Third Person POV

Boat was not able convince Poom to lie back down in bed.

Poom insisted on remaining seated out of respect for his master's presence in the room.

"Do you feel well enough to travel back to my house?" Up asked Poom.

"I really don't think so," Boat replied before Poom could say a word.

Poom looked undecided so Boat zeroed in on that.

"Poom," he sat beside Poom on the bed, placing his arm around Poom's shoulder. "Since you had been given an antibiotic through IV, there's a big chance that you would feel dizzy during the long trip back to Bangkok."

"How do you know this, Boat?" Up asked, starting to feel annoyed by Boat's butting into his conversation with Poom. "You're not a medical professional."

"I'm talking from personal experience," Boat replied in a firm voice. "I was hospitalized once for tonsillitis. I was given an antibiotic after my tonsils were removed. During the ride back home from the hospital I felt so dizzy that I felt like throwing up."

"I will let Poom lie on my lap throughout the trip," Up said, determinedly, matching Boat's firm voice. "I will have a plastic bag ready for him if he starts to feel nauseous."

Boat fixed his eyes on Poom, willing him to say no to Up.

It took some time for Poom to speak up. He seemed to be weighing the risks and benefits of the situation. Wait, there certainly were risks in taking the long trip back to Bangkok while he was still feeling unwell. He could not see any benefits to be gained from traveling back to Bangkok with his master. Maybe Boat was right, maybe it was better for him to remain with Boat until he fully recovered.

Poom was about to speak up to explain why it would be best for him to remain with Boat when he noticed the expression on his master's face.

There was actually not just one expression but a combination of emotions that were written all over his master's face.

Although his master kept quiet, just waiting for him to respond, Poom could see the desire, the yearning, the pleading look...

Poom stood up from the bed. Boat's arm that was wrapped around his shoulder fell to the side.

"I'm going back with you, master," Poom declared.

Boat's face turned red all over.

He stood squarely in front of Poom, blocking any movement.

"Don't be stupid," he said to Poom through clenched teeth.

"He has made his decision," Up said, quickly moving towards Poom and lifting Poom in his arms, carrying him bridal style out of the room.

Joss quickly got out of the car upon seeing Up approaching with Poom in his arms.

Joss opened the door to the passenger seat and watched as Up deposited Poom gently inside the car.

"I was willing to wait all night in the car if I had to," Joss said to Up with a wide grin.

"Let's go home," Joss turned around when he heard Poom speaking.

"You heard the man, Joss," Up said. "He wants you to bring him back home."

Up did not realize that he had been talking with so much quiver in his voice.

He made Poom lie on his lap.

"Let me know if ever you feel dizzy during the trip," Up said to him.

"Do you have a plastic bag somewhere in the car that I can use if ever that happens?" Poom asked anxiously.

"Don't worry about anything, Poom," Up tried to assure him.

What Up did not tell Poom was, even if he threw up all over him, he wouldn't mind. What mattered was that Poom was now going back home with him.
