Mum's grave
Genevieve's pov
I closed my locker ready to go home. On the way out I saw some basics. I was always confused why they all wanted to be the same, isn't it a good thing to be different? *sigh* they will learn some day.
I got home before I could think. I dropped my bag on the ground, trying to digest all the events and stuff that was going on in school. My stomach started to growl and twist.
After dinner, I went up the stairs but stopped halfway. "Today is the 18 of October.... it's my mother's birthday"
I sighed heavily and closed my eyes. "I want to go see her" I proceeded to go upstairs, I cancel all work. I packed a bag.
I slowly made my way down. I pulled out my key's to the back door...
When I arrived at the front of the graveyard I stepped through, focusing on the beauty of the cold wind on my face and the sound of the leaves rustling and dancing. I tiptoed through, I found my mothers and fathers grave.
I heard a 'meow' and I jumped pulling out my Swiss Army knife. I turned around to see it was the cat, Winter.
"Winter! You scared me!" I whispered trying not to wake or annoy the dead. I put away the knife. "did you follow me here? It's late at night" all I received was a meow.
I took off my bag and unzipped it, pulling out three fake roses that were a dark shade of red. "They are fake because they would last forever and mum can enjoy them more," I told Winter the cat. I put the roses on mums grave. I looked over at dad's grave with sadness in my eye's.
I laid down on mum's grave, imagining mum hugging me. My eyes slowly dropped and soon I was asleep...
