-Christmas and New years Special-

It was gorgeous; thin snow painting the outside world, festive lights— the ones they could find in the closets— hung around the hallways, the fake tree next to the hot fireplace. The group worked the house the best they could, well most of them.

Despite only small snow, the world around them seems to have froze. The hallways produced cold breezes, the forest cold and the garden covered.

The whole group were almost determined to just stay by the fire or lay in bed, till Blue flipped through his mini calendar and found the Christmas date.

Let's take a sneak peek at these skeletons..

----

Ink was an obvious choice for decorating the house- cutting paper snowflakes and all that jazz. The Christmas tree was the last thing on the skeleton's list, walking up to the fake tree (Dream went against cutting down a real tree), he set down a box full of ornaments.

Some of the items were handmade, or that's what they could only assume based off the wrinkles and shaky lining of gold, and others made of glass and a nice finish. Honestly, Ink didn't trust that many of the group members with the glass ones, not like any of them would want to decorate the tree with him.

Speaking of which, as Ink started to hang up the different items that he had found in a back closet, he caught sight of a certain skeleton.

Error was clearly not interested in anything around him, messing with the strings he produced with his eye-sockets/hands. Ink, finding a new goal in mind, shouted over the Christmas music he had set up.

"HEY ERROR!" Ink screamed, which made the other flinch. Error gave the colorfully dressed skeleton in his ugly christmas sweater a disinterested look.

"What do you want?" the dark-boned skeleton grumbled as he made his way towards Ink. Said skeleton kept up his cheery smile.

"You looked bored- join me in decorating!" The skeleton suggested as he placed a handmade ornament onto the tree. Error sighed; it'd be better than nothing. Still having a disinterested face, he picked up a paper ornament and placed it on the lowest branch while standing.

Besides a few side conversations between Ink and well...Ink too as Error didn't really respond properly, it was mostly quiet. The quietness wasn't all that bad; like warm weather with a breeze with it.

The silence shattered, quite literally, when some glass crahsed to the ground.

"ERROR!"

"Not my fault."

Following to a distant cracking noise, Lust and Horror can be seen cuddling on a coach in another living room. The fire ate its meal from the crusting wood as the two lovebirds enjoy each other's existence.

Lust was laying on top of Horror, his head laying on his shoulder. The smaller skeleton's back was to the starved skeleton, their legs mixing with each other.

Horror had his arms wrapped around Lust's waist; his skull rested close to the other's. He had begun whispering sweet nothings in Lust's ear-sockets, both warm with the help of the fire from the fireplace.

Lust shifted slightly, flipping his body to chest to chest; turning his head to match Horror's. No words were needed to know what the flirty skeleton wanted from the taller. Lust planted a small kiss on Horror's lips/mouth before placing those soft kisses wherever he pleased.

To be honest, as much as Horror seemed to be more into rough treatment, he was craving for lust's small kisses from his small and dainty lips. The tougher skeleton's face flushed more with color once Lust started to travel down his neck with the soft kisses.

Nearing to the collarbones, Lust sat up, straddling Horror's hips as he looked down on him. His heart shaped eye-lights were soft but playful.

But before they could travel any deeper, a faint crashing noise disrupted them. A shout that only a trained ear could hear followed soon after.

"Should we check up on them...?" Lust's soft and smooth voice chimed in; Horror sighed.

"Let them handle themselves."

To the theater room was two lonely skeletons- well, they weren't lonely because they were next to each other. But surrounded by all the other empty chairs is close to loneliness.

Blue was the one who had majority of blankets around him, curling in his seat. Dust was next to the smaller, looking more at Blue's reaction than the movie that was playing itself.

Blue's bandana was kind of twisted to the side due to him complaining of how uncomfortable the position was. He was wearing a simple blue sweater that went off the shoulders slightly with soft shorts to comply with it.

The dusty skeleton had his usual clothing on, hood up and everything. The only thing different was a string of christmas lights hot glued to his shoulders. Blue was complaining about how Dust should get more in the spirit; as a result, they made their own festive piece of clothing.

The movie(s) they were watching on the big screen was weird knock offs they found in the theater back area. There were no 'normal' movies, so they ended up with the...weirder christmas movies.

