What is he doing here?

"You didn't answer me", Chace growled at me and hunter. He looked so deadly and angry that I was suddenly scared of him.

"We......",I trailed off because I didn't know what to say. I have just been caught making out with my teacher. Obviously I did something which is illegal and completely illegal.

"We are both drunk due to which we didn't realize what we were doing", Hunter suddenly piped in and answered Chace.

"Really? Because you don't look like you guys are drunk", Chace asked and raised his eyebrow.

"We were but now we realized what we did", I defended us.

"How could you Sophie? I didn't expect this from you", Chace shook his head in disappointment.

"I am so sorry- wait what? Why should I feel bad if I disappointed you? It's not like your my father or something", I glared at him and folded my hands around my chest while shivering really badly due to the low temperature in the balcony.

Suddenly I felt a jacket around my shoulders and saw that Hunter had took off his jacket and given it to me. I smiled at him and returned it back while folding his hands around my shoulders.

"Are you both a thing?", Chace suddenly asked out of nowhere, pointing at us.

"Yes", I was going to say no but Hunter beat me off in it and said yes. I just stared at him in shock but all he did was give me an assuring squeeze on my shoulders.

"So you mean you both are in a relationship?", Chace asked and I could see him clenching his jaw and knuckles tightly.

"Yes. Do you have a problem with that?", hunter asked and I just looked at him in shock again. He can't act like this otherwise Chace may go and tell about this to everyone.

"I do! Because this girl kissed ME first and now she was kissing YOU!", Chace growled and started taking small steps towards us.

"I know she kissed you but I also know that she is really innocent to make the first move. I trust her. I know you very well Chace, and you my friend, are a player", hunter said and brought me behind him, towering over me and hiding me from Chace, who looked really angry.

"You know what you both have is illegal right?", Chace asked and continued walking towards us.

"Yes we do! So what?", hunter asked confidently and he didn't seem to care at all.

"You also know that I have no reason to keep quiet and not tell everyone about both of you", Chace smirked and he stopped when he reached completely in front of hunter. That's when I noticed that he was a few inches shorter than hunter. But he didn't look less intimidating right now, if compared to hunter.

"Actually, you do have a reason", hunter smirked and rubbed his palms together.

"And what's that?", Chace asked and folded his hands around his well built chest which was visible through his white shirt.

"You know that I am an important part of your past right? If I open my mouth, you will be completely destroyed", hunter explained and I saw Chace's eyes widen, as if he remembered something, like a bad memory.

"You wouldn't", Chace came forward and growled at hunters face.

"Oh I would definitely do", hunter said and he didn't even flinch. By now, they both looked like animals who were ready to pounce at each other any moment.

Before I could process anything else, I heard a punch and saw that Chace just punched Hunter, hard on his face.

Hunter bended sideways due to the pressure of the punch but when he stood straight again, he looked really angry. I then saw that both of their eyes bad turned to slits and had so much anger and hatred for each other that made me flinch in fear.

Before I could to ask hunter if he is alright, hunter launched at Chace in a lightening speed and tackled him on the ground. I couldn't believe hunter had just returned from the hospital. He started punching Chace on his face and Chace then hit hunter on his back with his leg, making hunter move a bit on the side so that Chace could escape.

As Chace escaped, he quickly got up and kicked hunter in his stomach continuously. That's when it hit me that they both were having a brutal fight and I had to stop. I quickly ran towards them but their aura scared me and made me step back again.

"GUYS! PLEASE STOP! SOMEONE PLEASE HELP", I screamed at the top of my lungs but it had no effect on them. It looked like their anger had taken over them completely.

As people started coming, I thanked God that I wasn't alone anymore. I saw Andrea, Savannah and Olivia standing at the door and looking at the scene in front of them with widened eyes. I immediately ran to them for help when they saw me standing the corner, horrified.

"Please help me stop them", I begged them and tried to pull them with me but instead, they wrapped their hands around my shoulders and stopped me from going towards Chace and Hunter.

"Let me go! I have to stop them. Why aren't you guys helping me? Savannah! Please stop your brother", I pleaded but they still didn't let me go as I flinched in their arms to break free.

"No Sophie. We can't do anything. This has happened before and last time, it was worse than this. We have to take the guys helps", they said.

"Then do it!", I screamed and didn't give up trying to escape.

