, and for that I thank you." Raiyo said with a genuine smile, only just receiving the slightest look of confusion on Xander's face.

Kira couldn't find the words to describe her disbelief, because honestly she didn't think there were any. She stared at the one sided exchange between her brother and Goken, multiple thoughts running circles inside her head. "Why, why are you making it so hard to hate you?!?" Was one such thought, since her battle with Goken she was insistent on getting some form of revenge, even though it was usually against the family morals. But Goken was continuously making it difficult to actually hold a grudge against him, all because of his talk of righteousness or what he believes to be. It infuriated Kira, yet oddly charmed her.

She turned her thoughts back to the fight.

Raiyo had been standing in the same spot for nearly a minute, letting his words sink completely into everybody's heads. Suddenly, the smile was erased from Raiyo's mouth, replaced with an angry sneer, his teeth gritted and barred. "But you have to realize, I'm still standing, which means that there's still something standing in your way of victory." Raiyo proclaimed, almost like he was issuing a challenge. He pointed straight at Xander, "BUT IF YOU THINK THAT I'LL JUST ROLL OVER AND LET YOU TAKE AN EASY VICTORY THEN I MUST'VE KNOCKED A FEW THINGS LOOSE IN THAT BIG HEAD OF YOURS!" now Raiyo's pointed finger became a fist, smeared with the mixed blood of Xander and himself. "I may not become the champion today or ever in my lifetime, but I know that what I fight for is worth every broken bone in my body,"

"AND I'LL BE DAMNED IF I DON'T GIVE EVERY FIGHT MY ALL!" and with that, Raiyo rushed at Xander with fury in his eyes.

Xander was, for the most part of the fight, acting on rage and instinct. But, the longer Goken talked, the more he felt bits of his human composure return to him. Even so, his mind was still clouded with darker thoughts of bloodlust as he imagined crushing Goken's skull beneath his foot. Xander then returned back to reality just in time to see Goken trying to rush him, his strength clearly near exhaustion as evidence that he lacked his usual speed.

Time slowed to a crawl, making what happened next all the more sickening to watch. Raiyo was closing the gap between himself and Xander, his left arm outstretched to deliver another strike. Quicker than the eye could catch, Xander moved slightly to his right, barely avoiding the attack. He then shot out a hand and grabbed Goken by the wrist, gripping him hard enough to leave future bruises. Raiyo didn't even struggle as he looked in surprise at his captured wrist, already sensing the futility of escaping. All Raiyo could do was look up in horror as Xander hefted him off the ground. With one single, devastating blow, Xander sent his free fist flying at Goken's shoulder, dislocating it entirely.

The sickening 'POP' sound reverberated throughout the silent coliseum, it affecting Seida even more as she felt her heart drop into her stomach. Raiyo took a moment to register the injury, but once he did he let loose an ear shattering scream, one that resonated pain and agony.

Kira felt like she was about to be sick, right after crying in fear. The utter scream coming from Goken's mouth was enough to send chills down even the most hardest warrior's spines, even Gohan and Vegeta were affected by the wails of the injured fighter. "Xander," Kira whispered to herself, "What have you done?" She asked quietly, her lungs barely able to get air from sheer suspension.

Raiyo couldn't remember the last time he was in so much pain. Not only was his shoulder dislocated, but the way Xander was holding it caused the muscles to twist which caused them to bunch and knot in bad places. Even though the pain was unbearable, the sudden shock of pain put Raiyo's brain on alert and sent extra blood pumping throughout his body, waking up his tired limbs. Not even taking a second to think, Raiyo rocketed up his foot and connected squarely with Xander's lower jaw, a satisfying 'CRACK' could be heard. The force was sufficient enough to make Xander release his grip on Raiyo, causing him to fall on his back. Raiyo scrambled back to his feet, taking care not to stress his injured arm. Raiyo looked up to see Xander was still cradling his jaw, which now was spurting blood. Raiyo was breathing heavily, blood dripping down his face and his arm hanging lazily by his side.

Finally, something inside Raiyo snapped, his good hand clenched into a fist and he gritted his teeth, "To hell with fair play, I'M GOING TO BREAK YOUR FACE!" Raiyo yelled at the still staggering Xander, who was still too preoccupied to retort back. Using what little strength he had, Raiyo rushed at Xander. He used his good arm to slam a fist into Xander's midsection, causing him to cough even more blood. This went on for another few minutes, Raiyo taking advantage of the situation and wailed on an injured Xander, getting almost to the point that the scales had once again evened out.

