5. Cats And Dogs
{ Eun Bi's P.O.V }
At School Gate
"Hey, Kang so Young!!" I yelled as I saw Young walking inside the school.
But she, instead of stopping or noticing me, fastened her pace and went inside.
First Class
"Kang~ So~ Young~" I sang after the teacher left the class when bell ranged.
Standing up from my seat, I walked to Young's seat but she quickly placed her head on the desk.
"Hey!" I said, shaking her wildly.
But she was persistent in not getting up. Finally, I gave up when the next class's teacher walked in.
Third Class
Why is Young ignoring me from this morning? Did I do something wrong?
I should do a memory search.
Memory Searching......
No memory found.
Okay, so I didn't do anything. Then what is her problem?
I'll ask her in lunchtime.
I sighed as I couldn't pay attention to what the teacher was saying, because all my attention was on Young sitting two seats ahead of mine.
Recess
"Young!" I said as I ran up to her in the hallway and grabbed her shoulder. "Why are you acting like this? Did I did something wrong?"
She turned around, furiously, "I have nothing to talk to you about. Just leave me alone." she said in a cold and stern voice.
I stood there, staring at her face as students rushed by us to the canteen.
"But... why, Young? What's the matter?" I asked, tears welling up in my eyes.
Turning around, "Mind your own business." she said before walking off.
I stood in shock, staring at her back as she disappeared in the crowd.
Why? Why would she act like that?-
I was torn away from my emotions when a body bumped into my shoulder, making me stumble forward.
Jungkook and his friends walked away, talking and laughing loudly like a bunch of ugly cows mooing loudly and endlessly.
Tilting my head, I also started walking towards the canteen.
Maybe Young's behaviour has something to do with Jungkook?
Maybe...
Maybe definitely...
Definitely...
IT DEFINITELY HAS SOMETHING TO DO WITH THAT JERK!!
I should've known he wouldn't just sit around after I made fun of him yesterday.
{ Jungkook's P.O.V }
I laughed loudly at Dae Hwi as he threw the grape in the air and got it in his eye instead of his wide opened mouth.
"Looks like you're in a good mood today?" Hee-Chan asked, pushing the whining Dae Hwi away from him.
I nodded as I took a big bite of my sandwich, "Yup. I feel great today-" I stopped as I saw Eun Bi walking inside the canteen.
She was looking around. Suddenly her eyes stopped at me. She walked up to my table with a blank face. My friends stopped laughing and Hee Chan was already bursting from happiness because of her visit.
I furrowed my eyebrow at her.
"I want to talk to you, Jungkook." She said in a stern voice.
Hee-Chan was already giving me glares. I looked at her and then back at my sandwich, "I'm not interested in talking to y-" I said but before I could finish my sentence, she grabbed my wrist and pulled me out of the canteen.
"Hey! You freak!" I said, freeing my waist from her weak grip, "What the heck is your problem?" I said glaring at her, once we were in the empty hallway.
"You did that, didn't you?" She asked, crossing her arms.
"Did what?" I said, putting my hands inside my pocket.
"Young. You told her to stop talking to me"
Hahaha, bingo.
"What? Of course not," I said with a grin, "Do you even know the price of accusing someone? Especially me?" I bent a bit to meet her height, "You pulled me out and accused me. And now you will pay off." I said as my smile faded away.
"Stop..." she said meeting my gaze, "I have had enough of your childishness. I know you're a prankster but this has gone too far. I thought you were just a problematic kid but now I see THAT YOU'RE A PSYCHO!" she yelled before walking away.
I stood there for a minute in silence. Briefing the scene that just happened inside my head.
'I know you're a prankster but this has gone too far.'
Hmm...
Yes, I'm a prankster and I also believe I've gone too far by pranking one person for this long.
I should really stop bothering her now.
But...
Clenching my fists, I gritted my teeth as burning rage inside me started flaring up.
'... YOU'RE A PSYCHO!'
Flashback
Sitting up and breathing heavily, I put my palms on my ear, trying to block the voice in my head as much as I could but to no avail.
The voice kept bouncing inside my head, making me suffer as beads of sweat ran down my face.
'Psycho!!'
Once again the voice yelled inside my head.
"I-I'm not..." He mumbled as he started sobbing, laughing his legs to his chest, "I'm not a psycho."
End Of Flashback
Lee Eun Bi...
How dare you call me a psycho?!
Now, you've gone too far as well.
School Ended
I looked at Young as she packed her stuff and walked out of the class. Sighing, I grabbed my bag before walking out.
The evening sky looked like a fire show. Silent street, faraway traffic noises. Leaves of trees dancing with the passing by chilly air.
Soon I arrived at my house, from where was coming extremely loud music.
Unnie's up... and alone.
Taking out my key, I unlocked the front door. Stepping in, I saw Unnie busy in sweeping the floor while singing with the loud music on.
