*Satish Pov*

"Did you find out?" I asked the moment my CEO called me when I was waiting for David to finish his work and return so that we can return to his hotel room to discuss about his next project.

He was already grumpy when Ms. Palak called him up saying not to come back to her place today as she will be out of town. So, he has to stay back in Mumbai for this weekend and he is not at all cool about it.

"They don't want him to be the face of their company like that right now. So, we have to continue with the new project. I don't know why did he rejected it in the first place." She complained while giving me the result which he and I already realized the moment she suggested it.

"This CEO is not at all like me and just closed the conversation with a single word. Now, he doesn't have any chance to reject this project." She added while I sighed.

"I don't this it will be possible. He has two reasons not to be out of the country. Why don't you ask them to change the location of shooting?" I offered, after which she stayed silent for a few seconds.

"I can understand one reason where he has to work in this company and not take such a long leave this soon, but about the other reason I really hope he knows what he is doing." she stated after accepted to have a word with the car brand for whom he is a brand ambassador and he need to shoot a new advertisement after a few days.

"Even I don't know what are his plans. Let's just wait for him." Saying that I hung up when I saw him walking towards the car with the complete grumpy look.

"What happened? You look worse than in the morning." I asked him frowning.

"Did you just reached?" he asked, gesturing me to get inside the car after opening the passenger seat.

"It's been half an hour." I replied, checking the time.

"I don't know why do you still want to work for me. It will cause nothing but trouble for you." He commented while checking his phone as I started driving.

"Don't change the topic." I turned to see him sighing before entering an address for GPS.

"Let's go to this place first." He said and I gave a frown but followed his order.

"I just hate him." He suddenly stated hitting the dashboard when we reached the place.

"Woah! What actually happened?" I asked him, frowning while checking the dashboard.

"He ordered me to go to this conference and he didn't give me any way out by using the CEO card to blackmail me." He finally replied.

"And you accepted to come just like that?" I asked, raising my eyebrow when I clearly remember him having the upper hand in this situation as he has his own card.

"No! I told him that if not for him then I wouldn't be staying in that company in the first place. So, if he acts like this, I can leave anytime." He replied making me chuckle.

"He used Mother card after I showed my own card." He added, sighing and I chuckled hearing that.

"Your brother is really ruthless. Just now our CEO complained about his behavior while rejecting you to be the face of his company and the next moment he is forcing you to this place." I shook my head while he just shook his head.

"I am not going out of the country, no matter what." He stated and I gave him a nod before letting him know my suggestion after which he calmed down a little.

"I still can't believe that you easily accepted to come here." I mumbled shaking my head.

"Well, it is a conference on physiotherapy and I can understand her work more through this." He explained and I gave him a disbelief look.

"So, it's not a CEO or Mother card that worked, but a Girlfriend Card? Now, I really feel sorry for your brother. You don't care about your family at all." I grumbled while he just shrugged.

"I can't meet her this weekend and this is the next best thing." Saying that he got out of the car while I shook my head before leaving to park his car and followed him inside to check out more about her work too.

"Wait! It's the conference led by Dr. Rohit. Isn't that his name?" he talked to himself frowning.

"There are many Dr. Rohit's in this city itself. Let's just go now. The conference already started." Saying that I pushed him forward and it is a good thing that there were seats at the back for us to occupy without disturbing the conference.

We both sat still when we found that it is not a name coincidence, but the person coincidence and not just that, but the presence of another person with Dr. Rohit.

"Didn't she tell you?" I asked in a whisper and he shook his head.

If we meet up with her now then we have to act like an employer and the employee again instead of just friends who turned into employer and employee. I don't know why, but he asked me to be respectful towards him whenever we are in her presence.

I am more than happy to do that because it is professional, but he was the one who made me not behave in that way from the beginning. I still don't know what was his reason at all.

"What do you think about this, Mr. David?" I asked, turning towards him while he gave me a confused look.

"I should start acting like this from now on, right?" I pointed out but he shook his head.

"No need to do that all anymore. That was like way before... before she became my girlfriend." Saying that he continued to stare at her even when she stood aside while her senior continued the conference and his eyes just followed her even while she was helping in between during the speech.

"Still, if I suddenly act normal then you have explained to her why I acted like a normal manager before." I pointed out and he just nodded without giving me any attention.

