Too late for Apologize
A/N: This is gonna be the longest chapter of all of my fanfics because I won't be on for about a week and a half. Its because my brothers death anniversary is next week... So this chapter is going to be roughly around two thousand words or more, so be prepared (it also has multiple P.O.V's)
*3rd person*
Jack was furious. He couldn't believe what he had heard. All he could do was pace the hallway outside of their room. That's all he could manage to do was pace and think. Hiccup kepts something so big such a secret. Pitch was alive and so is his sister. He couldn't think of a better reaction then to tell hiccup to leave. That's all he could manage.
"Jack are you okay?" Queen Tara asked, stopping his furious pacing. He looked up at her with an annoyed look.
"I'm far from fine." He said.
"What's the matter?" She asked.
He chuckled painfully. "You wanna know what the matter is? Ask Hiccup, he was the one keeping lies from me!" Jack jolted back realizing who he was yelling at. "Sorry, I'm just... Upset."
She raised a brow. "What secrets was he keeping from you, if you don't mind me asking." She said, walking up to put a hand on his shoulder.
He looked at her trusting eyes and sighed. "He kept my sister being alive a secret and... Something more." He said.
She smiled. "You know he could've kept it a secret because he didn't want to hurt you, you never know, he could've been threatened." She said.
"I doubt he was protecting me. He knew for years and didn't tell me and he knew about Pitch being alive for who knows how long!" Jack shouted.
"Hiccup seemed stressed when he ran in here and he was holding his shoulder for some reason, he looked determined to tell you something. He told you cause he didn't want to have anything to hide when you guys became married." She grabbed Jack's cheeks and smiled down at him. "You guys are meant to be. Don't break up because of some stupid fight and secrets."
Jack glanced down at his bare feet for a minute. He really did love Hiccup. Guess it was the heat of the moment and jack just snapped. He felt guilty. What if Hiccup wasn't supposed to tell him? What if Hiccup was doing what Tara told him. Maybe he was opening up since they were gonna get married soon.
"I guess your right," he slapped his forehead hard. "Oh I'm such an idiot! And I said all those horrible things to him and told him to le-" he gasped and turned to the room without finishing the sentence. With one swift move, he hurried and busted the door open, seeing Hiccup wasn't in the room. He hoped he was in the bathroom or the terrace so he ran into the room and searched frantically for Hiccup to no avail.
"Whats wrong?" Tara asked.
"Hiccup is missing... He's... He's not here." Was all Jack could manage before falling to his knees.

Toothless maneuvered hard in the trees, going so fast that the branches started to cut my cheek. But I could care less. My tears were flowing so hard down my face I was glad Toothless knew how to guide me. I can't believe Jack... I knew telling him was risky and would hurt him but I didn't know how badly. He hates me and that's all I nee-
"Ah!" My shoulder screamed in pain as I clutched it. My teeth gritting. I glanced down noticing my leather belt wasn't attached to Toothless. I quickly ignored the pain and gripped tight to the reigns. "Come on buddy! You need to land!" I shouted through the wind. Toothless glanced back at me and then headed down for the ground. Once we landed, my body couldn't stay upright and I slid off, hitting the ground. My breathing felt ragged and my body felt like it was on fire. Toothless rubbed his nose into my hand, signalling me that he was worried.
"It... Its okay buddy," I said lower than I meant.
Toothless grunted lowly in response. He had a worried look plastered to his face. He looked up the way of the castle and then back at me as if asking me an important question.
I pulled up my hand and rubbed his nose. "Yes... You may," I say before my hand dropped next to my head. Toothless took off towards the castle, leaving me on the ground. It was dark and I was alone in the woods. Let's see how long it takes for a passing bird to kill me.
A faint glow on my hand made me look at it. The ice ring was there, showing me that I still had some of his love. The ice sat there on my finger, taunting me about Jack. About how he asked me to leave him. I felt my tears slowly fall onto my cheek, causing me to sob even harder. Was this it? Are jack and I over? Is there no more... Us?
My heart hurt just thinking about it and so did my arm. My body felt like it was on fire, yet I felt so cold. I couldn't explain it, all I could do was sit there and feel the empty darkness take over.

I walked down with Queen Tara to the commons, as I thought back at our argument. I didn't hear him out fully and now he's gone to who knows where. Tara had an idea about it but she didn't bother sharing it. Apparently she has noticed that Hiccup was acting strange lately so she decided to ask everyone, starting with Alex. If Hiccup were to open up to someone, it would be Alex.
