Chapter 5

I sat with Silas for a little longer before it was dinner. I was forced to eat, even though I didn't want to. But training started tomorrow, and I needed it to compete with children of Ares and Victory.

After eating some chicken, and sacrificing a bit, I turned in for sleep. I soon regretted it though.

-*-Dream-*-

I was hiding in a tree, across from Natalie.

"We know you're around here, come on out and we won't hurt your boyfriend" a male voice said mockingly. I looked down and saw Silas, with his back on a spear. He looked about ready to kill someone, but a twinge of regret was hiding in his expression.

"Come on out, or he dies. Or better yet, maybe we just leave him here with a spear in his stomach" He mocked again, right before Natalie got ready to jump down off of her branch.

"Noo!" I yelled, waking up. Trying to control my breathing was one thing, realizing I had seen the future was another. At least, I hope it wasn't the future. The problem with being a child of Apollo is not getting normal nightmares, we get visions of future events. Which means sometimes we get a peaceful sleep if nothing wantsto be revealed.

Yeah, not feeling much better. But I'm normal now. It's almost five AM, so it seems about reasonable to get breakfast. I make my way to the kitchen, where none other than Natalie was sitting and eating sone strawberries.

"Good morning" she said happily.

"Good morning" I replied, trying not to think about what I had seen. I knew this sort of thing would happen, right?

As I was fixing a bowl of oatmeal, a thought struck my mind. Where was William? And where was I?

I couldn't dwell on this matter, however, because at this time William himself decided to show up. After looking at me, he had a look of terror, and looked down. He changed his expression and looked back at me. I tried to act as if I hadn't seen it, but I knew something would happen.

"Hey, what's up?" I asked.

"Uh, can we talk? Alone?" he says, looking nervous. Natalie got the hint and went back to her room.

I walked over to the table, "What's wrong?"

He sat acorss from me, "I had a vision last night..."

"Oh?"

"Yeah, uh, this is awkward, but do you like Silas more than me? As a friend?"

I looked at him for a moment, not giving any emotion. "Well, it depends. But we have been friends a lot longer, more trust"
