Chapter 7
Y/N's POV
I woke up, my room slightly colder than usual, but that made sense, since it was nearing winter. The sun shown through my parted curtains, and the wind blew through my open window, allowing the smell of the city to fill my room.
I laid in bed, pondering on what happened yesterday, and I couldn't help but allow a childish grin to grow on my face. All my thoughts of my past, seemed to vanish from me completely me. I was left with only happy thoughts, leaving me with rosy cheeks and a child-like grin.
"Good morning!" Emily sang, as she burst through my door.
She was already dressed and ready, even though it was only 6:30 in the morning.
"Good morning." I sighed.
"Do you have class today?" She asked.
Our school days alternated. I don't know why, but they did.
"What day is it today?" I asked.
"Wednesday." She replied.
"Nope! Do you have class?" I asked her.
"Nope! Yay! We both don't have class today! What're we going to do on our day off?" She cheered.
"Netflix, eat, and internet surf." I giggled.
"As much as I'd love to, we could drive up to Santa Monica pier. We haven't been there in years!" She over exaggerated.
"We went 3 months ago." I laughed.
"Oh whatever! We should go, and invite the boys!" She giggled.
"You can go ask, while I procrastinate life." I laughed.
"Oh whatever, Mrs. Emo. I'll go ask, you do whatever you're gonna do." She said as she laughed, leaving the room.
I was left in the emptiness and silence of my room. I knew that my plans of doing nothing all day weren't ever going to happen, so I pulled myself out of bed and to my closet.
Today's high was only 69, so I decided on: a black flannel, dark blue skinny jeans, and my leather converse. I straightened my hair, did some light make up, and headed to the kitchen.
I grabbed an apple from the basket on our table, and ate it silently. The lights were off, but the room was illuminated by the bright yellow glow of the sun.
As I finished my apple, Emily emerged from the front door with Ethan and Grayson behind her. I threw my apple in trash bin and walked over to greet them.
"Santa Monica?" Grayson asked.
"Santa Monica!" I replied, a slight bit cheerfully.
"Hey." Ethan said walking over, embracing me in his arms.
"Hey." I giggled, wrapping my arms around him.
"Let's go?" Emily asked.
"Let's!" Grayson replied.
We all walked out the apartment, and to the sidewalk where our Uber sat waiting for us. Ethan walked along side of me, with his arm gently rested around my waist.
We hopped in the car, Grayson riding in the front seat, Ethan on my right, Emily on my left, and I in the middle.
I laid my head on Ethan's shoulder, his head laid on mine. I don't know why I was so comfortable with this, I'm usually not comfortable with physical contact, especially flirty or romantically.
We all laughed, danced, and sang the entire car ride. I'm sure our Uber was tired of us, and wanted us to leave immediately.
About half way through our car ride, Ethan smoothly slid his hand into mine, intertwining our fingers. I just looked up and smiled at him and he down at me.
"The ship is real!" Emily laughed.
Ethan and I just rolled our eyes, but laughed.
As our car ride came to an end, I began to see the view of the semi-crowded pier. I tensed up at the sight of all the people.
Ethan didn't know about my anxiety and claustrophobia yet, so today was going to be an interesting experience. We all hopped out of the car, and made our way along the crowded pier, brushing past so many bodies.
"So, what should we ride first?" Grayson asked.