"Hey, Alex can we talk to you?" Tara asked, getting closer into the commons. Alex chuckled before running up to us with a smile.
"Have you noticed anything odd going on with Hiccup?" She asked.
Alex nodded her head. "Not really, I mean he has been more distant and quiet but other than that no," she said.
I sighed. "Well if you remember anything please let me know."
"I will," she bowed and walked away, but stopped. "Oh! He seems to be in pain whenever he touches his neck. I saw it at the end of the dragon race." She said.
"In pain?"
"Yeah, he itched his neck and then twitched but then after he ran into his room with a horrified look on his face." She said.
Wait... After the dragon race... I remember all of his armor sprawled out on the floor as if the person who threw it was scared of seeing what happened. What else was hiccup hiding?
A loud knock on the main door distracted me. I glanced back at Tara who merely shrugged. I looked forward and the leafmen were prepared for a fight. The door opened and all of my fear left me; replaced with anger. I lifted my staff up and pointed it at the door.
"Evening Jack, is Hiccup around?" Asked the tall skinny figure.
"What are you doing here, Pitch?" I asked.
He shrugged. "I'm looking for hiccup to tell him about the curse he has."
That caught my attention. "What curse?" I spat.
Pitch stepped back a bit with a surprised look on his face. "Didn't he tell you jack?"
"He told me about my sister and your guys secret rendezvous but nothing else." I kept my staff pointed at him and saw that Tara had a disgusted look on her face.
"Oh, haha, I thought he would've told you the most important part of the reason why he told you." Pitch said.
"What do you mean?" I demanded.
He chuckled. "Hiccup has slowly been suffering from one of Mandrakes touches. When Mandrake held him down my the throat, he touched Hiccup on the neck and had enough time to poison him. The only way to get rid of it, was to fix his heavy heart." Pitch explained. I was about to say something but then pitch chuckled. "I came to tell him that I found out something new about that curse."
"And what might that be?" Queen Tara asked.
He smiled. "That if you cause him guilt, immense sadness and regret, it will spread faster," he glanced over at me, "and quite possibly kill him."
"Kill him?" I practically screamed. "What do you mean?! He's already technically dead isn't he?"
"Yes, that is correct, but Mandrakes power can kill anything it wants." Pitch said.
"That's not true... Oh no... All those awful thing I said to him! Could that trigger his "spread?"" I asked.
He shrugged. "If what you said cuts him deep enough it can."
As if on cue, Toothless flew in practically knocking pitch down to the ground. He had a frantic look on his face as he stopped right in front of me. He ran towards me and bit down on my jacket, trying to pull me towards the door. I raised a brow and then realized what he was doing.
"Hiccup?" I asked Toothless. He seemed to understand and nodded his head. He turned his head towards the door and back at me. I felt my stomach turn. "I'll be back," I jumped onto toothless and glared at Pitch. "I better not see you again." I threatened.
He raised his hands and backed out of the door. I told toothless to go forward and he zoomed out of there like no tomorrow. He hurried, flying through the trees, cutting me slightly with a couple of them. Toothless seemed to be so worked up that it was insane. I've never seen him this upset and it was all my fault because I was to upset to talk to him and let him speak. Pitch is still the same asshole as before.
Toothless went down fast without any warning causing me to jolt. "Ah!" I screamed until he came to a stop on the floor. I felt sick to the sudden thought that we were here. I even felt more sick when a small glow caught my eye. I glanced down and saw the glow. I just wished I never did.
Hiccup lied there with an almost dead look. His cheeks were all cut up as his breathing was very shallow. I jumped off of toothless and rushed over to him, sliding one arm under his neck and lifting him up into my lap. I saw the black on his shoulder pulse to his sudden movement, causing Hiccup to grunt loudly.
"Hiccup?" I asked almost shamelessly.
Hiccup didn't respond instead he bit his lip hard causing it to bleed. His expression looked so painful and scared that it broke me to see it. But what made me jump was when he screamed loudly, holding his arm.
"Why didn't you tell me?" I asked to him, tears forming in my eyes. "I can't loose you again." I say. "I'm so sorry."
"I-im... Sorry," Hiccup stared up at me with green eyes that stained with pain. "I-I should've told you sooner." As soon as he said that his face relaxed.
Hiccup went limb in my arms.
