Fight Well, Goken! Xander Loses His Cool.

Xander took deep, steady breaths to try and calm his nerves. After seeing Kira lose to some guy in a rainbow rasta cap...well you can only imagine what kind of expectations that puts on her twin. Xander looked down once more to make sure his gear was situated properly; his hand me down orange gi standing as a testament to his lineage.

Xander heard a set of footsteps heading towards him, walking down the hallway just opposite of where Raiyo was preparing himself. Xander looked up at the face of his father, Uub, heading towards him. He looked like he had just been told the earth was again in danger and he was the only one who could do anything about it.

Once Uub got closer, however, he forced a confident smile at his son. Uub couldn't afford to worry his son, especially not over some kid acting like a smug celebrity.

"Nervous?" Uub asked Xander, he leaned on an adjacent wall to try and show that nothing bothered him. "A little, but wouldn't you be if you were supposed to fight a guy so insane that he defeated your twin looking like a Bob Marley/Ryu mutant combo?" Xander asked his father. Uub chuckled, "To tell you the truth, he's not the weirdest one I've seen in terms of enemies." The tanned warrior confessed, causing his son to raise an eyebrow of confusion. "Anyways, you shouldn't worry so much now. They are giving this Goken some recovery time due to him shredding his hands open on the arena floor, which they are still patching up." Uub said irritatedly. He honestly didn't like waiting this long for anything, a trait he most likely picked up from Pan.

"Yeah, maybe I can get in some practice time before I go out." Xander said uncertainly, his fingers drumming nervously on his legs. "If you need it, but don't let this guy get under your skin. "Remember this, his 'victory' was just a fluke, he's not a fighter in the slightest." Uub said with so much assurance in his voice that it was hard to not believe him.

15 minutes later.

Xander was left in complete silence, punching and kicking the air repeatedly. He didn't know why he was doing this; whether he was nervous, excited, angry, or just bored could be anyone's guess. It wasn't long until he once again heard footsteps, these were much lighter than his father's had been. Xander looked over and he was taken aback with surprise. There was that one girl, Seida he remembered, making her way sheepishly towards him. Xander could once again feel his face flush with heat as his eyes wandered down to her rather large chest.

It took him a few minutes before he realized that Seida was standing right in front of him. By then be had been staring at her breasts for a good three minutes. "You're lucky I'm not like most girls. Otherwise, I would've decked you right about now." She said with a sharp tone.

"Uhhh...huh." Was the only reply that come out of Xander's mouth. It took the fighter a couple of seconds to compose himself, he furiously tried to hide the blood coming from his nose. "Um, D...did you want something?" Xander asked, trying to play off his embarrassment coolly. Seida didn't even change expressions, "I was hoping I could persuade you to...take it easy on Goken during your fight." Seida said reluctantly, shifting from foot to foot. Xander was surprised by her request. "You mean you want me to let him win?!" Xander asked incredulously, not believing what was coming out of Seida's mouth. "She's one of his biggest supporters, so why ask for me to go easy other than to let him win?"

Seida went wide eyed once and realized the confusion. "No no, please, I just... He's my best friend and he's trying to go up against what are practically superheroes!" She said and gestured to Xander while also referencing to Kira. "He already pushed himself to his limit, and that was just his first fight! I'm not asking you to let him win, that would crush him more than if he had every bone in his body snapped in half, I'm just asking for a level playing field." Seida pleaded. She tugged lightly at the bottom of her small shirt just in case this turned into "that" kind of deal.

Xander sighed exasperatedly, knowing that if someone, like Kira, heard about this they would definitely have his hide. He looked up at Seida and noticed that her expression had changed from serious to that of concern, almost to a point of fear. "She really does cares for this guy, she's scared that I could kill him." Xander mulled the thought over in his head.

"Okay, I'll make sure to hold back as much as I need to." Xander told Seida with a reassuring nod. Seida felt as if the weight of the world was just lifted off of her shoulders. She then went in closer and wrapped Xander in a hug, tears started wetting his clothes. "Thank you... Thank you for this!" Seida cried into Xander's gi. Xander didn't know what to do, to be honest the only girls he regularly was around was his sister and his mother, both of which he had never seen cry...often.

Seida separated herself from Xander and was about to walk the way she came. A sudden thought came to mind and she just acted on it. She turned on her heel, leaned up, and planted a small kiss on Xander's cheek. He froze up as he tried to figure out what had just happened, his cheeks were flushed red. Seida giggled and her midnight hair swayed as she continued laughing. "Maybe I'll see you around, Xander." And with that she turned and walked back down the hallway, her hips swinging with each step.

