"Why want you to sing with me?", a raven black haired girl asked. It was an usual Monday morning in Casper high. "Sweetie, your voice and mine are a perfect match. And obviously we can win this contest.", a Hispanic girl responded and pointed to a poster near the lockers. Sam was confused. Her arch enemy, Paulina Sanchez, asked her to sing with her at the song contest. "Are you sure you're okay?", she asked, Paulina nodded. Sam sighed, "what are we gonna sing?", the Hispanic girl smiled widely and took her cell to hone out of her pocket. She opened the music app and started playing a song. "I thought, since we have a hero here in Amity Park, we can sing this.", she explained and smiled. Sam nodded. "Sure, even if I can't believe it, I like this song.", she said and smiled too.

The two girls met everyday after school. They practiced this song good. "So, than we can sing this part together...", Paulina pointed to the chorus. "... and this can you sing, Kay?", she asked with her high pitch voice. Sam nodded and studied the lyrics.

"Hey, dude. Where's Sam?", Tucker asked his best friend. Danny shrugged. "Maybe she forgot to come.", he suggested but Tucker shook his head. "You know we talk about Sam. She can't forget something like this.", Tucker answered and pointed to the new doomed game. "Tucker, you're right. What if a ghost kidnapped her?", Danny said with his arms waving in the air. "I could look.", Tucker said and put his PDA out of his pocket. "You put a chip in her. What would she do if she knew about it?", Danny asked. "You have one too. And I put a chip on you and Sam, cause if something like this happen again, I would know where you were.", Tucker explained and his PDA gave a noise. "She's where?", the two of them said in unison.

"...I need a Hero.", Sam and Paulina finished the song. They sat down on the floor and smiled. "You think it was good?", Paulina asked and shocked Sam. "Wait, are you really asking me if that was good?", she asked and Paulina nodded. "Who are you and what did you do to Paulina?", Sam asked jokingly. "I'm just kidding. I think- know that we were good.", Sam said with a huge smile. "Good, the only question is: what should we wear?", Paulina said and ran to her wardrobe. Sam shook her head and sighed. "That's not important.", she said and walked to the other girl who was throwing different pieces of clothes through her room. "I found it. AND it isn't pink.", Paulina said and smiled.

"Sam, where were you yesterday?", Danny asked when he entered Sam's room. "Danny, hi to you too. And I had something to do.", she said and crossed her arms. "What did you do?", he asked and turned from ghost to human. "That's none of you business.", Sam said harshly. "Sorry, I'm just tired.", she apologized and yawn. "Oh, but you didn't answer my question.", Danny said and took a step forward. "You can see what I did tomorrow.", she smiled and Danny returned the smile.

It was the day of the school contest. Many people, mostly parents, were there. Many students were sitting in the audience. Also many students were part of the contest like Sam and Paulina. The first one was a girl who was playing the piano, she had wrote. An other were dancing with his partner. Others were singing or playing the guitar. All of them were good. But Danny and Tucker weren't paying attention to them. They searched Sam. She said that she was in the contest. But they would never thought that she would be part of it.

"Now, we have only three more talents here. The next are Sam Manson and Paulina Sanchez.", Mr. Lancer announced but was shocked -like the other students- when he read out loud the names. Danny and Tucker's eyes widened in shock. The said one girls were going on
Stage with microphones. Sam was wearing a golden suit with a golden cape and Paulina wore a black body hugging suit with cat ears. The music starts and Paulina began to sing.

Sam and Paulina were standing in the middle of the stage and wind blow her cap behind her, like in the films where the hero was standing.

The girls still standing their were exhausted. The breathed deep and smiled huge. The audience began to clap louder and louder. Danny and Tucker's eyes still widened, were whistling and smiling. "That's my girl" or "that's my daughter", were heard from the audience. The two girls left the stage and went backstage. "That was awesome", Paulina said and hugged Sam. "Yeah, it was amazing. Thank you.", Sam said after Paulina released her. "Why are you thanking me?", Paulina asked confused. "It was your idea to perform.", Sam replied and her smile grew wider.

"Sam, you were awesome out there.", Danny said when he reached the two girls. Sam blushed and smiled. "Thank you. But it was Paulina who said we should perform.", Sam said and hold Paulina's hand. "You were awesome too.", Danny said.

After Paulina and Sam were an other guy who rapped and the last one was someone doing a magic show. Mr. Lancer went on stage and announced the winners. "This was our last performance. After seeing this... um, magical show, I announce happily our winners. And our winners are...", he took the letter out of the envelope. "Our winners are Samantha Manson and Paulina Sanchez.", he yelled and the said one girls came back on stage and the audience began to applaud again. But this time louder than before. Paulina hold the trophy and Sam was holding the microphone. "Wow, I don't know what to say.", Sam said and hold the microphone to Paulina. "Thank you for letting us win. It was a hard time. Since Sam and I aren't he best of friends. We managed to cooperate and now we're here. Thank you again.", Paulina said professional and smiled.
