- Chapter 5 -

Flying into Your Arms

Mercenary's POV

Jason and I began running to where he had left Billy. Which was exactly where a bomb had exploded. While running all I could think about was if Billy was okay.

And then I stepped on a rock with my bare foot. "Ow fuck man!" I exclaimed in obvious pain. Jason stopped in his tracks and turned to me with a worried expression.

"Are you okay what's wrong?" As he began to run towards me I stopped him, "Yeah I'm fine keep on running Billy could be hurt."

I ran passed him and then he also began to run. When we got closer to where Billy was a man pulled Billy and yelled at him, " Hey what're you doin dude!" We slowed down a bit when we neared them.

"I've been digging up here for some years!" Billy exclaimed obviously his ears were affected by the bomb.

I then ran and pushed the guy off Billy and Jason went to check on Billy. "Hey man do we got a problem!" I yelled at the guy.

He immediately backed off and pointed at Billy, "I've seen him around here before." Jason stood in front of me like a barrier blocking the guy from me, as if it were a natural instinct.

"Alright man back off." Jason told the guy. Then Billy began yelling, "I'm just tryin' to dig a little deeper! Maybe I dug too deep huh!"

Jason and I turned to Billy and simultaneously told him, "Billy you don't have to yell we can hear you."

"Alright, okay." Billy said calming down, out of the corner of my eye I saw someone running towards us. I then turned and saw it was Kimberly.

"Hey Kimberly I thought you left?" I asked. "No I thought I told you I was going for a hike. What happened here?" she asked while slowing to a stop next to me.

Before I could reply I heard a familiar person shout out, "Hey you you guys lookin to get busted or somethin' this place is a restricted area!"

We all turned to see Trini, "Hey T!" I yelled out while waving she smiled and waved back.

Then the random guy said, " Awe really Einstein restricted," Billy pushed past the guy running towards the rocks he exploded.

"As in we shouldn't be standin' on rocks doin crazy karate moves right?" The random guy asked Trini.

I saw Billy begin to stare at the wall oddly the wall which made me curious so I slowly began to walk near him.

"Oh yeah or uh sittin on abandoned trains right? I see you too home boy." Trini exclaimed back. "Uh guys." Billy stated.

Billy then touched the wall and pulled back quickly. "Oh no," I quietly said. I then saw Jason looking at me confused.

The rocks began to fall causing Trini to fall and scream. Billy also began to run and protect himself. I felt an arm wrap around my waist and pull me into their chest in a form to protect me.

Once all the rocks stopped falling I looked up to see who was on top of me to see Jason. "Are you okay?" he asked me checking to see if I was hurt and lightly touching my forehead where I knew there was possibly a cut.

I nodded, "Are you?" He nodded then stood up extended a hand and lifted me up. He began to ask everyone if they were okay.

"Woah," was heard from Billy as he began to stand up staring at the wall where the rocks fell from. "What is that?" We all began walking towards what seemed like a giant wall of glass.

With flashlights in our hands we pointed it at the wall. We all began touching the wall inspecting it. "I've never seen glass like this before." Billy stated.

"Oh my god." whispered Kimberly and she's right to say so this wall is odd looking. "What is that?" "There's something in there." stated Kimberly.

"Hey, hey move watchout watchout!" random guy yelled while beginning to break the glass with a hammer. Everyone then began yelling at him "What are you doing!" "Seriously!" "No No No!"

But he ignored us all and continued breaking the glass. "Uh yeah." he said when a small piece of it fell to the ground. Kimberly immediately bent down to inspect it and found a pink stone inside of it.

"My dad always knew the right spots," Billy said to Jason. And the random guy continued to break the glass which only caused Billy and I to yell out, "No no no no!"

When a piece fell off he lifted it off the ground and looked inside it while Jason provided light.

The guy then began breaking the piece into smaller pieces to get what was inside. "No no no don't break it!" Jason and Billy told him but it was no use he continued breaking it. "Oh well you broke it," I stated.

We all each then grabbed a stone of our own. Billy blue, Kimberly pink, Trini yellow, guy black, Jason red, and I found a white one.

They all began to glow a bit which surprised me. "What is that?" asked Kim.

Random guy the began to point at all of us, "Alright look we all found these, are they worth any money." I rolled my eyes at him, "Uh no you're wrong Billy found them." I told him and Jason said, "Yeah dude chill out."

Then alarms began to ring and Kimberly stopped them from continuing to fight, "Hey hey guys do you hear that?" We all looked at each other while we listened.

Then the random guy said in realization, "Security." Trini then reminded everyone, "Someone should've pointed that out. Oh no wait I did."

Everyone then began to run. Jason yanked Billy and I to begin running. But instead, like an idiot, I ran to put on my shoes.

Jason then began yelling at me, "Come on Williams let's go!" But I told him, " Go go without me!" and once I put my other shoe on I began running with random guy who had, with a motion of a hand, told me to follow him.

While we were running all I could think about was how stupid I am to be getting myself in these situations. We were running on a cliff and we then saw a van driving at full speed.

"I'm gonna jump I suggest you do it too!" random guy stated. At first I was gonna yell at him and tell him how crazy he sounded but then I realized that was the only we way we'd be able to get away.

So I nodded but he didn't see me seeing as he had already jumped.

I the heard Jason yelling at me again, "Williams you gotta jump! Come on I got you!" At first I was scared but for some reason hearing that he has me got me to push a little faster and jump off the cliff towards the van.

It felt as if I was flying with my hair being pushed back by the wind. It felt as if I was in a dream.

I then felt the contact of the top of the van bringing me back to reality and out of the dream. I grunted out in pain and felt an arm pull me into the van.

"Hey you okay?" Jason asked. "You've asked me this so many times today which is more than anyone has ever asked me." I laughed out my response closing the van door and brushing him off.

He looked at me with sadness in his eyes but didn't tell me anything seeing as there was something more important at hand. "Yo the train is catchin' up." Trini exclaimed worried for her life.

"Look there's the railroad crossing that's the way out Billy." Jason said having full faith that we'll make it.

I on the other hand yelled out, "We're not gonna make it!" But Billy pushed on the gas harder causing me to fall back onto Jason. Jason and random guy then said , "He's got it."

As the train got closer Trini and Kimberly yelled out, " He don't got it!" "Yeah he definitely doesn't!" But Billy just kept going and the train got closer.

Yeah Billy definitely didn't have it because next thing I know is that the train hit us and I blacked out.