Xander stood for a couple more seconds, blinked a couple of times, then fell against the wall behind him. "Why are girls so complicated?" He muttered to himself.

1 hour later.

It took some time but eventually the arena was patched up, only for it to face it's next challenge.

Raiyo couldn't stop his hands from shaking, which wasn't all that great for the healing process. Even still, Raiyo was feeling a lot better thanks to Seida's care. "Speaking of which, where did she run off to?" Raiyo asked himself. He didn't have long to contemplate as he then heard a gong sound off, signaling the beginning of the final round. "Whatever, she'll be watching from the balcony." Raiyo decided and began his trek back out to the arena.

The crowd was just as electric as ever, multiple fans cheering or booing for either fighter. Raiyo and Xander met up in the doorway, their eyes met as they gave the other a confident nod. "I hope I can expect your best out there." Raiyo said, his hand raised in a thumbs up. Xander looked at the mysterious fighter, this one random rainbow headed guy who just so happens to have his name, and felt excitement coursing through his veins. Xander may have faced off against more powerful opponents but they were all his family or close friends, all of which he knew that they were holding back. But this guy he was about to face was pulling no punches, giving it his all in the name of winning. "Of course, I wouldn't have it any other way." Which was a blatant lie, Xander knew, as the conversation with Seida popped into his head. Xander then realized who he was talking to, a normal human being with only above average strength and skill.

Xander then felt bad that he was now the one about to hold back...

The two fighters made their way to the arena floor, the cheering and screaming reaching a deafening volume. The two fighters separated and stood in their respective ends of the arena. The announcer spoke into his microphone, "LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, WELCOME ONE AND ALL TO THE FINAL BOUT OF THIS YEAR'S WORLD MARTIAL ARTS TOURNAMENT!" he yelled into the mic, his own excitement could barely be contained. "WHAT BETTER WAY TO PUT AN END TO THIS FEROCIOUS, YET SHORT, TOURNAMENT THAN TO HAVE THE MYSTERIOUS FIGHTER SON GOKEN," the crowd went wild once that name was said, even some of the Z-Fighters were cheering. "FACE OFF AGAINST THE TWIN BROTHER OF SON KIRA, WHO IS NO DOUBTEDLY HERE TO SEEK HIS REVENGE FOR HIS TWIN, SON XANDER!" And the entire stadium blew up with cheers and yells of excitement. Pan and Kira were a part of that cheering and could be considered the loudest there if the voices of a thousand different people weren't roaring over them.

The two fighters reveled in the praise for a good minute before coming to face each other. They each went into their respective stances, their muscles tensed to strike first. "THERE'S NO MORE TIME TO WASTE! READY....."

"BEGIN!"

The two fighters then disappeared and rushed each other, connecting in the middle of the arena. They met each other in a flurry of kicks and punches, both trying to overpower the other. Xander then broke the struggle to gain some distance. "I can see why Kira had such a problem, he's too unpredictable with his technique that I can't get an idea on his tactics." Xander mused to himself. He didn't have long to ponder on this as Raiyo was once again on top of him, closing the distance like nothing. Too late did Xander realize this and failed to dodge quick enough, earning a few hard jabs from his opponent. Without thinking, Xander sent a fist flying and made contact with Raiyo's midsection, sending him backwards. This gave Xander enough time to assess the damage, the impacts already bruising up darker than even Xander's tanned skin.

The Z-Fighters were just sitting there in confusion. "What's going on, he's not seriously on par with Goken is he?!" Kira asked her father, her eyes wide in shock. "There's no way, you've seen your brother fight and you know he surpasses even you!" Uub said, never taking his eyes off of the fight. "Well you don't have to rub it in," Kira said slightly offended. "I'm wondering why he's fighting with only a partial of his power. Didn't we agree that we would at most use fifteen percent?" Kira asked confused. "Isn't it obvious," came a voice from behind them. The two looked back to see Gohan, "He's holding back, I guess he's afraid he'll go overboard." Gohan explained, his eyes intently focused on the fight. "He wouldn't, he knows how dangerous that is!" Kira argued with her grandfather.

"He just wouldn't, he knows what happened last time he lost control."

