"I need to talk about something with you", I said to Chace as he turned around, standing up from his chair.

"Oh hey babe, I am so sorry for telling our little secret to everyone", he said with a smirk with no guilt in his eyes.

"Can I talk to you in private please?", I asked once again in a lower voice with calmness.

"Oh come on babe, everyone knows about us now so why do you want to talk to me in private. Let's be public", he pulled me by my waist and started to lean in for a kiss but I pushed him by placing my palms on his chest and pushing him back.

"STAY AWAY FROM ME!", I screamed and this caught everyone's attention.

"Woah! Chill babe", he said raising his hands in surrender and stepping back, leaving me waist.

"Don't you dare call me babe! How am I supposed to chill when people are blaming and accusing me of something I didn't even do?", I argued and he shrugged.

"What do you mean?", he asked in fake confusion, as if he was unaware of what I was talking about.

"Don't act like a child Chace! You know very well what I am talking about", I stood my ground and told him annoyingly.

"Are you talking about our passionate night of pleasure?", he asked as he faked a smile.

"I must tell you guys, she may look innocent here but she is an amazing pleasurable wild cat who will make you enjoy a lot during se-", his sentence was cut off with a loud thump sound and it was made by none other me, because I slapped him hard on his cheek before he could talk more rubbish about me.

I heard many gasps and shocking sounds as well and I saw many shocked faces, but that didn't matter to me. What mattered to me was my self respect and Chace was trying to damage it. And right now, I didn't care about anything but what rubbish he was going to talk about me.

He turned towards me while covering his cheeks where I had just slapped and gave me an expression which could match to a dangerously angry wild animal. If looks could kill, I would have been buried 7 feet under the ground till now.

"How dare you slap me?", he asked with aggression and rage clear in his voice, stepping forward and towering over me, looking in my eyes.

"I only dare to do this because I am  right", I answered back with confidence and looked at him fearlessly but furiously.

"Oh really? Everyone knows that I would never sleep with a girl like you but when you threw yourself at me, I couldn't control myself. After all, I am a guy", he continued and I closed my eyes to calm myself. I opened them again and he looked around the canteen.

"Am I right everyone?", he asked after waiting for a few seconds. Everyone nodded on his question and said yes, especially boys.

"Shut up Chace! I am 100% sure and positive that we didn't do anything on the beach party night", I defended myself as I saw myself losing this battle of MY respect.

"Oh really? How would you remember what happened that night? You were out of your senses. After I saved you from that creepy raper, I took you to my house and you were throwing yourself at me as we reached my bedroom and I was putting you to bed. You said that you wanted to thank me by fulfilling my needs", he said and I looked at him in disbelief. How can a guy do this to a girl? What does he want?

"Why are you lying?", I asked softly as I was losing my control over my tears.

"Come on baby, I am just telling the truth. Otherwise you tell me, what will I get from lying about our relationship to everyone. I have been linked to you in a relationship and that's not good for my reputation, but I don't mind because I like you a lot", he lied again and I gave him a pleading look.

"Please Chace, please don't lie. This will destroy my life and I don't want that to happen", I begged, thinking that maybe he would quit telling this lie.

"What do you mean? I am destroying your life if I like you? If so, you should have thought about this before trapping me into. sleeping with you", he argued as he pointed at me accusingly.

"I didn't do-", before I could finish my sentence, I was roughly pushed by my shoulders but fortunately, strong arms caught me from behind and helped me stable myself. As I saw the person who pushed me, I wasn't surprised abit since it was Veronica. But when I saw my saviors hand, I was totally surprised seeing Noah.(Andreas brother).

"T-thanks n-Noah", I stuttered while thanking him and he smiled back at me, bringing me back to my feet.

"It's alright, are you fine?", he gave me a comforting smile and asked to which I just nodded.

"What's going on here? Why are you guys harassing her?", Noah asked while pulling me closer to him from my shoulders.

"And why do we answer you?", Veronica asked Noah challengingly, raising her eyebrows in question.

"Look Veronica, I want you to stay away from Sophie otherwise-", before Noah could complete his sentence, Chace came in front of Noah in a blink of an eye and stood in front of him.

"Otherwise what?", Chace asked Noah in a very challenging tone.
As I saw clearly now, if I compare Chace to Noah, Noah looked taller and more well built than Chace, but I don't know why, I found Chace more intimidating.

"You stay out of this Chace", Noah said as he lightly pushed Chace a bit on the side.

"If you don't remember, Veronica is with me and you can't talk to her like that, especially when I am around her or not", Chace defended her as Veronica smiled in victory, giving a quick peck Chace's cheek.

"Oh really! So she can push Sophie in front of you whereas I can't even talk to her about not doing something wrong", Noah asked.

"That's our matter and your the one intervening. And why are you so hurt if we are talking to Sophie like this?", Chace asked and pointed at me.

