TITANS TOWER, 2019

Kory doesn't bother to leave the Medical Room after Percy's outburst. Feeling confused and guilty, she doesn't want to leave him and risk him getting another panic attack all by himself.

Kory is not sure what just happened and why. Maybe it had something to do with his sudden arrival, as he didn't seem to be aware of that until she mentioned it. That's when he freaked out, which almost seemed like a panic attack.

"You're gonna stay here? ", Dawn asks softly. She just did a final check on Percy and was about to leave when realizing Kory was still there.

"Yeah. ". Dawn nods as she walks to the hallway. Before walking off, she turns to Kory.

"Take care of yourself. Okay? ". Kory mumbles a soft sure and Dawn hesitates but leaves eventually. Now Kory is all alone, which she didn't seem to care about, sitting in the uncomfortable wooden chair. She's getting hungry but feeds herself with guilt.

She isn't ready to leave Percy yet and again.

She sits there for a few minutes before someone enters and speaks up, startling her.

"If you are planning to stay here all night, at least grab something to eat. ", the voice startles her. "And grab a pillow or something, that chair isn't made to be sleeping on. ". 

"I will be fine. ", she reacts and Dick sighs heavily.

"I know. ", he reacts. "We all know. ". He walks into the room, gazing at Kory's hand which is folded with Percy's. Kory tries to stretch slightly, hiding a yawn as she rubs her face and Dick sighs. "Are you planning to stay here all night? ".

"Probably, yes. ". Kory peeks at the clock, slightly whining at the time. "Just got to grab some coffee. I'll be fine. ".

"You said that. ". Dick crosses his arms, staring at Kory who can almost feel his gaze burning on her skin.

"You want something, Grayson? ". Her eyes flash towards Dick's, waiting for an answer. Dick closes the door and leans back.

"You want to tell me what happened tonight? ".

"What if I don't? ", Kory asks, tilting her head, and Dick chuckles.

"Up to you, Kory. ". She leans back in her chair, shaking her head as she lets out a small sigh.

"Wow. ", she snorts. "Detective Grayson can't figure it out himself? ". Standing up from her chair, Kory shoves her hands in the pockets of her pants.

"Don't think so low of me. ", Dick responds with a cheesy smile. "We can talk or I will figure it out myself. ". With those words, Dick opens the door again and walks out. Kory rolls her eyes at him and grunts, following him into the hallway.

Kory blinks awake, mind is still hazy as she doesn't remember going to bed. She pushes herself to her feet, being surrounded by the darkness. With a slightly soar back, Kory recognizes the space around her as the lounge and not her bedroom. Making her way towards the curtains, she hears something fall down the hallway.

"Gar? Is that you? ", she whispers hard, trying to not wake the others as she knows Gar is the type to stay quiet in order not to bother anyone. But no one answers her, the Tower stays quiet and Kory frowns. Sneaking towards the light switch, her eyes fixate on a shadow down the hallway. Turning the hallway lights on, she squeezes her eyes together.

"Percy? ".

"Kory? ". He lowers his hand, pushing himself away from the wall he's leaning on. "What are you doing here? ". She chuckles, lowering her head slightly as Percy knits his brows.

"I live here. ". Percy's mouth forms an O, showing no sign of numbness at all.

"Oh, cool... So you can explain to me why I am here, right? ". Kory nods, her eyes flashing towards the bedroom doors located in the hallway.

"Let's talk in the kitchen. ", she suggests, turning on her heels. "You hungry? ".

The next moment, Percy is sitting at the bar, eating a bowl of cereal as Kory leans back on the kitchen counter.

"Why can't I remember a thing of all of that? ", Percy wonders.

"Probably the drugs. ", she shrugs and Percy almost chokes on his cereal.

"You drugged me?! ".

"Technically, my friend Dawn did. ", Kory defends herself, crossing her arms at him.

"But you didn't stop her, did you? ".

Busted.

"Sorry? ", she tries. Percy lets out a fake gasp as his spoon falls back into the bowl, placing his hand on his chest.

"Ouch. ". Kory snorts and his mouth curves into a smile. Her eyes meet his and Kory can't help it but says:

"I am glad you're here. ".

"And I am glad you didn't leave me again. ", Percy speaks and Kory rolls her eyes at him. There's a moment of silence between the two when Percy's mood switches. The smile on his face disappears, there's a glimpse of sadness in his eyes and Kory feels herself tense up.

"Why did you leave me? ".
