The Move
The Dreamers sat around the conference room.
Hearts shattered, just like the last time they encountered United. Everyone was mostly unscathed, save for the emotional part. As far as that went they were broken beyond compare. First, one of their former members was brainwashed into the other side, the second purposely double crossed them.
"We have to leave here." Sunhee spoke disrupting the silence. "They know where we are. We need to relocate, or else we are as good as dead." The air turned even gloomer. This had been the gang's base for a little over two years, it wasn't something they wanted to leave.
But, for the safety of everyone they had to. There was always the threat that Mark would reveal where their base was. None of the gang members wanted to put any of the kids at risk of United, especially now.
"Renjun go gather up all our funds, we need to find a new place and fast. See if anyone of your sources can find one. Jeno and Jisung go gather up all the weapons, don't leave anything behind. Chenle, go pack up your computers and inventions we will need those. Haechan go help him out. Jaemin, you are going to get the kids ready. Try not to make them panic." Sunhee ordered. "I'll go get any files and miscellaneous stuff floating around. Try to be ready in an hour, two hours at most."
The group split up, everything seeming to be a blur. Both Mina and Jimin understanding the situation, being old enough to, helped out Jaemin. The rest didn't exactly understand what was going on, but they took it seriously.
Soon their black van was packed up and ready to go. Half the kids were asleep and everyone was saying goodbye to the house. There were lots of good memories there.
"One of my informants found a place in the city." Renjun spoke quietly as to not awaken the kids.
Sunhee turned her attention away from watching Chenle with his robots he recently built. "Is it safe?"
Renjun nodded. "There is a school nearby as well. The kids can go to school and not have to be bored hanging around the house all day. Plus no rival gangs will be suspicious."
Sunhee nodded glancing over at the remaining kids who were awake and playing around. "It will be good for them to get away from gang life before they are brought into it fully. They should socialize." Sunhee smiled softly at them like a parent would. She practically was there mom anyways she found them and raised them.
Chenle jogged over to the pair. "Come on. Let's go to our new home." Sunhee and Renjun nodded before the gang went to the car.