"Because....", Noah hesitated as he didn't have any answer to Chace's question. Even I didn't.

"Because she is his girlfriend", someone said and when we turned around, we saw Andrea coming towards us with Olivia and Savannah. Me and Noah immediately looked at each other and just stared in confusion after  which we both shouted in sync,"WHAT????"

"Oh I am so sorry guys but I had to tell everyone about your secret relationship", Andrea said as she shrugged and gave us an apologetic smile. What the hell is she saying???

"Your secret relationship?", Chace asked in shock, and for a second, I saw jealousy and hurt in his eyes. But why? Maybe I am wrong and it was just my hallucination.

"Yeah, their secret relationship. They have been together for 2 years and that's the reason why Sophie moved here", Andrea continued lying to everyone and my jaw dropped at her lie. I swear I am going to kill her for this, and I think Noah is with me right now.

"Oh....", that's all Chace said before he looked at me. After a few seconds of staring at me, he returned to his hateful look.

"You never told me about her Noah", Chace said to Noah and that sentence shocked me. As I saw Andrea, I saw a look of realisation on her face, but why?

"Oh that...., actually Sophie had told me not to tell anyone about us", Noah lied as well and agreed with his sister.

"YES!", I screamed a little too excitedly to support Noah. I am not too good and smooth while telling lies.

"Not even your best friend?", Chace said and I almost choked as I heard his words. WHAT? Best friend?

"You lost that title long ago when you became an asshole", Noah said and I saw hurt in Chace's eyes which didn't go unnoticed by Noah because his eyes widened when he realized what he just said. The hurtful expression on Chace's face was still there until it was hidden when Veronica came and squeezed his shoulder. 

For a moment I stood there trying to process their words. Chace then turned towards his group and Veronica.

"Let's leave guys", he said and I released a breath of relief.

"But-", Veronica tried to protest but Chace stopped her.

"Let's. Leave. Right. Now.", he said a little angrier now, emphasizing on each of his words.

"Chace I -", before Noah could continue, Chace turned around and raised his hand to stop Noah from saying any further.

"Don't Noah, just don't", and with these words said, he turned around and left the canteen.

What's up with them? I assume they have a past together in which they used to be best friends. No shit, Sherlock!

"Uh- Noah?", I called him and tapped his shoulder lightly to get his attention. But when he turned, his eyes were red, as if he was going to cry any moment.

"Thanks for the help, I-", I tried to thank him but he cut me off.

"I think I need to go", Noah said and within seconds, he was outside the canteen. I turned towards Andrea and Olivia and saw that Savannah wasn't with them. They smiled and came to stand in front of me.

"Are you alright?", they asked with concern and I nodded.

"Where's Savannah?", I asked after a few minutes of standing with them in silence.

"She went behind Chace to talk about something", Andrea answered my question and I nodded my head.

"And she was behaving weirdly after Andrea lied to Chace about you and Noah", Olivia said with confusion.

"Oh that! Actually she was feeling bad", Andrea said immediately, but it seemed as if she was hiding something.

"Oh ok, anyways, I think I need to rest because of today's events", I said and I was getting depressed every minute due to the stares and comments I was still getting.

As I was about to leave, Savannah entered the canteen and saw me. She started jogging and came to me in a hurry.

"Sophie, I need to talk to you", she said, dragging me out of the canteen by my arm while I tried to struggle to keep up with her.

After walking for sometime, we stopped in a very terrifying and empty area.

"Listen sophie, I am genuinely sorry for my brother's actions", she apologised to me.

"It's fine Savannah. But can I at least know the reason to why you dragged me here?", I asked in confusion and pointed to our empty surroundings.

"Actually, he was angry because of.... You complaining to dad ...about him", she said and my mouth hanged open in shock in realization.

"Oh.....", is all I managed to say after what I just heard from her right now.

"Listen Sophie, I told him that you were actually regretting your actions last night and...", she said but trailed off in between, leaving her sentence incomplete.

"And?", I asked her to continue.

"I also told him about your plan of giving him your pocket money and apologising to him", she continued.

"He didn't say anything, but believe me, I could see guilt in his eyes and on his face", she defended him and I looked down at my hands, not knowing if I should believe what she saw what she said she saw.

"Ok", is all I managed to say since I was out of words.

"So please give him a chance because trust me, he has been through a lot and I don't want him in more trouble, after all, I am his sister", she said and I just smiled at her.

"Fine, for you I will", I said and smiled assuringly at her. She stepped forward slowly and suddenly threw her arms over my neck, giving me a tight hug.

"Thank you thank you thank you", she said and hugged me tighter. In return, I hugged her back.

"Anyways, I need to go to my classes now so see you later", she said and left after we bid our goodbyes, leaving me to look at her disappearing back.

So much in one day, I don't know what is going to happen during my whole stay in this town.
