50. Second Ending
[ Quick question: Among the Jungkook and Tae, Eun Byul and Eun Bi banner, which do you like more? ]
{ Jungkook's P.O.V }
"You said you had permission to be out for two hours but it's already been more than three," Eun Bi said after a few minutes since we walked out of the school, "Are you sure you're okay?"
"Don't worry. I'm totally fine. I can even jump around, do you want me to?" chuckling as I waved my hand in air, I asked her.
"Please, no." she said, giving me a side grin, "I'm really glad now, you know. Now, we can go to school without any worry," she said with a reassured smile on her face.
Gulping, I stopped in my steps, "Listen, Eun Bi. There's actually something else I came here to tell you today."
Stopping a few steps ahead of me, she turned around and asked, "What is it?"
"I actually..." placing my hand on the back of my neck, I looked away from her, "I won't be coming to school anymore. Actually, the doctors told my parents that my condition is stable enough for me to endure a flight back to Korea. And since my parents are in a sort of hurry to go back because of their work and hyung, we'll be leaving tomorrow," I said, the evening chilly breeze blowing my and Eun Bi's hair as we stood silently out on the school ground, the sky above us slowly showing its fangs in the form of stars as the night spread out.
"You're leaving... Tomorrow?"
"Yeah. My parents refuse to let me stay here anymore so I've no choice but to go with them. I'm sorry," I said in a low voice.
There was a pause for a moment before Eun Bi looked at me with a sad smile, "Why are you sorry? The reason you came here was to apologize to me, right?" she asked, intertwining her hands behind her back, "I've already forgiven you so there's no reason for you to stay here anymore-"
"There is!" I yelled, cutting her off, "If I could, I wanted to stay here longer with you."
She chuckled, "That would have been fun. I wish that could happen but..." she trailed off, wiping away the tears that have welled up inside her eyes, "That's not possible. I wish, instead of always fighting, we could have become friends like this before when we were together.."
Stepping up, I grabbed her wrist, "Wh-Why don't you come back with me?"
"What?" she asked with a confused expression.
"Let's go back to Korea together."
[ The Next Day ]
{ Eun Bi's P.O.V }
"...ul."
"...byul."
"Eun Byul," Jay said as he shook me slightly.
"Wh-What?" I asked, startled as I looked around and saw that no one else was in the classroom.
Taking out my cell phone after fiddling through my stuff in my backpack, a troubled sigh escaped my lips.
It's this late already? No wonder everyone left.
"I saw you spacing out the whole day. What's up? Something bothering you?" Jay asked as he sat on the desk in front of me before turning around.
"Yeah..." I trailed off as I stretched out my arms, "I've been thinking about going back to Korea-"
"Back? Why?!" Jay exclaimed, cutting me off.
"It's just... I feel kinda lonely here," I said as I leaned back in my seat.
Mom, Unnie, Taehyung and now even Jungkook... If they're all gonna there then why am I here?
"But why? I'm here for you," he said as he placed his hand on my hand, which I quickly jerked away.
W-Woah there, dude. What do you think you're doing?
"Don't go," he said, staring right into my eyes with a sad expression.
"Th-That's..." glancing at the wall clock, I trailed off.
The flight departs in about four hours. Since Jungkook already bought a ticket, I can make it if I go home and start packing now.
But... Do I really deserve to go back now? After all that I did to Unnie, Taehyung and Jungkook, do I deserve to go back with the thought of finding happiness?
Knowing Unnie, she won't take more than two days to forgive me but would that really be okay?
Do I really deserve her forgiveness?
Just then, my cell phone rang with a notification of Jungkook's text.
From: Jungkook
I'll be waiting for you.
Gulping after reading his text, the previous thoughts started fading from my mind.
If I've done something wrong, I have to take responsibility and face it properly instead of running away.
If they forgive me, that just showd how much I should treasyre them and make sure to never ever hurt them again.
With that thought in mind, I stood up. "Jay, I think I've decided. I'm going to leave," I said as I smiled widely after replying to Jungkook.
"When?" he asked as I collected my stuff.
"Today!" I exclaimed as I wore my backpack, tightening the strips around my shoulders, "The time I spent with you was really nice. Thank you for everything. Let's keep in touch via social medi-"
"You can't," Jay cut me off, his palms that were placrd on my desks clenching into fists.
"Pardon?" I asked, tilting my head a bit in confusion.
Suddenly, he stood up and grabbed my wrist before starting to drag me outside the classroom.
"Hey, what are you doing?! Let me go, Jay!!" I yelled, trying to free myself from his grip as he dragged me through the corridor and up the stairs.
With no reply from him, I started becoming more and more scared and frustrated by every passing moment. A minute later, we arrived at the roof. Finally, he let my wrist go.
"Are you crazy?! What do you think you're doing?" I asked, rubbing my wrist as I stepped away from him.
"How can you talk about leaving me?" he asked, taking a few steps towards me.
Turning my gaze from my arm that had marks of his tight grip, I finally looked up at his face and the moment I did, a chill ran down my spine as my breathing became faster and heavier.
He-He's wearing that scary expression again.
Gulping the lump that formed in my throat, I took a few steps back, "J-Jay, please calm down," I said, my voice really small as my hands started shaking in fear.
Jay wasn't listening. It was like he became a totally different person. Without uttering any word, he kept walking towards me with the same expression.
At that moment, I realized.
Jay is not sane.
