Full description

Ainsley, Maddelynn and Aalyiah have been friends since kindergarten (they met by chance at a fellow schoolmate's birthday party). They've always stuck by each other's sides like leeches and, although they've had their bad days, they've always found their way back to each other.

Julie and Nana came in to the picture in 9th grade when they came out as the first lesbian/bi couple in the whole school. They're a mischievous pair, but, as soon as they defended Ainsley against the awful Mr. Copper, the three already best friends plus the new couple would make a great group.

Mitzi is Ainsley's older half-sister. For some reason that Ainsley doesn't understand, she's always hated her and humiliated her any way she could as she's envious of everything Ainsley gets: a loving mother, a father who loves and understands her (he's also Mitzis dad but he doesn't treat her the same as Ainsley after his wife aka Mitzi's mom left), and now Justin.

Now, it's all about all of them facing all the issues of their seemingly complicated lives.