"Ok, but you stay here. We will do something", they said and all three of them started to ask the guys for help but no one was brave enough to go in between a brutal fight.

I ran to a group of guys who were standing and looking at the fight.
"Please stop them guys. Please", I begged them but they only shook their heads in disapproval. I kept on asking the people for help but no one had the bloody guts to help me stop them. That's when I noticed two guys whom I had seen before with Hunter in the cafe and in the PE class. What was their names? Yeah! James and Jayden. I immediately ran towards them and when they noticed me, they suddenly came into their senses because before, they were looking at the fight with emotionless faces, as if this for common for them.

"James, Jayden! Please stop Chace before something big happens", I pleaded them but they gave me an apologetic smile.

"We are sorry Sophie, but when they both are angry, they both are monsters. No one can stop them now except them themselves", James said and I just stared at him in shock and tried to process his words in my mind. I turned towards them and gasped at the scene in front of me. Chace had a busted lip and bruises on his face whereas Hunter also had bruises, but his nose was bleeding. And the worst thing was they, nor did anyone else care.

"I think I will have to do something", I whispered to myself and started taking small steps towards them. No one is ready and I can't let them kill each other. In a way, I felt that this fight was taking place because of me. But I think there is more to it.

As I stopped for a minute in fear looking at the scene in front of me, I didn't know what to do next. Should I just jump in between them so scream at them? What do I do? I asked myself while shaking in fear that do I really have to get in between these beasts to stop them? Will they listen to me?

As I was busy thinking about this, I suddenly heard a vase break and saw that Hunter had hit Chace on his head with a vase. That's when I decided to take this matter in my hands or else, the police will be here the next to investigate a murder.

I quickly ran towards them and when I was going to stop them, Chace suddenly picked another case made of glass and was about to hit Hunter when unfortunately I came in front of the Hunter to cover him.. And the glass vase hit me on my head and broke, instead of Hunter......and it was bad.

For a minute, I just stood there thinking what just happened, but when I felt some liquid running down my forehead, I realized my head was bleeding and that's when pain hit me at the same time. My vision slowly started to get blurry and all I could was black everywhere. All I could hear was Hunter screaming my name and Chace was doing the name but they both were cursing as well.

I slowly dropped on my knees and was about to hit the ground when something just caught my head from hitting the hard floor.

"FUCKING SHIT! WHAT THE HELL DID YOU DO?", I heard Hunter screaming at Chace and footsteps coming closer to me.

"What the hell Chace? You just injured Sophie so bad! She is bleeding a lot. ANDREA! OLIVIA! Call the doctor immediately", I heard Savannah's voice.

"Shit! I am so sorry sophie. That wasn't for you. I am so sorry. That wasn't for you, it was for Hunter", I heard Chace apologizing and I tried to tell him it wasn't his fault but my voice was stuck in my throat. I even tried to raise my hand in the air for him, but I felt completely numb and weak. It was like I could hear them, but I wasn't able to talk nor see them.

"Sophie! Open your eyes! Don't lose your consciousness please", I heard Hunter and he started shaking me but in a matter of seconds, I completely lost whatever connection I had for them. I felt nothing and hear nothing. I just lied there like a dead body.

If I knew this is how my life would end up, I would have at least told my family that I love them. But I think that coming in between fights is not my thing.

The last thing I thought before I fell completely in the world of darkness was that I hope my family stays happy and mom dad, I am coming to you guys......away from this world.

Chace's POV:

I don't know why but it felt kind of nice to meet Sophie after just one day. It seemed like I enjoyed talking and troubling her. That day when she kissed me, I thought she had actual feelings for me and that's why I took her to the abandoned part of our school to
talk to her properly about what she did in the auditorium. I remember she was going to talk about it in the detention we had together but that asshole Hunter came in between.

Remembering him always brings a deadly frown on my face. He knows about my past and that's my weak point. What happened with me in the past is something I never want to remember again. It was a horrible experience and I can't believe I took that way. My parents loved me dearly but when they came to know what I used to do behind their backs, they became distant from me. I remember the day when I decided to leave my past behind, move on and start a new life, that's the exact day my parents got to know about it. They didn't even believe me that I genuinely wanted to move on and leave my bad habits behind. They thought I was acting and so, I never was the good son for them like before.

