Does it not spoil your enjoyment?
Does it not take off the poem's shine?
When you go straight to the bottom
And proceed to read the punchline

I'll have to start throwing some curve balls
And attempt to throw you off the scent
Remember we talked about reverse poems?
Maybe that's the way to prevent

You reading my poems backwards
From the bottom then to the top
You're only ruining it for yourself
Swamp girl, you just have to stop

Maybe that's not the way to go
As that's the way those should be read
But reading the last line first is wrong
You've got to get that out of your head

So in future start by reading the first line
Don't let your eyes slip to one underneath
And definitely don't read the last line first
