❤️Chapter 2- Hold my hand (Part 6)❤️

Angma's gaze narrows as he approaches Shin, his expression serious and determined. "Shin," he begins, his voice tinged with a sense of urgency, "you know as well as I do that Myul-Mang's reign cannot last forever."

Shin turns to face Angma, her eyes filled with a mixture of curiosity and apprehension. "What do you mean?" she asks, her voice soft yet tinged with concern.

"I mean that I will do whatever it takes to seize Myul-Mang's position," Angma declares boldly, his tone unwavering. "I will become all-powerful, and nothing will stand in my way."

Shin's expression darkens slightly as she absorbs Angma's words. "But at what cost?" she questions, her voice barely above a whisper. "Are you willing to sacrifice everything for power?"

Angma's eyes gleam with determination as he meets Shin's gaze. "I will do whatever is necessary," he states firmly. "No price is too high for ultimate power."

Angma 's eyes flash with intensity as he confronts Shin, his voice rising with fervor. "I am the Devil!" he bellows, his words echoing ominously in the hospital room. "There is nothing worse than me, and I will bring chaos and destruction to this so-called garden of yours!"

Shin recoils slightly at Angma's outburst, her expression a mix of fear and defiance. "You cannot control me," she retorts, her voice trembling yet resolute. "Myul-Mang may have his flaws, but he is not driven by darkness like you."

Angma's laughter fills the room, a cold and sinister sound that sends shivers down Shin's spine. "You underestimate me, Shin," he sneers, his eyes glinting with malice. "I will stop at nothing to claim what is rightfully mine."

Shin's voice quivers as she speaks, her eyes locked on Angma's retreating figure. "Myul-mang will do everything to stop you, Angma," she warns, her tone edged with concern.

Angma pauses in the doorway, turning back to face Shin with a menacing smirk. "He is my little brother, and he is weaker," he sneers, his words dripping with disdain. "You know that as well as I do."

As the flames envelop Angma, Shin remains composed, her expression unwavering in the face of the inferno. With a serene demeanor, she gazes upon the spectacle before her, her eyes betraying a hint of sadness at the impending chaos.

"I will not be swayed by your threats, Angma," she declares calmly, her voice carrying a tone of quiet authority. "Myul-mang will stand against you, and together, we will thwart your ambitions."

With a final defiant glare, she watches as Angma vanishes into the flames, her resolve unshaken by the devil's ominous warnings.

(Doom (멸망) · SHIN MINYONG - Doom at Your Service (Original Television Soundtrack) starts playing in the background as Angma vanishes and Shin feels bad for their lives.)

Shin softly whispers to herself as she waters the potted plant, "I feel sorry for Myul-mang, Tak Dong-kyung, and Angma. No one can escape what fate has stored for them."

In the midst of serving customers at his café,

Lee Hyun-gyu's attention drifts away as he listens to his friends on the phone. The prospect of a high school reunion after 12 years tugs at his heartstrings, evoking memories long buried beneath the passage of time.

In the call his friend says "Hey, Hyun-gyu! Remember how the girls used to call you the 'Prince of the high school'?"

Lee Hyun-gyu says nostalgically "Yeah, those were the days..."

His Friend says "And guess who's coming to the reunion? Da-yeong, Eun-bi, Jung-hwa... and Na Ji-na!"

At the mention of Na Ji-na's name, a wave of emotions washes over Hyun-gyu, momentarily transporting him back to their shared high school days. Lost in a whirlwind of memories and conflicting emotions, he finds himself grappling with the decision to attend the reunion.

His friend asks"Hyun-gyu? Are you still there?"

Lee Hyun-gyu snapped back to reality "Uh, yeah... Yeah, I'm here. Sorry, I just got lost in thought for a moment. Count me in for the reunion. I...am coming"

Despite his attempt to brush off the impact of Na Ji-na's name, Lee Hyun-gyu finds himself lost in a maze of thoughts and emotions, unsure of what the reunion will bring and what memories it may unearth.

At the Life Story Web novel company,

As Cha Joo-ik sits in his office, he listens to Tak Dong-kyung's former client complain. The client wanted a new editor because he didn't think Dong-kyung was pretty enough.

