ALVAMOR, 2017

The sun lights up the crown prince's face as he lays on the balcony, arms and legs spread out. His eyes are closed as he enjoys the warmth of the sun on his face, a soft and cold breeze keeping him from overheating. Besides the rustling of leaves, the world around him is quiet and peaceful, the main reason he decided to 'sunbathe' on his balcony.

Suddenly, something hits his leg. Ph jerks up, his heart rate spiking as his face becomes slightly pale, when his wide eyes meet the ones of the Tamaranean princess. "Fucking hell, Kori! ", he exclaims, letting himself fall back to the floor as he covers his face.

"I thought you were dead. ", Koriand'r calls.

"Well, you almost gave me a heart attack! ".

Koriand'r rolls her eyes before looking down at her best friend. "Would you please explain to me why you were laying on your balcony in starfish style? ".

"Because it's fun? ", Ph questions, dropping his arms. Kori raises her eyebrows at him, tilting her head which makes Ph'Amr groan. "Why do I need a reason for everything I do? ".

Kori drops to the concrete, muttering: "Get used to it. When you're becoming the King, everything must be done with a reason. ". She turns her head, eyes meeting Ph's before she spreads her limbs all of the sudden.

Ph closes his eyes as laughs come from his mouth, making Koriand'r frown at him. "What are you doing? ".

"Trying to find the use of your starfish position. ", Koriand'r defends herself, making Ph'Amr laugh even harder. "Stop laughing at me! ".

He brings his hands to his eyes, wiping away the tears that were formed, as his laughter deadens. "You looked like an idiot. ". Kori hums as she sits back up, wrapping her arms around her legs. Ph turns his head at her, sighing: "Don't be like that. ". He pushes himself up, shuffling towards her as he wraps an arm around her shoulder as he whispers: "I'm sorry, okay? ".

"Like you didn't look like a complete idiot... ", she mutters, making Ph snort which brings back a smile to her face.

"That's the Kori I know. ".

"She wouldn't have left if you didn't call her an idiot. ", Koriand'r smirks, before adding another warning: "Next time you call me an idiot, Perce, you will meet Starfire. ".

"Sure. ", he chuckles.

"I'm being serious! ", Kori calls out, pushing her shoulder against his as she turns her head.

"Can't wait to meet her then. ", Ph adds sarcastically. He waits a moment before adding on a soft tone: "Like you would ever hurt me, Kori. ".

His eyes meet her gaze, which the two hold before Koriand'rs eyes flash down to his lips. Ph'Amr sucks in a deep breath as she slowly, but fast in his opinion, leans in. His mind seems to shut down when their lips touch, unable to process. He feels lightheaded and his lips feel numb as she backs away only a moment later.

Koriand'r gasps, eyes widen as she feels the heat burn up inside her cheeks. She drops her gaze, getting on her feet as she mutters a soft: "I need to go... I'm sorry... ", to him.

It takes a moment for Ph'Amr to snap out of it. He jumps up so fast that his head starts spinning, so he leans against the iron fence only to be greeted with the sound of a running engine. The Tamaranean spaceship levitates into the sky before disappearing as Ph'Amrs chest tightens and he falls back to the ground in defeat.

It's been a while... around 2 months.

For some reason, I couldn't write but only come up with new ideas for Fanfictions. You might have noticed that I've published a 'Preview' of another two stories. These stories will not start any time soon as I want to make sure I have at least a few chapters ready.

Besides, I really want to keep writing this story. I have too many ideas for other fanfictions, but before I start those I want to make sure that this story won't be abandoned.

Anyway, I have noticed that the reads have gone fast since I last updated this book.

Thank you guys so much!

I hope you all enjoy this story as much as I enjoy writing it, even though that might not seem like it because of the 2-month break.