Ms. Ruksana must be here and see his expression by which she can get the answer to her own questions she asked earlier. He ducked down when the conference finished as everyone started leaving, but she was not among the people who left the room using the stairs.

"Where is she?" he asked, looking around and I just rolled my eyes.

He should be the one to know that more than me when he practically had his eyes glued to her. I gestured him to walk out of the hall when everyone left after making him wear the mask.

"Why don't we ask him?" I asked, gesturing Dr. Rohit who is walking towards the waiting area in the lobby of this hotel.

"I don't want to but I don't want to call her too. I will just surprise her." Saying that he followed behind the doctor and I followed him.

However, he suddenly stopped making me pause too. I glanced over his shoulder to see Dr. Rohit meeting some middle aged man in a suit and I immediately frowned realizing who is that.

"Let's go!" Saying that he continued to walk and sat in the seating behind the seat of Dr. Rohit where he is chatting up with that man.

I sat beside David casually and we didn't make a small sound to hear their conversation and I can sense how tense David is right now.

"She is really not here?" that man asked and we both know whom is he talking about.

"She left the moment conference finished from back door saying she has to be somewhere else." Dr. Rohit answered.

"It would be too much of wishful thinking if I have a thought that she left from this place to go to our home to meet me, right?" he laughed saying this.

"You are her father and it is not wrong to think that way." Dr. Rohit commented.

"You are right! She is too soft hearted to stop caring for us. You know about the recent problem we had to encounter? She was really worried about both her brother and me. But it is a good thing that she stayed away from this place. You are taking good care of her, right?" he continued while we both stilled hearing the conversation.

"Of course! I am even trying to make her shift to Mumbai, but she was against it. But recently she looks in favor to that idea." He explained and I glanced at David in shock while he just gave me a nod.

"It is her wish whether to come here or not. By the way I called you up to talk about another matter. I am really happy with the way you took care of her from the time she was in the college with you and even later. I feel like you will be a good partner for her. Do you have the same thought regarding her?" I was about to make a sound, hearing that while David shifted to stand up but I held his hand shaking my head.

"I didn't do all this just because you asked, Mr. Girish Anand. I genuinely like her and if she feels the same then I am ready to take a next step and if not I am fine with just being a senior to her. We shouldn't be discussing all this without asking her first." Dr. Rohit stated and I smiled shaking my head.

He seems to be a really good person and this is much worse scenario as this could be a competition for David and with the way he fisted his hands, I need to repeat my thought to him.

"All I want is for her to never know that you ever approached me and it is better if we don't meet like this again. I am thankful for your financial help during my studies and I need to pay a little more to end that, but let's just forget about everything else." Saying that he stood up and walked away.

We both stayed like that without moving until the next person left before standing up. I know I shouldn't say anything right now and I wasn't wishing to make him burst out right here with many people around us and we can't forget the fact that he is a celebrity.

When we finally reached the hotel he is staying, I turned off the engine and waited for him to say something, but he sat without uttering a single word which is scarier than his normal burst out.

"Why this had to happen today? You just shifted from grump to grumper by evening after leaving the company and now to grumpier because of Dr. Rohit." I shook my head and finally had his attention.

"What are you even saying? Grump grumper and grumpier? Have you gone mad?" he asked, frowning and I just chuckled.

"You are the who has gone crazy? We are sitting in the parking lot for the past ten minutes and you didn't even know?" I asked raising my eyebrow.

"I am just thinking where did she go? What if she really went to her home?" he asked me frowning.

"What's wrong in that? It's her home!" I pointed out and he just grunted before getting out the car before walking towards the elevator and I followed him.

And for the second time in a single day, he stopped abruptly making me stop. I glanced over his shoulder only to chuckle seeing the person standing near the private elevator used for VIP's.

"You are finally here? My legs are paining after standing for so long and waiting for you here. I didn't want to call you to keep my surprise hidden. Oh wait! Surprise!" she added the last word, waving her hands with a smile.

"Did you go into shock by my surprise? And how are you, Satish? It's been long since we met. I am glad you both made up." She added smiling at me.

"Looks like he is broken right now. Why don't you help him walk and get into his room?" I asked passing the extra card to his room I have with me.

"Sure!" she said, walking towards us and took hold of his hand while I slowly made myself disappear from their site and left the place to go to my home and the rest not feeling worried about him at all after seeing her.

