Chapter 37: I'm not that messed up to be into necrophilia
Drake's POV
"Come on man, cheer up! From what I heard you got good news today." Liam tried to cheer me up.
I took a glance at him but kept staring at the empty glass in my hands. "I guess." I shrugged and looked at him again for a moment. He frowned with clear confusion on every corner on his face.
"you guess? You're not happy that Emily's going to be okay?" He questioned while Josh rolled his eyes behind him.
"Let me stop you right there before you keep making an ass out of yourself. He's obviously happy about Emily's news today. He's obviously busting his balls about something else." He patted Liam's shoulders to try to get his point gently. "So, what crawled up your ass and died?"
Josh endearing words always have the power to crack my heart open.
"Josh, if you do want my foot to be the one to crawl up your ass, I suggest to shut the f*ck up." I hissed. I definitely was not on my game today. The text that the bitch sent to me was enough to spoil whatever happy thoughts I had.
He raised his hands in surrender and turned to take another drink.
"Man, does any of this might be caused by a certain redheaded bitch?" Daniel asked nailing it.
We were currently sitting on a bar at some kid's house, drinking while I waited. A lot of girls have come to us but when they saw that I ignored them they turned to flirt with the guys but they wouldn't budge either. They had this crazy idea that if I were left alone I would try something stupid.
I took out my phone and glanced at the time. The guys did not know about the encounter that they were about to witness. I invited them just to have witnesses in case everything went to hell. I didn't trust myself around the bitch; I might kill her if she just set her sights on the things that I cared the most. Sadly, she already did. That's why I warned Emily to leave me alone and tried to tell her not to be seen with me. Gina could be a heartless bitch when she wanted to be and right now she seemed pretty intent in capturing my attention through Emily. I was on edge; clearly, I couldn't be left alone with her.
Daniel sighed but continued, obviously noting from my expression that he got his guess right. "What did she say now?" Irritation was clearly on his eyes, none of us could stand her.
We have all ran paths with her at some point. The d*ck who runs one of the biggest gangs in the U.S. left most of his dirty works to his little sister. She's the one who always comes to us when he wants something.
And right now, that something is me. Apparently my winnings have called some very important people's attention. I've, of course, turned them down.
I didn't need any more money. In a couple of weeks, my brother's dept will be paid and I will no longer be fighting. So what I've looked forward is to two more fights and I'm done.
But of course, that doesn't sit well with the d*ck and his bitch of a sister.
"She wants me to fight two more guys that her brother has requested." I answer bitterly.
"In exchange of what?" He asked carefully, knowing for a fact that she has made it pretty clear that this time she wasn't going to be ignored.
"She's going to mess with Emily. She said if I didn't oblige my girl would suffer the consequences." I held tighter the glass in my hand with each word I uttered.
"f*cking bitch" He muttered before he drank his shot.
I placed my glass on the bar and turned around surveying the area. She hasn't arrived yet.
She said she was going to see me again to establish the conditions of our 'agreement'.
My stomach was in knots just by thinking of her conditions. I had to admit that for the first time in years I was feeling nervous. Not because my life could be at risk, I've lost that fear so long ago, but the fear of something happening to her. I know I promised that nothing would happen to her, but now I was feeling the weight of that promise. How was I supposed to keep her safe if I couldn't be with her all the time? Double that odd by her being at the hospital.
I was in some dip sh*t, but no matter what, I won't let her touch Emily or I swear to God I will cross the line from beating up to homicide.
"Drake" Daniel made me turn my attention to him. "Is she supposed to meet you here?"
Again with the nailing thing, I narrow my eyes at him for a moment wondering if the guy either read minds or was psychic. I sighed and nodded.
"Wondering what's taking her so long." Josh wondered before he downed his drink.
"Maybe I should head out before I keep drinking and she decides to come when I'm dipsh*t drunk." I slowly stood and turned to them.
They muttered yeahs and I gave them a nod. I turned around and made my way towards the front of the house. There was a horde of people that made it somehow difficult for me to get there.
A lot of the girls that were dancing tried to throw themselves at me, but I gently declined. It was hard for me to take her hands off me but I succeeded.
I finally squeezed myself out and I couldn't think of another time when I was so grateful to breathe fresh air.
I began to stroll my way towards my bike when I felt that two arms encircled my own. On instinct, I hunched and threw the guy at my right side on the floor and kicked him. The one on my left tried to pull me preventing me to kick the guy on the floor. After the kick, I threw a punch to the guy on my left. He dodged it but left my arm free. He tried to punch me but I was quicker and tackled him instead. I straddled him and began to punch his face. He covered his face with his arms but I managed to get some good punches.
