I walk into evys house " oh my god cassie I was worried you wouldn't come" Evy sighs
" Of course" I whisper biting back tears she can't look at me she's even avoiding my glance " were is Susan and chloe"
" Upstairs come on" evys waves I manage to muster a smile,a and wave my mom goodbye. We reach a staircase and it turns to Evy's room.
As soon as I walk in chloe runs and hugs me, she at least has the decency to look me in the eye. Susan comes over and gives me a side hug.
" So I was thinking we could play with one of those host boards"Evy says
" Yeah" chloe says
" Ok " Susan says plopping on the floor and stuffing her knifes in her bag.
" I'm in" I sit on the floor and Evy takes out the board.
" Ok so how do we start this thing" Susan questions
" I think we like say a prayer" Evy replies" I'll try"
" Fine with me" I say scooting back with chloe and Susan
" Oh board give us a spirit to talk with, that will lead us, and answer some questions"Evy says laughing as she raises her arms in mock prayer.
The light in the middle of the board goes red and says fine.
" Creepy" susan whispers grabbing one of her knifes.
" Yeah" chloe says
" um so we ask it a question" Evy asks
" Umm, who is the most popular girl in school" I ask smiling a little
L, O ,R ,E ,N " Loren!!" Chloe,me,susan,and Evy shout at the same time. " Wait how she was like not popular yesterday, what the hell" Evy says
" Yeah I thought it would be one of us" chloe says
" Oh I know, who is the least popular girl in school now" Evy asks
C,A,S,S,I,E " oh cassie I'm sorry it's just a stupid board" my heart fills with hatred " just some stupid board" I spit " you know if it's so stupid then why does it know Loren's name" I run out of the room and into one of evys secret passages, I curl into a ball rocking back and forth " I I its not fair" I sob smacking my head on the wall " I'm stupid,worthless" I take my hands against my face and hair. I bang my head over and over until I can't remember anything else but the bang of my head against the wall.
" I hate my life"