*Palak Pov*

"You are really broken, aren't you?" I asked when he just followed me into the elevator as I started tugging his hand without uttering a single word.

He is just staring at me and I shook my head before checking on which floor we are right now and waiting for us reach the seventh floor where he is staying.

"I remembered that you said about this private elevator in one of our conversations and so I decided to stay here. As far as I know you didn't have any work other than the company but I remember you saying that you generally go to your agency on Friday's. I was really hoping you were still not at home and thought of calling Satish if you hadn't returned after ten minutes. I mean what if you changed your schedule and already returned where I missed you." I shook my head explaining all the doubts he is not expressing but he is still just staring at me.

Oh god! I never thought I would talk this much but what can I do other than talk when I am this excited to surprise him like this. This is the first time in my life to ever surprise someone and that said person is just standing there not letting me know whether he likes it or not.

"Okay! You need to talk." I mumbled when the doors opened.

I shook my head and took a step still holding his hand to drag him towards his room, but suddenly he is the one dragging me forward and I nearly slipped my bag in the process.

"Woah! Don't rush like that." I called after him, but he just continued and he plucked the card out of my hand without taking out his card before swiping it to unlock the door.

Is he angry or what? I thought, stepping inside and tried to take a peak at the décor already realizing this is not a normal room for sure.

All the thoughts left the moment he pressed me back to the door and his lips started devouring mine without giving me a pause. I took a few moments to respond still feeling shock because of the sudden kiss.

He... he never kissed me in this way like... like with such force and it feels weird, but at the same time not so weird which caused me to hold him in return and let go of the thoughts searching for the reason behind all this.

"I missed you!" I don't know why, but I stopped breathing, hearing those simple words, but at the same time the emotion with which he expressed those.

"I missed you too. And you finally got your voice back." I commented, smiling while he gave a small smile back before pulling me towards another door before opening it.

"I thought I would go mad during this weekend when you told me not to come to your place. I was already waiting for Friday from last Monday and you dropped that bomb." He shook his head, still pulling me with him and pushed me over the bed.

"Uhmm... well, I felt bad that it is always you who is travelling to my place after getting stressed from company work and even the agency work. So, I took leave for this weekend to give you some rest." I explained while at the same time trying to shift away from him, but he didn't give me a chance before trapping me with his body to the bed.

"I don't mind all the travelling." He whispered caressing my cheek.

"But I mind it. I can't be selfish in a relationship." I mumbled, feeling shivers with the way he is looking at me.

"But I am being selfish with everything, though." He pointed out and before I can ask what he meant, he pressed his lips to mine stopping all the words.

I kissed him back, circling my hands around his neck and paused when I felt his hand caressing my waist moving under the shirt.

"David!" I whispered, holding his hand to stop it from moving.

"Hmm..." he made a sound pestering kisses along my neck and shifted to my collarbone but I pushed his head away whispering his name again.

"Stop it!" I added and he finally paused before laying his head down on my shoulder while controlling his breathing and I am doing the same.

"I am sorry about that. I suddenly lost it and... I just wanted you to be mine." He whispered shifting away to lay beside me.

"I am already your girlfriend." I pointed out, but he didn't say anything after that.

"Are you hungry? Do you want to go somewhere or shall we order?" he asked, getting down from the bed and I immediately moved to hold his hand.

"Are you like... like mad at me?" I asked him frowning.

"No! Why would I be mad at you? It was I, who just lost my senses." He replied shaking his head.

"Even I lose them when I am around you but... I... I am not ready." I mumbled, looking away from my face and he immediately placed his other hand to turn my head.

"You are completely right to think like that. I was really acting like a crazy person just that moment. All I am thinking is how we will be able to stay together this weekend without me attacking you again." He explained smiling but I shook my head.

"We stayed together at a place all this time. And my bed is smaller than this." I pointed out, but he shook his head.

"I have become crazy because of you." He whispered, pressing a kiss to my forehead and left the room saying he will get my bag and then order something for us.

I want to tell him that even I am crazy about him, but after everything that happened to Di, I am scared to take such step no matter what. The day I don't feel scared and not get the matter related to Di in my head, then maybe... who knows.

"I don't want to go." I mumbled hugging him tightly and he hugged me back chuckling.

"Even I don't want you to go. It will be really late by the time you reach there. I will come with you." He mumbled, making me smile.

