[M. Osamu] Save Me

[20.03.25 reupload w/o edit.]

Soulmate! AU

There's a meter of how in danger their soulmate is and a compass towards their soulmate on one's left arm.

-------

Walking along the deserted area of Hyogo Prefecture was Miya Osamu, who was enveloped with thick winter coat, along with a pair of gloves and boots to fight against the cold weather. Saturday nights were always spent by walking around his neighborhood, making quality time with himself.

The temperature was colder than he thought. He heaved out a sigh, which turned into a small fog. His teeth had started to chatter uncontrollably; the warmth he got was only from the small cup of coffee he bought a few moments ago, and it did not help at all as the cold wind started to blow harder with each minute passed.

Osamu brought the cup up to his pale-looking lips, sipping the coffee in hopes of getting warmer. Though, something seemed to catch his attention; his left sleeve that went down when he lifted the cup.

His eyes then widened; his heart as if stopped beating.

He didn't know what had possessed him that made him dump the rest of his coffee down to the snow covered road. But still, he ran and ran, eyes switched gaze from his arm to the road in front of him.

He knew he was getting closer when he heard a few shuffling, sometimes a muffled scream which got louder and louder with each large step he took.

Before he knew it, he found himself near a bar with ear-piercing music and drunk people swaying here and there.

Then, a scream brought him back from his daze.

Using his instinct to locate the source of the scream, he finally found someone- or two -at the far corner or the alley.

His eyes made contact with a pair of (E/c) colored ones through the dimly lit area. Tears were threatening to come out of her eyes, pleading Osamu to save her.

And he did.

"Thank you," the girl finally spoke up. Osamu was leaning on the wall all the time, looking at her as she calmed herself down after the traumatizing event.

Osamu nodded, before extending his hand to help her stand up; in which she accepted.

He noticed that she wasn't hurt physically, maybe just a scratch or two, and he was grateful of that.

He sneakily looked at the meter and the compass that painted his left arm; the meter has came down, meaning that his soulmate was not in danger.

Then, the compass.

A smile took over his face unconsciously as he glanced sideways to the girl. She might be oblivious at the fact that he was her soulmate, but Osamu didn't mind; it's not like he took an immediate crush on her- it didn't work that way.

Heck, he didn't even know what was her name.

Osamu had offered her to visit a coffee shop nearby- since he basically dumped his unfinished one. He could also get to know her better. The girl accepted his offer, and was walking side-by-side with him. The two didn't speak, instead enjoying the silence that lingered around them.

The coffee shop wasn't far from where they both first met, and so they had arrived within a walk of eight minutes. Osamu walked inside first, craving for warmth that the shop offered. He got an immediate turn to order, since the shop was closing soon and there was less customers than ever.

"Ah, Osamu-kun! The usual?" He nodded in approval then waited for the girl's order.

"A cup of Latte, please."

Osamu was on the way of taking out his wallet when the girl quickly paid for both of their orders, making the former raise an eyebrow in confusion.

"You saved me. That's the least I can do to repay you," she explained nonchalantly.

The two went to sit on a table of two after they got their drinks. Twenty minutes has passed and somehow, they had found themselves immersed to the conversation they shared- as if they had known each other for a long time.

Osamu let out an amused laughed at the girl's- in which she had introduced herself as (L/n) (F/n)- stories about how clumsy her brother was.

'She probably hasn't found out about it,' Osamu thought, silently eyeing (F/n) as she blabbered another story.

'Well, I guess it's okay, I can live with that.'

He took a sip of his coffee, before humming at it's pleasant taste. On the other hand, (F/n) looked at him in confusion as he suddenly lacked in response, but Osamu paid no mind to it.

"You're going to South Korea tomorrow, right?" He suddenly asked.

(F/n) nodded her head, and Osamu returned one curtly.

"Safe flight, I guess," he muttered.

The girl let out a small thanks as Osamu glanced at the coffee shop's clock, noticing how late it was.

"It's late. Do you want me to accompany you back?" He offered, but (F/n) shook her head and stood up, Osamu doing the same after.

"I've gave you enough trouble already. So it's okay." She gave him a smile.

"Thank you for the wonderful night, Osamu-kun."

And so, with a bow, she walked out.

Osamu sighed, before walking out himself, enjoying the night sky for a little while. Then, his mind wandered to the short but memorable moments that he spent with (F/n), an oblivious girl of him being her soulmate.

Finishing his cup of coffee, he threw it away into the trash bin, put his gloved hands into his pocket, before starting his journey home.

"It's not like I'll meet her again. What's the point of missing her?"