The illness Sarah was talking about, I think she was talking about this state of his. A mental illness.
"Y-You psy-psycho." I stuttered, trembling as I kept stepping back. Suddenly, my back hit the wall, making my soul almost slipped out of my frame.
The sky wore a red veil, the areas where the sun had set a few minutes ago still brighter among the rest of the sky which emitted a bloody shade turning into abyssal darkness.
{ Jungkook's P.O.V }
"Hyung, how much time now?" I asked as I zipped shut my suitcase.
"We've still got around three and a half hours," checking his wrist watch, Jimin hyung answered.
I nodded as we walked outside. After saying my farewells to Jimin hyung's parents and Jae-Eun, his big sister, we were now sitting in the car as Hoseok hyung drove us out of the mansion.
"Hyung, please stop by my school," I said as I settled in my seat.
"Sure. But why?"
"Eun Bi texted me a few minutes ago saying that she's still at school. She said she'd come with us," I said, smiling as I read her text once again.
"That's great news. How did you convince her?" Jimin hyung asked, turning his head around.
"Yesterday, she said she'd think about it. But I'm really glad she decided to go with us," I said, heaving a sigh of relief.
"Say, Jungkook. Do you like Eun Bi?" Hoseok hyung asked, making me choke on saliva.
"Wh-What? Where did that come from?" I asked in a flustered manner.
"Haha, you've noticed it as well, Hobi hyung?" chuckling in delight, Jimin hyung asked, "You know back when we were in Korea, you used to always keep rambling about Eun Byul but since we've been in America, you keep talking about Eun Bi always."
"That's just..." I trailed off, rubbing the back of my head in embarrassment, "Well, it's true. I-I do... like her."
"Ooh," turning around, they both whistled.
I so wanna hit these two.
"So? Will you tell her?" Jimin hyung asked.
I gulped, my hands which were placed on my knees turning into fists of determination, "Yeah. I still don't know if she will go back with me or not but I'll tell her today. And whatever her decision will be, I'll respect it."
"My Kookie has grown so much," Jimin hyung said, wiping fake tears from his eyes.
"Yeah. I'm proud of him," Hobi hyung said, a wide fatherly smile spreading on his face.
"Quit talking like you guys are my parents," I said before turning my head and staring out of the window.
The sky today looks...
So depressing.
~~~
"I'll be back," stepping out of the car, I waved to Jimin and Hobi hyung before walking towards our school building.
I wonder where Eun Bi is?
Making my way inside the vacant building, I walked towards our classroom. Opening the door, I found no one there.
Taking out my cell before calling her, I jumped in shock as her phone rang inside the classroom. Gulping, I looked at the floor beside Eun Bi's desk from where her mobile was ringing.
"Isn't that Eun Bi's stuff?" walking towards her desk, I looked at the backpack which was on the ground, stuff scattered around it.
"I wonder where she went?" I mumbled as I collected her stuff before walking out of the classroom with her bag on my shoulders. After checking the toilets and other classrooms for a few minutes, I decided to go out and check the school grounds.
After reaching the grounds, I looked around but there was still no sign of her.
Just where could she be?
With that thought in mind, I looked up at the sky.
The sky is so unsettling.
Suddenly, my gaze travelled from the sky to the roof of our school building. Eyes widening in shock, I saw a figure standing beside the roof's wall.
A ghost?!
No, wait... That looks like a person.
Taking out my cell phone before opening the camera, I zoomed in to see the person.
"That's Eun Bi!" I exclaimed in joy, "But what is she doing up there?" I asked myself as I kept watching her through my camera.
Suddenly, a person appeared in front of her and by the looks of it, Eun Bi was backing off from him. Turning my mobile towards the person, a gasp of shock left my mouth.
Jay?!
"Help!!" suddenly, Eun Bi's shrill yell echoed throughout the empty atmosphere.
The evening breeze faded and the tree's leaves came to a stop. Eun Bi's bag slid down from my shoulders as my hands fell on my sides.
"SOMEONE!! PLEASE HELP ME!"
Upon hearing her second yell, my heart stearted beating fast out of fear as my legs started running on their own with my brain still in a dilemma.
Please, be safe.
Running as though my life depended on it or even faster, I made my way upstairs towards the second floor. As soon as I reached the roof, I opened the door.
But.
The moment I stepped on the roof, Jay pushed Eun Bi.
Our gazes meeting for a split second as she helplessly fell over the wall, my heart stopped.
"E-EUN BI!!!"
The End Of Jungkook And Eun Bi's story.
A.N~~
At this point, Double Trouble has officially ended!!
That ending got a bit dark but I hope you guys had fun reading.
So, let's do a short character analysis of Jungkook and Eun Bi.
To be very honest, Jungkook is my personality favorite character. The reason being his character development. Jungkook started off as a stubborn and arrogant student, who seemed to care about none but himself but as the story unfolded, the reason behind Jungkook's questionable acts was revealed and he was helped out of his dilemma state by Eun Byul. From them on, he started getting a better look at things and people, realizing what he did to Eun Bi was wrong.
Jungkook and Eun Bi have had many similarities as both suffered a heart break from their crushes and told a lie to their siblings and also a few more.
Eun Bi's character also received major progress and changes. Eun Bi, who was used to blaming others and consider herself a victim, realized her mistakes and faced them. The fact that she was able to get over what Jungkook did and forgive him showd just how much of a change she had.
These are my opinions about these two.
Please share your thoughts with me as well :)