Joo-ik's face shows his disapproval. "So you judge editors by their looks?" he asks coldly. "That's disappointing."

The client feels uncomfortable. "Uh, well..." he tries to explain.

Joo-ik cuts him off. "That's enough," he says firmly.

Joo-ik's expression hardens as he leans forward in his chair, fixing the client with a cold stare. "You want someone pretty?" he asks, his voice laced with contempt. "Fine. You'll have me. I'll edit your web novel from now on."

The client King Yeomra blinks in surprise, not expecting such a response. Joo-ik's words hang in the air, a clear warning that he won't tolerate superficial judgments in his workplace.

Joo-ik's expression hardens as he leans forward in his chair, fixing the client, King Yeomra, with a cold stare. "You demand respect?" he retorts, his voice dripping with disdain. "Respect is earned, not demanded. And judging people by their looks? That's low, even for you."

King Yeomra 's face pales as Cha Joo-ik's words sink in. "But I am-" he starts to protest, only to be cut off abruptly by Cha Joo-ik's sharp interruption.

"Shut up!" Joo-ik's voice reverberates through the room, silencing King Yeomra 's protests. "This is what you get for being a bastard. You think you can waltz in here and treat people like commodities? Think again."

With a steely gaze, Cha Joo-ik makes it clear that he won't tolerate such behavior in his workplace. King Yeomra squirms uncomfortably under his gaze, realizing that he's crossed a line he shouldn't have dared to tread.

After King Yeomra hastily exits the room, Cha Joo-ik turns his attention to Tak Dong-kyung, who stands by the doorway, her expression a mix of relief and gratitude. Without a word, she crosses the room and stands before him, her eyes shining with appreciation.

"Thank you, Joo-ik," she says softly, her voice filled with sincerity. "I didn't expect you to stand up for me like that."

Cha Joo-ik offers her a faint smile, a rare display of warmth amidst his usual stern demeanor. "It's not about you," he replies gruffly, but there's a hint of camaraderie in his tone. "It's about not letting bullies like him get their way."

Dong-kyung nods, understanding the sentiment behind his words. "Well, either way, I appreciate it," she says earnestly, her gratitude evident in her eyes.

With a nod of acknowledgment, Cha Joo-ik returns to his desk, already immersed in his work once more. But Dong-kyung knows that she's earned his respect, if only for a moment, and she's grateful for that.

Cha Joo-ik leans back in his chair, his gaze thoughtful as he regards Tak Dong-kyung. "Do you happen to know a webtoon writer that goes by the pen name Lee Hyun?" he inquires, his tone casual yet curious.

Dong-kyung hesitates for a moment, her mind racing as she weighs her response. Finally, she nods slowly, her expression guarded. "Yes, I know her," she admits quietly, her voice tinged with uncertainty. "She's... she's my best friend."

As Cha Joo-ik listens to Tak Dong-kyung's hesitant response, his curiosity intensifies. "And what might your best friend's real name be?" he pressed , his tone betraying a hint of urgency.

Caught off guard by the sudden question, Dong-kyung stammers, her thoughts racing as she struggles to form a coherent answer. "Uh... Na... Ji... na," she finally manages to stutter out, her voice faltering.

Joo-ik's eyes widened at her response, a flood of memories rushing back to him. He recalls a rainy evening twelve years ago when he stumbled upon Ji-na sitting alone with an umbrella on the doorstep of his and his younger brother Hyun-gyu's house. Ji-na had been oblivious to the fact that Hyun-gyu had abandoned her and had left for the USA to pursue his studies without so much as a goodbye.

In that poignant moment of vulnerability, Joo-ik couldn't ignore the palpable tension between them. Despite the betrayal of his brother, As the rain poured down relentlessly, Joo-ik found himself unable to resist the magnetic pull drawing him closer to Ji-na.

([MV] Sondia - This Is Love | 어느 날 우리 집 현관으로 멸망이 들어왔다 OST starts playing in the background as Cha Joo-ik kisses Na Ji-na.)

He leaned in and kissed Ji-na, their lips meeting in a tender yet tumultuous embrace.