Raiyo back flipped to avoid a wide roundhouse kick sent by Xander, his foot slipping slightly due to the smooth tile. Once Raiyo stopped flipping he rushed towards Xander with his right fist raised, aimed straight for Xander's head. Xander saw this but stood his ground. At the last second Raiyo dropped to the floor for a low sweep, exactly what Xander was expecting. Xander somersaulted into the air and leapt right over Raiyo's attack. Raiyo watched as Xander dodged so gracefully and stopped himself. He stood up and received a sharp blow to his head, knocking him backwards and onto the ground.

"Well, he certainly kept his word." Seida muttered to herself from her seat in the stands. She had decided against going back to the balcony in fear of getting herself caught by the cameras again. She had also donned a quick disguise in the form of a souvenir T-shirt, leather jacket, and ball cap. The problem was that this place didn't have any bathrooms to change in and Seida didn't own a bra, forcing her to change in the open and give every perv in the fighter's house a free and reluctant peep show, though Seida doubted they'd remember much due to the blood loss. Putting her attention back on the fight, she tried her best to make out what was happening and who was hitting who. Eventually she gave up and just decided to leave it to fate.

Xander came barreling towards Raiyo with his elbow out. Raiyo raised his right arm to block the attack but still went skidding across the floor once Xander made contact. Xander gave chase and started throwing rapid paced punches at Raiyo, who concentrated mostly on blocking and dodging. Suddenly Raiyo got and idea, his eyes glinted mischievously under his sunglasses.

Xander threw another punch but Raiyo was waiting for it. The punch sent Raiyo falling backwards but he used the given momentum to send his feet a high kick that connected squarely with Xander's jaw, sending the other fighter flying the other way. Raiyo quickly rolled to his feet just as he saw Xander landing on his back a little ways away from Raiyo. Xander wearily sat up and looked straight at Raiyo. Despite the obvious pain he was in, Xander regarded Raiyo with a cocky smile. "I never expected this much power from a regular person, I could only imagine what he would be capable of if he had proper training!" Xander thought excitedly, momentarily pondering whether he should forget about the deal to go easy on him.

"Why is he still messing around with him, this fight should have been over with a long time ago!" Kira berated angrily, her fists clenched. She was far beyond just wanting to fight him but now wanted personal revenge against Goken for making her lose. Pan noticed her daughter's irate expression and a look of concern crossed her face. She put a hand on Kira's shoulder, "Kira, are you feeling alright?" Pan asked worriedly. "No, I'm not. I was expecting Xander to be able to take care of this guy but he just keeps holding back to a bare minimum!" Kira told her mother irritatedly, shoving Pan's hand away from her. Pan looked at Kira with a hurt expression, "She's really upset over this, her pride is the most broken thing to come out of that fight."

Kira's fists clenched so hard that they now drew blood from her palm. Her head ached from her anger and she began to shake furiously. Kira closed her eyes and she could feel tears stinging in her eyes, one even ran down her cheek. She hated that she felt this weak and she hated that some stranger could make her feel like this, that thought made her grit her teeth adamantly. Finally the anger welled inside, her in kept rage bubbling upwards and to her lips.

Seida was actually enjoying the fight, even if she occasionally cringed when a hard enough blow was struck. She had been sipping on a straw in a cup filled with iced He-Tap when she heard it, that deafening cry that meant the end of this fight.

Xander stood opposite of Raiyo, both breathed heavily and parts of both of their clothes had been torn. Xander was now left bare chested, beads of sweat trailing down his chiseled body. Raiyo looked a tad bit better as he was taking extra care to make sure that his hat and glasses didn't fall off. Both fighters were sore and tired, neither wanting to attack the other in fear of what would happen. Then a shrill sound pierced the silence of the warriors, a cry very familiar to Xander.

"COME ON XANDER, DON'T LET THIS GUY GET AWAY WITH INSULTING US LIKE THIS! CLEAN HIS CLOCK ONCE AND FOR ALL!" Kira yelled at the top of her lungs, her anger had finally gotten the better of her. Xander looked up towards his sister, and immediately his world shattered. There was his sister, the stone cold warrior, crying as if she was being forced to watch "the incident" on repeat for all eternity. At this Xander felt something take hold of him, something he didn't like.

"Oh no, he's getting riled!" Pan said fearfully once she felt Xander's power rise. "He can't be, he'll kill that Goken kid!" Trunks yelled in a panic. Once she heard people talking around her, Kira opened her eyes and took notice of the scene taking place. Her overwhelming anger was all at once taken over by a feeling of dread when she saw Xander unleashing his full potential. She saw the tiles of the arena begin to lift up from their places in the floor as her brother's power climbed even higher. Her fear was then mixed with a deafening sense of guilt as she realized what she had done. "Oh God,"

Raiyo had no idea what was going on, other than the fact that Xander was now yelling and causing the arena to shake. To be honest, part of him was scared shitless as he watched this guy's anger begin to get the best of him. But another part, the reckless part, began to sweat with anticipation. He was now seeing what Xander was truly made of. Not thinking he yelled at Xander, "Hey Xavier, we going to fight or what!?" Raiyo yelled towards him, he got into his signature fighting stance with a cocky smile on his face.

