Double Trouble: School Time Troubles Part 1

Author's Note: Hey everyone I know it's kinda late when I'm posting this but I just finished it and decided to post it now. This is something that I had been planning to do for a while. I had referenced this a while ago in one of my texting stories that I decided would be a fun idea to have it be its own story. This is going to be a two shot and it takes place when Lola and Evie are 5 years old. I hope you enjoy it and please let me know what you thought.

"You sure you don't want to just go to school with me?" Lola asked her sister as she watched her get ready for her first day of high school despite only being five years old.

"I'm sure Lola I can't go backwards and I'm excited to learn this stuff," Evie told Lola who just sighed as she sat down by her. "But I heard from the other kids in kindergarten that high school kids are super scary and mean and they'll eat you alive," the young girl told her sister as she pretended to attack her.

"Lola stop it!" Evie cried out as she was getting sick of Lola always trying to scare her. "What it's true," Lola told her sister who just rolled her eyes. "It is not true you're just trying to scare me like you always do!" Evie screamed out as she continued to pack her unicorn backpack.

"No, I'm just trying to save you. You should just come to school with me," Lola told her slightly younger sister who just shook her head again. "I'm going to high school and you can't stop me," Evie told Lola who just rolled her eyes.

"Fine but don't say I didn't warn you," Lola called out as she just crossed her arms and went back to playing with her toys. Evie just rolled her eyes as she grabbed her bag. "Mommy! Daddy! I'm ready for school now! Let's go!" Evie called out as she ran to her parents excitedly.

"Okay good now Lola come on we're leaving are you ready?" The young parents called out as they headed to the car. "Ugh why do we have to go to school? I hate school!" Lola cried out as she sulkingly got into the car and buckled up.

"Because it's required and it helps you become a better person. Your sister is excited. Why can't you be more like her," the two young parents told Lola who just groaned as she was getting sick of being told that. Everyone was always comparing her to Evie.

"Because I'm not her and it's stupid," Lola told her parents who just rolled their eyes as they arrived at the school. "Lola, stop saying that. Now wish your sister good luck," the two parents told their daughter.

"Fine good luck!" Lola screamed out, making Evie laugh a little as she hugged Lola and ran inside the school. Evie froze though as she went inside and looked around suddenly feeling fearful. She had been so excited for this, but she hadn't realized just how big the school actually was.

It was huge and definitely not what the small girl had been expecting at all. "Oh there you are! You must be Evie Perez. We've been waiting for you," Evie heard making the small girl look over.

"Who are you?" Evie asked as she continued to just look up at the person making her laugh a little bit. "Oh don't worry I'm your helper. I'm going to help you get to your classes and I'm going to be here in case you need anything," the helper told Evie who slowly nodded as she just followed her to her first class.

"Alright and here we are you ready?" The older girl told the young bluenette girl who just looked over as she suddenly felt anxious again. All the kids looked like giants compared to her. "I'm scared," Evie told her helper as she just squeezed her hand.

"Aw I know it can be scary, but I'll be here if you need anything," the helper told Evie who just slowly nodded as she followed her inside. "Why is there a baby here?" One student called out as soon as he saw Evie enter into the class causing other students to join in.

"I'm not a baby! I'm a big girl!" Evie cried out hoping to get them to leave her alone but this only seemed to make it worse as they started mocking and laughing at her. "Stop it!" Evie screamed out as she just ran out of the class crying. This was not how she had been wanting this to go.

"Finally! You're back!" Lola called out as she hugged her twin sister once school had ended and Evie had finally gotten home from what she thought was the worst day of her little life. Evie just sighed as she slowly nodded. "So was I right? Did the high school kids eat you alive!" Lola asked Evie as she could tell something was up.

"Lola just stop, I don't wanna talk about it!" The young girl exclaimed as she just threw her unicorn backpack down and fell back onto her bed. Lola just watched her sister as she suddenly got a bad feeling.

"Evie what's wrong," Lola asked her sister as she also fell back onto Evie's bed joining her. "Nothing I'm fine," Evie told Lola who just shook her head as she looked at her. "Nuh uh I can tell somethings wrong. Tell me!" Lola exclaimed as she looked over at her twin.

"Nothing, I'm fine!" Evie screamed out as she just looked away from Lola as soon as she could feel the tears starting to form. Lola immediately sensed this as she hugged her close. "Evie you're crying," Lola told her sister as she just kept hugging her.

Evie just hugged back as she finally broke, letting all her tears out. "They were so mean to me," Evie cried out as she kept hugging onto her sister. "They were?" Lola asked as she just kept holding Evie close. Evie just slowly nodded as she kept crying.

"They kept calling me a baby and saying that I shouldn't be there. And then when I told them I was a big girl they laughed and mocked me. They're also so big and scary. The teachers are meanies too and I never wanna go back!" Evie sobbed as she just clung tighter to her twin.

Lola just felt the rage build up inside her as she listened to what her twin sister was telling her. Lola hated seeing Evie hurt and upset especially when she had been so excited for this. She needed to do something she just didn't know what yet.

"Don't worry Evie. It's gonna be okay I
promise," Lola told Evie as she just hugged her again. "How do you know?" Evie asked her sister who just smiled as she finally got a plan. "Cause I do but I need to go as you tomorrow and you have to go as me," Lola told Evie as she finally felt a plan start to form.

"But what if they know you're not me?" Evie asked Lola who smiled as that was part of her plan, but she didn't want to give that away to Evie. She knew that in order to help her it was better if Evie didn't know anything that she was planning.

"They won't," Lola told Evie who just sighed as she nodded. "Okay but why do you have to be me and why do I have to be you?" Evie asked Lola who just sighed. "Cause we do! Now no more questions," Lola told Evie who just slowly nodded not knowing what Lola was planning but figured it was best to not say anything.
