Blue Martini

Leo eyed the signage. Isang karaniwang bar.

''The RedWater'' He muttered.

The smokes everywhere. People are dancing crazily in rhythm. The neon lights made his eyes ache. And people who make out in the corner. But Leo entered the bar not minding them.
He have a gut feeling that Amber is here.

Meron pa ngang nag-offer sa kanya ng one night stand. But he's busy finding someone and until in the left side, he saw her.

"Hey!"
He reached the VIP section.

The two girl looked at him while Amber choked in her drink. She even coughed.

"Why did you-- find me?!?!"
Amber shouted after she recovered.

Confused about what's Leo's problem, at sinundan pa talaga siya dito.

Leo sit on the right sofa even if she didn't invites him. But Amber didn't mind, she's just busy drinking on her own glass.

"Nagtanung ako sa aso. Sabi niya nandito ka daw."
Leo sarcastically said.

"Ang lakas ng pang-amoy noh? Nahanap kita dito--"

Leo grabbed her drinks, which is the drinks of Amber.
Nanlaki pa ang mata nito dahil sa gulat ng pangingialam ng lalaki. Nabitin ang pag-inom nito kaya halos matapon ang laman.

"What are you doing!?!"
Galit na sigaw nito.

"Hindi ka dapat umiinom nito."
He smell the glass and cringed his nose. Ang tapang ng amoy.

"The hell you care! Leave!"
Amber said in authority.

"Wait!"
Stella interrupted.

"What was that dog thingy? Nakaka-out of place ah! Magsyota ba kayo?"
She asked.

"NO!!" "Hell No!!"
Sabay na sigaw ni Leo at Amber.

"He's my driver and I don't even know him."
Amber said dryly and grabbed her drinks from him.

"Hindi niya ako driver! Personal bodyguard niya ako!"
Bwelta naman ni Leo.
Hindi kasi nito gusto na tinatawag siyang driver. Basta ayaw niya lang.

Agad napatingin ang tatlo sa kanya, kasama si Amber na gulat na gulat pa. Kita naman sa mga nanlalaking mata nito.

"PERSONAL BODYGUARD??"
They said in unison. Note that they shouted at him. So Leo almost cover his ears.

Maski si Amber ay hindi makapaniwalang nakatingin lang dito. Naghihintay lang ng sagot.

Nagkatinginan naman si Stella at Diane hanggang sa--

"Hmmpt! Bwahahahahaha! Ahahahahaha"

"BWAHAHAHAHAHAH! HAHAHAHAHAHA!"
Hindi man halata ay nangibabaw ang tawa ni Diane. Kaya marami ang napapatinging tao sa kanya o sa kanilang banda.

Halos hindi na din makahinga ang dalawa sa kakatawa. Pinagpapalo pa ni Stella ang lamesa dahil sa sobrang tawa nito.

"Bwahahahahaha!"

"Ahahahahaha!"

Until Amber glares at them that made them stopped.

"Hmpt! Ehem! How come?!?"
Natatawa pa rin na tanong ni Stella.

Ngayon lang kasi ito nakarinig ng isang assassin na may personal bodyguard. At ang nakakagulat ay si Amber pa! They already know her, and it really doesn't fits on her to have a bodyguard.

"I think dad hired him."
Amber said in a poker face.

"Mas okay pa sana kung driver eh! But- hmpt! Bodyguard??"
Sabi ni Diane bago pagak na tumawa. Ngayon lang yata ito tumawa ng ganito dahil mas kilala itong tahimik na tao.

Leo got confused at their reactions. He questions himself.
Bakit ba na napaka-big deal sa kanila ang pagiging bodyguard nito?

"By the way, Amber. Kindly introduce him to us!"
Pa-cute na sabi ni Diane habang nakatingin kay Leo.

"Tss! I don't even know him."
She replied.

"Ano??"
Aniya.

"I thought you know him? You said, he's your driver?"
Diane added.

"Pero anyway! I'm Stella Hemikawa."
Ngumiti pa 'to kay Leo.

She extended her hands to have a  handshakes at him and Leo accepted it.

"Leo Gonzales."
He formally said.

"Leo, this is Diane Fontanilla."
She said while at pointing Diane.

Balik na naman ito sa pagiging poker face at hindi ma lang pinansin ang dalawa. Busy ito sa pagkain.

"And also this is Amber, you know her right?"
She asked.

Leo just nodded.

"So, tell me--"
Seryosong sabi ni Stella.

"Virgin ka pa ba?"
Diretsong tanong nito. Kaya naging dahilan ng pagsapak sa kanya ng dalawang kaibigan.

