Bakugou walked along the sidewalk, regret filling his gut. Earlier during school that day, he had told his childhood friend, Midoriya, to take a swan dive of a roof. He hadn't realized the impact it would have when he said it, but now he realized how much it must've hurt Midoriya. Bakugou would have to apologize next time he saw him.

Oh, there he is, over on the other side of the road. Just then, he stepped off the sidewalk, onto the street.

A car sped his way, unbeknownst to Midoriya. Bakugou's eyes widened with shock as he yelled, "DEKU, WATCH OUT!!!!" But it was too late. The car had already hit. Blood splattered everywhere.

The car passed without stopping, causing for Bakugou to growl. Bakugou ran over to Midoriya, who lay on the ground, completely still. Bakugou quickly felt for his pulse, but he didn't feel it. Bakugou felt panic surging through his body, and tears brimmed his eyes. He wasn't supposed to go like this!! Bakugou turned to his backpack, in hopes to call the ambulance before he died.

When he turned to look at Midoriya again, the body was gone.

It had been weeks since Midoriya died. Bakugou spent his nights crying to himself, wishing he had been better to Midoriya. Inko wasn't doing much better, she had cut off all contact with everyone other than the Bakugous. Even then, she was a shell of herself, not even taking proper care of herself.

Mitsuki had to practically force her to eat and sleep, and even then, she was sure Inko stayed awake most of the night.

Bakugou sighed misserably, staring at the ceiling. He didn't deserve to be sad, he and Midoriya were never actually friends. He had always harmed Midoriya because he was quirkless!

He was such a stuck up brat, to bully Midoriya like that... he felt so very guilty for what he did to Midoriya.

He wouldn't do it ever again. That's what he told himself. He would never bully anyone again.

It was sad that this is what it took for him to make that decision.

He groaned, rolling out of bed. He needed to do his homework.
