Kira's POV.

"Ok, so what's this red code?" I asked as I finished climbing up the tree and reached Curt.
"Usually it's the girl that says this, but... Our friendships in danger."
I raised an eyebrow, joining him on our branch.
"What do you mean?"
"We only have two classes together. What's next? No more Friday performance?"
Our Friday performance was when my parents and his met together under our tree that was infront of the old skating rink; to see what me and Curt had put up for a show.
That's also how we got our paychecks.
They graded us from zero to ten and the grade was how much money we got each.
"Do you want to practice now?"
"That's not the point! You're my best friend, so if we can't have all classes together anymore, then we need something else to do together as a replacement!"
"Woah.
Curt...
We already spend the morning together, go to school together, spend breaks together, go home together and after two hours, go out together unless it's raining and we video chat till we fall asleep. You can't get closer than that!"
Oh no.
Another smirk.
The smirk that signalizes a new tradition.
Why does he have to be so darn sticky!
I groaned "shoot"
He smiled "New tradition! We do our homework together! One day my house, one day yours and so on.
And if it rains, sleepover!"
I stared.
No.
Nightmare.
A teenage boy sleeping at my house.
Boy teens have got couties and they're hormones are full out so that also means smelly sweaty armpits and feet!
I was about to say a fullout and direct no till I saw Curt's hopeful face with those big brown puppyeyes of his.
Ugh, I couldn't say no to those eyes and he knew it!
"Fine, but we need our parents permi-"
"Already solved!" He exclaimed cheerfully.
"I also called you're parents and they agreed saying that they know I'm completely trustworthy and a good example for you to follow!"
I scoffed at this but said nothing.
"Well..." Curt pressed.
"Fine" I gave in with a sigh.
We quickly did the recital that would make this new tradition official.
We spat on eachother's hands an shook them saying "This is our tradition. Tradition number seven"
"There! Now it's official!" Curt beamed.
"We start today!" And he climbed down after putting his backpack back on.
So that's what his backpack was for...
