Chapter Sixty One

For the next few weeks we stayed at the golf course. He trained me every single day for hours on end in the sun. I can't say it was easy because it wasn't. I felt like my body was weak, uncoordinated and like I couldn't get the techniques he was teaching me. It was frustrating, annoying, and just made me angry every time my body slams on the ground when I wasn't able to avoid his attack.

He was trying to be encouraging, I knew he was. But damn it did it hurt my pride that he kept getting the best of me every single day. To think I ever thought I could beat his ass back in the days. I would have got my ass handled and plain embarrassed if we had ever taken it that far.

It was a good thing I loved him so much.

The thought that still makes me hitch my breath thinking about. I couldn't say the words though. I was afraid too. It was just so unnatural for me to say, especially to him. Besides, he hasn't bothered to say them so maybe he doesn't feel that strongly about me as I do with him. All the more reason to keep it to myself.

But even though it wasn't something I was comfortable with him knowing, that didn't stop us from taking advantage of each other every single night before we pass out from exhaustion. It was like our hormonal bodies couldn't get enough. Especially when we had the slight freedom to be a little careless being secluded in the clubhouse.

I've noticed his favorite position seemed to be me riding on top of him. Can't say I didn't like it, watching his face come undone as I did my magic was addicting. It wasn't like I did all the work either. When he gets a little too excited he takes complete control and hits that amazing spot within me where I'm seeing stars.

And I've also discovered his least favorite was the doggy style. Even though the angle felt great, he didn't like the fact that he was staring at the back of my head, which is why most times he pulls me up flat against him, takes a hold of my cock, stroking, and turns my head to kiss the daylights out of me all the while still thrusting like a madman.

It was the most sex I've ever had with anyone combined. And we were learning new things together that not even I have done. Which made it even more special between us. Between gathering food from the café, walking the grounds, and practicing Jiu Jitsu, then preparing our dinner before the sun went down, and full on sex, we didn't have enough room for anything else.

It was shy of an entire month when we faced with a dilemma.

I stared into the walk in pantry realizing our problem. Zared stood next to me, seeing the issue as well.

"We don't have enough food to last another day." He states the obvious.

We knew we were running low, but neither of us wanted to face with the fact that we would soon have to go back out there searching for necessities when we basically had everything right here. Running water was still working in the city. So showers, drinking water, and anything else we needed it for was ours for the taking for however long. We were surrounded by trees since we were on the golf course and took what we needed for the fireplace, so we had heat throughout the night.

Clothes were washed in the river and hung out to dry on a line we created ourselves. Soap, shampoo, and other necessities were provided and more than enough when we discovered the storage room. Over the weeks we were worried about the fire smoke from the chimney, and we had been on guard for the longest time until Zared and I decided to see just how far we had to be to check the distance you could see, only to discover that the trees completely block it from not even fifteen away off the property.

So we knew no one could see it. And with the boarded up windows, you couldn't see the light from the glow of the fire from outside and not once have we ever heard the sounds of the screams, or monsters lurking out from the gates of the place.

It was almost to perfect to be true. And it would have been if it wasn't for the low food supply that was now to the point we had no choice but to venture out. I was perfectly content of our own little bubble and sure I worried about our friends. But then Zared made a valid point where I now accepted the fact that they were all gone.

It had been our second night sitting in front of the fire when I asked, "Should we really be staying here like this? What about finding all our friends? They could be out there right now fighting for their lives."

It took him a moment to respond, staring at the crackling flames. "Jinsen...I know you want to believe they're alive. But think about it." He turns to look me dead in the eyes.

"We were looking for days and not once did we see anybody. If you had been there and had to run for it and lived, wouldn't you have returned the next morning to see who made it and who didn't?"

My throat tightened. "They could have all left together for good and kept moving on."

He slowly shook his head. "They would have come looking for us and we all would have run into each other. There's too many of them not to spot them babe. I think it's time we both face the fact that it's just the two of us." He whispers brokenly.

That night we stayed silent, laying on the ground in front of the fire just holding one another. I silently cried until I fell asleep. The next morning we didn't talk about it again and moved on with the training.

He now sighs heavily. "It's a good thing day just broke. We should hurry up and gather what we can and get back here as soon as possible."

He turns to leave, with me looking at the empty shelves one more time before following. We quickly grab our coats, bags of survival equipment just in case, and weapons. You can never be too careful. We learned that after the incident of the hospital. Once we were ready we headed out the front gates and quickly walked to the nearest place that could possibly hold food.

The only downfall staying at the golf course was the fact that the place wasn't near any other place by foot. It took us time to get to the first location, and time we didn't have if we wanted to make it back by nightfall.

Suddenly the wind started picking up, making my body shiver from the coldness. Fall was almost over, and the days were getting colder and colder. I look up into the sky and frown. It hasn't rained in the last two weeks, and it was bright earlier when we left. Now the clouds were rolling in and it looked like they intended to stay for a while.

I look over to Zared to see him looking up at the sky already. He too was wearing a frown. He looks over to me and says,

"Let's try and make this a quick run."

I won't argue with that. If we had just thought to do this yesterday than it wouldn't have been an issue. But we didn't and now we were stuck going out in this. Hopefully the clouds didn't cover the sun while we were out because I didn't want to get stuck at some beatdown place, holding our breaths, and desperately trying to be quiet again.

We found a little local store that only held a few canned goods. But I could tell it's been ransacked before. A little spark of hope shot through me that maybe, just maybe, our friends had found this store and got what they could to stay alive. But then again it could have been anybody.

We gather what we could find and got out of there. But on the way back the clouds became darker, and the sun was beginning to fade behind them. Thunder rumbled above and I felt the first faint of raindrops hit my nose. We weren't even close to the clubhouse.

And I knew there was no way we were going to make it if the creatures decided to come out of hiding. And Zared knew it too. We start running when the clouds finally opened up. In the faint distance I wasn't sure if it was my ears playing tricks on me with the rain or if they were really the sounds of low growls coming from all around us.

But I didn't want to find out.

Zared suddenly stops and stares to his left. I come to a stop, wiping my face from the downpour that was just getting worse. The bags were getting heavy as well. He looks over to me and points in the direction he was looking at.

"There's a building over there! We should stop and take in shelter for now!" He yells over the thunder and pouring rain.

I look over where he was pointing and see a brick wall through the trees. I wasn't sure what it was, but it was our best bet. There didn't seem to be anywhere else at the moment. I nod my head at him and together we start marching through the growth off the side of the road until we come across a beaten dirt path that led around the corner. The road started gathering puddles and turning it into thick mud. Our shoes sunk and slapped as we ran around the bend just to come across a large torn down old mill that looked like it hadn't been used in decades.

Staring up at the dark looming structure, I couldn't help but have the eerie feeling of foreboding enter my entire body. There was just something about it that made my heart slam against my chest and the feeling of looming doom wasn't far behind.
