It's going to be alright.
A/N: This will be Hoseok's POV, and also a conversation they might have had when it turned out Namjoon wasn't enlisting with Hoseok.
Hoseok's POV
It's almost Christmas, and I can't believe it's been almost 8 months.
While I've been in the military, I've seen what has been happening, but those things don't matter.
I will never forget the conversation I had with Namjoon when he told me he wasn't enlisting.
It was a week before it was announced I was enlisting. I was expecting to enlist with Namjoon, but something came up.
I wasn't expecting Namjoon to turn up at my door that evening.
"Hobi," he said.
"Namjoon, what are you doing here?" I said.
Namjoon didn't say anything for a few seconds, so I asked if he wanted to come in.
He nodded and came inside.
After Namjoon came inside, I could feel something was off.
Namjoon sat down and looked at me.
"Namjoon, is something wrong?" I said.
What I didn't expect was for Namjoon to suddenly burst into tears.
"I'm sorry," he cried.
"What for?" I said.
"I won't be enlisting with you, Hobi," he said.
"What? You're kidding, right?" I asked.
Namjoon just shook his head.
"Oh, Namjoon," I laughed. "Why are you wasting your tears because of that? It's fine," I said.
He just looked at me with teary eyes and a tear stained face.
It broke my heart to see Namjoon like that, but I needed to be the Hyung I am and comfort him.
I sat on the settee next to him and said, "Namjoon-ah, you don't have to feel guilty."
Namjoon suddenly hugged me, still crying slightly.
"Shh, it's going to be alright," I said.
Once Namjoon had stopped crying, I broke the hug and wiped his face.
"Are you feeling better?" I asked.
"Yeah," he said.
"I'm sorry about this," he said.
"Hey!" I shouted.
Because of my shout, Namjoon looked like he would start crying again.
"Hey," I said gently. "Don't cry. I'm not mad."
"But you're only human, Joonie. You're allowed to cry."
"I know," he said.
He still looked sad, so I did the only thing I could think of.
I put my hands on either side of his face and said, "Namjoon, I know it will be hard, but if you even need to talk just ring and ask for me."
"Okay," he said, his voice sounding wet.
"Hey," I said. "At least you still have to put up with me for 2 to 3 weeks."
He smiled at me. A few tears were still going down his face, but those were happy tears.
At the enlistment
At my enlistment, I noticed Namjoon was sad and he had been drinking, but I didn't find out till later that he started getting emotional.
I wouldn't see the video until it got uploaded on our channel.
As I watched it, I just smiled and said, "Thank you, Namjoon."
