CHAPTER 3- I fell. 

Izzy's POV 

"What the fuck happened?" 

I sighed, "Nothing, I fell." 

It was obvious that Marissa didn't believe my lie, 

"C'mon Izzy you can tell me." 

I groaned, "I'm serious Mar. I just fell, slammed my head on a bench."

She bent down and took my face in her hands, tilting it side to side to examine the damage. 

"Babe, you don't have to lie to me. I know you didn't fell. Someone- a few someones, did this to you."

I jerked my face away, hitting it against the door in the process. Marissa helped my up and led me to the bathroom. 

"Let's get you cleaned up." 

I sat on the counter wincing as she dabbed at my wounds, making me wince. After I was clean Marissa pulled me into a tight hug, I flinched as the bruises on my side throbbed. 

"Izzy?" She questioned, as I dropped out of her hold.

"Yeah?" My voice was strangled. 

"Lift up your shirt."

I froze, "No."

 She took a step forward, "Isabella . Lift up your shirt right now." 

I held up one finger, "One condition." 

Marissa rolled her eyes, "What." 

My gaze burned into hers, "You can't tell my mom." 

She sighed, "Izzy-" "No. You can't tell anyone. At all." 

It was silent for a minute, before she finally answered. 

"Fine. You're mom's gonna literally kill me when she finds out- because she will, but fine." 

With a deep breath, I lifted up my shirt, preparing myself for her reaction. 

"IZZY! WHAT THE FUCK?! WHO DID THIS TO YOU?" She hissed, bending down to look at my stomach that was more purple than tan. 

I shrugged, "It was just a one time thing, I was provoking a group of girls... they snapped and I paid the consequences." 

Marissa glared at me, "Really? You expect me to believe that? Some of these are weeks old. I'm gonna ask you one more time. Who did this?" 

Again, I shook my head. "I know what you'll do Mar, you'll go after them and then my mom will find out, Marissa please. I can't tell you." 

She sighed, and pulled me into a light hug, "I just don't like seeing you hurt Iz, I love you." 

I hugged her back, "I love you too Mar."