The smaller skeleton was leaning on Dust's shoulder, a bit uncomfortable but Blue wanted to be close to his friend/romantic interest. His pins that usually rested on his blue bandana were taken off in his room.

Dust's arm was placed on Blue's chair, hand slightly gripping to keep position. He didn't really find the movie all that great really, he only went along with it because of how excited Blue was to see it.

With the laughing track being played once more in the movie, Dust sighed and relaxed with Blue.

Moving onward is the kitchen. To say it was calm was a lie. It was chaotic, but that fun version of chaos. Dream oversaw in keeping Killer focused and following the recipe, while Killer try to wrap his head around cracking an egg well.

"So do you do it with one hand? Two?"

"You should start with two hands- you're not at that level Killer." Dream spoke softly, wanting to not be so loud in the environment.

"Bold of you to assume I'm below your level-" Killer spoke confidently as he grabbed two eggs in each hand and just started to crush them. Dream heard the multiple cracks and marched his way over to Killer.

"You're getting those eggshells out of there." The guardian demanded, hands on his hips. His bowl of dry and wet ingredients left behind as well as his whisk.

"But it's not my fault-"

"It absolutely your fault."

Killer huffed before getting his hands wet and started to pick the small shell parts out of the eggs. Once he completed that boring task, he walked carefully with the multiple eggs he cracked and helped Dream pour them into the mixture.

"Do you think they'll taste good?"

"What's with all these questions?"

"The usual." Dream snorted slightly, not even knowing what Killer was hinting at.

"If we had a hint of cinnamon, they'll be decent"

Killer only nodded his head before looking at the oven. "I call dibs on heating up the oven-"

"Stars Killer nO-"

Away from the warm house full of cheer, a path covered by footprints lead the way of the last couple. One heavily prepared of the cold weather while the other warm enough by his heating goop.

Cross and Nightmare were hand in hand, walking along the calm path. It was mostly surrounded by trees; dark and cold, but neither of them minded it. It was getting a bit crowded in the house for both.

A slight breeze moved by, shifting Cross's scarf out of place. Using his other hand that wasn't being held and quickly fixes to get less snow under his clothing. Nightmare's tentacles were calmer than usual, if it was the cold's fault or just being near a calm person, he didn't really care.

Soft and small snowflakes sprinkled from the sky, a few landing on Nightmare's goop, but soon melting. It was nice, once more a place where they wouldn't be bothered by anyone.

Cross leaned on Nightmare softly as they walked into a clearing of a lake. Heath leaked over to Cross's cheek to the rest of his body. It was like he was being heated up by the fireplace. A very cute and handsome fireplace.

With the sound of snow being crunched underneath their feet, they walked past with a few comments from Cross on how pretty the frozen lake was.

They made sure they hadn't scrambled too far from the hotel like mansion, that was clear as they continued down the loop around path than going deeper into the forest. Not many words were said, a few lovely sighs and mutters were given.

It was their time alone, and they were going to use it for some alone time, together.

Everyone was gathered in one of the many living rooms that covered the building, some more separate than others and some cuddled together. The pair obvious, however.

Error stayed near the back, as Ink joined soon after chatting up some friends of his. Some of the more excited skeletons wore funky 2020 glasses and hats to 'start the year fun'. Others complained that the get together in the many living rooms was dumb.

They all just talked to each other while a few of the much older sanses took small sips of alcohol- there was a whole lot in the second fridge- such as Nightmare, Dream, Ink, Error, etc etc.

Blue looked up at the clock in the corner of the room and started to shout excitedly.

"THREE!"

Everyone looked at the hyper sans, but others soon caught on, some joining the yelling to hype everyone else up. Error leaned up closer to the wall, taking another long sip of his drink.

"TWO!"

Practically everyone stared intently at the old grandfather clock. They waited for that chime as the group of cheerful skeletons continued.

"ONE!"

The silence took up before the chimes soon started to count out 12. Majority of the sanses cheered, bring excitement to the table as a few took long sips of their drinks if they had one.

Cross took a quick kiss to Nightmare as some of the other couples followed- other friends hugged as some of the more awkward sanses stayed back, but also cheered.