That's not how it went, however, as Xander regained consciousness of the situation. He dodged the next attack and elbowed Goken in the chest, not hard enough to knock him down but just enough to give Xander some room. "Bastard." Xander whispered the insult underneath his breath. Using the space, Xander began to gather his energy and power himself up, his aura already appearing around his form. Goken wasn't so easily fazed, however, as he rushed back at Xander. "If you think that little intimidation tactic will save you then you have another thing coming!"

The two fighters met as Raiyo went in to elbow Xander, who promptly blocked it with his own arm. For a moment, neither one moved aside from trying to overpower the other. Xander's body began arcing with electricity, traveling across his arm and onto Raiyo. He barely noticed aside from a slight tingle across his body, his bad arm twitched sightly.

Xander leaned his head towards Goken, who was a good six inches shorter than he was. "I never intimidate, that implies I'm bluffing my power!" Xander snarled at Goken, who went wide eyed with fear. With a yell of indignation, Xander released a burst of power that sent Goken flying backwards, almost right to the edge of the arena. Xander didn't waste any time in regathering his energy, preparing one last attack to finish off his opponent.

Raiyo could feel he was about to go skidding off the edge. He stuck his good hand down, clawing at the tiles in order to stop himself. His feet had barely gone off the edge when he regained control, scrambling back into the arena. Raiyo stood up, only to see Xander winding up for another attack, something that Raiyo knew he couldn't dodge. "Damn, I wasted every last bit of my energy trying to fight him with one arm, and now he would be giving me a perfect chance for an easy win." Raiyo thought to himself.

Seida couldn't stop herself from shaking, every last instinct inside of her wanted to run down and try to protect Raiyo. "But then he'd just try and save me, and I might just make things worse if I try to be his hero this time." Seida reluctantly told herself, turning her attention back to, not a fight, but a beating.

"There's no way out of this," Raiyo thought nervously, already backed up to the edge. He began to think about what would happen if he was knocked out. "The most that would happen is that I don't get first place, I'm still making out like a bandit with the second place prize, which is more than enough to pay off the home!" The happy thought coursed through Raiyo, giving him a little extra determination. He assumed his fighting stance, a final challenge to his opponent. "WELL C'MON THEN, AS LONG AS I'M STANDING YOU STILL HAVEN'T WON!" Raiyo shouted at Xander, who slowly began to shake with anger.

"You dumbass." The collective of the Z-Fighters and Seida said at once.

"DON'T HOLD BACK, THAT WAS THE DEAL WASN'T IT?!?" Raiyo continued to antagonize Xander, who seemed to be at the end of charging his attack. "Alright then, try this on for size!" The voice coming from Xander seethed with, not only anger, but darker malice. Raiyo didn't have long to think about it once he saw Xander disappear, instinctively raising his good arm to block.

Half a second later, Xander slammed a fist straight into Raiyo's arm. Though it didn't break, the force was well enough to not only knock Raiyo from the arena, but send him flying into the stands.

"Move!" Uub pushed Pan away from him to save her from the body hurtling through the air. The impact was great enough to leave a crater in the concrete, scattering dust and debris around. Pan coughed, "Is everybody okay?" She asked, already expecting the answers. "We're fine, though the boy doesn't look so well." Vegeta said, looking down into the crater. Pan looked down and saw Goken lying there in the heap, large pieces of rubble covering him. Instantly, Pan's concern kicked in and she began digging him out.

As soon as Raiyo could feel anything in his body, he began to raise himself up, not really expecting who he first came face to face with. Raiyo looked into the eyes of an older woman, a very dark hue almost making them look black. Her glossy black hair was intertwined with a few strands of silver, but you'd guess they were from stress rather than age, due to her face looking no more than her early thirties. Raiyo couldn't take it anymore, the fatigue finally taking a complete grip on him. He would've fallen back into the rubble if the woman hadn't held onto him, cradling his limp body.

"LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, I GIVE YOU THE NEXT WORLD MARTIAL ARTS CHAMPION.... SON XANDER!"
