CHAPTER 45- Question
HEY IF YOU GUYS WANNA DO ME A BIG FAVOR AND GO THROUGH MY FANFIC SILENCE (EVEN IF YOU READ IT ALREADY) BECAUSE IT'S REALLY CLOSE TO 4 MILLION READS AND I THINK WE CAN GET THERE TONIGHT!
Demi's POV
It's been a week since the incident. Izzy woke up in the morning and agreed with Wilmer and I that she should go to therapy, and now isn't having as many nightmares. But that didn't mean I didn't have them. Some nights I was afraid to fall asleep in fear of hearing her screams again.
Tonight was one of those nights.
"Are you coming to bed Demi?" Wilmer asked as I sat on the couch staring out of the window.
"Not yet."
He sighed and walked over to me and grabbed my hand, "Come on nena, we have to be up early tomorrow for therapy."
I sighed and followed him up the stairs and climbed into the bed. Even after Wilmer turned out the light and kissed me goodnight I laid in bed staring at the ceiling.
"Okay." Wilmer sighed, "What's wrong?"
I buried my head into my hands and turned my face into his chest.
"I can't sleep at night Wilmer. I can't fall asleep without hearing her scream. Every night it's the same dream. But I can never save her."
Wilmer shook his head and squeezed me tight against him, "What can I do? Let me help you tell me what to do."
I looked up at him and pressed our lips together. He kissed me back, clearly alarmed by my lunatic behavior. I intensified the kiss, and my motives became clear to Wilmer as he pulled away with a groan.
"Demi I can't, you know that."
I shook my head and pulled myself closer to him, practically laying on his torso.
"Please? Make me forget, even if it's just for tonight make me forget."
He sighed, and I was prepared to beg again but he flipped us over on the bed, and kissed me passionately. I moaned aloud, knowing that he couldn't say no to me was an advantage.
I reached for the t-shirt he was wearing and lifted it up a bit, trailing with my nails down his defined stomach. Wilmer shuddered and let out a moan as my hands drifted lower, palming him through the thin material of his boxers. I used my muscles to turn us again, me straddling his waist. His warm hands were no longer tentative as they ripped off my shirt- he wanted this just as much as I did. I ground down onto his member and hooked my fingers through the waistband of his shorts, slowly pulling them down. In the same instant, Wilmer's hands pulled off my panties I'd worn to bed and his fingers pressed against my core. I moaned as he slipped a digit inside, nearly making me climax on the spot.
"Fuck you're so wet." He groaned, and I pushed our mouths back together. If he kept talking like that I'd explode.
"Ready baby?" I nodded and bit my lip to stop from screaming out as he entered me slowly.
Within minutes, we were both rapidly approaching out peaks. Finally, I collapsed onto his chest, breathing heavily as his arms tightened around me.
"God I love you." He gasped out, as I kissed and sucked on his neck. I knew exactly which spots to hit to get him excited again, and soon enough I felt him pressing against my thigh.
Good thing our room is soundproof.
~*~
I woke up lying across Wilmer's chest with his fingertips trailing along my bare spine. I peaked up at him and smiled widely.
"Hi."
His eyes were soft and full of love, "Hey beautiful."
I moved forward and kissed his lips softly, "Are you mad at me?"
Wilmer frowned, "Why would I be mad at you?"
I shrugged and smoothed down his bedhead, "Because you didn't want to have sex, and we did."
He smiled, "Of course I wanted to Demi, I just wanted to make sure we were completely ready."
I nuzzled my head into the crook of his neck, "I wish we could just stay here forever."
Wilmer check his phone, "Well that's going to bit of a problem because we'll miss our appointment. But believe me, if we could, I would."
I smiled and kissed him again before getting out of bed and walking into the closet.
"You know you could just stay like that!" Wilmer called, and I poked my head out of the door to see him laughing.
"I think Kelly would be a little bit concerned don't you think?" He chuckled and got up, pulling on his boxers.
"Well I'd be fine with it."
~*~
"So, have you guys thought about your questions for each other?" Kelly asked once we sat down on the couch. Wilmer and I both nodded. "Well Wilmer, why don't you go first."
He sighed and looked me in the eyes, "When I go out and drink when things are tough, do I remind you of Patrick?"
I inhaled sharply and looked at Kelly who was giving Wilmer a curious stare.
"Well Demi? Does he remind you of your birthfather?"
I looked down and took a deep breath, "Yes." I couldn't look at Wilmer, ashamed of his reaction but knew he was horrified.
"In what ways Demi?"
I played with the rings on my fingers, "It's how my dad started, when him and my mom got in a fight he'd go out and come home drunk. He used to not be able to hurt a fly and then one night he came home drunk and my mom yelled at him and he just snapped. It's not that I think Wilmer i going to do that, it's just... I can't help but notice their similarities." I finally summoned the courage to peak up at Wilmer and closed my eyes at the sad expression he wore.
"Wilmer how do you feel about that?" He inhaled deeply through his nose and shook his head.
"It's a different answer than I was expecting that's for sure. I just... I don't even know what to think. Hermosa... I'd never lay a hand on you in anger, you know that don't you?"
I nodded eagerly, "Of course I do Wilmer. It's just the way you come home drunk and don't remember anything that happened the night before... It scares me."
He sighed, "I had no idea you felt that way... I'm so sorry."
Kelly smiled, "This is excellent progress guys, Demi... What is your question to Wilmer?"
I bit my lip, "Uhm... When did you start thinking that way?"
He shrugged and looked at his boots, "Since the day I found you nearly dead."
I flinched at his words, "Oh."
Kelly sighed, "It's important for us to be honest here Demi. How do you feel about Wilmer's answer?"
I sighed, "I mean... it hurts a little. I've grown alot in my recovery and he's always told me how proud he is... I kind of feel like all of that is a lie now. I don't really get how someone can tell another that their proud and that they trust them when in reality they don't trust that person at all."
Wilmer pinched the bridge of his nose, "Demi I trust you, and I'm so immensely proud about how far you've come. I just.... Seeing you like that all those years ago, nearly losing you that day... it killed something inside of me."
I nodded and kept my head down so I didn't have to look at him.
"Right. Well I think you guys have made amazing progress. Now remember, communication is key. If one of you wants to get something off of your chest right now, I want you to say it now and we can discuss it next time. But you guys can't walk out of here and starting screaming about it in the car."
Wilmer nodded, "I don't think we should've slept together last night."
