- Chapter 8 -

Uncontrollable Blush

Mercenary's POV

- At School -

Jason and I quickly hopped out of my car and ran into the school. We quickly walked through the hallways looking to see if we found anyone from the gang.

Then my eyes landed on Kimberly I pulled Jason towards me and yelled, "Kimberly Hart !"

This had quickly caught not only her attention but everyone in the hall as well. But seeing as there was bigger matters at hand I ignored them.

As I got closer to Kimberly and pulled her and Jason to the side and then we all just looked at each other.

"Okay look I know that we all went through some weird shit, okay." I stated and they both nodded in agreement.

"We got hit by a train yesterday how are we still alive?" Jason asked.

"More importantly how did we get home? I don't recall every walking home." I said looking at them both.

"Okay but what are we going to do?" Asked Kim with pure confusion. Jason and I glanced at each other and nodded.

Jason then began, "We're gonna find the others," and then I finished, "And we're going to figure it out together."

Kimberly looked at both of us slightly smirking and nodded. Then we all told each other that we would meet up in the cafeteria, and I said that I would find BIlly.

Walking down the hall where I knew was Billy's locker was, I saw Redhead walk up to him. Oh no, why does he want so much goddam attention.

I see him slap Billy's binder out of his hands and billy just looks up at him. I then see redhead begin to pull at Billy's hand but can't.

He obviously has anger issues, because then he goes to head butt Billy.

Only for him to fall to the ground in pain, this caused everyone in the hall to turn and look. "Hey guys Billy just beat him up! Go Billy!" Some random kid says.

I rush grab onto Billy's arm and walk us to the cafeteria. Once we're inside I spot Kimberly and Jason, who has a major blush. I wonder what that's about.

Im not jealous, but why do I feel jealous?Ignoring it I motion for Billy to follow me.

As we neared them I could hear Billy's friends whisper, "Woah since when did Billy talk to Mercenary Williams and Kimberly Hart?" Another also said, "Billy is so cool."

We went at the near back of the lunch line and huddled together. Jason stared at me for a bit for some unknown reason then looked at the ground. I just decided to ignore it.

When I looked away from Jason I caught Kimberly looking at me smirking. I also ignored that.

Then Kimberly began, "Hey Billy do you feel uh weird?" she asked all of us looking in his direction. "You mean weirder than usual?" he asked.

Kim and I looked at eachother, "Yeah different," we said while pulling out our stones and placing them on the cafeteria counter.

"Oh right yeah," Billy said pulling out his and placing ot near ours.

Then Jason jumped in and placed his down as well. "Okay now listen something happened up there," "Obviously Einstein." I interrupted in which I received a look from him.

"I don't feel the same," he finished saying.

Then Billy, with a smile on his face, "Yeah I'm strong." I then butted in, "Yeah insanely strong. Look guys we have to go back."

We all looked at each other and nodded in agreement. Then the weirdest thing happened, all of our stones began to float in the air. We each slammed them down one by one.

"Is it me or is the counter boiling?" Jason asked. And before anyone could respond everything on the cafeteria counter started exploding and splattering on everyone.

"We'll meet after school by my car and I'll drive us there okay?" I told everyone we all nodded and went our separate ways. But Jason and I walked together.

"Hey uh," Jason started scratching the back of his neck, "Can I walk you to class?"

"Sure why not." I told him smiling in his direction. He smiled back with a slight blush tinting his cheeks.

We then began to walk to my class. "Oh crazy my class is right next to yours." Jason says in realization.

"Yeah not that crazy Jason." I say laughing at how adorable that was. If even possible he blushes even more and looks down to the ground smiling.

"Yeah you're right. Well I'll see you after." He tells me once we near my class.

"Of course later gator." I tell him we both laugh and enter our classes.