I was going to throw one more punch but was stopped by my forearm. I turned to look who did it but was met by a punch in the jaw. I recovered quickly and kicked the guy's leg and stood to face him.
There was no longer one but three guys that faced me.
Sh*t
Two of them threw themselves at me and I quickly dodge their punches. I got to hit one in the gut and the other in the jaw. But before I could keep going, I was tackled to the ground.
Before I could do anything else, I got a blow behind my head and it all went black.
~~~~
I woke up tied to a chair. Even in the situation that I was I had to roll my eyes at one of the mothers of all clichés.
Currently, I was on a well lit room. I got to hand it to my kidnappers. I wasn't in a typical dungy, dark room.
My location looked like a hotel room. It had cream colored walls and a small living room area with a small kitchen facing the living room.
There even were crystal doors that looked like it led to a balcony.
"Glad you're awake!" An overly high-pinch voice broke through the silence of the room. I didn't have to look to know who it was.
"Hi baby! I thought that I wasn't going to see you today. You know, it's not nice to bring a third wheel into a date or should I say wheels?" She was now on my sight with a mischievous smile plastered on her face.
Only the sight of her got my blood boiling. I had to bite down my tongue in order to keep myself from cussing at her. I had to be very careful. I know how to handle her but with the right words.
I need to see what she wanted first before I killed her.
"Honestly sweetheart, I would rather bang all those guys before touching that stale body of yours again." I know, I'm ticking her off, but that's how she works.
"Take that back." She warned, her face completely turning from fake happiness to p*ssed in a matter of seconds.
"Seriously, who would want to be with someone who resembled a statue?" I scoffed and that seemed to tick her off even more.
"Shut up!" She hissed coming closer to me.
"I know I'm messed up but I'm not that messed up to be into necrophilia." I chuckled at my own joke but she decided to slap me instead.
"Let's see how big that mouth of yours is. Boys!" She shouted and four big ass men came strolling inside the room. They all stood around me, waiting a command.
I scoffed and shook my head.
"What's so funny?" She questioned furrowing her brow in clear confusion, obviously not the reaction that she expected.
"Like assh*le like bitch, sending others to do their work." I answered with a mocking smirk.
She grunted and nodded once. The big guy on my right responded by hitting me square on the jaw.
A jolt of pain flashed in my head before I looked at her again. She was wearing the mocking smirk now.
I gritted my teeth awaiting the next blow but it didn't came.
"Tsk. Tsk. So eager to get your ass whipped. Now calm down and let me explain something to you. I'm the one in charge right now and I'm the one who will establish all the rules. For example, rule number one, bite your tongue 'cause I don't give a f*ck if you are p*ssed or I'll cut it out." She shrugged like cutting my tongue wasn't a big deal. "Your choice. Rule number two, never disrespect me or my brother in my presence or I'll cut a finger...or two." She winked. "And rule number three, never ever interrupt me while I'm talking or I'll cut your balls."
I just looked at her giving her my best murdering look. Apparently, that only made her smile.
"You look so cute when you are mad." She said in a overly sweet tone that sickened me.
"Now let's get to business. That's the reason you are here, duh. You see, I brought you here because I'm going to give you two options. Now listen carefully and choose wisely."
"First condition, you lose the next fight, face a beating and a possible accidental death. Oh and I will go after Emily ooor, cue the beginning of the awesome second condition here, you can win and I'll leave Emily alone." She smiled. "but if you win you will also be forced to work for my brother until he gets tired of your sorry ass."
I was torn between the so called conditions she stated and what I should do, or at least the right thing to do.
"Now, don't stress it out, sweetie. You have more than enough time to make a decision. Meanwhile, let me let you know of an insightful fact that I've learned recently." I stared at her with a bored expression.
She walked towards the balcony doors. She grabbed them and turned to look at me. "There was a fire not too long ago that destroyed this part of the hotel. They used to have these awful, ugly old doors that led to the balcony." What the f*ck is she talking about? Why the hell is she talking about doors right now?
"The fun part of it all is that they are now sound proof." She smiled and closed the doors.
"And no one will be able to hear you after I'm done with you." She laughed in a mocking way and got closer to me. She hunched down looking at me square in the eyes.
"You didn't think I was going to let you go that easily, right?" I growled not only at her proximity but of what awaited me too.
"This wouldn't be fun if we didn't...rough you up."
Oh...f*ck...
