"OW!"
Angada Mohan released a loud shout of pain as his left hand shot to clutch his head, pain shooting straight in to his body since he had been victim to an attack.
"What'd you do that for?!?"
"Funny."
Nanda Mohan let a smirk fill up her face, her dark eyes sparkling with mischief at the fact that she had been right on target.
She was stood at the opposite side of her apartment to where her brother was, and yet, she had managed to throw her shoe straight at his head and get it right on target.
Then again, he did have a big head, so it wasn't hard to miss.
"You're such an idiot." Angada released a groan, lightly rubbing his head, his dark brown curls getting slightly tangled in between his fingers, a slight pout upon his soft pink lips.
"And you're boring as hell." Nanda rolled the dark of her eyes at her older brother, a light scoff leaving her painted red lips, her dark hair braided loosely.
"I'm not boring, I'm just more mature than you."
"Boring."
"More mature."
"Boring."
"No, I am just a lot more mature than you, you're incredibly childish and immature." Angada released a frustrated groan, knowing that his little sister had a habit of doing stuff like this, annoying him by calling him names.
"Fine, you're old and boring."
"I'm a year older than you!"
Nanda snickered as she heard her brothers voice raise both in pitch and in volume, knowing that she had successfully managed to get under his skin and annoy him, which is what she always tried to do every single day.
She considered it payback for all the times that he had blamed stuff that he'd done on her when they were kids.
Like when he had blown up the microwave when he was eight because he had put an astronaut made out of aluminium foil in to it, which had caused the thing to explode.
He had blamed that on her.
She hadn't even liked astronauts when she was seven years old, no she had liked Barbie dolls, but apparently he hadn't thought of that at the time.
The pair had always had gotten each other in to trouble throughout their childhood wherever they lived, whether it was Greenwich in London, or New Dehli in India, it was their thing.
They were siblings, of course they were going to fight and bicker and attack one another. They were only a year apart, and that caused them to argue a lot more because they were treated as if they were the same age, but they weren't.
"Can you guys just shut up and let me sleep, for once?"
Jared Abbott released a grunt as he lifted his head up from where it was rested on the sofa, a pillow underneath his head since he had been attempting to sleep.
Attempting.
"Get your own place then you can sleep."
"Fuck You."
The Abbott man cursed underneath his breath, since he had been living on the sofa of his best friend's sister for the past four months, having needed a place to stay when he was evicted from his apartment because he could not afford the raise in the rent, and Nanda had been the only person able to take him in.
His dark blonde hair was all over the place as he lifted the pillow out from underneath his body to place over his face to muffle their bickering, since he knew that they would in fact, not shut up and would continue their argument.
He squeezed the blue of his eyes shut, wishing that for once that they would, but he knew them better than that.
"See! You're so immature!"
"I'm immature? I'm not the one with a life size figurine of Barney the Dinosaur in my spare bedroom!"
"You don't have a spare room!"
"No, but I still take in your stupid friends because you don't!"
"HEY! Less of the stupid please!" Jared shot up as the insult left the younger Mohan's lips, a slight glare on his face as he stared at her, seeing her nonchantly waving her hand at him as if it didn't matter.
"Also, bro, what the fuck? I couldn't stay at yours because of a dinosaur figurine?"
"I don't want it to get damaged, it cost a lot of money and it's part of my childhood!" Angada shot his hands up in a defensive manner, seeing how his friend and his sister were both staring at him in disbelief.
"What do you think I'm doing when I'm asleep? I'm not doing the fucking Macarena with the dinosaur." The Abbott man rolled the blue of his eyes, a light scoff leaving his lips, a feeling of offence filling his body.
"That's why your friends prefer me over you. You have your dinosaurs back but not theirs." Nanda snickered, lifting both of her hands up to flip her brother off, heading towards her kitchen so that she could make herself a salad.
It was strange, having Jared living with her on her sofa, but he had been desperate when he had come to her for help, so she knew that she had to take him in, and it wasn't actually that bad.
She wasn't used to having a housemate, but he would pay for groceries as a thank you for letting him stay, and he would also bring fresh flowers every week since he knew that Nanda loved having flowers due to their natural floral smell.
He was good with cooking too, the only difference being that he loved meat in his food whereas she was a vegetarian, so if he was cooking then he would make sure to cook the meat separately and then add it to his food once it was on the plate.
It was like having a brother whilst already having one.
He was better than her actual brother.
"I'm being ganged up on so I called reinforcements." Angada shouted loudly throughout the apartment, making the exhausted Abbott man swear repeatedly at how he could never get some sleep.
"Who'd you call? Ghostbusters?"
Nanda rolled the dark of her eyes, grabbing an extra plate out of her cupboard since she had a pretty good idea who her brother had invited.
The sound of the front door opening and closing made her smirk since she knew that she was right, only one other person walked straight in, since the others would always ring the doorbell.
"Hey! Tweedledum! Do you want some salad?"
"Hell yeah!"
Curtis Shaw shouted back to his friends sister with a grin upon his face as he walked through her apartment before quickly running back to the door since he had forgotten to take his shoes off, before he eventually arrived in her kitchen where she was leant against the kitchen counter looking smug.
"See, reinforcements!"
"Who's reinforcements?" Curtis furrowed his eyebrows together in confusion, hearing Nanda laughing at the annoyed look on her brothers face.
"You!"
"Oh, I just came for the food but sure, Angada's backup is here." The Shaw man grinned with his usually cheeky smile, dimples forming around his eyes from its intensity, his blue eyes sparkling with happiness.
"You'reembarrassingmeinfrontofmysister."
The elder Mohan sibling whispered not so quietly towards the Shaw man, who's smile had still not faded, then again it was only his third time being in Nanda's apartment so he was still partly overwhelmed by that.
He didn't want to feel like he was intruding in her home and even though he hadn't knocked, he knew that she didn't mind. He never knocked when he was seeing any of his friends, it was a habit, well that and he would tend to forget that it wasn't his apartment.
"Why do you even need back up? It's not like I can fight! If Nanda hits me, I'll end up flopping on the ground like a salmon!"
Nanda couldn't help but chuckle at the thought of that.
Maybe she would test that theory.
"Well you're pointless then!"
"I know! I can't help it! I've got weak wrists!"
"Strengthen them!"
"No! Because if I did, you'd get me to fight Nanda or Jared and I can't do either of those! Jared will crush me like a bug!" Curtis whined, his eyebrows furrowed together in to a frown, his bottom lip sticking out in a pout.
"I would." Jared chuckled as he walked in to the kitchen, lightly fistbumping the younger Mohan.
"Well I can't fight them, can I?" Angada complained back to his friend, his hands lightly flapping around as both Curtis and himself bickered back and forth, not noticing how his sister was relishing in it.
"Why not?"
"Because he's a pussy." Nanda and Jared smirked, chuckles leaving their lips in unison, the duo sharing yet another fistbump.
Angada released a scoff, lifting his hand up to aggressively point at his younger sister, his dark eyes narrowing in to slits.
"See! Immature and childish!"
"Oh, you're one to talk, bitch!"
