(Carter's POV)

"Why are we going again?" I asked my baby brother and he huffed before shooting me a glare. I would have thought it was menacing if he wasn't missing a tooth and strapped in a car seat right now.

"We are going to see my best-friend bubby" he said in his little baby voice. I rolled my eyes.

"Why couldn't you wait until Monday? I'm sure he doesn't want to see you now" I said and he giggled.

"Bubby my best-friend is a girl and I want to see her now because she in 1st grade, not 2nd grade like me!" He said calmly and my mouth flew open.

"Huh? I thought girls had germs?" I asked him and he shrugged his little shoulders.

"I don't care" he said and I shrugged. Whoever this girl was, Danny sure seemed to like a lot because I have never heard him talk about a girl like this.

"Okay bro, but who are we meeting exactly?" I asked and his face lit up.

"Well her name's Tori and we"ll be meeting her sister and her today. Mommy already made the play date" Great! Now I have the pleasure of talking care of 3 little rowdy kids.

"Okay so what's this girl's last name?' I asked and he looked deep in thought.

"I'm sorry bubby, I don't remember" he said while giving me a little pout. I chuckled. Suddenly he yelled which made me swerve the car. I pulled over to the side of the road and turned in my seat to look at him.

"What the Heck Daniel! We could have been seriously injured and then it would have made Mommy and Daddy sad!" I said with my voice slightly raised. His bottom lip trembled and I felt like the worst brother in the world. "Hey I'm sorry Danny, I didn't mean to yell at you it's just that you scared me and we almost had a accident" I said. My voice tremendously softer now. He nodded then looked me in the eye while wiping his tears away with his little hands.

"I'm sorry bubby, it's just that I remembered her last name now. It reminded me of your name"

"Well what is it Monkey!" I said and he giggled.

"It's Carter! Just like your name" he said and I suddenly got a feeling of Deja Vu. Where have I heard that last name before? I shook it off and pulled back on the road. I told Danny we were 5 minutes away from his friend's house and he started bouncing in his car seat like crazy.

We pulled up to a huge mansion and both of our mouths dropped. Clearly Danny didn't know Tori was rich. I pulled up to the guards booth and he asked us for our names and our business on the property. When we told him why we were here, he checked his clip board and let us pass. I parked and jumped out of my car quickly. Danny was jumping up and down so much that it was hard to unbuckle his car seat. Once I got him unbuckled, he jumped out of the car quickly and ran to the door. I was just about to explain the rules to him when the door opened up and he ran inside. I called after him but then froze when I heard my name being called.

"Carter?!" I looked toward the door and saw a petite figure there staring at me in shock.

Great! My brother's best- friend's sister is the girl I have a crush on.

(A couple blocks down the street)

(Kate's POV)

"Jared I swear if you don't give me my phone back right now, I'll pound your face in" I yelled at the Bain of my existence. He laughed and started typing something into my phone before throwing at me. God I really need to put a lock on it.

"Fine here you go Katie!" He said and I glared. I was just putting a lock on my phone when it rang. Holland was calling me.

"Hey Holls, what's up" I yelled in the phone and she chucked.

"Kate, Um, why did you send us a group message saying that 'Jared is a sexy beast?" She asked and I looked at him with horror. I checked my phone and sure enough, the Devil sent a text to all of my friends. I WAS GOING TO MURDER HIM.

I held the phone to my chest then screamed in my pillow. As I was doing this I heard HIM laughing at me from my desk. I put the phone back to my ear and released a breath.

"Holls, I'm going to have to call you back" I said, my anger rising.

"Sure, just don't murder anyone" she said laughing. Oh how my best- friend knew me so well.

"No promises, but If I did would you bail me out?" I asked even though I knew her answer.

"Absolutely!" She said and I grinned.

"Thanks Holls"

"Anytime K" she said then paused "Just don't incapacitate him, Please! I'm pretty sure he likes to walk" she said and I chuckled.

"He should have thought about that before he sent that text" I said and she chuckled.

"Okay, Have Fun" she yelled before hanging up. I turned back to the Devil and he was still snickering. I rolled my eyes and went to my closet and found my softball bat. I turned back to him and his eyes widened. I went to my door and then locked it which forced him to gulp.
