You were watching Emiko play tennis on the court. She was in her tennis uniform, despite the wind having a certain bite to it. She looked very in her element, and you don't know what cursed you to do it, but you took your jacket off and walked over to her.

At the sound, she turned to you, her high ponytail moving as she did. "What are you doing?"

"It's kinda chilly today." You responded.

"And?"

"You're wearing a short sleeve shirt and a tennis skirt. You look cold."

She scoffed. "Even if I was, I wouldn't take anything from you."

Who were you to think she'd accept your offer? "Okay, whatever."

You turned on your heels, but she tugged on your jacket. You let her take hold of it and slip it on, her cheeks red, from the wind, from her embarrassment, you weren't sure.

You smirked as she started wacking the life out of the tennis ball again. "You're welcome, Emiko."

"Shut up."

You grinned and stuck your hands in your pockets, walking off of the court. You weren't really sure what came over you - you despised Emiko as much as she did you - but giving her your jacket felt right. You told yourself that you did it to tease her, but deep down, you were tired of fighting her.

That didn't go to say that if she tried something, you would let it happen, you would still go off. However, if there was a chance where you could avoid the initial argument, you would take it.

"What was that?"

You jumped at Sangyeon's voice and turned to face him. "What was what?"

"Your jacket?"

"Oh," you sighed. "I don't know. I just felt like giving it to her."

He slapped his hand to your forehead. "Hm, you're not running a fever."

You laughed at his antics. "I don't know what came over me either. It felt right, though. You know what I mean?"

"I get it. One time, Changmin went on a biting spree and started biting Eric and Chanhee. Even though it was unfortunate for them, it felt right. Like the stars aligned for that to happen."

Sangyeon nodded to himself, reminiscing that moment, and it made you laugh loudly. "Poor Eric and Chanhee."

"You'll have to get Eric to show you the video he took. It's hilarious." He laughed.

You felt a bubbly feeling in your chest. No, not like when you were with Jacob, not the crush feeling. A feeling of happiness, that good feeling people got when laughing with a best friend.

Maybe today would be a good day.

You were waiting for the bell signaling lunch time to go off as you scrolled through your phone. You were trending number three on Twitter, and it was a bunch of people telling you to recover well, as the incident from the park had become known. Luckily for Emiko, no one took a video, so no one had exposed her the way she exposed you. All people knew was that some girl re-fractured your shoulder.

You were responding to a couple people - you were hesitant to call them fans - when the bell finally rang. You were minding your business as you walked towards the cafeteria, but a few familiar freshmen circled around you and stopped you in your tracks.

"Minji, is it true that Emiko fractured your shoulder again?" Kiyeon asked.

Junseo added, "Are you and Jacob together?"

You were fond of these freshmen, they were always curious of you. They looked up to you, oddly enough, since everyone else avoided you like the plague at your first arrival. You definitely weren't telling them about you and Jacob.

So, you smiled mischievously. "You want in on a little secret?" They nodded, so you bent down to be eye level with them. "Being nosy doesn't get you anywhere."

You stood up straight and they huffed. "Minji! We're just curious. Everyone is talking about how you and Emiko got into a fight."

You shrugged at Daseul. "Ask Emiko. If she did, she'll tell you."

"Why can't you?" Kiyeon whined.

"You gremlins might attack her or something." You snorted. "You guys don't need to be fed after midnight, okay?"

"Isn't it always after midnight?"

Your eyebrows jumped. That was technically true.

"We'll sick her for you, Minji." Daseul held her fists up.

"Guys, go eat lunch." You laughed.

You started walking into the cafeteria, and they followed you like puppies. Junseo crossed his arms. "Okay, what about you and Jacob, then?"

You sighed and walked all the way to your table with the curious freshmen. You sat next to Jacob and looked at the three. "Ask him yourself."

"Ask me what?" Jacob looked at them.

Daseul blushed and Kiyeon smacked her arm. "Not good timing, Daseul. Make your cheeks go back to normal."

"I can't!"

"You guys suck at whispering." Eric sounded.

"Okay," Junseo looked at Jacob. "Are you and Minji, you know?"

Jacob tilted his head. "Are we what?"

Jacob was messing with them, and you thought it was adorable.

Junseo looked like he was in agony. "You know, dating?"

"Why? Do you have a crush on her?" Jacob grinned.

The girls gasped and Junseo turned bright red. "What - me? I do not have a crush on Minji."

"Wow." You mumbled.

"Junseo, let's go." Daseul mumbled. "You're embarrassing yourself."

Junseo looked defeated, so you patted his shoulder. "Good try, buddy."

You waved as the girls dragged him off. You laughed to yourself and put your head on Jacob's shoulder.

"Why is Emiko walking over here wearing your jacket?" Sunwoo scrunched his nose up.

Haknyeon copy and pasted the younger's expression. "And why is she skipping."

"Minji!" Emiko called. "Thanks for lending me your jacket this morning. It kept me very warm."

You hummed. "You're welcome."

"But why? What was your intention?"

Your eyebrows furrowed. "It was chilly this morning and you were wearing a tennis uniform? I was being kind."

She eyed you. "Kind looks weird on you."

"Next time you're freezing in that tiny tennis skirt, I'll remember that."

She handed you your jacket and walked away. You were a bit surprised that she said thank you, but she was probably putting on a show since you were with the guys. Either way, you tried not to think about it too much.

"Eric," you looked at him. "Sangyeon told me about a video that I want to see."

Hyunjoon was out, catching up with some friends, and the loneliness was starting to consume you.
