Leaves are falling everywhere nowadays. Their bright colors fading from bright hues of orange and red to crumbly colors of brown as they wither and curl up on the sidewalk.
Tis the season of seasonal depression.
This morning I was woken from my sleep by the sound of my phone. My best friend had texted me and shared the news.
My heart is aching. In the famous words of Jackson Wang, its like a bullet to the heart.
Its hard to breathe. I gasp for air continuously, yet my lungs refuse to fill. My cheeks are puffy from the constant stream of tears that has only now dried up. A few straight hours of sobbing will do that to you...
The light from my phone screen as I stare down at my lock screen photo of you, is the only source of light in the room.
"I would do anything to bring you back..." I whispered, my eyes slowly closing.
The moment I closed my eyes after muttering those words, I suddenly felt a strong gust of wind. It blew past my body, whipping through my hair like a tornado. I squeezes my eyes shut as it blew into my face. There was no way it was a breeze from outside, all of the windows in my room were tightly shut, and so was my door.
I knew something strange was going on when I opened my eyes again...and I was outside, standing somewhere I had never seen before...
I turned around, analyzing my surroundings. "What the-"
Towering behind me was a sleek, black building with a name I would recognize anywhere.