"Wala talagang filter 'yang bunganga mo eh no?"
Diane said.

"I'm just kidding! Itatanong ko lang sana kung--"
Sabi nito bago inilapit ang mukha kay Leo.

"Single ka pa ba??"
Bulong nito.

"Ah! May girlfriend na'ko."
Napapakamot naman na sabi ni Leo.

Napa-oh naman si Stella at Diane.

"Ano? Natahimik ka?"
Nang-aasar na tanong ni Diane kay Stella.

"Mahilig ako sa boys pero hindi ako solutera noh!"
Sigaw nito pabalik, bago bumaling kay Leo.

"Ang swerte naman ng girlfriend mo sayo. Pero maghahanap nalang ako ng bodyguard na kasing gwapo mo!!"
She flirtatiously said.

"Baka naman main-love si Amber sa'yo niyan! Hahaha!"

Napangiwi nalang si Leo sa narinig.

They simultaneously look slowly at Amber but she's too busy drinking her drinks.

It looks like she's been sinking on her own deep thoughts to didn't notice them.

"Anong nangyari sa amasonang 'to??" Sa isip-isip ni Leo habang nakakunot ang noong nakatingin sa babae.

Amber finally noticed the eyes staring at her.

"What are you looking at me like that?!?"

Napaiwas naman agad ng tingin ang tatlo at nagkunwaring may ginagawa.

Amber glares at them once again before she drinks.

After a few minutes, Amber stand up.

"Uuwi ka na?"
Leo asked.

"Tss! Restroom."
Sabi nito bago umalis.

Hinintay muna ni Stella na makalayo ito bago magsalita.

"Nagbago na siya. Parang bumalik na ang dating Amber."
Malungkot na sabi ni Stella.

Kumunot naman agad ang noo ni Leo. "What do you mean?"

"She's too quite the whole time. Ang tipid na din nitong sumagot."
Diane replied.

Stella agreed also.
"Amber is a happy person, though inside. But she seems like a cold person now. Naging malamig pa yata ito sa yelo simula ng mamatay ang mommy niya."

Leo got silenced. He realized, it's because of her mother. Hindi halata na malungkot ito dahil magaling itong magtago. And he admire her with that. She's too brave to handle her emotions even if its hurts her to much.

Stella glanced at Amber's direction. Sa ladies comfort room mismo.

Palinga-linga din ito bago may kinuha sa bulsa.

It's a small bottle with a blue liquid inside.

And she immediately poured it into Amber's glass. Leaving it empty.

"What are you doing??"
Leo grabbed it from her.

"Shhhh! It's just my experiment."
Stella put her index finger on her lips. Making him quite.

"Experiment?"
He asked.

"Gamot na pangpalasing."
Si Diane ang sumagot.

"Lalasingin niyo siya?"

Stella nodded.
"Yup!" Popping the p.

"Amber have a high tolerance in drinks. Kailan man ay hindi ko pa 'to nakitang nalasing. So, I was just always curious and I made this for her."
Stella points the small glass.

Magaling ito sa ganung bagay. She's also so called "the walking Einstein" in their group.

"Pero--"

She immediately covered his mouth.

"Ayan na siya."
Bulong nito.

They didn't blink twice while looking at Amber who just sit on the sofa.

Hindi din mapakali si Leo. He's also so curious about the effects to her. Kahit na nag-aalinlangan pa man.

And that made Amber confused at their actions.
"Problema niyo?"
She annoyingly said.

"Wala naman, hehe!"
Stella smiled, showing her full teeth at her.

"Tss!"
Amber hissed before grabbing her tequila. Hindi iyon ang nalagyan ni Stella.

"Ay nako! Huwag 'yan!"
Stella stopped her.

"At bakit naman hindi?"
Napangiwi na sabi ni Amber, nabitin na naman sa pag-inom.

"That tastes awful!"
Maarteng sagot nito.

"Eh gusto ko eh."
Then she rolled her eyes.

"How about this? The blue martini is good."
Stella pushed the blue drink towards her.

"Why are you forcing me to drink that?" She suspiciously said.

"Kung ayaw mo edi 'wag!"
Diane grabbed it. Pero inagaw naman ulit ni Amber.

"This is mine!"
Amber shouted.

Napalunok naman ang tatlo nang dahan-dahang inangat ni Amber ang blue martini sa bibig nito.

Alam niyo bang nagkasakit ako last week?

Sobrang lutang ko na kahit may naisip na'kong ideas. Tinatamad naman akong magsulat.
Hanggang ngayon inuubo pa rin ako. It is been two weeks from now. At meron pang konting dugo! 😱 Anyare? Ba't ganito?
