The moonlight glinted off a piece of diamond studded on the anklet, a glint of happiness being reflected in her eyes, and he smiled. She often didn't let her feelings come on her tongue, but her eyes said it all; and it was not everyone's cup of tea to read her eyes, but he did, very perfectly I'd say! 

 "Thank You" she softly whispered, bending herself to rest her head on his shoulder, adoring her gift gifted by him, diamond anklets.  

 "Happy Birthday, Sanyu!" he whispered in the same voice, wrapping an arm around her shoulder and resting his head on hers.  

 The grass underneath them shined under the star-filled sky, the moon above them smiled at their beauty, the birds on nearby trees slept silently, not wanting to disturb the serenity of the scene. It had been complete fifteen years since they had been together, from friends to best friends to bestest friends, they shared every smile, every tear, every moment. They had seen each other grow together, physically and mentally.  

 "I'll turn eighteen the next year, and chachaji will disown me," her voice contained gloom, pain that she wanted to get rid of and a lone tear flowed down her cheek. 

 "I'll marry you then," he said calmly and she gasped in shock.  

 "Har baat mein mazaak zaroori hai kya?" she hit him on his chest, looking at him reproachfully. 

 "Har baat par rona zaroori hai kya?" he smiled cutely, kissing her on top of her head and cuddling her into him. 

 "Tu nahi samjhega!" 

 "Fir kaun samjhega?" 

 Silence spread between them as she didn't feel like telling him, that no, no one will ever understand her the way he does; the only sound that could be heard was her heavy breaths and the distant nocturnal insects making sounds. 

 "Sanyukta?"  

 "Randhir?" 

 "Chuhiya?" 

 "Chuha?" 

 "I love you" 

 "I lo-- WHAT?!" 

 and before she could react, he pressed his lips over hers.