"I will be fine. And you will have to go to work tomorrow. I will see you again this weekend if everything goes well." I said, remembering his new CF where he may have to go out of the country if their discussion doesn't go well.

"I will just shift to this place." I added not hiding behind any other hints I tried to give him during this whole weekend.

I glanced up when he stayed silent and seeing my expression he smiled, saying, "I like staying with you at that quiet place. Don't rush your career matters like this."

"Okay!" I whispered nodding and shifted to get my bag from the floor, but he already moved to hold it.

I don't know how to feel about his reply at all. One side it is nothing but his genuine concern for me, but on the other side I am disappointed too.

I can't blame him because he doesn't know how hard this decision was to shift to Mumbai. He doesn't know how I prayed with my everything to never enter this city ever again, but here I am planning to even settle.

"Let's go!" I mumbled, walking towards the door, but paused when he took hold of my hand.

"We will drop you at the station." He said following me, but didn't let go of my hand. I already told him that I will take a cab, but he is stubborn in his own way.

When we left the hotel with Satish driving us to the station, I glanced outside to look at the passing streets and glanced at him when he tapped my hand.

"Why are you suddenly silent? Is it because of me?" he asked frowning.

"No! This was the first time I ever did something to surprise others because of which I was really excited and now I am just thinking about all the work I had to do for missing it during this weekend." I explained but he continued to frown.

"Don't worry! I am not fond of the idea to shift here unless the reason is you." I added and we both immediately heard Satish coughing.

"Sorry! I never heard someone saying such sweet things to him. So, I couldn't help myself." He shrugged from his seat.

I leaned forward to whisper, "Take down notes so that you can say the same sweet stuff to your girlfriend when you finally manage to get one."

"That was harsh." David mumbled, but chuckled, seeing the shock expression on Satish.

"Don't worry! I like to tease him from the day you sent him to drop me to my home." I said shrugging while Satish just grumbled.

"Grump grumper and grumpier, Satish." David teased him making me frown.

"What was that?" I asked him, frowning, but he just shook his head smiling.

"Until when you will stay at this hotel? Will it still be disturbing your family if you stay at home?" I asked, turning to face him after a few minutes.

"It's just better if I stay here." He replied and I glanced outside to see we are stopping near the entrance and it is time for my train to be here too.

"He just doesn't want to see the person that is giving him a tough time at the company even at his house. His brother is not a simple matter you know." Satish suddenly said and I stared at him in shock before glancing at David not understanding that sentence but he is glaring at Satish.

"Sorry! I... I think I slipped my tongue." He whispered, getting out of the car along with the bag we placed in the passenger seat.

We both too got down and started walking inside where we can hear the announcement about the train I need to catch.

"What does he mean, David?" I asked, stopping in the middle and he sighed.

"The CEO of the company where I am working is my brother." He replied glancing at my face.

"Why... why didn't you tell me earlier?" I asked him frowning.

"You will miss the train. We will talk this weekend about this." He replied, giving me a smile, but I just frowned at him.

I took a deep breath before giving him a nod realizing this is not the time to make a scene about this. And it's not like I talked to him about my family too, but somehow it doesn't feel good.

"I will be going then. Let's meet when you come to my place." Saying that I started walking towards the train that just arrived after taking my bag from Satish who is looking everywhere except my face with a guilty look.

"You need not feel guilty about this and I will tell him to not give you a hard time." I whispered to him before saying the same to David and got inside the train.

After waving at them, I started walking towards my seat and the train too moved along with all the thoughts that presented themselves because of many incidents this weekend.

Within a few days, he said he will talk about this matter and it is better if I don't ponder much. With that thought, I spent my journey, but who would have thought he had to leave the country to go for that shoot and I wouldn't be able to see him for not just this weekend but for a whole month.

hey everyone! Okay the first thing is i recently decided to use my instagram @neetha.sai and the main purpose would be for stories... if possible plz so follow it because none of my friends actually read my stories or any stories... so with no audience there will be no fun... So, if possible just follow it and i wish to discuss about the stories and have some polls regarding them if the situation where we can do that arises... hope it happens... :)

and the second thing is again sry for late update... i am really testing all your patience with these late updates but i try to keep myself in check with at least a update a week...

and the third thing is some hell is going to crash all this sweetness... waiting for it???