Anyways, my past is something I hate to talk about and I will kill anyone who talks about it to me because I hate it with my dear life. I went on that path for a reason but I guess that path kept me captive in it. Let's just forget about it.

I have to talk to Sophie today anyhow and clear up with her that what are we? Why did she kiss me and then leave me? Was I a bad kisser for her because I was definitely not one for other girls.
I quickly got dressed in a white shirt and black pants with normal black sports shoes. I chose to go casual as I know I look good in any get up. And also because this party was for my enemy so I wasn't really interested in attending it. But I had to because I will be staying in this house for the next few days and Savannah was behind my life to not skip this party as she had worked hard to organise it along with Sophie and her other two friends, Andrea and Olivia. And because she was a bossy sister, she obviously won.

(This is how I imagine chace to dress up and look).

After I was done completely, I left my room which Mr Jack had shown me earlier before I left for the trip. I had actually gone to Paris to settle something which was left unsolved. My parents had actually sent me to solve a business deal but I also did some personal work which was important to be closed down.

I was going to go to the stairs when I was cornered by someone. On looking up, I was met with the seductive eyes of Veronica looking down at me. She smiled and started running her hands all over my chest and arms while batting her eyelashes at me.

"Where are you going without me darling?", she asked, continuing to run her hands all over me.

"Just going to attend the party downstairs. What are you doing here?", I asked confused because I was sure no one would invite her in this house.

"I just crashes the party to meet you. I got to know you were going to stay here for a few days, so I just thought to come meet you", she said and I pushed her a bit back so that she was standing on a safe distance from me.

"What's wrong baby? Why are you pushing me away?", she asked and tried to come closer to me again but I held my hand up and motioned her to stop.

"We will do this later. Right now I have some important business to take care of", I said and left without hearing her reply.

I went down the stairs and was met with the huge crowd of people who were dancing and having fun. Some girls saw me on the stairs looking around and gave me sexy looks, but my eyes were searching for only one girl.

I searched everywhere till my eyes could see but I couldn't see her. So I decided to ask someone about her. I saw Savannah standing with two girls in the corner and talking to them. I went to her and tapped her shoulder to get her attention.

"Oh! Hi bro", she said as she turned around and hugged me sideways.

"Hi sis, I just wanted to ask where is Sophie?", I asked directly because I was really desperate to clear things up with her as soon as possible.

"Is my brother seriously asking for a girl first time himself", she teased and I just glared at her, although it was true. Every time, girls asked for me and this is the first time I have asked for a girl.

"Shut up and tell me", I snapped and she just laughed harder.

"Fine! But first meet my other two best friends aside from Sophie. This is Andrea", she pointed at the brunette ," and this is Olivia", she pointed at red head.

"Hi", I said and they both have a small smile and a wave in return.

"I saw her going towards the balcony. Maybe you can find her there", she said and I nodded my head as I gave her a hug and left to go upstairs towards the balcony. I rubbed my hands in nervousness and was processing what was I supposed to tell her? Should I just come to the topic directly or beat around the bush? I think I will do with the bushy option.

As I reached the balcony, I took a deep breath and entered it, but the view in front shook me to the edge. It just wasn't a sight I ever expected to see, especially from Sophie. It just swept the floor from under my feet.

There in front of me sat Sophie, kissing hunter. And they looked so deep in it that they didn't even realise someone had entered the balcony. And looking at Sophie kissing some other guy gave me a weird feeling and it felt like my heart was being squeezed and it hurt. I don't know what and why is this happening to me.

Instead of leaving them alone, I clapped my hands and that definitely got their attention. They quickly parted and looked at each other in shock, but all I could see was red.

"So that's what you do with your teacher?", I asked while looking at Sophie and when she realised I saw them, her eyes widened and she turned to look at me, but she didn't answer me.

"You wouldn't", I came forward and growled at this assholes face.

"Oh I would definitely do", hunter said. His words awoke my monster and I was just looking ready to pounce at him. He just pressed the wrong button and now, I couldn't control the rage inside me.

He pissed me off so much that without thinking twice, I punched his ace really hard and heard the soft gasp from Sophie.

As I escaped,I quickly got up and kicked hunter in his stomach continuously. I knew that this was going to lead to a brutal fight because this has happened before.

