Double Trouble: Cookie Jar Disaster
Author's Note: This takes place in my Adventures In Babysitting and Descendants series but way before then when Lola and Evie are only 2. I mentioned in one of my texting stories on YouTube about a cookie jar incident that happened when they were younger and got bored and decided to write it so hopefully you enjoy. Also let me know if you would like to see more like this about Lola and Evie as kids anyway now onto the story.
"Lola we shouldn't be doing this," two year old Evie told her twin sister, making Lola roll her eyes as she pointed to the cookie jar. Their parents were distracted again and had left them alone like they did almost every day, but they never worried because they trusted Evie who was 2 but had the mind of a teenager.
"Bu da cookies Ebie!" Lola practically screamed out as she reached towards the jar. "Lola you're never going to reach those cookies like that, it's scientifically impossible," Evie told her sister as she was officially classified as a genius and was already in school at the age of two while her twin was still not even potty trained and still drew on the walls for fun.
Evie could tell that there was no way Lola was going to get to the cookies if she kept trying her mode of climbing up onto the counter as there was nothing for Lola to really use to climb up with and the counter was too slippery, but Lola would never listen to her.
Lola was stubborn and didn't like being told what to do especially by her own twin who is technically a few minutes younger than her.
"Ebie I know wa I dowing!" Lola told Evie who shook her head no as she pulled Lola down. "No Lola you'll never get it like that. We're gonna need a better plan. I got it if we can build a machine that can grab the cookies then we can get them!" Evie told her sister making Lola look at her like she was insane as Lola didn't even know what Evie said.
"Huh?" The young two year old asked her sister in confusion as Lola wasn't considered a genius and the words Evie used were too big for her toddler brain to process.
Evie just sighed as she kept forgetting that all the kids her age weren't as advanced as she was. "We're gonna build a grabber to get the cookies," Evie told her sister trying to dummy down the way she spoke to her sister, making Lola nod.
"Oh I ge id. Bu how da gonna wowk. Cause I wike my dea bewow," Lola told her sister as she climbed up to the counter again and almost got up before being pulled back down by Evie.
"No Lola, trust me that way is never going to work. We have to do my plan," Evie told her sister, making Lola groan as she gave in letting Evie do her plan that Lola still didn't even understand but didn't feel like asking again.
When Evie finished making her grabber she handed it to Lola. "Okay now you get the cookies down and prove that this way is better," Evie told her sister as she handed the weird contraption over to her.
Lola just looked at the grabber as she had no clue how to work it and it didn't help that she didn't have very good coordination yet as she was only 2.
"How you use dis fing!" Lola asked her sister, making Evie groan as she was getting sick of Lola not understanding what she wanted from her.
"Ugh fine I'll do it!" Evie told Lola as she grabbed the grabber and tried to get the cookies down but ended up not having enough strength to get it down but instead knocking the whole jar to the floor.
"Uh oh!" Both toddlers cried out as they watched the jar fall and shatter to the ground causing their mom to come running in and seeing the huge mess.
"What did you two do? I said no cookies before lunch time. Alright let's go you two are in timeout! And now I have to clean up this whole mess!" The twins mother screamed out as she picked up the two toddlers and practically shoved them into the corner then ran back into the kitchen to clean up the glass and cookies.
Once their mom left Lola just looked at her sister. "I tow you we shoulda use my pwan," Lola told her sister who just nodded as she looked down in shame that her idea didn't work like she had thought it would.
"Okay but we will never speak of this again," Evie told Lola who nodded in agreement. "Deal bu we use my dea next time," Lola told Evie who just nodded again.
