Chapter Six: Riding Along

Author's Note:

First off just let me say!!!! AHHHHHH! I love this trailer! It's one of my favorites yet, and has sparked so much inspiration from the get go. I originally asked someone about making it many months ago, but it was a no go and nothing was certain. I decided to make it myself, and built on the story in the process. So here is the trailer... then you can read this next chapter!!

ALSO!!!
Make sure that you watch the video to the very very end!!! :D

Susanna blinked her eyes open, the bright morning sunlight momentarily blinding her. "Where am I?", she asked sleepily.

"We are nearing Nashville, now." A nice male voice, said from beside her. In the driver seat of the convertible she was riding in. Wind blowing her hair. She looked down at herself. Wedding gown.... oh.... everything came flooding back to her.

This guy that was her heroic rescuer was Jed Smith, he lived in Nashville, TN, and was a Christian, like Susanna. He was handsome, rugged, and very nice. She might have to admit she could become smitten with him. Was that even the right thought to be thinking since she had just ran away from her wedding only last night?

She shook her head. A new thought pushed it's way to the surface. "Where will I live?"

"With my family? You and Felicity would get along great!" Jed offered, flashing her a nice smile, meanwhile some how still managing to keep his eyes on the road.

Susanna frowned, despite herself. Of course, he was married, what was she thinking. "I'm sure your wife wouldn't want me imposing."

Jed let out a deep, resonating laugh. "Wife? Goodness, no. Felicity is my baby sis. Though don't tell her I called her that, it really steams her." He took another turn, passing over a breath-taking bridge with an amazing view of water on either side. "She's a new 18 year old, just turned that last week. Oi, she is a handful. But we share a house and it makes the rent a lot easier. Her roommate just moved out, last week. So she has been on the lookout for a new one."

"Is.... that.... would that be okay?" Susanna said with her face heating up.

"I know, I wouldn't mind." Jed pulled off the road in front of a two story house, and was able to look at Susanna fully now. Her face seemed to get even warmer, if that were possible.

"Maybe this is God's will." Susanna murmured.

All further conversation, was disrupted as a cheery young woman came running out of the house waving a paper in her hand. That would have to be Felicity, the sister of this charming man named Jed Smith.