"GUYS! PLEASE STOP! SOMEONE PLEASE HELP", I heard Sophie screaming at us but it didn't affect us. Right now, we had turned into monsters who were thirsty for each other's blood. No one can stop us now. No one!
Even people started coming into the balcony, no body dared to stop us because they knew they would be harmed if they interfered between us.

We both know to fight like professionals because of our past. We have fought before as well and it was really bad. It had made both of us suffer for days.

I launched a punch at hunters throat to block his airway temporarily and I took this opportunity to tackle him down on the ground. His back was towards me and his front faced the floor. I kept throwing punches on his side because this was his weakness because he had stitches over there which happened in the past. And I knew everything about it. But I was so lost in punching him, I didn't see him picking a glass vase nearby and as he got hold of it, he immediately used all his strength to turn and throw the case at me. The vase didn't break on my head but it kind off caught me off guard due to which I lost my grip on hunter and he escaped. Before he could escape completely, I caught his leg and pulled him back on the ground.

He turned to look at me and kicked me with his leg so that I would let go, and I did because I saw a note eg lass case which I want to attack him with. I left him lying there and before he could stand up, I picked the vase and went to hit him, but it hit something before it could reach hunter. And it was Sophie. Shit!

She came in between us due to which the glass vase broke on her head. For a minute we just stood there looking at each other but then, I saw blood dripping from her forehead. She raised her hand to see and ran her fingers across her head, and when she bought it down to look at it, her eyes widened and that's when pain crossed her face.

She slowly dropped on her knees and was about to hit the ground when I quickly caught her head before it hit hard floor.

"FUCKING SHIT! WHAT THE HELL DID YOU DO?", Hunter screaming at me but I was left speechless. Shit! Sorry Sophie. What have I done?

"What the hell Chace? You just injured Sophie so bad! She is bleeding a lot. ANDREA! OLIVIA! Call the doctor immediately", Savannah screamt at me and came towards Sophie and pulled her head in her lap.

"Shit! I am so sorry sophie. That wasn't for you. I am so sorry. That wasn't for you, it was for Hunter", I apologise and tried to touch her but then hunter came and pushed me on the side so that he could kneel down beside Sophie.

"Sophie! Open your eyes! Don't sleep please", Hunter begged her and he started shaking her and it looked like she was trying to tell us something but couldn't. I ran to her other side and caught her hand which but then I realised that she was now completely limp and unconscious.

After a few minutes which felt like hours, the ambulance arrived and two men came with a stretcher up.
They picked Sophie up and put her on the stretcher. And we all followed them.

They put her in the ambulance and they told her to follow them in a car. And so me, hunter, Savannah and Andrea left in my car and followed the ambulance all the way to the hospital. Olivia, James and Jayden stayed back to wind up the party and they will meet us at the hospital once all work is done at the house.

"This is all you ducking fault. You just hurt Sophie so bad", hunter growled at me as I was driving.

"Shut the fuck up asshole! That was for you but because of you, Sophie got hurt", I replied back.

"Shut the hell up both of you! This is not the time to start this shit. It's time to act mature and wait for Sophie to get alright. This hatred between you both is the reason my best friend in that bloody ambulance, badly injured", Savannah snapped at us.

"Yeah! So keep your mouths closed for Sophie's sake right now", Andrea agreed and it seemed like both of us agreed to keep quiet for Sophie's sake.

The whole ride, we had that anger still present inside us but we kept it where it was. The ambulance came to a halt as it reached the entrance of the hospital and all of us got down and saw the nurses and the doctor shifting Sophie from one stretcher to another and took her inside.

We followed them inside and when I saw Sophie lying on the stretcher completely pale and looking lifeless, with the pillow and sheets filling with her blood, I wanted to kill myself for what I did. Seeing her in so much pain hurt me like hell.

We kept following but then the doctors pushed us back,"You all have to wait here please", they said and left to go inside the ICU.

We just stood there for half an hour when the doctor came out in a hurry and so we caught him.

"Doctor! How is she?", I asked him while standing in front of him.

"I am sorry but we can't tell anything right now. She has had a lot of blood loss and the cut from glass is very deep in her head", he said and I just stood there motionlessly. Nothing won't happen to her. I know she will be fine. I know.

What do you think will happen to Sophie? Is she going to be fine or something will happen? Which will be bad for everyone.
