Kira's POV.

I woke up to somebody caressing my hair.
I forced my eyes open and saw mom.
"Wh...?"
"Shhh" she said; forcing my head back down to my nice soft pillows.
Then everything rushed back to me.

My dance teacher keeping me after class, finally walking to Curt's, being stopped by these bullies from school, them trying to beat me up, me fighting back, getting pinned to the wall, head butting the leader and making a run for it grabbing my bag but losing my phone, climbing up Our tree and waiting for them to give up looking for me, running to Curt's house under the rain nearly fainting and knocking on the door before passing out.

I bolted up, ignoring the pounding in my head.
"Where's Curt!?"
"He's at school hun. You'll see him later." My mom assured.

Writer's POV.

Curt received a text from Kira's mom as soon as he got out of school after collecting Kira's homework from her teachers.

Kira's up.
She immediately asked where you were.
Come as soon as you can before she goes out on her own to get you.

"Kira!" Curt exclaimed before dashing to her house, pushing and elbowing people aside till he reached her house and barged in the door, rushing up the stairs to her room before knocking on the door.
"Open!"
Curt opened the door.
"Kira!" He exclaimed cheerfully as he quickly ran over to hug her but stopped when she grunted in pain.
"Who did this to you?" He demanded.
"Some bullies I think go to our same school, but I'm not sure."
Curt sighed as he sat on Kira's bed.
"How'd they look like?"
"It was dark out and raining; plus my vision was a bit blurry, especially after head butting the leader"
Curt smirked, he was happy that Kira managed to stand her own ground.
But he wished that he had gone out looking for her.

Curt's POV.

My smirk vanished almost immediately "I should have gone out looking for you when you didn't answer my calls."

Kira frowned "Curt, it's not you're fault. Oh! I've got a surprise for you! Close your eyes!"
How was she so happy in this condition?
Right... No school.
I closed my eyes.

"Aaaand... Look!"
I looked; Kira was holding up her laptop.
Showing me a news clip that...
"No way!" I exclaimed.
"Yup! The teacher held me after class to give me this opportunity! But I refuse to go if you don't come with me!"
"Kira, this is amazing!"
"So... You in or out?"
"In!"