Some wild energy of youth my Unnie has.
As she saw me, she smiled and threw the vacuum cleaner away as she came and hugged me.
You fool, that vacuum is more expensive than me.
"YOU'RE BACK!" She said as she backed away.
I chuckled, "No, I'm still at school. What you're seeing is a hallucination." I joked as I waved my hands in air weirdly. I looked around at the clean living room. "Why the sudden cleaning? Are we havin-" I was cut off by the doorbell.
"Lee Eun Byul! Open the door! I need to use the bathroo-" Taehyung, who was glued to the front door, fell face-first on the floor as Unnie opened the door.
"Taee!-" Unnie exclaimed excitedly but her smile soon faded away when behind Taehyung walked Jungkook.
"Hyung? Why are you sleeping here?" He said, nudging Taehyung with his foot.
"B-Bathroom..." He said, crawling on the floor and touching Unnie's foot. "Eun Byul, show me the bathroom, please."
"Fine-"
"Unnie, I'll show him the way," I said, trying to get out from ten meters radius of Jungkook.
"K, sure." She said before turning towards Jungkook. "You, come with me."
~~~
"Wow, that feels good. I feel so light now." Taehyung said, plopping down on the couch beside Unnie.
"Hey, why are you being so free at other's house, have some manners," Unnie said, hitting his head with the controller.
"Look, what's yours is mine and what's mine is also mine," Taehyung said, chuckling as he grabbed the controller from her which started a fight between the two.
Why do they always fight like cats and dogs?
I'll show you what mature people do.
Smiling, I walked up to the chair on which Jungkook was sitting, lost in the abyss, he seemed to be reading a book.
A book... A comic book.
"Hey, that's my book!" I exclaimed, grabbing the comic in which he was so engrossed in reading.
"Oh, come on. I was just getting to the good part." He whined, reaching his hand out to take it back.
"By your own then." I blew a raspberry at him as I held the comic nook away from him.
"Tch, fighting like cats and dogs." Suddenly, my and Jungkook's argument was interrupted. Turning around, I saw Unnie and Taehyung sitting peacefully.
Why?
Because the controller fell and was broken in pieces.
I gave them a narrow eye look and Unnie nervously chuckled before standing up. "Let's get something to eat, Tae."
Taehyung nodded, carefully walking behind Unnie towards the kitchen, giving me an apologetic look.
Finally, with the interruption gone, I snatched the book from Jungkook's hands and plopped on the couch before starting to read it.
"Give it back" He growled.
I gave him a lazy look before looking back at my book. "Shut up. It's mine."
"I said, give it back." He sternly said, his voice deeper and colder.
I rolled my eyes. "I won't. This is my house, this is my comic book, airhead. You have a problem, then get out."
As his mouth opened to make a comeback, another voice already did it for him.
"He knows it's your house." I looked at the kitchen door, where Taehyung was standing with a hurtful smile. "I know I brought him without informing and you guys seem to not be on good terms, so if you want him to leave then we will leave now."
I stood up, throwing the comic book on the couch which Jungkook grabbed instantly, "No, no. Please stay. I.." I looked at Jungkook who now had a secret smirk plastered on his face as he continued reading. I looked back at Taehyung. "I'm sorry"
"It's fine. Eun Byul's calling you in the kitchen."
I nodded, giving him another apologetic look before walking inside the kitchen.
~~~
Eating the almost inedible pancakes made by Taehyung and Unnie bitterly because of the person present on the table named Jungkook, we all settled down in the living room, with Unnie and Taehyung on the couch and me and Jungkook on the cushions on the floor. Unnie put the lights off before playing a movie.
Throughout the movie, Unnie and Taehyung kept commenting about the movie.
Stupid Jungkook.
And stupid Taehyung, always hanging out with Unnie.
I looked at the other cushion where Jungkook with an open mouth was sitting.
Such a wasteful human being he is.
~~~
"That was great!" Unnie said and stretched her arms.
"Indeed, it was," Taehyung said and stood up. "We should leave now"
"But it's still..." Unnie trailed off as her eyes averted to the wall clock. "Holy cricket! It's 7 already!?"
"Yeah," Taehyung said with a chuckle.
"Then what are you waiting for? Go home or else you'll blame me for your mom getting angry at you."
"Of course I'll blame you. My mum is surely gonna be mad for being invisible with Jungkook on my first day here."
"I ain't gonna buy it. Now go home, see ya." Unnie said as she turned Taheyung around and pushed him towards the door.
Jungkook stood up and stretched out his arms. Giving me a blank look before handing me my comic book, he went outside where a fight between Unnie and Taehyung had already started.
Hmm... They're leaving already?
I-I mean it was quite noisy to have them around.
Such loud guys.
I thought as I ran towards the window in my room and peeked out as they said their 'goodbyes' to Unnie and drove away.
To be continued...
