A light shake of your shoulders got your attention, Mitch standing there crossing his arms shortly after the motion. "Morning! Louis told me to wake you. Though, I did let you sleep a few minutes longer before our great exploration." You sat up, rubbing most of the tiredness out of your eyes. "Oh shit, right." You quickly get up, Mitch tossing you an already packed backpack right as you finish putting on your boots. "Packed a few snacks from what I could find. And a few extra knives, the basics. Don't want us getting lost with nothing to defend ourselves." You nod, grabbing your usual gun and knife and opening the door. "Wanna say goodbye to everyone outside?" He instantly nods and follows you to the yard, the slightly chilly breeze making goosebumps appear. "Want my jacket?" Mitch asks already partially shrugging it off. You shake your head, "Don't wanna get it bloody again if anything. But nah, it's fine. I like the breeze." He sighs, putting it back on fully. "Whatever you say."
Louis and Aasim were already standing by the gate. Everyone were saying goodbye to them as well, and to you once you approach them. Willy approached the two of you, giving Mitch a long hug, same with you. "You sure I can't come?" Willy slightly pouts, "Sorry kid, maybe next time." Mitch ruffles the kids hair. "Be careful." Someone mutters from behind you. You turn, crouching down to hug the one who spoke. "We will Tenn, don't worry." Said boy smiles, "You better!" He hugs you tighter, only letting go once Louis says you four should get going. Tenn backs away, waving along with everyone else. Clem gives Louis a quick kiss before the four of you finally exit the gate, the whole rest of the group growing distant to your view as you walked further away.
"Well, you're the one with the map. Where we going?" Mitch asks, looking to Louis who takes out the folded paper and unfolds it, pointing out a spot on it. "Aasim saw them here. Perhaps we could make a deal with them or trade. Something along the lines of that." Mitch and Aasim nod, you guess that Clem came up with some of those ideas. Maybe all of them. Between you, Clem, and Violet, Louis wasn't all that smart enough to come up with good ideas. Respectfully.
"What's got you so giggly for?" Louis attention goes to you for a split second, noticing your little laughs. "Nothin'. Just thinking." He rolls his eyes, a smile present on his face. Mitch put an arm around your shoulder as you all walked, the scent of a dead carcass nearby made Aasim gag from the stench. "That's fowl." He huffs, gripping the map a bit tighter. "We've been around like a hundred zombies each day. Don't tell me you haven't gotten used to this." Mitch raises a brow at him. "Aasim stop being whiny baby. What would Ruby think?" Louis nudges him which earned him a slap to the head. "I ain't ever gonna get used to it but might as well try to anyway." You grin at the upset man. He just sighs, and suddenly stops, making the rest of you stop. Except for Louis who bumps into him since he wasn't paying attention.
Aasim pays no mind to him and just points at the area nearby. A distant chatter was heard. "There they are." Mitch lowers his arm, setting his grip onto his knife that stayed in his pocket. "Remember, if they start fighting us, fight or flight. Don't know about you but I'm flighting." Louis grins, pretending to tie his shoes quickly. "Is flighting even a word?" You mutter to Aasim since he was basically a human dictionary. "Correct. Though, that's not the proper use of that word." He whispers back, walking up the the short fence that blocked their view from the people behind it. Louis rolled his eyes, "Psh, whatever Einstein." He follows him, slowing his steps to a quite slow pace. You could tell he was slightly nervous. Even though he was the one who basically suggested this idea.
Mitch patted you shoulder before he followed, knife still in hand. You look around quickly, making a quick note of the area before running to catch up with your group. You could hear a few shouts of confused people and such. When you made it, people had weapons pointed to the group of three you were currently with. "Who do you think you are coming into here uninvited?!" A blonde woman shouts, a weapon you didn't recognize in her hand. "We just wanted to talk!" Aasim tries to assure the startled group. "Yeah right! The last people who came in here to 'talk' to us, they—"
"That's enough! Calm down Molly."
The girl sneers before lowering her weapon. "You don't seriously trust these people so soon?" She motions to you four. "No but I'd at least like to hear them out." A new woman walked over, her tied up hair slightly bouncing as she walked to the scene. "We just wanted to talk. Maybe perhaps even trade or something." Louis nervously coughs out. She's silent for a minute before she hears Louis mutter, "Maybe Clem should've came instead." Both of the women that stood in front of their group turned to each other with shocked expressions. "Clementine?.." The unknown woman utters. "You know her?" You finally speak up as the woman suddenly grows shaky. "Yeah, me and Molly here used to be in a group with her and her dad, Lee." The name hesitated to leave her lips as Molly sighed next to her.
"Maybe you guys could come see her?" Louis suggested, getting worried glances from the rest of his small team. "Dude, she may know Clem's dad but how do we know she ain't a bad person?" Mitch whispers, trying not to grab the womens in front of him's attention. "She would have killed us, yes? I think we can trust her. Plus, Clem might be happy she can reunite with old friends." Aasim sighs, skeptical as much as Mitch was but reluctantly nodded. "Say, what's your name?" He pointed to the woman next to Molly.
"Christa. You can call me Christa."
