a will too strong to break
Ezra's eyelids opened slowly. His head hurt like he'd ran head long into a brick wall at top speed. An odd feeling of himself rising up and down caught his attention.
He glanced up and felt his fear and worry come flooding back. Maul, looking menacing as ever had his claws around the cub and was flying quite fast across a vast, rocky land.
Another dragon was beside him, grey with scars all over his body.
'Must be another Inquisitor' Ezra thought.
Deciding to keep his mouth shut for now, Ezra looked worriedly at the landscape ahead of them. It was stone and earth for miles. Not much to look at in Ezra's opinion.
Maul had noticed the cub's wakening but didn't say anything. He focused on his speed and mission to deliver the child to Tarkin.
Vader paced impatietly. The Empire and Shadow Packs either dosing or watching the Sith.
"You must not worry Vader, Maul has never failed me in the past" Tarkin growled.
"I don't care about his successes in the past, I care about him succeeding now" the Sith replied.
A beating of wings caught their attention, Maul and Falcon approached the packs. Maul threw Ezra at the ground, making the cub grunt in pain as he collided with the tough earth. He tried to stand but Maul put his claws on Ezra's forehead and forced it back onto the ground so he was bowing.
"On your knees before our alpha" he hissed.
Ezra glanced up to see Tarkin standing on the rocks making him even more nervous. Vader was here.
"What do you know. The Devil and the bird actually did it" Blade mocked.
Maul and Falcon snarled aggressively at the Inquisitor who didn't even flinch.
"Well done my Inquisitors. You've pulled off another mission that seemed was too easy for you" Tarkin said.
"Well, I'm surprised these two couldn't take down this piece of meat on their own. Then and again, even taking down a female cub was too difficult for you two idiots" Falcon smirked.
"The rest of the pack was there to protect Wren!" Blade snarled.
"Excuses won't help you, you know" Maul growled.
"Enough. Your setting a bad example for our guest" Thrawn said stepping out from behind the trees making everyone look round.
Ezra instantly knew he didn't like this guy. How often do you come across a dragon with red eyes? Vader was acceptable because he's a Sith, but Ezra knew this guy definitely was not.
"Thrawn. What did you find?" Tarkin asked.
"Everything and everyone is accounted for sir."
"Excellent. That means the Ghost pack wont stand a chance against our attacks."
Ezra grunted as he tried to struggle out from underneath Maul's talons but a look from Tarkin silenced him.
"Oh I apologize child. I haven't introduced myself. I am the alpha of the Shadow Pack, Moff Tarkin."
Ezra suddenly snorted.
"What's so funny?" Maul growled.
"He said Moth Tarkin" Ezra replied.
"It's all to do with spelling and pronunciation boy" Tarkin growled then looked at Vader.
"Are you sure this is the one you want?" He asked.
"Maul could eat him if you wanted."
Ezra glanced nervously up at the red and black dragon above him.
"No. I need a Padawan, ask him about the rebels. You might get an answer."
Tarkin turned back to the scene.
"Ezra Bridger, that is your name is it not? You've sided with a pack of traitors, you've been minipulated ino believing their fairy tales."
"Just like what your trying to do now?" Ezra asked with a raised eyelid.
Tarkin glanced at the boy, he was smarter then he looked. He rolled his eyes and began pacing.
"Considering you've been with them for a while, you must know some things we'd die to get our hands on."
"You're still not getting it" Ezra mumbled.
"So, if you don't spill, we'll have to force it out of you."
Tarkin stopped pacing and looked over at Ezra.
"So child, do you have anything to tell us?"
Ezra looked at the ground before nodding.
"Well?"
Ezra looked up.
"Go suck rocks."
"Why you little...!" Maul shrieked.
Maul swung his claws down on to Ezra who immediately cowered. But the searing pain never came, Ezra never felt it.
He looked up.
Green claws were connected with Maul's, a look of undescribable rage and hatred on the dragon's face.
"Get away from my Padawan you bitch" Kanan rumbled.
Then using the Force, Kanan threw the Dark side wielder into the trees. The other dragons were staring at Kanan like they'd lost their minds.
"I've got a fire in my belly that needs to get out. Who wants some?" Kanan roared striking into a battle ready pose.
"Kanan! Your back!" Ezra cried out face full of happiness.
Kanan looked over at the cub and smiled softly. Ezra noticed the scars on Kanan that weren't there before and knew they were from the cavern.
"I'll always come back" he purred before losing the gentle expression and turning back to his enemies.
"FIGHT ME!" He hollered.
Okay I have two things to apologize for.
1. The coarse language. Sorry about that, just felt like it was necessary there. 2. This is a cliffhanger.
Now I'm going to leave before you guys kill me.
Bye!!!!