"You dumbass." The Z-Fighters, Kira, and Seida seemed to say all at once.

Quickly, Xander turned towards Raiyo with a murderous look in his eyes. Without even hesitating her barreled towards Raiyo at breakneck speeds, going faster than Raiyo could keep up with. In an instant Xander was in front of him and rammed a fist into Raiyo's stomach, causing him to cough up blood. Xander continued to layer a barrage of punches down on Raiyo, who couldn't even move far enough to block them. For a solid two minutes this abuse went on while everyone watched, but for many particular people it was dragging on too long.

Seida's eyes were brimming with tears at the spectacle before her. Here she was, helpless to save her friend when he most needed her. Every few seconds that passed she swore she could hear a bone snapping even from her far away seat in the stands. She glanced at to where she knew those people that visited Raiyo where sitting. "They probably have something to do with this! I bet they planned this whole thing just to make sure they won everything!" She told herself angrily. Once she got a good look at them, however, she began to question that notion. They all held an equal sense of panic on their faces as they watched the fight, she noticed. As if they were just as horrified as she was at the brutal beating taking place. "That means they can't stop this, Raiyo is truly on his own!"

Raiyo now knew what punching bags felt like, if punching bags were giant slabs of meat that were probably hanging from metal hooks. Every part of his body was feeling sharp flares of pain every time Xander struck with his fists, and every part that had already been hit was starting to bleed from multiple impacts. Finally bringing himself from his near concussive stupor, Raiyo used his body weight to drop to the floor for another sweeping kick. But Xander anticipated it and jumped again. Raiyo watched helplessly as Xander then pulled his leg back and kicked Raiyo while in midair. Raiyo went flying but Xander was faster, he flew after Raiyo and caught up almost instantly. Xander cupped his fists together and slammed them into Raiyo, sending him crashing into the arena floor. Raiyo laid there, practically unmoving, amidst the dust that was settling from the broken tiles.

Xander was relentless in his assault as he grabbed Raiyo by the collar and hauled him up and out of the crater he made. Raiyo used what little strength he had to look at Xander, only to get sucker punched in the face.

With every hit, Kira could mentally feel the pain being inflicted on Goken, and it was gut wrenching. She had never wanted this to happen, and yet the guilt of knowing she had caused this weighed within her.

Xander continued his barrage of cheap shots on Raiyo, causing him to cough up considerable amounts of blood. Xander now couldn't think straight as his thoughts were becoming more simplistic, more violent, and strangely involving candy. Xander took a moment's rest to look his opponent in the eyes, only finding that he couldn't because of the sunglasses. Xander reached up to grab the glasses off of Raiyo, who noticed and was immediately on alert. Focusing what little be had in him, Raiyo propelled his foot forward and into the chest of Xander, which only seemed to irritate him.

Xander then balled his fist yet again and sent it hurtling into Raiyo's face, this time a hook punch that broke the glasses. It took Raiyo a minute to realize that his disguise was now down to just the hat, which held the biggest dead giveaway. No sooner had Raiyo thought that did Xander use his free hand and grab hold of the rasta cap and a chunk of Raiyo's hair in the process, causing Raiyo to yell sharply in pain. Xander then began spinning Raiyo by his hair as Raiyo fought desperately to keep the hat on. Eventually too much blood drained from Raiyo's head and he let his grip go on the hat. Eventually his hair lost its grip as was well when some of it was pulled out of his head along with the hat. Raiyo, now completely identifiable, went sailing off and landing roughly on the arena floor, his giant mass of spiky black hair falling around him.

Seida's breath caught in her throat as she watched her friend be unmasked for the world to see. Out of the corner of her eyes she saw cameras attempting to get close-ups of Raiyo, something that Seida was hoping wouldn't be a problem. Their entire plan had just fallen through, and their was only one person to blame.

"Xander..." Seida sneered angrily, her fists clenching hard enough to draw blood.

Raiyo has just been exposed! Will this be the curtain call for our wayward hero, or will fate intervene yet again to save him? Tune in next time for the next installment of Dragon Ball Revolutions!
