I've always wanted a tattoo but never knew what I wanted for one. I wanted to be original and not something overused as well as something special to me for whatever reason may be. At first I wanted one symbolizing Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time since it was my first ever game but so many had small writing and I'm bad at drawing designs so making one by hand was impossible.
And then, in the middle of this quarantine me and a few friends were really into playing Among Us and it got me thinking about space a lot. And finally, in a very depressed state, scrolling through tik toks and finding the "don't be sad, go get a tattoo" song I made the choice to get a tattoo inspired by those moments of having such great fun with friends that I otherwise couldn't be with. But not of those spacemen. No. It must be of the impostor! My most glorious, yet nerve-racking moments. I'd make it semi realistic too so that way it'd look like a regular spaceman to most and I wouldn't get shit for a simple tattoo over a simple game. My friend who promised to get one with me choose the simple way but honestly it fits her well. And I'm totally not salty about not having a tattoo that was a combination of both of our art... but her idea is too cute to confront her about changing the plan.
Its honestly been a struggle just making the line art since my parents are so against me "rushing into getting something so pricey" even though I've fucking thought about this for months and want to start working so I can make money towards buying it, AND being super picky over my character, style, and how well I'd make the drawing for MONTHS. Like seriously, it's my art, the only person I would have to blame would be myself cause I made the tattoo for the artist to put on me, not like I found it or it was theirs. And it's also not like I'm picking a terrible place to get one either. Like seriously, I've known what to look for from a tattooist for literal years.
Anyways enough ranting, here's the line art that I just inked. I'll post the colored picture soon. It's already taken me all day to make this cause I've never made a spacesuit before and they're so baggy so I had to take so many precautions to insure that if I hated it or messed up I could just trace my work on a new paper and try again. And the same will probably happen when I color it since I only have watercolor pencils and that shit doesn't erase because its actual paint rather than just pigmented graphite.

efore I inked the piece I had a lot more little details, and even though the tattoo will be decently big I figured I'd black out those details cause they're gonna hurt getting inked and they're probably gonna disappear or get muddy as it ages.
I also for the life of me, cannot get the thought out of my head of this spaceman being one my characters named Staller, it makes sense though since he's an assassin.
